Midnight Canidae ★ Leader

Klutzy yet confident! Energetic in everything they do, and determined to work hard. They want to get strong to stop "the bad pokemon". They aren't very trusting due to encounters with Team Skull and Drowzee. (Some may even call them a bit paranoid :3) They love bothering Chatot with questions, and loves chatting with the guild members.

Simon °𖦹｡ Impulse Control

Extremely shy, but ecstatic that he's finally joined Wigglytuff's Guild! Midnight's reckless nature makes him have to rush into situations (and make new friends).

Ever since his papa left he wanted to follow in his footsteps and explore abandoned ruins. He's also a ghost magnet, and "doesn't blame" his father for leaving. Once he found his 'weird stone' (relic fragment) washed up on the coast of beach cave, he took it as a sign of encouragement.

Constantly suffers from a stuffy nose, and seeks heat by sticking close to Midnight.

Vignette ꩜ Seer

Vignette is an absol who wants not only warn people of catastrophe, but prevent them all together. She was banished from her remote village once an attempt at prevention ended in an even worse catastrophe. She ran a long time until meeting Midnight near the Northern Desert.

With Midnight's guidance, perhaps they could help people

Patches ♤ Medium

One of the ghost types drawn to Simon for some reason. His fairy typing causes him to be unable to lie, so he often speaks in a round about way. He's taken an interest in Midnight due to how effective they are in not just defeating ghost types (easy for a dark type), but how they banish them.

Vignette is more than a little off put about this, but he's decided to join the team "for a while". He enjoys creating chaos and difficult situations in dungeons. A favorite past time is creating trouble with Midnight.

good morning or afternoon absol! this might be odd but do you have a fave twst ship?

Good morning Alice. I have a favorite. But I have a few ships I like in Twisted Wonderland. But… I also make primarily x reader content so I do not share much about them. My biggest favorite is a ‘rare pair’ of Floyd x Ruggie. I think their dynamic is very chaotic and I would thrive seeing them interact more. This came from my first experience with Camp Vargas years ago when they had a duo magic together. For some reason it clicked.

I also like Cater x Jamil which is a rare pair also. Only in a way that the ship is equally one sided and really they just have emotional vulnerability with one another… I think that is called Bromance. I think they just are comfortable venting. This is based solely off of Cater’s vignette from the summer event where Jamil says he looks good in that salmon pink color and Cater buys the scarf simply because Jamil said it suited him. I am happy.

Of course I am a RookVil truther. Rook and his beloved Queen whom he adores and is always attached to… I just like this because it’s nice seeing Rook fawn over Vil. I love a man who worships.

Shockingly… I also like Trey x Jade. Two very normal individuals who are slightly off. Nothing particular makes me like this ship. I just… Imagining them next to each other is odd. So I think they should be odd together. Trey can study Jades mouth and Jade can force feed Trey mushroom dishes.

He jumped and suddenly slipped on the snow, staggering to keep his balance. “Sorry, what?”

Absol was watching him as they walked, piercing red eyes sharp despite the biting wind. “You two have come quite far for young ones. What are you running from?”

Alyx stared down his long nose as they continued crunching through the snow. Chikorita had stopped to examine a frozen bush, but soon took off again, shouting over her shoulder that she could see the cave.

The human fled from Gardevoir, leaving her to take the brunt of the curse.

He sighed, letting out a plume of smoke as he did so. How can I tell this Pokémon that we’re on the run? That we’re fugitives, because of something I can’t even remember doing?

“It isn’t my business,” Absol continued as the silence drew out. “I am trying to make conversation, that is all. I rarely see other Pokémon this far out, and good company is difficult to come by in the frozen forest.”

“The natural disasters,” he finally began. “You said to Articuno that you can sense them, right?”

Absol nodded.

“And you said they’ve gotten worse recently.” Alyx clenched his forepaws. “When did that begin?”

Absol thought for a long time. “Perhaps…two months ago.”

Right when I came to this world. Alyx felt sick. Maybe Xatu was right.

Thinking about Vignette and Midnight....how Vignette ran and ran and ran away from her home so she could never hurt anyone again. How she tries to make the visions of destruction stop but avoiding them makes them worse. Trying to prevent it makes it even more worse.

How Midnight reached out their paw to help someone suffering even when they're in their "Dusknoir is Lying and Everyone is Evil" paranoia spiral.

Vignette being petrified to accept Midnight's invitation to Polaris until one day. A vision comes and it's about Midnight....

Do Midnight, Simon, and Vignette have any favorite dungeons/types of dungeons to explore?

Midnight's favorite dungeons are ruins (mostly because of their type advantage) and enjoys finding things that could be considered archaeology (I have a running gag planned for a long-term fic where Midnight keeps bringing Chatot cursed items and asking what they are). Plus, with the ruins Midnight can feel ghosts and sometimes interact with them!

Simon doesn't really feel a preference but it's definitely forests (even though he has to be extra careful bc both Midnight and Vignette are weak to bug types), he doesn't really HATE any dungeons except ones with unfair type disadvantages (like the Quicksand Desert).

Vignette is a little skittish and isn't a fan of getting dirty, but she does like places with scenic views like forests or cliff-sides. She's not a huge fan of ruins since it reminds her of death and other traumatic personal events.

Patches comes along sometime after these three idiots return to the future, and his favorite dungeons are dark, creepy places. Midnight doesn't mind as long as Simon is there to light the place up. Vignette minds. A lot.

🔶 Do any OCs have medical training?

Elijah and Ruth have a team called "Team No-Name", and in their (many) years together he's honed his healing skills (oran berries are rather rare, and small, in the dark future)

Prism knows moonlight, but often scolds her teammates for being so reckless.

Vignette knows basic wound care like bandaging and setting broken bones. She thinks it could be handy since she views herself as an harbinger of death :)

🍔 Do any OCS like cooking or baking?

Midnight loves cooking (especially chopping things up), and lets Simon sear it to their liking!!

📚 How educated our your OCs?

Simon knows how to read and write, but that's about it. Before Midnight came by, he didn't know how to count past ten.

Midnight is sixteen by the time the story starts, so they have like. An 11th grade education.

Ruth is quite knowledgeable from how long she's been alive. Also, she's discovered many ancient libraries and ruins! (Perhaps she was a tentative ally to the PIT?) 🎄 What are your OCs favorite holidays?

Fulmine's most excited for Christmas! She still believes in the Delibird who delivers presents.

Patches is SOOO excited for Halloween. He even has an alternate costume for it :3 !

Simon's favorite holidays are the ones spent with Midnight and his team!

I think the funniest time for Vignette (3rd member of Polaris) to come into the story is right after the incident at Quick Sand Cave. Imagine getting hired (by a 16 year old) and they get kidnapped to the Future like 3 weeks after.

And also at this point Midnight is SO paranoid they're like "Vignette the ghost is lying to us I think the lizard is a good guy." Meanwhile Vignette hasn't even learned status checker yet ???

She's just hanging at Spinda's like ???

Unsure how they meet each other but it's probably right after Fogbound Lake. Maybe Vignette was fleeing from A to B. And B was where Midnight and Simon were going for a mission.

Side task: rehabilitate the traumatized Absol with you and your pre-ghost type partner.

(Also yea part of her arc is showing the other, more exposed side of her face to Midnight. Smilessssss)
