Some old concept work I did for a game called Open Roads for Annapurna back in 2019. The project’s setting changed time periods from the 60s to the 90s since I did these. These images were a design for the Detective’s office location as well as a pitch for the art style, A sort of 60s advertising illustration look with lots of flat color and lots of detail that retains depth. #

My 10 Favorite Color Keys I painted for TMNT Mutant Mayhem. Loved working on this movie. Doing color keys is a very fun part of the process. We're given very very rough 3d to paint over and are responsible for all of the lighting, set dressing and first pass at matte painting targets. Traditionally color keys are meant to mostly just inform the lighting and color of a scene but because of our film's style Keys also influence and inform vfx and show style lines in the compositing stage.

Four buildings I designed in Earth 50101 Mumbattan for Across the Spider-Verse. The ink linework was based on classic Indian Indrajal comics. These buildings are also Modular using a system designed by Aymeric Kevin

A color key I did for TMNT Mutant Mayhem. A moment from the car chase scene. Really tried to focus on simplification and nailing that blinding light from the oncoming cars. Working on this movie was so fun ya’ll

Concept art I did for punk world in Across the Spiderverse. This got cut from the film but it was so fun to do. Jumping from style to style while working on this was challenging!

Grocery props I did for TMNT Mutant Mayhem. I used to not love getting assigned props, I felt like I should be doing the “important” stuff or whatever, ego shit. But doing props is cruelly s joy and be be super readily in between bigger assignments. It can be nice giving 100% of your attention to a banana or some bok choy.

Original Baxter stockman Basement painting by me. Loved making this. Early on this location played a bigger part in the story. We returned to it multiple times through out the old version of the film. Mondo gecko used to be held in a cage here. Baxter would buy stolen/illegal exotic animals to experiment on, There were story boards where Baxter exploded an alligator in the kiddy pool. We had kind of a weird amount of animal death in the old version 😂. There was also a beach boys needle drop. It was pretty tight actually. Can you find the Easter egg?

My designs for the TCRI motorcycle april steals in act 3. The top one is the final we went with. Tried to incorporate some classic 1987 tmnt tech language into the design. I also designed Jessica Drew’s motorcycle in Across the Spiderverse , so it’s a 2 for 2 motorcycle year for me. 🫡

Baxter Stockman’s house. An early set design I did for TMNT Mutant Mayhem I went on a research trip to NYC with Garrett lee and woodrow white back in 2021. I spent about a day walking around Staten Island taking photos,that lead to me pitching it as the location for this set… And it stuck !! The old version of the story had way more scenes set here.

A bunch of characters I did for the cut “turtles reveal themselves” montage in the old version of the film. This was early in production, Back then the turtles walk into highschool at the end of the first act with no plan and of course chaos ensues. FEMA, FBI, NYPD, Animal Control, etc showed up, the turtles got arrested, get tested and experimented on. They visit the white house. There are protests at nyc city hall with both people who love and hate the turtles lol. I did a bunch of ideas for pro and anti turtle protestors. Was looking at a lot of qanon rallies for reference lol. I tried to lean into them feeling like they were drawn with pencil and of course was riffing on what my friend and character designer woodrow white was doing

A huge batch of color keys i did for the mid credits high-school sequence in TMNT Mutant Mayhem, including some vertical phone ones. keys are a weird thing because they are sort of cobbled together from rough 3d and other artists paintings, lots of collaboration and recycling to increase efficiency
