What are your thoughts on Varian’s extended family in Seven Kingdoms?

So like, I really could not care less about Vat7k to be honest.

I don’t have anything against it. I think it’s a great au, very well thought out, has a wonderful storyline and great characters; and I love that the fandom took a failed spinoff and created a community around it. It’s a great au, it just not my thing. I do like Varigo, but that’s about it. (Disclaimer because I’m tired and don’t want to come off as hateful; and the varigo fandom scares me sometimes /hj)

So all I really know about Varian’s extended family in that au is Amber and that she’s a farmer (I think) who gets with Nuru. That’s literally all I know about that. I have picked up, however, that they are generally very supportive of Varian and I think they “make Varian question the real meaning of family” or something like that…which I don’t really understand what that means? Does that mean that he learns what a family is and it’s them, does that mean they suck and he learns that sometimes a family is just you, your father, and a raccoon, and not some giant unit? Does that mean that he learns family isn’t just blood and it’s your closest friends? Idk that but is just from what I read off of the pitch and it’s always bugged me because what does that mean??

Now if I had to choose I would make Varian’s extended family the Addams family but I don’t think that would work out timeline-wise (but wouldn’t that make an amazing crossover? I’ve already got ideas for it.)

If the argument for Varian being really strong is that he is an inventor, why then is Hugo, also an inventor, considered to be physically weak? 🙄 Hugo, Yong and Varian are both strong boi inventors and take turns carrying Nuru who pretends she hates it but actually loves not having to walk on the dirty road with her dainty sheltered princess shoes.

yeah gay people are cool in all but the emotional journey of trying to find your place in the world as a teenager/ young adult and having to leave your home not only from intense burn out and the stress of the unpredicted turn your life has became from the past 4ish years but the longing for something,,, more and when your finally on your own, and that wht you expected to be alone, you find yourself enjoyed by the company of peers your age who are just as much as a smart-ass-know-it-all stubborn kid just like you and soon the walls you uncontiously built up over the years melt off and you find yourself embracing your passions again, experienceing the wonder that comes with learning agian, and good it feels to laugh at a mess and you are experiencing things you have never felt before and its thrilling and your somehow dont feel gulity about the past or worried about the future your no longr a kid but your not an adult yet your a silly teen and are allowed to be so and continue to be

I just thought of the cutest headcanon for Varian and the Seven Kingdoms, holy shit.

So in most fan designs of 7K Varian, his clothing deviates from Kaitlyn Ritter’s og outfit for him (orange bandana around the neck, baggy blue shirt) and instead depict him in a bluish vest with gold trim over a white blouse. NOW.

I couldn’t help but notice that the dark blue/grey vest over white shirt combo has already been worn. By none other than Eugene Fitzherbert aka Flynnigan Rider.

I have since FULLY accepted that Varian’s 7K vest is Eugene’s old one, with painted details by Rapunzel. He’s wearing his childhood idol’s vest decorated by the princess who forgave him when no one else would. CHANGE MY MIND DAMMIT.

Vat7k actor au PART 2!!!!!

•Hugo and Varian were able to shoot the betrayal scene only on the fifth+ attempt because, for some reason, it was too funny for them and they couldn't stop laughing (why was it so funny to them? nobody knows)

•All of Nuru's outfits for the interview were GORGEOUS(just like herself) and most of them had a cosmic/astrological theme to suit her character

•Hugo was constantly chewing gum in his free time and sometimes forgot to throw away the gum, so when they would start filming they had to do a new take

•Once, after a difficult day of filming, the 7k team was so tired that the four of them just fell asleep on the set

•Yong asked his parents to buy him and the 7k team coffee/sweets, etc. every day when they were taking him to the set

That's all with my headcannons, of course I'll try to come up with more, but for now I only have ideas for their interviews, BUT I STILL WANT TO HEAR MORE OF YOUR HCS!!!

*Another two hours later*

Eugene: Okay. Please tell me. Why did you toilet paper and egg Doctor St Croix house?

Cass, Hugo, Varian (Matter of factly): Ice cream.

Eugene (Sarcastically): Of course! That answers everything!
