A bit of both, probably.

Any rare insight Berserk offers to the team is either brushed off or works by accident.

The Powerpunks are weapons, they don't need school, or intelligence beyond what will help them survive doing Plutonium's grunt work.

So, there's not really any way to improve beyond self-study, and the Punks think studying is lame, so they're not going to do it-- aside from Brat, who may learn to read thumbing through issues of Cosmo she finds around Viletown.

In a way they're all "dumb" the way the Rowdyruffs are, Berserk is just the dumbest. Not as bad as Boomer, but not good enough to come up with any decent comebacks

I think it's a very nice head canon! I quite often enjoy seeing others languages implemented into their characters / AU's ^^!

What’s the difference between swapfell and fellswap? from what I’m understanding swapfell is a fell au of underswap well fellswap is a swap au of underfell is that right?

I think you've got the right of it, yeah!

The way I think of it for Swapfell/Fellswap is that the first one is the AU that's being started with, and the second is what's being done to it.

So, Swapfell is: Swap, but edgy

And Fellswap is: Fell, but flip em

Of course the size of the fandom and number of AUs out there being what it is, there might've been a lot of creators approaching it differently and making different interpretations that would make that 'definition' shift, but that's how I know it so even if it's outdated info that's what I've got. XD

as a "character" he's just boring. i realized i only care when i think of him as a tragic facet of hajime instead of some entirely separate guy. like.."he" won't show up because hajime is here as himself and he's trying to heal from that

YES!! Honestly I have yet to be able to sit down to the novel (which does have an ongoing translation, honestly bless the translators) but I've heard so little about it?? I'm really surprised how sparse any info I've heard is 😭 it's part of what makes me want to sit down to it even more lmao

I noticed that you called swapfell red sans blackberry but isn’t blackberry that nickname of swapfell purple sans?

Swapfell Purple Sans is "Berry" to me :p has been for a long time now

Meanwhile, Fellswap Red Sans is "Blackberry" because look at him. Small, and black is a core color in his palette, alongside red

Fellswap Red Sans is basically a smaller version of Edge (UF Paps). And we all know how sharp and zesty Edge is with people. Hence "Blackberry", since than has more of an edge to it than "Berry" does, to me
