I really love the sketchbook you made, especially the cover! I was wondering how you managed to get the cover so glossy? And is it just a stiffer paper or is there anything you did to it to give it a stronger structure?
Thank you ! I loved to make it too :) For the cover I used a watercolor paper, I painted on it and then added some vernish-glue I had left from my uni project ! It looks better and protect it better too
Sting (yes the singer, I'm a super fan) once said that Winter was the season of ghosts and remembering.
I didn't agree first, as the big Halloween-fan I am XD But as the time passes, I understood better what he meant and I feel it's right.
It's a season to look in the past, to look what have been done, what have been missed, to meet our ghosts and to take a time for introspection before setting new goals, new ideas and try a new start... On an empty sheet, white as snow.
That's why I wanted a ghost for january.
I've had the chance to meet two ghost magpies for now (in different locations) and I feel quite inspired by them.
She is looking behind at the past and at some ghost leaves (they won't be metallic this time, just transparent UV vernish) that has fallen, under the vigilant eyes of the birch's trees.
I wanted something calm, almost meditative. The instant when you look behind before taking your leap to the new sun.
And I hope that this new sun will give you a lot this year. ♥
Thanks to David Gray on Twitter for leting me use one of his photo as reference ^ ^
after i apply vernish and my signature to this painting i finished im gonna paint the fall of lucifer from the heavens ^_^ (like that one drawing from gustave doré)
I tried playing with self-hardening clay and made some trays to gift this Christmas. After drying for 48h I painted it with acrylic paint and then vernish.
Is the UR SUGAR 60 Colors Nail Gel Polish Kit UV LED Gel Vernish Send 6pcs Functional Gel Base Top Whole Set Nail Gel Learner Kit available for purchase?
This panel makes me think ‘energy’. Perhaps a lighting generator on the left with lightning bolts shooting out in a wavy line. In the bottom middle, there appears to be an even older petroglyph beneath the concentric circles. It’s darker indicating desert vernished washed down before the later elements were added. That old section makes me think it may be a snake.
