Today C and I picked up this box of meringue and cookies, a loaf of sesame sourdough bread, and a (not vegan) "boujee" choux 🤩 I haven't had lemon meringue in more years than I can count, and yours was beyond dreamy! 🍋💛 . I'm so glad I took this quick snap before we drove away because *of course* things shifted around in the box driving to Teulon, Gimli, and back to Winnipeg 😅🙃🤭 But lemme tell ya, squished and still delish! . Thanks for gracing Winnipeg this yumminess!! . Thank you so much to @fairmontwinnipeg and #Chef Virginia Jensen for preparing a sumptuous #vegan #tastingmenu for our group tonight - it was truly delicious and absolutely memorable!! I wish I brought a copy of our menu home so I could accurately relay details, but here is my attempt​ to recall the specific notes of we enjoyed: 😊 Sesame croquettes with an array of sautéed wild mushrooms; cauliflower veloute with pumpkin seed pesto; a palate cleanser of mulled wine ice; potato cannelloni with greens, lentils, and an elegantly balanced squash purée (pictured); and a beautiful layered dessert featuring coconut pana cotta, passion fruit coulis, almond frangipane, candied hibiscus, and a raspberry reduction... Pure heaven! Ooh and there were still cherry cordial truffles after dinner... Wow!! So delicious and we had so much fun together, too!
