Like Photoshop, But You Can Really Run It!

If you want photo editing software that’s so unbelievably lightweight it starts up in less than 2 seconds, try Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7.04.

It’s from over 20 years ago, so it WILL be able to run on literally any windows pc you can dig out of a garbage heap. The tools are focused on photo editing, not painting, so it may not be the best for digital painting (I recommend the modern free program Krita for that). The company itself is LONG DEAD so you are under no threat of being sued or whatever for downloading it. I got into digital art when i was literally 4 years old because my dad got a cracked copy of this program from a coworker. Believe me, I know this program like the back of my own hand.

It has all the “basic” things you might want, like a layer palette with masks, groups, and math modes, as well as vector text editing, and ‘smart’ lasso tool for cutting out backgrounds, among hundreds of other things. All the toolbars are customizable, for example I put together this small one just for imitating old TV signals: Vertical distortion, erode, dilate, soften, motion blur, wave, and skew. all in one place, because I use them together.

The program even has tools you won’t find in newer programs, like red-eye remover, and scratch repair. These were helpful back when not everyone owned a digital camera, and when digital cameras sucked ass. The scratch repair tool can actually still be used as a sort of ‘dumber’ version of the heal brush from photoshop.

Again, the customizability cannot be overstated. It’s everywhere.

Every window either has a dropdown to save presets, or if it’s a very simple window it will remember the last setting you ran it on. And remember, this all runs incredibly fast, because it was built for relatively ancient hardware. It’s a beast of a program, but just 30mb in size, and using very, very little RAM. It’s a 32 bit program, and literally just works.

...oh, and did I mention it’s able to use Photoshop files?

Other coins in the same shares will be distributed to people and to the administration. Also 10% from the income of the administration will go to the users. All payments will be distributed every hour.
