HEADCANONS ABOUT THE BAD KIDS

Kristen has Asthma. No doctors can figure out where it came from, because it's not genetic, but she remembers a dark forest, a temple, and a horn spearing through her lungs, and she just knows. She asks Cassandra to fix it, and Cassandra tells her that it cannot be done. She keeps an inhaler on her at all times, and when she breathes too deeply, she can still feel the horn piercing her.

Fig, through a combination of tiefling blood and her own decisions, sounds like somebody who's been smoking all their life. When she was younger, it just sounded like a raspy throat, but now that she's older, it's that sultry, sort-of attractive rasp. Ayda says that she sounds sick, and it takes a few minutes of explaining before Ayda understands. Fig always teases Ayda with her most sultry, raspy voice, and laughs when Ayda's hair poofs upwards.

Adaine tried pancakes for the first time when Kristen made them and now they're her favourite breakfast food. Her favourite toppings are whipped cream, fruit, and syrup. She doesn't say that every time she eats them, they trigger sensations of eating at a cold table with cruel people. She doesn't say that she sees a time where she will eat pancakes alone, and cry with the wish to eat them with Kristen again. She does not say a great many things.

Gorgug, through no fault of his parents, in almost unhealthily skinny. It's incredibly hard to find books on Orcish physiology, and Thelma and Digby tried their best to keep up, but it wasn't meeting the required amount of calories. Now that they know (Gorgug's bio dad gave them a book), they feed him much more, but he's always hungry. He feels bad for it, and sometimes even flat out refuses the food, feeling like it's a waste.

Fabian has dissociative episodes where he falls back into the fear that nobody remembers him. He sometimes can't even remember himself. He pretends to be fine, and then you're calling his name loud enough for the Hangvan to hear it outside and he doesn't respond. He sometimes slips into old habits of not being able to move from his bed, and when he does, all the Bad Kids visit him until he can get out. They never rush him, and sometimes it turns into a slumber party.

Riz has night terrors. When he does sleep, which is rare in and of itself, he wakes up. When it's a good night, without screaming. He'll wake up in a cold sweat, unable to move for minutes or hours, but he won't scream. When it's a bad night, he will wake up screaming loud enough to reach the lowest floor of Strongtower luxury apartments, and he won't know where he is. He has hurt his mom, and his friends, and when he comes out of the haze of pure fear with sobbing noises that sound like his heart is being ripped from his chest.

It was easy for Jerome to forget that before you were the ship's chief surgeon, you were a veterinarian

After your home, Harvest, was attacked, you enlisted. It was easy to forget but you'd have this energy about you when you got to see animals and to check their health. A reminder of the galaxy before the Covenant.

Yesss, gimme all the headcanons, I live for them.

Jerome would always notice how his partner's eyes lit up whenever they saw the creatures on said planet. It never failed to catch him by surprise when they'd kneeled down and held out their palm, the animals around sniffing the air before cautiously approaching his partner. It was like watching a 'real-life Disney princess/prince,' as the crew often joked while you patched up their injured squadmates with a bird perch contently on your shoulder. Your compassion extending not only to their fellow humans but also to the creatures of the universe. It was a reminder of the goodness that still existed, even in the darkest of times. And for Jerome, it was a reminder of the incredible person beside him, who never lost sight of their roots amidst the chaos of the stars and bloodshed.

that's the question sukuna hates most.

he scoffs, “do not ask me that question.” he says — he was the king of curses for god’s sake.

and yet.

you smile at him and his heart does a little flutter, something he can’t comprehend the reason for.

“can you answer that question once?” you say and he rolls his eyes.

“i don't do love, concubine.” he says.

“and yet you let me stay in your chambers for the next morning.” you tease.

it's true, sukuna always let you stay in his chambers for the night and for the next morning, something he never did with the other concubines, something he will never do with them.

this was reserved for you, and only you.

“it doesn't mean anything.” he denies and you let out a laugh, “sure it doesn't.”

“do not make fun of me, woman.” he growls and you laugh again and he relishes in the sound of it, the sound of your happiness — something that he will never admit.

“i'm just saying, denial is the first step.” you say, and your tone is a bit sleepy as you hum to yourself, snuggling up to him and subconsciously, his arms wrap around your waist.

“think about it,” you tell him before yawning, “goodnight, ‘kuna.”

it was stupid of you to think that he could do love, and yet everything he has done for you says otherwise, everything he remembers about you, everytime he kisses you and every time he holds you ever so gently.

sukuna was undoubtedly in love with you, he never said it, but you knew.

you always knew.

sukuna pulls you closer to him as you drift off to sleep, snoring softly, and once he's sure you're in deep slumber, he mumbles,

“goodnight, y/n.”

A very specific idea/scenario I have about Alastor's sleeping habits

He barely even sleeps in the first place. He sleeps like only a few hours a week, in one go. He locks himself up in his room once a week, sleeps for 4 hours straight and that's it. And since he doesn't sleep much, each time he does he falls into a deep slumber and it's absolutely impossible to wake him up he's straight up passed out until he gets fully recharged.

He does this because the idea of being in a vulnerable position where anyone could do anything to him while he's completely defenseless is too unsettling for him, so he sleeps as little as he can and always makes sure he's locked up first, away from everyone else's eyes.

HOWEVER, one time he's playing cards with the rest of the hotel, and because he got unconsciously so comfortable around them, he accidently falls asleep on the couch during the game. Everyone is shocked because they didn't even know he actually needed to sleep (they always hear him walk around the hotel humming at night like an absolute creep so they just all collectively assumed he didn't need to sleep).

Charlie panicks a little because nothing seems to wake him up, but he's still breathing and seems fine, eventually they all just let him sleep there and keep on going with their card games since the noise doesn't seem to bother him. Charlie even put a blanket on him, and Angel initially wants to draw something on his face as a prank but in the end everyone agrees not to try anything like this, because who knows how the radio demon would react,,, could be dangerous.

A few hours later Alastor finally wakes up, immediately understands what happened and plays it cool like "Oh dear, looks like I passed out, too bad I couldn't finish the game :) oopsie" but internally he's SCREAMING

The biggest misconception in the bsd fandom ever to me is people constantly portraying Atsushi as someone who trauma dumps excessively when he canonically barely talks about it at all.

The entire point is that Atsushi does not talk about his trauma he’s just constantly thinking about/reliving it. He can’t escape the memories of his past so he tries not to acknowledge them.

He only mentions it when asked, either directly or when someone asks him to explain himself.

Atsushi doesn’t even give a cohesive explanation for what he saw while under Dogra Magra, he just apologizes to Haruno and Naomi.

If Lucy hadn’t had her whole “you’ve never suffered the way I have” spiel then I doubt even the audience would’ve gotten to find out about his scars

If Akutagawa never asked him how it felt for the orphanage headmaster to die Atsushi would have never told him that he’s been hallucinating.

In the omake where Kyoka asks him why his hair is like that it’s clear he wouldn’t have told her that unless she had asked.

In 55 minutes Atsushi very briefly mentions sleeping on a dirty floor somewhere to Kunikida because he was trying to explain and justify his behavior.

And the thing is that there are scenes that implies that the other characters see Atsushi behaving strangely and are visibly confused because they do not understand what’s wrong with him.

Remember, we as an audience get to see things about characters that the main cast doesn’t. Just because we see into Atsushi’s mind doesn’t mean the other characters know what’s going on in there.

Also little footnote here that I think this is a reference to the moon over the mountain but I digress

I'm sure many have said this, but it always makes me weak to think that Feanor, brilliant and tragic High Prince, the most beautiful of the Noldor, the master of language and smithwork, the greatest mind the Noldor have ever seen, falls in love - still young - with Nerdanel, who is great in her field and as keen as him, but is a normal girl, not nobleborn, not even considered pretty, but he loves her and values her. They travel together, they share the same passions, he loves her for her mind, her hunger for knowledge, her strength. He found his match in her, although she was also different - calmer, gentler, wiser.

Feanor's descent starts when he turns away from her counsel, when the first cracks in their marriage appear, and she is not swayed by him, she knows he is wrong and she holds her ground.

This is not in the published Silm and it's just a version of the story, but Feanor's words to her - were she a true wife - tell me of someone who is incredibly bitter and angry that their wife has left him when he thought she should have followed them. Despite the long estrangement, he still expected her to follow him. He managed to move an entire kingdom, but not his own wife.

How strong she must have been to survive the grief.

I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)

I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!

also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...

...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.
