Sentinel Vayne is good, actually

Yeah, look, Sentinels of Light wasn't a good event, and a lot of words have been typed about which champions got skins and which didn't and how they were treated.

But I think Sentinel Vayne is good - as a lore skin it is a genuinely good progression for the character, a solid way to move her on from being a solitary lunatic monster hunter and make her part of a group dynamic. And as a character design... look, Vayne's basic character design just doesn't look like it belongs on Runeterra. She's a secondary villain from a Blade comic, she's someone's Vampire the Masquerade original character do not steal, she doesn't look like a Demacian, or like she's even from the same planet.

Sentinel Vayne, by dressing her in the Sentinel of Light uniform, grounds her in the fantasy reality of League, gives her a group to actually belong to, and cheekily keeps the red sunglasses to give her a bit of anachronism. The haircut was maybe a bit much, but this is just a straight up better version of Vayne.
