Tonight is the preview of 2018 Venice Biennale. @rainersioda shows his new series 'NEAR EAST - FAR WEST' at Palazzo Bembo in the Exhibit. 'TIME SPACE EXISTENCE'. We publish the catalogue of Rainer Sioda's Work with the same title. The Exhibition is open to the public starting tomorrow until 25th November. The book is a limited edition and will be online in our Webshop next week. Para tal proyecto, el Estado Vaticano solicitó a la Fundación Giorgio Cini los jardines de la isla de San Giorgio Maggiore, ubicados detrás de la gran iglesia diseñada por Andrea Palladio y que da el nombre a esta isla y allí se quiso rendir homenaje a la capilla que en 1920 diseñó el arquitecto sueco Gunnar Asplund, inspirado en los templos escandinavos de madera, en el Cementerio Woodland de Estocolmo. Partiendo de esta premisa, el profesor Dal Co convocó a once famosos estudios de arquitectura internacional para que uno de estos hiciera una reconstrucción de la capilla diseñada por Asplund y fueran expuestos en su interior los planos y bocetos de la original aparte de ser el punto de partida para el recorrido de los visitantes a través de este hermoso parque boscoso con apertura hacia la laguna donde los otros diez estudios de diseño realizaron sus visiones personales de este “espacio de orientación, encuentro, meditación y oración” como definiera Gunnar Asplund su Skogskapellet. TITULO: Capilla Asplund DISEÑO: MAP Studio de Francesco Magnani y Traudy Pelzel [map-studio.it] PATROCINANTE: ALPI, empresa italiana fabricante de recubrimientos de madera decorativa [alpi.it] CONSTRUCCIÓN: Una estructura de 11 metros de profundidad y 8 metros de alto en forma de prisma, fabricada en madera ALPI y con contraste de texturas entre exterior e interior.
