people have been asking me latley what kind of music i listen too but i dont know how to explain to them that i listen to nothing but video game music and obscure stuff.

School was out. the evening light drifting in through the windows, golden and light and catching dusts shadows. They would've been home by now, on a normal day. Extracurricular activities weren't their style, but still they found themselves assigned to her class. a choice made during one of the cold spells where it wasn't them but it still left the expectations on their shoulders to carry out commands even when freedom had been relinquished. ━ regardless, they were here, and class was out, and still they lingered, just a little longer.

But where they went, trouble followed, and they really hadn't meant to break anything. ━ a moment alone, something occupied in the hallway leaving them as the only one in the room, a curiosity with the ukulele Dandelion so often carries ━━ Kris wasn't good with most instruments, only piano as something they could lend their hands to, but Dandelion could make the stringed acoustic sing, and maybe part of them wondered how it felt; how keys were so different than strings, how vibration can make wood come alive, seeing her passion in it, seeing her heart in it, maybe they could learn━━

snap. like a black cat crossing paths, walking under ladders, breaking mirrors; all they ever carried was bad luck.

they freeze when they're caught, hand still gentle but almost strangling in this light on the neck of the ukulele as a broken nylon string flails helplessly and curled, the murderer; dead silent, unreadable. ( startled, rabbit caught in snare; they really didn't mean to... )

INTRODUCTORY POST!

Hello and Welcome to the Void Crew crossover!

This post is to detail some of the key information and characters who are part of Void Crew. This post is going to be updated as frequently as the story does. Here's a little description I think sums it up well:

"A group of unlikely friends team up and recruit new pals to try and save the multiverse."

Disclaimer(?): This crossover can get pretty wacky, and there's lots of characters too, from several different franchises/video games. There's also a few ships in this, and while one of them plays a role in the conflict, they're not key parts of the story. (I know some people aren't huge fans of shipping, so this is a disclaimer for them).

The story is going to be told on AO3, and this blog is going to mainly be adding extra information and talking about some of the characters interactions and relationships with each other. I'm also going to use it to keep people updated on when I post more chapters.

A post about TENNA & MIKE, and why they matter. (Official Deltarune Analysis)

So this is a post I'm doing since I've heard a couple people outright brush off Tenna's big reveal in Sweepstakes, treating Mike as a primary antagonist, despite Toby trying to make it clear this isn't the case. So, this post is going to go into WHY this bothers me, what I think about Tenna and Mike outside of Vision Crew, etc. 1 - Mike is likely a mutual ally to Spamton I've seen a hell of a lot of people making Mike their primary antagonist even after the Sweepstakes lore reveals. This is something I can forgive if a project predates it, as it's EXTREMELY difficult to rewrite things like that. But, when you make a new project, it's a good idea to look into what we know about Mike through dialog. - Spamton knows him - He's associated with TV - ... That's essentially it? Usually, yes. But with Sweepstakes, we've learned another piece of crucial information. Mike is NOT the Cathode Screen. Mike is someone being protected from the "Cathode Crew."

So Mike's not the TV?! Then who the hell is? ... Well, a new character was revealed and namedropped similarly to Mike during the Sweepstakes. Out of nowhere... 2 - Who is Tenna?

We don't know very much about "Tenna." At all, really. The ONLY thing we know is a name and potential affiliation. Spamton shows disdain towards them, if the URL is him. So everything from beyond here is very speculative.

So... in the game, the TV is referred to as a lot of things.

We know Spamton kinda wants to wring this guy's neck. Almost every reference he makes towards TV is given negative connotation.

Personally, my working, NON VC theory is... 3 - Mike is our secret boss, Tenna is our main boss. This is a little bit of a shot in the dark, very very dark actually. It's like throwing a rock into an abandoned mineshaft. But, there's a few things that make me think this way. - Mike being on the run means he may be hidden away somewhere out of sight. - Tenna is the only character whose name is overtly connected to the TV, who is tied to being an antagonist. - Mike & Tenna as a word combination forms a sort of wordplay. None of these things are points, this last little segment is a bit more of a tangent with VERY loose thoughts that are most likely a shot in the dark. So, in summary... I think making Mike a primary villain is silly. Of course, I can't stop you! Feel free to do your own thing with it. Most of my favorite takes actually have Mike instead of Tenna... But, I'd really suggest looking into the lore given through Sweepstakes. It's the only real peek we have at Chapter 3 that isn't development info from the Newsletter!

Happy Anniversary Vision Crew!! (A small thank you message and story of how I got in vision crew!)

HI HI EVERYONE!!!!

It's Lex here... otherwise known as Kiwiquest,,, and I just wanted to finally come back on here and send my appreciation toward R.V. Pine themselves for lending me on VC! I still can't believe it's been a year.. This project has been so cool and fun to work on ever since i got in, and it's so nice to know that pine and the team are making it far and getting recognized so well! ((Also, apologies for the lateness!!! i was v busy yesterday and couldn't type this kinda thing up then : <)) Anyways!! Vision Crew is a very interesting case for me here and how i got in, i still remember pine messaging me on my old soundcloud asking me to join the project! It was honestly an honor that they did so, since i was already craving more deltarune fan content. We added eachother on discord and we started to chat, we shared our love for DR itself and soon a small little groupchat was made with members! I was the very first (i still hold this badge up to this day) Concept artist for the project! It was exciting to see what ideas the team and pine had, and it was even more fun to sketch them out and make proof of concepts! EXTRAS // MISC. Heres some of the earliest concepts i made for some characters! (and some music too...)

bestie drop the Kris & Ralsei relationship rant and why there's less fandom reception for them because of archetypes. the ppl want to know.

so, deltarune community, i introduce to you, a half-assed 3AM rant about kris and ralsei.

transcription below, sidebar screenshots, tldr and everything. uh, i recommend reading the post

while i still cannot pass out i figured out what bothers me about the way theyre presented and why platonic kralsei is such a craving that has no material in the fandom to work with whatsoever

we know the susie relationships. everyone cherishes kris and susies friendship. id say it comes first if anything. people vaguely appreciate her and ralsei as well - we had plenty of hangout opportunities for the two, there are even two or three comics about ralsei and his beef with her. friendship content. dynamic exploring

kris and ralsei presentation however includes but is not limited to: dry interaction (choose your flavour: kris/kris as player projection aka the thing everyone did with ch1 ralsei cutesy content), dry interaction 2.0 aka The Sillies/ralsei as sole background commenter in goofyass situations/the normal dude (may or may not include in-game shit), kris' resentment of ralsei (at least theyre getting creative), and finally mushy romantic couple shit and sugarcoating tropes

vc: and you could excuse that with a "oh, well but we dont know anything about ralseis backstory" yet we hardly know anything about susies either. we only theorise of her past related to adoption, being homeless, insert other determinators based material. we factually know very little of her, yet susie has established friendships with both kris and ralsei, even well-written fan content with noelle that is not limited by surface romance but rather the exploration of their dynamic, friends first, partners - second.

as in for either of them being morally gray? susie has no problems with that and i love her, we love her, the_newest_girl sweepstakes log hasnt changed anything. i do have a theory on how that could affect ralsei, though. might contemplate on that.

so susie has all that. kris, their nature still unknown to most, but overall sympathetic with a shade of gray morality (HEEEELLL YEAAA) has the similar spectrum. kris has all that.

with them and ralsei though? its like. not a single plate of them as a dynamic. as actual friends

and honestly its no wonder kralsei is getting rejected from lightner ship/old darkner ship communities

we present no base. no fundamental understanding or interpretation of them

...though i wish id browse through deltarune tag more legitimately and take samples every time i see kris and ralsei on-screen to have a list of categories for each interaction to sort them like legos by shapes and colours.

there was one.ONE comic of them that kept the hopes up. this is why kralsei is stayin alive. that, and tunas scarf thingy. our icon (shhhh hes seepy)

i, uh, dont have a conclusion. i remember writing it because i wish we actually came up with who they are. wish that even they had conflicts and resolutions, similarities and differences, like any other dynamic in the fanon, having multiple headcanons and interpretations.

i just wish we gave them a chance to be friends.
