The Blackwatch Commander tossed away his guns and cupped her quivering, delicate hands with his own larger ones.

“I am Angie. I’ve got you, and we’re taking you home” he murmured gently keeping her palms pressed to his cheeks to assure her he was, in fact, very real.

Gabe tilted his head into his shoulder to speak into the comm unit attached to his vest, “I’ve found Doctor Ziegler, Morrison. Get a medical team down here, stat.”

He turned his attention back to the combat medic once Jack barked a reply. He let her hands go long enough to shed his hoodie and drape it over her shoulders.

“They’re going to come get you, Angie. You’ll be taken care of, I promise. And I’m going to hunt down the people that did this to you”

Angela didn’t quite believe this was real until she felt the heavy material of Gabriel’s jumper being draped over her. Using what felt like the last of her strength, Angela launched herself forward, fingers digging into Gabriel’s shirt and skin. She was likely hurting him, but for now she didn’t much care.

He was warm and solid beneath her touch. Angela wasn’t aware she’d started crying until Gabriel’s shirt began to dampen where she’d pressed her face. She didn’t care about revenge, or anything else she was probably supposed to care about in this kind of situation. She was just so thankful that they’d found her.

Angela wasn’t often afraid. She trusted Overwatch, she trusted herself and being afraid never got anyone anywhere.But after a week of both physical and mental torture, Angela had no other emotions left. All she had was her fear.

As the door to the basement she was being held in burst open, Angela flinched back. She didn’t know what was coming, but at this point she was almost certain that it wasn’t good.

But the voice that spoke wasn’t one of her captors. It was a voice she knew, and knew well. But she still didn’t trust it. It was probably a trick, some cruel way to make her think she was being rescued.

But then she saw Gabriel’s face. No one could recreate his face like this, make it look so real. It had to be him. Angela was shaking as she reached for him.

“Gabriel? Are you really here?” She questioned, fingers brushing over his cheek anxiously. It still could be a hallucination.

“Lena, come along!” Angela called, frowning as she loaded her duffel into the plane. Their first stop was to be Angela’s cabin in the Swiss Mountains, to test the cold on both of their systems.

“I do not understand how someone who relies so much on speed can be so slow...” Angela grumbled to herself as she loaded up the last of the supplies, arms crossed as she stood at the loading door of the plane.

She did, however, hear Jesse speak. With a squeak, Angela span, turning just as he did so their backs were to each other.
