since i'm in my charlos divorce era, this could be as angsty and sad as you want it to be, but here's the prompt: "What's your problem?" - Charlos (and that's Carlos saying it). Based around the whole drama during this Shanghai GP weekend, maybe? You're free to do it however you like, though! If you want them to make up by the end of it of course I'll love that, as well.

“What’s your problem?” Carlos asks when he sees Charles going to his driver’s room after the interviews. He can’t let this day be over without actually talking to Charles.

“What’s my problem?” Charles asks back, surprised, “You’re my problem,” he says without hesitation, grabbing Carlos and pushing him into his driver’s room. “You are my fucking problem!” he spits, pushing Carlos to the wall, not caring about the fact that it’s paper thin and people can hear his raised voice on the other side of it. He’s too frustrated to care.

“Yeah?” Carlos asks, teasing, “Tell me, what’s wrong with me?”

“You’re the one asking? When you race like an idiot, almost pushing your own teammate off the track because you’re so fucking desperate for a good result that you don’t even think about me and the team. Selfish piece of sh-” he wants to say but he can’t because he finds himself pinned to the wall, Carlos’ lips on his, kissing him intensely while keeping one hand on his neck and the other on his hands pinned to the wall above his head. He lets out a moan, his legs almost shaking as his anger flies away and eagerness takes its place. “Cahlos…” he moans, eyes closed, “Please… I need you,” he pleads but Carlos pulls away.

6. What do you need to write? Is there anything special you need to do/have to help your creative flow? I need to be alone, usually in my room! I put on mood music which is anything from the songs I’ve been recently repeating or the fic inspired playlist! (Which can be found here!) for this specific fic, it’s a vintage/classic christmassy vibe that really helped me get into the mode. I usually just word vomit my thoughts, and then edit later.

7. What inspired the idea for the plot? I’m suuuuuch a huge fan of rom-coms, and I adore Christmastime, so a Christmas rom-com is always enjoyable. Also, this post about the idea of charlos going on holiday together, these pictures of the cuties in winter clothes, and the fact that Carlos was in Monaco (!!) at the same time as Charles (!!!) it’s been sooo fun to write these two, they’re so dumb and in love.

Hey! I saw your ask about the fandom implicit rules and I just wanted to ask: Can you explain what's archive locking? Because I'm a fandom dinosaur, and I think that I've never heard the term before. What does it do/what does it entail if you archive lock your fics on ao3? And how do you do it? Should I do it to my stuff too? I'm just lost, I've been using Tumblr for forever but it has been a while since I was actively engaged in fandom (around seven years or so) so that's why I'm a little lost to several things. What does it have to do with AI, by the way? Because that's another thing that interests me, how to protect my work from AI. Thank you so much for your time!

so on ao3, archive locking is where you can alter the settings of the fic that you're posting, so that only people who have an ao3 account can read your fic. it just adds an extra layer of protection against your fic being shared with the wrong people or just anything un-towards happening or it being uploaded to an AI generator etc etc. it doesn't guarantee safety or anything like that but i find it a worthwhile thing to do! x

WIPs GAMES: What are on my words?

shout out to @vicsbasement who tagged and recognize my works! Yes, I used to be a writer back in 2019-2020 and wrote mostly about brocedes and anime, but since lewis lost the championship, I lost the entire mood to write about rpf driver and then boom! charlos happened, i was like -- okay let's do this again. English is not my first language and I'm still learning about expressing emotion, writing about "show but don't tell", and obviously with grammar.

Here's some work in progress. (my inspiration came from song lyrics. That's why I like to create a driver's playlist. I also reflect on the real-life events that happen to me or the people surroundings me) . Feel free to ask me more about the details;

Charlos 1655

a series, and they said the relationship is easy:

1st -> Enchanted by the Prancing Horse / EBPH for short. (E) (kind of like a 5+1 thingy about ... (secret hehe) I am currently working on the fifth part, and it's already 13k words :D

2nd -> Alphabet of Hearts (M) (TW!!!!! like real TW!) (one of my proudest stories I've written so far? chaptered about 8. I am currently working on chapter 5 (what's all about the five XD)

these series are written mostly in Carlos's POV. big big big thanks to @f1amboyant because they are encouraging me to try writing in new POV i never tried before. I love this series I've been working on for a year, so I hope I can convey the message to the reader and have much recognition <3

(since i'm more comfortable writing in Charles POV, because I feel like Charles and I share many similarities in terms of family and struggle, that's why my Charles characterization sometimes resembles mine. It also makes Ocean and Engines fic a big hit in my "start again writing career", because it was actually from a real event.)

one-shot: take a chance with me. (Planning on to be a continuation from ocean and engines. this ' series ' uses NIKI albums as it is representing my real-life experience, but I couldn't state it explicitly :D)

there are 2 unpublish explicit wips of brocedes and I CAN'T PUBLISH IT BECAUSE I'M SO BAD AT WRITING SMUT? It's soo flithy, the filthiest I ever write and READ. So yeah bye those fics going to stay inside the bins forever.

++ I am still determining how long this fic going to be finished, but I'm planning to release EBPH at Christmas, because.. well maybe I'm just eager to share with you all.

Are you named after anyone? Nope! My parents actually changed my first name at the last minute after encountering a child with the name they had planned on using for me two weeks before I was born. Apparently that kid was a menace, so they quickly scrambled to find another name.

When was the last you cried? Probably a few days ago. I cry a lot for strangers online.

Do you have kids? No and I won't!

What sports do you play/have you played? I've done gymnastics, track, badminton, figure skating (I wanted to do ice hockey like my brother but my dad was a coward). Anyway in the end I figured out I'm not made for team sports

Do you use sarcasm? I would never

What is the first thing you notice about people? If they try to keep a conversation going by opening it up to other people (with questions etc)

What is your eye color? Brown!

Scary movies or happy endings? Both! I used to be more brave with scary movies, now I only really watch them with friends

Any talents? Nothing of note!

Where were you born? In a clinic!

What are your hobbies? I like reading although I'm kind of in a slump right now. I also love journaling and I just got gifted a fountain pen that I've been wanting for a minute, and I received some of my dream inks last Christmas so I want to be more regular with journaling again!

Otherwise I play video games quite a lot, mostly roguelikes.

Do you have any pets? I do! He's an orange cat and I'm teaching him to meow in English so he'll be ready for the move to the US 🐱

How tall are you? I thought I was 1.53m until my medical visit for my VISA and they said 1.51m 🧍

Prompt: A little thing in which Charles is noticing that Carlos is a bit down (maybe because he was sick today/yesterday and didn't seem like himself) so he did everything in his power to either make him smile or laugh? Or maybe just took care of him after FP2? Showing up at his hotel room to get him to eat something nutritious like a chicken soup he got *especially* for him, with blankets and the idea to spend the night alongside him in case he gets another fever and doesn't wake up feeling shitty *and* alone? 💕 That would be incredibly soft and cute 🥺

Hi dear, I'm really sorry for the incredibly long wait. For some reason I wanted to include the appendicitis in the story but it didn't work so I rewrote it, following the second idea you sent to me. I hope you like it. Also, thank you for sending me these prompts. 😊❤

It was already dark outside when Charles arrived back at the hotel after the second free practice with a bag of delicious takeover food in his hand. He wanted to check on Carlos and bring him some food because he couldn’t really eat anything in the last 24 hours. 

Charles hoped Carlos would feel better now because he didn’t look well at the track, his skin was all red and his mood wasn’t good either. All Charles wanted to do was tuck him in the bed, cover him with the softest blanket, and let him sleep, hoping it would make his fever and stomach bug go away. Fortunately, Carlos had left earlier to go back to the hotel and rest so Charles didn’t have to worry about him that much. He knew Pierluigi was there with him and he was safe.

But he still wanted to check on him to make sure he was okay. After putting down his stuff in his room and picking up his blanket, he went to Carlos’ room.

After knocking, he went in and put the bag with the soup on the little table next to the wall and walked closer to Carlos who was lying in the bed completely still. Maybe he’s sleeping, Charles thought as he put his blanket on the other side of the bed in case Carlos was cold and needed another one.

Charles turned on the lamp on the bedside table and crouched down next to the bed, slowly pulling the blanket off Carlos’ face. “Carlos,” he whispered, hoping he wouldn’t scare him.

“Mhm?” Carlos mumbled, slowly opening his eyes, trying to get used to the light.

“How are you feeling?” Charles asked, gently putting his hand on Charlos’ forehead to check his temperature. His skin wasn’t as warm as it was back at the track, which Charles noted as a sign of him getting better. “I’ve brought you some chicken soup. Sadly it’s not from Maman but they say it’s still good. You should try and eat some.”

Carlos sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. “I’m too tired.”

“I can feed you with the spoon,” Charles offered without hesitation, “you just have to sit up. I’m sure you’re hungry. You haven’t eaten anything today, mon amour,” Charles ran his fingers through Carlos’ hair to brush it off his forehead, “You have to eat to have energy. Your body needs nutrition.”

“If I eat, will you stay for the night?” Carlos asked, looking at Charles with his big brown eyes nobody could say no to. “I know we said no sleeping together on race weekends but-”

“I will,” Charles answered immediately, not letting Carlos finish the sentence. “You were sick today and you’re still not completely fine. I’d never leave you alone for the night when you’re not okay. No matter what we agreed on earlier. I’ll stay here, I promise.”

A soft smile appeared on Carlos’ face as he reached out to cup Charles’ face. “Te amo mucho. Bring the soup, cariño.”

Charles kissed Carlos’ palm and then got up to switch from the bedside lamp to the big light on the ceiling and get the soup. In the meantime Carlos sat up, leaning against the headboard, closing his eyes for a moment because he felt a bit dizzy. Charles set up the bed tray table and placed the bowl of soup on it. 

“Are you okay?” Charles asked, his hand resting on Carlos’ hand, observing his boyfriend’s change of facial expressions closely. 

“Yeah, just a bit dizzy. But I think it’s because I haven’t eaten anything.”

“Okay,” Charles nodded, trying not to overthink, “Would you like me to help?” he asked while putting the spoon into the soup to stir it. Carlos hesitated. Charles could see him debating whether to accept the help or try and eat it alone like a grown-up man.

“I think-”

“It’s okay to accept help, mon amour. It’s just you and I here.”

Carlos nodded, “Then… I’d like you to help. I feel too tired to lift my hand.”

“Okay,” Charles smiled and lifted the bowl off the tray to bring it closer to Carlos’ mouth and feed him more easily without having to worry about spilling the soup on the bed. “Here comes the first airplane,” Charles joked playfully, making Carlos smile before he opened his mouth. “What do you think, is it delicious?”

“Tastes good,” Carlos said, waiting for the second spoonful of soup. “I like it.”

“I’m glad. Here’s some more…”

After eating the soup, showering, and washing their teeth, it was now time to go to bed. While Carlos was still in the bathroom, Charles made sure the bed would be comfortable for him, arranging the pillows and the covers in the perfect position. Right when he finished it, Carlos appeared in the room with a soft smile on his face.

“It won’t look this good once we’re in it,” he said, taking a few slow steps towards Charles to give him a ‘thank you’ kiss. 

“I wanted to make sure it’s comfortable for you.”

“It is if you’re here.”

“Come here,” Charles sat on the edge of the bed, asking Carlos to sit on his lap, and once he did it, he hugged him and kissed his neck, feeling Carlos’ elevated pulse thumping on his lips. “You’re still a bit warm,” he murmured, resting his head on Carlos’ shoulder for a moment, breathing in his calming scent. 

Carlos leaned on Charles’ shoulder, letting out a shaky breath. He was tired from having to stand in the shower. “I still don’t feel completely well but I’m getting there. I’ll be okay for tomorrow.”

“I think we should lie down and sleep,” Charles said, receiving a tired “yeah” from Carlos as a response.

A few moments later they were lying in the bed, almost complete darkness surrounding them while they were trying to find the most comfortable position. In the end, they settled with spooning, Carlos being the little spoon and Charles being the big one with his chest pressed to Carlos’ back, one of his hands draped over him, Carlos holding it to his chest. He felt safe in Charles’ arms, the slow and steady breathing of his boyfriend on his back helped him to drift off and sleep through the night without any problems.

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction? 

When I joined the One Direction fandom, having blogs on blogger.com and posting stories there was really popular and I loved the beautiful headers and blog designs people made and I wanted to try and make some, too. But I needed something for my blog so it wouldn't be empty and would look better. So I started writing. 😃

(I started with ��incorrect quote’ type of stories, so basically only dialogue, not much description. It'll soon be the 10 years anniversary of the beginning of my writing journey. 8 years in Hungarian, the rest of it is in English.)

🔪 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Probably cardiology, cardiac surgery, trauma surgery, foot fetish and lingerie fetish. These were all for my one and only original story, the last thing I wrote in Hungarian. In that story one of the main characters was a heart surgeon (with a heartbeat kink 😶) and a trauma surgeon with foot and lingerie fetish, so, uhm... Yeah. There was a lot in it. (Mpreg and stuff like that, too.) 😃

I loved writing that story but it was too complex for me and writing it started feeling like a job after a while (when I was around 40K words/8 chapters into it) so I stopped. But that was the story I put the most research into. Since then I don't really do that much research.

I don't know if you know but when it comes to writing/reading, I usually talk a lot so prepare for a long post with detailed answers because I can't answer with only one or two sentences. 😃

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

I can’t choose one so I’m gonna go with my top 5+1.

1. Battle Scar

I love this story bcause “nurse” George is really important to me and I love how he takes care of Alex but in the end he’s the one that ends up in Alex’s arms, needing comfort more than Alex. It’s a story I quickly wrote after seeing the interview where George shows Alex’s back injury, and for a while this story was quite neutral to me but then it became my favorite because it has almost everything I need when it comes to hurt/comfort. Also, before this, I really wanted to write a Galex story but didn’t really know how. And then came that interview, this story was born and now when people ask my favorite stories, I always mention this. It's a special one. ❤

2. Dream turned into a nightmare

I love the soft moment at the beginning, Charlos cuddling after their first time together, everything is beautiful and calm because they think they have all the time in the world because Carlos’s parents are away. Until they aren’t anymore. Climbing out on the window, panic attack, coming out, bad reaction from one of the parents, so much delicious angst. And happy ending, of course, because I don’t do sad endings. ❤

3. Safe place

Short and sweet Carlando ft. Daniel’s farm and Daniel playing songs on his guitar while Max looks at him with heart eyes. Also, campfire and marshmallows. I love how Carlos and Lando’s relationship is born in it.

4. Blood, sweat and tears

I really like this story because this was the first one where I felt I did a good job with describing frustration and anger with Charles’ relationship to Ferrari.

5. Maybe I deserve all of this

My other Galex where George cries in the hotel room after crashing out on the last lap in Singapore and Alex goes and comforts him. This story has my favorite quote. It wasn’t a question but I love talking about my stories so I’m gonna put it here: “‘You know, when people see someone crying, they usually say something like ‘please don’t cry, it’s going to be alright’ because they… They don’t really know what to do when someone cries. Nobody really teaches you what to do. (...)’”

+1 Mr. Relationship Expert

I like this one because it wasn't easy to write it, I struggled a lot at the beginning but after letting it sit a bit, I was able to write a 2k+ words story with some really nice details so it became one of my favorites. I love how Charles is there for Carlos to help him, I love the banter between Lando and Carlos, and of course I love the moments towards the end too. And it's nice to see that people like it too. 😊

B: What was the first fandom you read fic in? Which was the first you wrote fic for?

I think it was One Direction. And I started my writing career with One Direction fanfics 10 years ago. 😃

J: What’s your favorite fanfic trope? Have you written it?

Hurt/comfort, Royalty AU (especially medieval), Doctor/Medic/Nurse AU and ‘5+1 things’ are my favorite tropes. (If these are tropes because honestly I’m not sure. I tried to Google it but some websites say these are fanfic genres while others say they’re tropes.)

I’ve written quite a lot of hurt/comfort and a modern Royalty AU too, but not a ‘5+1 things’ story or a Doctor/Medic/Nurse AU so far. But I might do it in the future if I get a good idea/prompt.

K: Do you have a guilty pleasures in fic (reading or writing)?

I always joke that Brocedes is my guilty pleasure pairing because I love reading stories where they can communicate and have a healthy/close to healthy relationship (and I love the good hurt/comfort stories too) but because I joined the fandom in 2022, I wasn’t here when Brocedes was a thing/when the drama happened so I feel like I have no right to enjoy reading stories about them because I once saw a post saying that no sane person enjoys reading about Brocedes after everything that happened, and this makes me feel bad for enjoying some of the stories about them.

When it comes to writing, my guilty pleasures are panic attacks, hugs, hurt/comfort and heartbeats but I still haven’t really written that much about the latter because I couldn’t write the story I wanted as a second part to Good Effects so now I’m trying to find another way to bring my soft cardiophilia Charlos ideas into reality because I don’t want to let that one idea go for which I’ve made a fanart to and I really, really want to show it to people. They might not appreciate it that much because it’s quite specific/not a popular topic in this fandom but it made me incredibly happy that I could draw it. (And these are also my guilty pleasure topics when it comes to reading, there’s not that much difference in what I like reading and writing.)

U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet.

I’d love to write at least one HoneyChili (Daniel/Carlos) story one day. I have an idea but I still haven’t started writing it because I always want to write something else or I don’t have time to write so yeah, maybe in the future. (I’d also like to try Gax (Max/George) one day but I don’t even have any ideas so that’s a bit more difficult. Plus I don’t really know that much about their dynamics.)
