Evaluation

Throughout this unit, I feel like I focussed a lot of my ideas around illustration as I really wanted to improve on using illustrator. I used my skills with a pencil and translated that onto illustrator, although I would like to improve over time by finding a more unique art style to my illustrations to fit a purpose. Alongside this, I found myself spending a lot of time practising After Effects and enjoyed getting a better understanding of the programme and all its capabilities. Subsequently, I discovered that there were things I wanted to achieve on After Effects that weren’t possible like 4D rendering and animating a 3D object, so I’d like to dive more into that in the future. 

Unfortunately, I had quite a rough term due to family emergencies which negatively impacted my mental health, leading to my absence being higher than usual. This meant that I missed a lot of crucial parts of the unit in terms of development, I feel as if my ideas would’ve progressed a lot more if I had made tutorials. Nevertheless, all I can take from this term is that I need to look after myself more and make sure I’m prioritising my time management to ensure I am getting the most out of my studies. I felt that I fell behind too much this term and am determined to be more mindful in the new year. 

In regards to my design process I feel I should’ve researched a lot more to influence my final design choices, especially as part of the 15 minute city project which felt slightly rushed. My design didn’t develop enough for where I would’ve liked it to have been. I also feel I need to focus more on layout and type, that seems to be my weak spot in VisCom as I come from such a Fine Art background, but I’d say it’s coming along gradually. From this unit I have learnt that support is always there if I need it and I must learn to seek it if necessary as it’ll benefit me and my studies. 

Upon reflection, I would’ve liked to have spent more time on my process book as I feel it’s very bland and plain, I didn’t consider the amount of work there actually was from this term. I should’ve begun it earlier in the term. Alongside this, I wish my group and I experimented more with the interpretation project as I feel it didn’t reach a good standard as a final piece. Despite this, I really enjoyed working with that group and made a couple of good friends who have supported me through this term keeping me up to date.

После такой рекламы в момент, когда союзники искали для Украины военную технику, покупкой «Леопардов» заинтересовалось правительство Бельгии, однако не сошлись в цене: Верслёйс заломил цену в 500 тыс. евро за один танк (которые он покупал ранее всего за 15 тыс. евро, когда бельгийская армия избавлялась от старой техники в рамках программы сокращения военных расходов).

Кто именно и за какую цену выкупил старенькие «Леопарды» из частной коллекции, не раскрывается. Однако накануне поставку Украине именно 30 танков такой модели анонсировал немецкий концерн Rheinmetall. Правда, как сообщают немецкие журналисты, танки находятся в таком запущенном состоянии, что сгодятся разве что на запчасти. Для понимания: «Леопард 1» был разработан в 1956 году, в массовый выпуск пошел с середины 1960-х годов.

How to Solve VVDI MLB Tool Collection Failures Problem?

Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool can collect and calculate original vehicle key and VVDI MLB key. It needs 200 points to collect the original vehicle key. When you collecting the original vehicle key, but you have a VVDI MLB key, you can waive the current collection points. The 33883 is an H-bridge gate driver (also known as a full-bridge pre-driver) IC with integrated charge pump and independent high and low side gate driver channels. The gate driver channels are independently controlled by four separate input pins, thus allowing the device to be optionally configured as two independent high side gate drivers and two independent low side gate drivers. The low side channels are referenced to ground. The high side channels are floating.

Photographs of a photo idea;

looking through his work in more detail, i’ve found a lot of photos shot by parr that capture people taking their own photographs as well as selfies. but also quite a few of people on their phones - he released ‘the phone book’ in 2000 a book dedicated to photos of people on their phones

maybe a direction to take this idea in could be more about self involvement?? these photos all show people in different locations around the world - most likely holidays where they are attached to their cameras / phones, rather than enjoying their time and being ‘present’. are they taking photos to make memories or to prove that they were there?? martin parr is known to take a satirical approach to the world around him / looking at the effects of western culture / wealth.

currently trying to see which idea is the strongest / which one i’m more drawn too out of this idea and my idea of looking into his fashion photog - while i think this idea has an interesting perspective i think i can do more with the fashion idea as its fairly unknown in term of his work & i can be pretty creative with promotion / ephemera ideas.

Panasonic CF-52 Drivers – The Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 is a notebook product that is designed for durability though it doesn’t mean you can slam this notebook at your own pace. But if just dropping from the table or accidentally getting a spill of water, this tough notebook will obviously still be able to operate.

Obviously, this notebook can be durable; the casing is made from magnesium alloy, which is strong enough to protect the organ of this Panasonic production notebook. Good, although it looks quite big, the Toughbook CF-52 is not too heavy. The total weight is only about 3, 3kg only while the handle mounted on the top instead makes this notebook so much easier to carry.

Another tough feature that is also installed on this notebook is its anti-spill keyboard. This means that if you often work with coffee, you no longer have to worry if your coffee is spilling over the keyboard. At the bottom of this keyboard, there are canals that will drain water that spilled onto the side of this laptop, so it doesn’t get into the body of Toughbook CF-52.

Panasonic installed the P8400 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor combined with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. This does not sound quite ‘ tough,’ but when considering that this notebook is produced for ‘ work ‘ consumption, this specification is more than enough to handle daily work.

So if you are an office worker who often should be outside service and carry around notebooks, it could be Toughbook CF-52 worth considering.

These are my final presentation sheets ready to print on A3. Overall I am happy with the final result of these and would say that there is a good flow amongst them with a clear brand identity. I highlighted most importantly the key values of the concept and tried to display it clearly throughout the presentation. The language I use in the body copy speaks a lot about the importance of sustainability and community and how the two can co-exist in a beneficial way. Cooking and food is one of the biggest tools for bringing people together and so I try to highlight this by adding social media presence. I like the subtleness of the colour palette and how the colours all came together in the end.

Reference Board With Galvanically Isolated CAN Bus Transceiver Supports Bit Rates Up To 5 Mbit/s

Recom introduced their R-REF03-CAN1 Reference Board to demonstrate the ISO1042 isolated CAN Bus transceiver in combination with the R1SX-3.305/H isolated DC/DC converter. The reference board requires only a single 3.3 VDC external power supply. A green LED indicates the presence of the VCC2 supply on the secondary (CAN Bus) side. OBSTACLE AVOIDING ROBOT

INTRODUCTION :

An Obstacle Avoiding Robot is a type of autonomous mobile robot that avoids collision with unexpected obstacles. In this project, an Obstacle Avoiding Robot is designed. It is an Arduino based robot that uses Ultrasonic range finder sensors to avoid collisions.

 MATERIALS REQUIRED:

·        Arduino NANO or Uno (any version)

·        HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor.

·        LM298N Motor Driver Module.

·        4 BO Motors.

·        Battery.

·        Wheels.

·        Chassis.

·        Jumper Wires.

·        Servo motor

BRIEF DESCRIPTION ON THE PROJECT:

In the above figure,  Arduino is the main processing unit of the robot. Out of the 14 available digital I/O pins, 7 pins are used in this project design.

The ultrasonic sensor has 4 pins: Vcc, Trig, Echo and Gnd. Vcc and Gnd are connected to the +5v and GND pins of the Arduino. Trig (Trigger) is connected to the 9th pin and Echo is connected to 8th pin of the Arduino UNO respectively. 

A Servo Motor is used to rotate the Ultrasonic Sensor to scan for obstacles. It has three pins namely Control, VCC and GND. The Servo Control Pin is connected to pin 11 of Arduino while the VCC and GND are connected to +5V and GND.  

L293D is a 16 pin IC. Pins 1 and 9 are the enable pins. These pins are connected to +5V.  Pins 2 and 7 are control inputs from microcontroller for first motor. They are connected to pins 6 and 7 of Arduino respectively.

Similarly, pins 10 and 15 are control inputs from microcontroller for second motor. They are connected to pins 5 and 4 of Arduino. Pins 4, 5, 12 and 13 of L293D are ground pins and are connected to Gnd.

First motor (consider this as the motor for left wheel) is connected across the pins 3 and 6 of L293D. The second motor, which acts as the right wheel motor, is connected to 11 and 14 pins of L293D.

The 16th pin of L293D is Vcc1. This is connected to +5V. The 8th pins is Vcc2. This is the motor supply voltage. This can be connected anywhere between 4.7V and 36V. In this project, pin 8 if L293D is connected to +5V supply.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

Before going to working of the project, it is important to understand how the ultrasonic sensor works. The basic principle behind the working of ultrasonic sensor is as follows:

Using an external trigger signal, the Trig pin on ultrasonic sensor is made logic high for at least 10µs. A sonic burst from the transmitter module is sent. This consists of 8 pulses of 40 KHz.

The signals return back after hitting a surface and the receiver detects this signal. The Echo pin is high from the time of sending the signal and receiving it. This time can be converted to distance using appropriate calculations.

The aim of this project is to implement an obstacle avoiding robot using ultrasonic sensor and Arduino. All the connections are made as per the circuit diagram. The working of the project is explained below.

When the robot is powered on, both the motors of the robot will run normally and the robot moves forward. During this time, the ultrasonic sensor continuously calculates the distance between the robot and the reflective surface.

This information is processed by the Arduino. If the distance between the robot and the obstacle is less than 15cm, the Robot stops and scans in left and right directions for new distance using Servo Motor and Ultrasonic Sensor. If the distance towards the left side is more than that of the right side, the robot will prepare for a left turn. But first, it backs up a little bit and then activates the Left Wheel Motor in reversed in direction. 

Similarly, if the right distance is more than that of the left distance, the Robot prepares right rotation.  This process continues forever and the robot keeps on moving without hitting any obstacle.

APPLICATION OF THIS CONCEPT:

·        Obstacle avoiding robots can be used in almost all mobile robot navigation systems.

·        They can be used for household work like automatic vacuum cleaning.

·        They can also be used in dangerous environments, where human penetration could be fatal

this identity is an incredibly strong example of an identity for a gallery and all of its applications. The traingle motif has been created by taking inspiration from the shield & crest associated with St Albans City, looking instead at the negative space the cross in the shield creates. It feels like a completely contemporary identity although taken from a historic object initially.  The logo can also be used similarly to that of a viewfinder when placed over the top of imagery of paintings / artefacts - the logo helps to draw attention toward the central space the logo creates which helps to highlight the imagery behind it.

In terms of branding, a series of patterns have been created using the 4 traingles as a base, this helps to strengthen the identity and creates more substance so that it can be applied to various ephemera and still feels interesting although still reflects the brands identity. The colour scheme is mainly indigo and gold which reflects the colours present in the city’s shield & crest. This is a very effective choice, reflecting the heritage of the gallery but similar to the logo, it still feels pretty contemporary - no bright shouty colours are needed for this identity nor would they feel very appropriate. The identity is reflective of the city’s heritage but has a contemporary touch from the minimalist logo and approach to branding.

for wayfinding, an obvious choice considering the logo is made up of traingles, studio sutherland have utilised the logo so that directional signs are based on the triangles pointing toward different exhibtions / rooms. The triangles have been used through out all of the identity, so that its flexible and adaptive. Triangles are fairly unobtrusive and don’t feel time locked in any way, a good concept to use for this gallery as it feels appropriate for both contemporary work as well as more historical work that the gallery displays.
