on more bridgerton discourse I think it's fine if Penelope has a physical relation with Lord Debling (or not). The reason is not so she can get "revenge" on Colin but so Bridgerton can stop the cycle of "this man fucks so often and so frequently he's basically a god" and "woman who has never had a sexual encounter before him." it would be especially refreshing because Penelope is finding herself and what she wants. is it going to happen? no, but it's really weird to see everyone so obsessed with her chastity.
if Colin is going to be whipped for the girl that called him a beta cuck and his little sister a communist bitch I think he can handle not a virgin. like I'm supposed to be fine with him crawling shirtless into the carriage with his baby brother gregory in the passenger seat after some threesome sexcapade or whatever and then Penelope can't even have a horny makeout with another guy? for what? for what purpose? being obsessed with virginity in romance is just annoying. a messy girl boss like Penelope should be allowed to make romantic mistakes too lol.
I've bizarrely seen people try to say that you don't support the romance if you support Penelope having sexual agency and having any encounters with anyone but Colin (during the period where he's claiming to have no interest in her?) And I don't understand how wanting parity or equality in a relationship means not supporting it.
Wanting Penelope to try to move on and give feelings for another man (or woman - hello toxic yuri Peloise 👀) a real shot is not anti-Colin like that is such a juvenile mindset. Tbh I also somewhat don't want this to happen because I think it risks engendering unnecessary in-show drama and I'm very uninterested in seeing it on my screen but I also don't care. nobody should care 😔 it's about the execution of sex or kissing or whatever scenes and how they relate to the story that make them good or bad - not just whether or not they happen & you happen to ship the couple at the time

helloooo. I know I've been gone for ages, but it's because I was stuck in the hell-hole that was revising for my final exams. but I'm back now with the news that it was, in fact, all worth it because i passed them! 🥳
i am a student dentist no more, now i'm just a dentist which is crazy and a little scary to say lmao 😉😅🦷
and after some of the busiest, most stressful, and most exciting weeks of my life, i'm finally back to catch up on everything i've missed! and get back to playing! i've still got a handful of posts ready to go, but i'm hoping to get the chance to hop back in game later to get back into the groove of playing and take some new screenshots. how funnnn 👏 but not until i've caught back up on my dashboard!
anyway, i hope you've been well whilst i was gone! i missed youuu! 💕

The World’s Sole Vegetarian City and Its Ban on Non-Veg Food
Tumblr media
For food enthusiasts, the combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes creates a complete culinary experience they seek in any new city they visit. While some focus more on vegetarian cuisine, others have a preference for non-vegetarian food.
However, there is a city where only vegetarian food is available.
Gujarat Bhavnagar’s Palitana town is now the world’s first city to entirely ban non-vegetarian food, which includes sale and consumption of meat and eggs. It has been reported that this all commenced after a huge protest by Jain monks including a hunger strike in 2014, where almost 200 monks demanded that around 250 butcher shops be closed.

i became a vegetarian at the start of the summer of this year not out of any particular guilt-driven or ethics reasons but because i felt like my relationship to food had become very stagnant and borderline disassociative, where i never thought about what i would eat and would rely on the same few easy things all the time, and i needed something to give me both structure and a forced reason to actually acknowledge the food that i ate.
and it has really worked. i'm trying a lot of new things all year, and finding new favorite foods (poblano peppers! heirloom tomatoes!), and as a home cook i have been seeking out and preparing new recipes like never before which has been very fulfilling for not just my diet but my creativity and my hobbyism. this lifestyle change has succeeded exactly how i hoped it would by forcing me to create a brand new relationship to food!
and although it wasn't my intention i do in fact feel less ambient environmental and ethical guilt about my part as a consumer in industrialized meat production (and obviously individual choice has significant material limits which i don't hold against anyone, but still).
and i just think this has been really cool and if you feel like you're in a similar spot with your relationship to food then maybe consider it, even as a short-term experiment

Making non dairy ice cream; I hoping this will be easier especially as I don’t have an ice cream maker.
Just freeze bananas then put in a food processor and whizz up. Add in the blackberries. Put in the container back in the freezer.

Comparing Protein sources non-veg vs veg
When it comes to protein, both non-veg and veg diets offer satisfactory options. While non-veg rely on meat, beef and fish, vegetarians rely on plant based sources like lentils, tofu, beans and nuts. It's not about which diet offers more, but rather about balancing protein sources to meet nutritional needs. Whether you choose animal or plant based proteins, variety is key for a healthy diet.

Bank holidays on Saturdays are the worst. Can I do my usual grocery run Saturday morning? No, I have to do it Friday, after work. Which means not only do I need to figure out what I'll have for dinner next week by tomorrow afternoon, I'll also have to have a backup plan or two in case my suburban supermarket has already been picked clean by the senior citizens and part-time workers. Plus, obviously, no extra day off work.
