Digital Love (PETER PARKER)
Summary: Bruce Banner’s little sister wasn’t always the extrovert. So Tony assigned her to act as Peter Parker’s AI, but what he didn’t account for was the two falling in love. Vienna Banner was always an insecure, nerdy little girl. She wore cute tees paired with a plaid shirt on top, jeans with headphones clamped every now and then around her ears, her round glasses tucked in the collar of her plaid shirt when she did so because she couldn’t fit them on without her ears hurting. She was Bruce Banner’s younger sister, and an almost exact copy with her dark brown hair and soft blue-green eyes (though her brother’s were brown); a genius in science, maths, english, you name it. Tony had sought her out after Bruce happily talked about his family, eventually finding her in the Galapagos Islands, collecting chemicals from flowers. The strangest thing was… that she was the person who manned Karen, Peter Parker’s ‘suit lady’. Tony Stark decided that the mechanism in Peter’s suit wasn’t an AI, but a very compassionate girl. Right now she was sat in her room, in front of a mic while watching Peter’s impressions of Thor in the mirror. “Your impressions are very funny.” She almost giggled, the voice coming out robotically on the other end, continuing to do what Peter asked. When Peter’s suit shut down she set her work down, hearing a knock on the door. “Kiddo?” Tony’s brash voice was muffled on the other side of the wood plank people call a door. “Come in, sir.” She called, twisting around in her chair to see her co-mentor (Bruce was off-world) strut in with a tray consisting of a plate of tomato spaghetti, a Real Shirley Temple mocktail and a bowl of chocolate sauce-covered vanilla ice cream which was put on a plate that constantly shot cold air at it. “Just in case the Spiderling decided to turn his suit on again. You’re working extra late hours and I really don’t want Green Killing Machine blowing up my penthouse because you didn’t eat at all.” But Vienna knew that the words were Tony Stark for ‘I care about you despite you not being my child and I don’t want you to starve.’. When he’d left, Vienna was pondering on something. She’d been Peter’s AI for about a month now. In between a mouthful of spaghetti, her feelings for the web-slinger built up in her chest, warming her veins and heart, tingles shooting through her fingers. Vienna constantly wondered what it would be like to go out there and do things like her dad, her crush and Iron Man. True, she wasn’t the type to actually full-on fight but Natasha had been training her and said she was an Avengers-level fighter. After the explosion which granted Bruce his condition that forced him to rampage, the gamma radiation affected Vienna too. When she used her powers of wispy, glowing energy, her eyes turned amber, the same colour as her energy. Ever since then, she wanted to go out there, mess around, fight bad guys and meet the one person she longed to meet since a month.
Peter Parker.
She’d seen him in the mirror and talked to him enough to gain a crush on him, just seeing his face crinkle into a grin whenever she said something particularly witty, and his body relaxing after a tense night of fighting with only her words for comfort, but she wanted him to know her as Vienna. Not Karen, not suit lady, just normal Vienna. But it’s hard to love someone you haven’t met face to face. Peter was lying in bed thinking about one thing. Karen. Something very strange had happened to him recently. He wanted to talk to the AI he once called ‘suit lady’ more and more. Ever time he put down the mask he wanted to put it on again and chat with her all night long. She just gets him. A blush crept onto his cheeks as a lovesick smile took over his Cupid’s bow lips, his Hershey’s eyes dreamy and clouded over. “Uh oh, I know that look. Is it a girl?” May was standing at the door, looking like she just got a puppy. “Yeah,” He blushed even deeper when she squealed happily, “B-But here’s the problem. I haven’t even met her. She literally talks to me and tells me what to do; I don’t even know what she looks like! But she’s sweet and funny, and knows how to make me laugh and cheers me up when I need it-” “Have you been using Childline?” May interrupted, raising her eyebrows. “N-No! You’re my Childline, May, I-I don’t know how to describe it. She’s just… special.” “I felt that way when I met your uncle. Now, off to bed. I don’t know how you stay up, I was just about to drift off…” After the door shut, Peter sighed. It’s impossible to love your AI, even if they get you in a way no one else will. Vienna, in the meanwhile, was doing a Harry Potter movie marathon in her bedroom before Tony came in. “D’you need me, sir?” She smiled, jumping off the bed. “If I did, Friday would be calling you right now. I came to check on your crush on the Spiderling.” Her breath hitched in her throat; Vienna didn’t know that Tony knew. “It’s a little bit obvious. By the way, keep your cool because Pete’s going to be coming to the compound in a second.” Her hands gripped the edge of her bowl of Smarties, almost so hard her knuckles went white. Sweat dripped off her forehead, her glasses sliding to her nose. “Oh god. Um… are you sure you still want me to work on Spider-Man’s suit functions in the lab? I’m just about to finish the settings for Instant Kill…” she trailed off when Tony looked at her as if to say ‘don’t you dare change the topic’. The computer bleeped, going online, saving Vienna from the dreaded mentor talk that she would’ve received from her brother if he was there. “You take that, Pepper and Steve’ll be there for you since I’m going to… drop off.” Leaving, Vienna readied her mic. “Hey Karen.” Came the shy voice of Peter, seeing the top mattress of his bunk bed. “Hello Peter. How was your day?” She replied, adjusting her glasses nervously, her cheeks flushed with admiration for the boy. “It was good. I got to know MJ more, did a Star Wars marathon with Ned, all the usual.” “That sounds lovely. You seem 95% more nervous than usual. Is there anything you want to talk about?” Vienna asked, watching his vital readings. “Can I ask you for advice?” He blurted suddenly, seeing his visual shift upright. “You can ask me anything.” “Can you like someone you’ve never met before?” He asked, his heart rate seeming like it was pounding through the vital scanner. “Of course you can. Long-distance love is a very common occurrence.” “Whew! I thought it was crazy.” “You’ll never be crazy to me, Peter.” “Thanks, Karen. I know I can rely on you.” As he signed off, so did she, feeling 90% warmer than before. She picked a picture of Peter up on the bedside table (she assumed Tony left it there because it wasn’t there before) and hugged it tightly. “I love you, Peter Parker.”
Later, Vienna was jamming to music while typing code into Peter’s Instant Kill mechanisms. “Uh… hello?” Vienna jumped, pulling her headphones off her ears to find a soft brown-haired boy with equally soft chocolate eyes, rocking back and forth on his feet, Cupid bow’s mouth slightly open. “Oh God! I didn’t mean to s-scare you a-are you ok?!”
Damn no. It’s Peter Parker.
”H-How can I h-help you?” She asked, getting up, turning off her music and hurriedly putting her black glasses on. Upon seeing her put them on, tingles appeared at Peter’s cheeks, his heart heating up like a radiator. “Mr Stark sent me here. Apparently you had some improvements for my Spider-Man suit?” Peter looked so lost and confused it melted her, so she nodded. “That is correct. I’m Vienna, if you’d follow me to my lab, it isn’t here, this is just the general tinkering room.” She felt so nervous in front of her long-time crush, it was overwhelming. “So… I’m Peter.” Peter coughed awkwardly, both blushing in the presence of the other. “Yeah, Mr Stark told me about you and how I needed to make some corrections to your suit. Ah! We’re here.” Pushing open a lab door, they both went in, sitting down at a table while Peter’s duffel bag hung around at his side. Vienna brought up a hologram of Peter’s suit, showing him what was there. After that was done, Peter bit his lip before calling out, “Can you help me with something?” Vienna turned around, mildly smiling. “I can help you with anything, Peter.” The sentence rang familiarly in Peter’s head, but he couldn’t quite place where he heard it from. Instead, he brought the suit out and she turned around while he put it on. When she did, he turned around. “Can you show me how to activate all this stuff?” Peter asked shyly, lifting his arms up by his side a little. “‘K. Just-“ He started to put the mask on, alarm bells ringing inside her head. In every room there was a copy of the laptop and mic so Vienna could access Peter’s database wherever. And being that her laptop was in that very room, it dinged, a picture of Peter’s visuals and vitals appearing on the screen. “What’s that?” He questioned, pointing to the screen. “It’s n-nothing.” He advanced, the eye part of his mask widening when he saw that on the computer was what he saw, which was the screen itself. “Karen?” No answer. “Yes Peter?” Then the comforting voice came, but as he looked up, Vienna was saying those words into a microphone, his whole reality crashing down. “My suit isn’t an AI, is it?” He asked, feeling overjoyed, running his hand through his brown locks. He‘d been harbouring a crush on his suit lady for so long and now he realised she was real. And Karen, aka Vienna, was perfect, so damn perfect. “I know this isn’t what you were expecting-” “No. It isn’t, really.” He approached her, running his eyes down her features, the way she clasped her plaid shirt sleeve nervously, and the soft crinkle of her eyebrows that waited for his outburst, and her full yet slightly heart shaped lips slightly parted in anticipation of his yelling. If Peter had imagined his AI to look like anything, it would be Vienna. “It’s cause… I thought Karen was an AI.” He murmured, running a finger along her jaw, infatuated, “But you… are perfect.” Vienna felt a pair of smooth, soft lips against hers, hands cupping her face and threading his fingers in her dark chocolate locks, the train of realisation telling her it was Peter. She didn’t really know how to kiss, but she tried to play along, sliding her hand to his neck, smiling as she moved her lips along tentatively, before joining with full intent. ‘Tony, you idiot.’ Vienna thought as Peter’s hands left her cheeks, passing her plaid shirt and holding onto her waist. As far as first kisses went, Vienna thought it couldn’t be better than what it was now. She felt Peter’s lips leave her, glossed-over, lovesick eyes never leaving hers, and she was pretty sure hers had hearts in them. “What did you do to me, Vienna?” He murmured, joining them back together, just feeling like it was them and the love they had for each other- “WHAT THE HELL?!” They jumped apart and saw Vienna’s brother, Bruce Banner, standing at the door while squeezing a stress buster. “Vienna- what are you- I’ve been away for a month and this happens!” He quietly said, dangerously though, arms crossed. “Yeah, and?” Vienna had never stood up or answered back to her brother, but this
was her life. She calls the shots. “And… from now on you two aren’t able to even see each other.” He spat harshly. Bruce didn’t want his beloved little sister’s heart to get broken, so this is what he had to do. But Tony’s harsh drawing in of breath and Vienna’s broken expression told him otherwise, watching as she ran away, Peter after her. “I kept your sister happy this whole month you were off-world and this is what happens.” He muttered, pinching his eyebrows as he walked away, muttering under his breath.

Digital Love Pt.2 (PETER PARKER)
Summary: Both Vienna and Peter are broken, but what happens when Vienna’s needed in the field after Thanos’s henchmen attack Earth?
Vienna was pacing round her room, watching the news desperately in search for her brother and Peter. They weren’t allowed to talk to each other so it comforted her to just watch from afar and make sure he’s okay. That’s when the text came. ‘You’re up, glowstick.’ Vienna rushed round the room, opening a compartment in her cupboard, pulling out something and putting it on, removing her glasses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tony was trapped beneath a strong monster, wheezing and struggling to get out. That’s when thin tendrils of amber energy circled it, then it was launched back and into a building, Vienna standing there in her crafted suit; an amber plated armour that she and Tony collaborated on. “Are you good, Mr Stark?” She questioned, running forward. “Yeah, I’m good. Peter’s following the wizard, I have been stuck beneath this guy, everything’s good.” “VIENNA! TONY, WHAT THE HECK?!” Bruce came running, angry but not transforming. “We need her, Bruce, she’s the only one we can get stat.” ‘UH, MR STARK?! I’M HAVING TROUBLE HERE!’ Peter’s voice rang through both comms, and both adults didn’t even blink before Vienna was gone, running to aid Peter. Bruce sprinted after her, shouting about his rule of them not talking. “Pete!” Vienna yelled, running forward and jumping, extending her legs only to be thrown aside by Ebony Maw. Bruce arrived just to see her leap for Peter, face riddled with passion, but was thrown away effortlessly. Then she got up and tried again, her amber energy wrapping round Maw’s fingers, preventing them from moving. She was scrunching her face up in concentration and anger, pulling with all her might, away from the one she loved. It occurred to Bruce just then that he might’ve made a mistake. A big one. Vienna and Peter were meant to be, and how they fought for each other just then showed him exactly why they were meant to be. They were prepared to risk their life for the other, and he would be a terrible brother if he didn’t let them have what they wanted. He took a leap to be with Nat, so it wouldn’t be so bad to see these two live their lives. As Vienna’s eyes came in contact with his, he gave a slight nod, an ecstatic smile spreading across her lips and she gave one last strong tug, sending Maw tumbling sideways. Peter climbed down from his cornered position, taking off his mask as they joined their lips, fireworks practically exploding between them as they held onto one another like they couldn’t let go. “Vienna.” He repeated her name over and over before a beam took them both up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was the final battle, and all Vienna wanted to do was find Peter. She didn’t blip, being part of the escapade back in time, and using her fingers to snap the gauntlet. Now she was in the middle of a battle, amber colour flying everywhere as she searched in the chaos for her boyfriend. She found him, cowering beneath a rock in all the madness, so she rushed over to comfort him, tell him it’s ok. Sliding beside him, she wrapped her arms round him, cradling him to her chest and whispering comforting words in his ear, leaning his clammy forehead on hers. “Hey, you’re alright. You’re with me, everything’s going to be ok.” Then she winced as a sudden pain ripped through her stomach, Peter screaming as he looked down at her stomach and so did she, a blade stuck right through, dripping with blood, the red liquid pouring in torrents onto his hand. It retracted, revealing one of Thanos’s minions, who departed as Vienna touched her lips in shock, finding blood at the brim. Collapsing sideways, a scream of her name pierced the air as Tony, Pepper and Bruce looked over, flying to the scene. “No, not now, Vienna, please.” Bruce pleaded as his large green hand held Vienna’s tiny one in his hand as Tony’s and Pepper’s helmets lifted, both of them upset and in shock. Tears were running down Pepper and Bruce’s cheeks, staining the ground which was mingling with the blood red colour, Tony biting back tears he didn’t let fall. “Glowstick, oh my god…” Peter was bending his head over hers, his tears falling on her cheeks, the light dimming in her eyes. “Guys…” She hoarsely wheezed, coughing a little. “This is… the end of the line… for me.” She croaked, holding her wound like it was a piece of porcelain. “No, you’ll be ok-” Bruce was silenced by Vienna shaking her head weakly, a small, tear-stained smile gracing her lips. “I’m sorry…” Her head fell sideways, eyes still open and empty, her
last tear rolling slowly down her cheek. Peter looked at his shaking hands, covered in her blood from the tip of his nail to the bottom of his wrist. Her blood was literally on his hands, her death was his fault. “I-I… this is my fault.” He sobbed, falling into Pepper’s arms as Tony was attracted to Thanos, having to go and fight. “None of this is your fault, Peter.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A year later, Peter visited the graveyard where Vienna had been buried. But the tombstone had disappeared. “What the-” He dwelled on it the entire school trip, until he went in the bunker with Nick Fury, finding a team there. Dimitri, Beck, Hill and… Oh my god. “Hey, Pete.” Vienna softly said, waving. Her glasses had gone somehow, and she looked a little older, but the life was in her eyes and the colour in her cheeks, her mouth stretched in an apologetic smile. He had a flashback to the day he was left, shaking, looking at her blood dripping from his fingers and how he believed it was all his fault she died. But she’s… alive. The room dissipated at the sight of the two, seeing they needed privacy. How? “After the battle, T‘Challa found me and brought me to Wakanda since only an inch of me was left alive. I was nursed back to health and sent here to help with the upcoming threat-” His lips claimed hers again, the long-awaited kiss bringing back all the emotions he’d felt for her. “I’ve found you again.” He grinned, leaning his forehead on hers in ecstasy, holding her like he’d never let her go. Not anymore.
Avengers: Gen Zero
1: Things Are About To Change
When the Dweller-In-Darkness was defeated by Shang-Chi, everyone thought that the dangers were over. But it was far from such. When Thanos was defeated, the world thought it could go back to normal. They were wrong. Because a new and even more dangerous possible threat was on the horizon. There had been tales of the Fallen Angels, extraterrestrial beings that were expelled from the heights of Caelus for their sins. Nick Fury was busy, but he sent a note to the New York Sanctum in Bleeker Street to get it done, and providing the Ancient One had written notes, Strange, Wong and Elysia got to it. “Have you finished drafting the manuscripts on the Fallen Angels?” Dr Stephen Strange came jogging down the steps with a macchiato in one hand and a frappucino in the other. Elysia Whitlock was working hard on a written report, her golden hair falling over her face as she wrote furiously, her green eyes scrunched up in concentration. Elysia was a Master of the Mystic Arts, born from the power of the Time Stone. The Stone was too powerful, so Wong and Strange formed another branch of the Stone to balance it out, therefore creating Elysia Whitlock, co-Sorcerer Supreme (in her case Sorceress). Being a branch off the Time Stone, she already had magic qualities, so it didn’t take Wong to get her to his level. Now she was like a daughter to Strange, well, a sort of part assistant part daughter-figure. “Almost… done.” She replied, writing the last few words before slamming the fifty books in front of her shut using her magic. Swinging her legs over her stool, she gladly took the frappucino, sipping it and preparing to rest the remainder of the day. Peter Parker was going home with Ned, smiling happily and taking in the calm atmosphere. Everything felt normal, or mildly normal. His suit‘s activator was in his bag, Ned was thankfully alive, so was May, everything was fine. In the meantime, Pepper Potts had retired. The company had been given over to her cousin, another unbelievable genius called Cassie Valentina, who was in fact a teenager at the age of 17 who’d suffered from the attack on Thanos, but the radiation had given her powers. “FRIDAY, can you run trial 216 on the functions of Iron Woman Mark 86, I want everything to be spick and span by the time I test it in the field.” Just as she said that a call arrived from Nick Fury, which she ungraciously accepted as his hologram form paced back and forth. “Valentina, I need you to pull up your satellite views now. It is urgent.” He snapped, hands behind his back. Cassie typed a few things on her tablet before swiping up, a hologram visual of her satellites appearing. “Do you see anything that shouldn’t be there?” “Fury, I’m not in the mood for a pop quiz-” She sighed- “Just look.” Fury frowned, so begrudgingly, she looked, eyes widening as she spotted a large, unshapely circle that seemed to be getting closer. “FRIDAY, enhance.” When FRIDAY broke down the elements of the big blob, she got a 3D model of a black-winged angel, dark shadows underneath their ebony-irised eyes and claws in place of their fingernails. “That is a Fallen Angel. A myth, but seems like it isn’t. They come from the depths of Caelus, a mythical world in heaven that they were banished from due to committing the worst sin in their world: wrath. Now they have destroyed every planet in their way and now they’re coming for us. We need to reinstate the Avengers Initiative, but half of our old team is off world and some are dead. We need a new team, so we have come up with a list of names that would be perfect for this mission. Read it and find them. Hill provided resources for you to find them.” Signing off, Cassie pulled up the list of names. CASSIE VALENTINA / IRON WOMAN
PETER PARKER / SPIDER-MAN
YELENA BOLEVA
NAVENA FEROHE
VIENNA BANNER / AURA
PIPER PARKER / SPIDER-WOMAN
ELYSIA WHITLOCK / SORCERESS SUPREME
ZOEY EVERGREEN
