today, in nonsense things that go through my head: Eddie buys the symbiote a stuffed blue lobster.

It is important that you know that it is a lobster and that it is blue and that it is a stuffed, more important to clarify that it is blue.

It's so silly. Eddie was shopping in a minimarket like any other day and they pass by a shelf full of stuffed animals. They don't pay much attention at first because, no. But suddenly and for no reason the symbiote's senses fall into a specific stuffed animal.

It's a lobster and it's BLUE. It wouldn't come as much of a surprise because apparently humans like to give stuffed animals biologically impossible colors. But this was different, because the night before the symbiote saw a documentary on marine animals where they named the existence of blue lobsters. At the impulse of the symbiote, Eddie walked up to the stuffed lobster, they held it in their hands and examined it a bit, it was nothing special, it was a little bigger than their hands, soft to the touch and a bright blue color. Eddie couldn't understand why the symbiote was so interested in a stuffed animal since he had never had this reaction to anything other than chocolate and TV before.

The symbiote affirms how cute that lobster is and that they should buy it, Eddie doubts, it's not that they have a lot of money, they never have a lot of money and they rarely can afford to buy nice things. The symbiote understands, it's not exactly sad when Eddie says no, but there's something like a hint of disappointment. Eddie feels a little bad about that, lately he hadn't done many nice things for the symbiote, it's not that he was neglecting and mistreating it, but he had left behind being affectionate with them. They take one last walk around the store looking for the latest things to buy, but before going to the checkout to pay for everything, Eddie looks at the shelf with stuffed animals, says "fuck it" and buys the lobster.

was it a bit expensive? Yes, toys are worth a lot of money lately, but in exchange for the symbiote's heartfelt thrill, it wasn't money badly spent. The symbiote is not a child, it does not play with the lobster, but it likes to have it in a place where it can observe it and put it next to Eddie while he sleeps.

Another night while Eddie sleeps, the symbiote sees kids naming their stuffed animals on TV. They always found it curious that humans love to name everything they come across so much, but they decided to give their lobster a name anyway.

They thought about it for a while, it had to be a name that they liked and that they would not forget, as a first option they thought of "Eddie" just because it seemed like a special name, but it was not correct to have Eddie the host and Eddie the lobster, they thought it would confuse them. So decided to call it "Charles". It wasn't them favorite name, but it was Eddie's middle name, Edward Charles Allan Brock. Not the best but it was ok, Charles the lobster :3
