Sea Serpent Hobie who sinks any superyachts he comes across!

Sea Serpent Hobie who uses harpoon spears meant to kill him as piercings! And old anchor chains as jewelry!

Sea Serpent Hobie who attacks big commercial fishing boats that are destroying the ecosystem by overfishing

But also benign Sea Serpent Hobie, who aids those lost at sea!

Who helps smaller local fishing buisnesses with sustainable fishing

Who looks out for this small fishing community and in return they warn him whenever hunters show up in the area!

Sea Serpent Hobie who is huge but still manages to hide perfectly in the kelp forests!

Who has bioluminescence and uses it both to terrify enemies and as a way to calm down people in distress, as a way for him to signal goodwill - and to show off when he feels like it!

Who can change his pigmentation similarly to octopi to communicate his mood and feelings! Or just to blend in with his surroundings (also as a nod to the way he changes filters in the movie!)

Sea Serpent Hobie who's frequently seen swimming with whale pods- Orcas being his favourites to hang out with (they sometimes go on yacht sinking trips together)

#Doodles #Original #Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe #If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop #Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around #:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c #The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played #As well as the art design! :D #We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe #Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol #A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe #Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error #And then hightail it to where you need to be lol #I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha #I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear #We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art #I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c #Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! Do you have any idea what its like to be a sustainable agriculture girlie with a hatred of permaculture. Do you have any idea how much I suffer every day.

#Its not that I hate it its that it doesn't work....#Not in my biome. Not for the plants that grow here. Not unless you are trying to maximise the productivity of like. A small garden #I want to like it! Its a really nice idea...#And. You know. it's a broad concept. It covers a multitude. Some of the things it covers work!#But those things are also captured under the term......gardening.#So permaculture in my experience is either some shit that does not work! Or a fancy word for gardening #It also claims to be low-human-intervention and somehow more energy efficient as a food production method?#And its just not. Sorry. Planting things in rows is actually very efficient that's why people do it #So yeah uhhhh to recind my first tag. I hate it. I'm... kind of confused about this? Like Ignatz is basically saying the only way for people to move forward is by continuing to fight and destroy? That's a pretty awful message in general, but coming from Ignatz it just feels weird. It sounds like he's just accepted war and that it's just... something that happens so we should shrug it off and move on?

I know this game tends to have very strong pro-war/pro-invasion messages which is already really gross to me, but it went from being annoying and icky to just making me feel disgusted. Also, Ignatz of all people shouldn't just shrug his shoulders and be like well that's just the way of things, I guess! There's an active war going on so it makes sense that towns could be rebuilt and destroyed again. It doesn't mean just give up on it.

Also really doesn't feel like an Ignatz thing to say.

#DCB Three Hopes Run #I'll be honest I have very low opinions of people when I see them say shit like #Edelgard is in the right and it she was justified to invade territories #if there was provocation/she was attacked by another territory first I'd get it #but I can't sympathize with the concept in general of attacking another nation that has nothing to do with you #it feels absolutely disgusting and seeing people actually DEFEND that is extremely concerning about their real life values #especially when she's very open about how the purpose of it is conquest and not actually the Church #and no nobody can use the Faerghus sheltering refugees as an excuse bc she attacks them in both games #and they didn't shelter the Church at all outside CF. in Hopes it's just a reason the writers needed to be able to #make it so the game had a similar story to Houses and to give a reason so the war still happened #Faerghus was quite literally minding its own business and growing at an astoundingly fast pace #and suddenly they have to decide whose side to take in a war? they didn't want to go to war but they were forced #and Ignatz here basically shrugging his shoulders figuring it's just a way of life to be at war is... not a good message #people who initiate war do it for their own political and territorial gain and that's true of this story too #it's not a question of whether or not it was Edelgard's goal bc she just outright SAYS it is #like... she's not hiding it? she's not trying to dodge the fact? and like again you can like her character as a fictional character #but it would be like if I said I love Ashnard and bc of that I agreed with his goals ideals and values and that #he was justified in attacking Crimea and torturing laguz. he's a really cool character and I love what he brings to the story #but there's a fine line between finding a fictional character interesting/fascinating #and outright defending their actions and basically saying conquest is okay as long as you tell people it's for another reason #i.e. Edelgard gave the propaganda about ''for the people'' but that wasn't her goal. if it WAS #she'd be contacting Dimitri in those two years like hey I see you guys are making strides in your politics mind giving us some advice #if her goal was for the people she would've spent those two years for the people and fixing shit not preparing for war #it just... really leaves a sick feeling for me that people legitimately believe her violence is justified and that here Ignatz is basically #saying that war is just a thing we all should just accept. like... how is war the only way for humans to move forward???#the one good thing Twitter does is that it tries to at least give sympathies to attacked nations #if this game was real you'd be seeing ''Faerghus attacked'' ''Faerghus invaded'' ''pray for Faerghus'' all over Twitter lmao #like if this was never a fictional story and if it was just real life there would have been only support on social media

It still really gets me how sincere Andy’s grief over his potential child is. At first you think, oh this is just a weird flight of fancy for him, the idea of having a kid sounds fun but he’s not serious, but over the course of the episode you realise that, no, Andy actually wants children. It exposes something raw and depressing and lovely at Andy’s core and it just hits, how sad he is about what addiction took from him, the years and the growth and a potential life, but the hope that exists in knowing he’s getting better. Andy isn’t ready to be a father right now and it’s good for them both that Teresa chose to have an abortion, but maybe, some day when he’s ready, Andy will get to have a baby with someone who loves him.

#ANDY KING FUTURE DAD DRIVES ME CRAZY #oh you KNOW Errol would be fascinated and grossed out by the concept of pregnancy #occasionally grossed out and trying to be supportive at the same time #but also he would help organise a very cool gender neutral baby shower. it’s dinosaur themed. everyone loves dinosaurs #Tiffany would be 100% matter of fact about the whole thing. ask Andy how he even agreed to get someone to have sex with him #and Sam would be an amazing SIL during pregnancy and Bruce would also be an amazing SIL lol. love Bruce #Sam and Bruce being so loving to their SIL and coddling her and yelling at Andy when he’s even slightly annoying #Gwen would be shocked. if she’s still dating Caspar they’d freak out over whether they want kids. then decide Not To Think About That Now #Val would show up with a care package right to the hospital and croon over the new arrival #and pull Andy aside to tell him he’s gonna be a good dad. and also help postpartum or Val will kill him on behalf of his wife #Ben would be somewhat insulting. but Veronica would be a ray of unhelpful sunshine. they’re trying it’s sweet but messy #oh I love uncle so much <3 #uncle bbc #bbc uncle #andy king

read camp dama.scus. enjoyed some stuff, really wish i didn't have the experience so often reading a book that's Good and Progressive and about Queer Affirmation etc of feeling like i'm side-eying the author like 'and you know that delineating the people that oppose you as pure evil that therefore deserves torture or death or being eliminated from society entirely is bad, right? you know that, right??'

#it's kind of funny bc the main character is a jack chick tract atheist in a way bc #she rejects her religion (REALLY quickly and easily lol) and immediately starts... conceiving of HERSELF as a prophet/god #as in. starts making up 'bible' verses that are about Her and how awesome she is #and how she's going to bring down her enemies with the righteous flaming sword of vengeance and wrath and truth etc #which i would love as a character Thing if the narrative didn't just treat this as 'super metal' with absolutely no further examination #(seriously she casually drops that she's been making up bible-style verses abt herself and her ideas #in convo with her Token Good Christian friend. by CITING ONE OF THEM #LIKE IT'S A BIBLE VERSE. and then going 'o yeah i've been making those up'#and her friend's reaction is just 'haha that's sick' and moving on)#listen i'm all for god complexes and edgy bullshit but the presentation along w the general #descriptions of the Enemy as 'cartoonishly pure evil' and implicit 'haha nice!' around the idea of THEM getting tortured forever #just leaves me ://///#i might be oversensitive to this after stuff like Sorrowland and Pet but.... just. ech. i wish i didn't have to play the game of #'do you think torture is ok if it's someone you don't like?' and 'do you consider people who do bad things as human?' in the first place #also it was just a HUGELY underwritten book lol it'd make a decent movie but viewed as a book it gets funnier the longer i think about it #was marketed as conversion camp horror. 0 conversion camp content bc IT ALREADY HAPPENED #0 relationship development bc the two people the MC connects with she ALREADY HAD RELATIONSHIPS WITH. I'm working on drawing out most of my Mario Elementals designs, but my current art skills leave a lot to be desired.

So in the mean time here's some aesthetic boards I wiped together to convey the vibes I'm going for.

#Mario #Metal Mario #Gooigi #Do I tag these as Moodboards?#I don't think so they don't count as those #Probably...#Someone give me a website were I can look at images sorted by color and theme that'd be so cool thanks #Anyway #I want to include Pink Gold Peach from Mario Kart 8 #But I'd SO MUCH rather make Peach out of Rose Quartz #Because it's more fitting of her character with healing and purity themes #But gold ALSO WORKS sense it's a Soft Rare metal and Peach is very soft #I really love the concept of Rock Toads they're tougher than they look and are just all over the place #And GEODE TOADS for the actually important named Toads #I was ALSO back and forth on Copper or Bronze for Daisy #And then I realized Bronze is like 90% Copper.. So I called her Bronze but gave her more Copper themes #Sense Bronze is stronger and used in sculpting #I'm still Eh on Gooigi's board I like it mostly just kinda wish I had more general actual Goo pngs dfgfdkg #Doesn't matter they're all very neat #I hope I got my point across because who knows when I'll have the drawings done #Mario and Luigi Elementals

oh btw i get even more why brennan (like me) clocked sophomore year fabian as fucked up and sad even if some of the other pcs were like "what are you talking about dude" . it's because the basic core theses of fabian and leiland eftbk as characters are actually pretty similar

#AND matt mercer was like 'yes absolutely. my character has so many issues' meanwhile b4 lou could even say anything siobhan/adaine #went 'fabian isnt depressed his life rules.'#which like. 1) deeply incorrect statement. 2) fairly in character for adaine to say. 3) unfortunately this caused #a pretty big shift in tone w regards to how seriously fabian's arc ended up being executed #2.5) i could write a whole other post on how point 2 could be a super interesting thing to explore w adaine #she starts off so aware of there being no love from her parents towards her. so she sees love between a parent and a child #and cant conceptualize their relationship being ultimately harmful. like she learned long ago that there was no point seeking approval from #her parents meanwhile fabian made it his whole entire life's goal to do just that thing. both of them are fucked up in opposite directions.#crunchy concept yet very unexplored. and i'm not expecting this to happen in a potential s3 im just throwing ideas around like basebal #d20 #eftbk #fantasy high #sorry wrote all those tags then forgot to elaborate on how fabian and leiland are similar anyway it's this whole idea of #having this unhealthy dependency on the approval of someone you admire to the ends of the earth despite them being #fully and clearly a toxic influence on you. The whole illusion of inflated self worth howthat all crumbles when you Realize how fragile you #whole entire worldview was. and THEN you have an embarrassing breakdown in front of ur friends #and this is SO terrifying because you have really tried your best to look really cool and put-together in front of them #it's the 'getting knocked down SO hard and having to build yourself up by recognizing the love from your friends #+finding something completely different from the person you hinged your entire being on in order to find your way to the surface' of it all #also galfast/whitclaw are surprisingly similar narrative wise it's so funny to me. th storytelling series of nat 1s against an op enemy </3 #i think it WAS easier to execute leiland's character arc in the way it was bc a) he was played to be so CLEARLY insecure from minute 1 #and b) it is very easy to condemn ripoff sauron and say 'yeah this guy sucked and we're glad that leiland and maggie are free from him'#meanwhile for fabian. a) he has convinced himself that nothing is wrong with him even though there so clearly is #and b) you have to acknowledge that bill loved his son so deeply yet was such a bad influence on him #it's such a bittersweet-bitter complexity and i imagine it would be super hard to pull off esp when bill and fabian's dynamic is #played as fairly comedic most of the time. in this vein of 'this evil guy is so evil but he cares about his son this hard and it's funny'#and also just the fact this kind of bitter complicated parent-child dynamic is very rarely portrayed and pulled off well.#WHY the fuck are these tags so long if you read all this i'm so sorry

#ouuugh i just hate how elitist art school is dshjgkfndh #I'm sorry that gallery work isn't really what interests me I think there's a space for both kinds of art in this world #and one isn't inherently better than the other #PLUS I think it's interesting to push more industry like work into gallery spaces! I think mixing the two could be REALLY cool #So that's what i try to do with my school work qwq cause I LOVE industry work!#BUT I also understand I'm in a fine arts program! And Fine Arts has it's own merits! And I really like mixing the two concepts!#And sometimes that lands me in hot water with my professors!#dshgjdfkngkdh like i literally do not know what else to tell you besides this is just how i draw dshjgkfndh this is what interests me #my school pushes us to persue things that interest us but the second it's something out of the norm it's a problem #my professor was very adamant that we do the things we WANT to do in her class and be open about our influences.#And the second I bring up I'm influenced by video games and character/story driven work it becomes an interrogation sdhjgkdnfh #okay rants over for real does anyone want to send em asks about sans undertale sdhgjkndfh
