With that, he pulls off the sleepmask, blinking in surprise and awe at what he perceives.

"Do you like it?"

Before him lies a tray full of wonderful cupcakes, each one looking unique. His lips curve into a bright smile as he admires the cupcakes.

"It took me quite some time to perfect them," you tell him sheepishly, rubbing the back of your neck.

"They all look so tasty, sweetheart!" He grabs one of the cupcakes and inspects it further. A violet glaze with purple and pink hearts on them.

"May I take a bite?"

"Of course, they're supposed to be eaten, Satori!"

He carefully takes a bite out of the cupcake. His taste buds are overwhelmed by the immaculate flavor. It tastes like strawberries!

"They're so yummy, (Y/N)! I love them!"

He finishes his cupcake and then wraps his arms around you, holding you in a tight embrace. He nuzzles his face into your hair and inhales deeply. He smiles. You smell just like the cupcakes.

From the moment he saw your name on the participant list, Hermes has been on edge. He tried to hide it from everyone else. While most Gods missed the way he moved more stiffly, those like Zeus caught onto it. Of course, why wouldn't Hermes be so tensed up? His lover was going to participate in Ragnarok! It wasn't like he didn't trust you and your abilities. He knew that you were capable of defending yourself. But... a small, irrational part of his brain told him that this was not going to end well for both of you.

Hermes stood with Ares as Heimdall announced the next round of Ragnarok. Hermes masked his uneasiness with neutrality. He watched as Heimdall introduced you... and then your opponent. Hermes was confident that you could beat them. But this little annoying voice in his head kept on pestering him, telling him otherwise.

Hermes watched the fight commence. The tension was grinding on his nerves. He watched every single one of your movements, explaining your techniques and skills to Ares. Even the God of War could see how stiff Hermes was, but he found no words to comfort his brother.

You dodged your opponent's attacks with ease, but somehow, it got increasingly difficult for you to do so. Hermes had to watch as your opponent landed more and more attacks on your body – the body he always worshipped was now littered with injuries.

His eyebrows furrowed in terror as your strength faded away. No... it couldn't be. The Gods watched in horror as your opponent landed one final hit on you. You stood there, blood pooling out of your wounds. Your body collapsed to the ground... and then dissipated into thin air.

No... no, this had to be a nightmare. There was no way that a measly human being... killed you. No. This was a cruel prank that Loki was pulling on him. But a glance at the God of Mischief convinced him that this was real. It wasn't an illusion. You were gone. You were actually gone.

Hermes was frozen in place. His eyes were wide. He couldn't take his eyes off the arena. No. It couldn't be true. He pressed his lips together, biting back the tears that threatened to leak. He couldn't allow himself to mourn and grieve... not now. It got increasingly difficult for him to keep his composure. His hands were balled into fists, trembling ever so slightly.

He ignored what the other Gods said and left. He retreated to his private chambers. No one dared to follow him. Of course, everyone knew of your relationship. Therefore, they could figure out that Hermes was... not feeling well, to put it mildly. No one dared to disturb him.

Hermes felt pure, unadulterated hatred for the human that killed you. They took you away... brutally. Ragnarok was a mistake. The Gods should've exterminated them without giving them a chance. But... there was nothing he could do about it. You were gone... and you wouldn't come back.

For the first time in his entire existence, Hermes fell into despair.

❀ When you first met Jack, you expected him to be like everyone else; you expected him to be horrified by your appearance and to run away. So, naturally, it surprised you to see him so... fascinated by you.

❀ After that, the two of you grew closer and closer. Neither of you could explain how it happened if someone was to ask you. It just came... naturally. He was drawn to your appearance. Was it your appearance? Or you being the older sister of Hades, Adamas, Poseidon, and Zeus? Perhaps your caring and soft nature? Probably everything.

❀ He has never had to comfort someone like that in a long time. He felt a bit anxious himself, knowing how it ended when he tried to comfort his mother when she broke down sobbing. He didn't want this to end the same way. So when you accepted his comfort, he felt relieved.

❀ He finally had someone who actually liked him, or dare I say, loved him. He sat there with you, telling you how beautiful you were in his eyes. How wonderful and lovely you were and that he was glad to have found such a magnificent lady like you.

❀ "My fair lady, do not shed tears, for those humans do not know how to appreciate your presence. I know it hurts to be viewed as a monster, but rest assured: I do not view you like that. You light up my life like the sun; I'd be lost without you."

❀ He knew that his words wouldn't completely ease your pain; after all, humans would probably be forever terrified of you due to your reputation as the Devil, but that didn't mean that he would let you suffer all on your own. He always knows that you're on your period. Even if it may not be obvious to others, he is able to pick up the signs, no matter how subtle they are. Your face slightly contorting in pain, your arms wrapped around your abdomen, you being irritated more easily, and so on. He sees the hints you drop.

You lie in your bed, clutching your stomach in pain. Today's one of the bad days. You pull your legs up to your chest, wanting to ease the cramps at least a little. Hermes went out earlier to get the sweets that you've been craving so badly. You don't know when he'll return, but you hope that it'll be as soon as possible.

A faint knock and the door to your room being opened cause you to look up. There he is, carrying several bags full of different types of sweets. Hermes sees the way your eyes light up. A soft smile tugs at his lips. He closes the door behind him and walks over to your bed. He gently places the bags on the mattress before sitting down next to you. Only then do you notice another small package in his gloved hand.

"How are you doing, my love?" His soft voice has a soothing effect on you. He delicately runs his hand through your hair, making you close your eyes. His touch is always so... soft. Almost as if he's afraid of harming you in any way.

You tell him that the cramps are especially bad today. A frown makes its way onto his lips. He then opens the small box in his hand.

"I thought so. I have brought you some medicine to help with your cramps," he says and grabs the bottle of water on your nightstand. It's almost empty. He makes a mental note to bring you another flask later on. He gives you the bottle as you sit up and takes out a pill. He then hands you the small pill.

"It will have an effect in around thirty minutes, my dear," he speaks while gently stroking your hair.

"What else do you want me to do?" Hermes wants to make you feel as comfortable as possible. It pains him to see you in such a state. If he could transfer your pain to him, he would do it without hesitation. Tell him whatever your heart desires. He will do anything to make you happy. He will do anything to ease your pain.

Later on, he will suggest getting your cramps checked out. It can't be natural to be in such immense pain for a week once a month. But for now, he gently rubs your lower back as you lie back down on the bed. All you need right now is him by your side... and the delicious sweets he has brought you, of course!

❀ Now add a little harshness to it and he's done... you're definitely unique and he loves it

❀ You don't treat him like a monster, you treat him like a human being and he's smitten

❀ With your help, he sees the true colour of love (with the condition of you having met him before his fight). It's so much more beautiful seeing you glow with love instead of fear

Sasaki Kojiro

❀ He doesn't suck up to your motherly nature as much as Jack does, but he still falls for it nonetheless

❀ Sasaki's heart is difficult to capture... but you did it with no difficulty whatsoever

❀ You scold him whenever he overworks himself and ends up injured, you tend to his wounds with extreme care, you roll your eyes occasionally at his antics

❀ And he falls for that. He falls hard. After all, how can he not love you if you hold him close to your chest while lecturing him on how he needs to be more careful?

❀ He loves you with all his heart and would do anything for you without hesitation. And please... don't stop with your scolding, even though he won't learn
