History: Mika is part of a story that is still in the world-building stage, and basically has been for the last several years. I may bring her into the new story that I'm working on, which features Morgan and Luka, because she would fair very well there and is much more interesting than my current main character.

Mika was born in a very small town near the outskirts of the Capitol City. Her town is effectively a cult that worships demons that all of the village elders have familial contracts with, her father being one of them. She is the second child. She has an older brother named Saris, who she has an odd relationship with. She was born as an intersex child, meaning that she has both parts and everything works. She is also telepathic, empathic, and otherwise extremely psychic. Her whole life, she was brainwashed, and taught that eventually, when she came of age, one of the demon lords would come and choose her as their bride. Though, what that really meant was that she would be sacrificed to the demons that her village worshipped.

It also would have happened that way, had Captain Leon Reval not been passing through and saw the blood ritual that was about to happen. He killed the church leaders, and rescued her, taking her back to the Capitol City. Leon and his Commander, Iaran Aslanov, took her in and did their best to attempt to undo the brainwashing that had been done to her for the majority of her life. However, while they managed to convince her that she would have been killed had Leon not intervened, that did nothing for the trauma that she experienced as a child and young adult, and, subsequently, fell in with the wrong crowd.

Courtier twins Feren and his sister Luna befriended her and took her underneath their wing, introducing her to another courtier, who was actually a vampire: an aloof, somewhat twisted individual, who enjoyed humans and watching the world burn. That did not stop his immediate infatuation with Mika, due to her unique abilities. They fell in love with each other, him because she was interesting, and her because he was attractive and obsessed with her (their relationship is so toxic), and eventually he turned her so that he could have an immortal partner.

today i'm welcoming home my first BJD, "lieselotte!" i would like to occasionally post more doll content (especially lolita related) on my blog from now on.. so you may be seeing her often!! ♡

lolita collaborations sparked my interest in ball jointed dolls quite a while ago, but i've only recently started researching them and have come to love all of the similarities these hobbies share. i was very lucky to be able to find my discontinued dream doll completely unopened from a secondhand sale despite this specific model being made and distributed almost 15 years ago. it gives the same feeling as a very well preserved time capsule of sorts.

to give more information on her--she is a 2010 limited release model volks super dollfie x baby, the stars shine bright collaboration from the storyline "harajuku memories"

she is absolutely everything i wanted in a doll and a perfect fit for me as a lolita and avid fan of btssb. i prefer the older faceups of her rather than the more modern ones. i intend on matching coords with her-- so far, i own the same gingham rose OP, her default dress, and the honey cross shoes and socks.. though i want to hunt down the same christina hat she wears. i plan to take her outside with me once the weather gets a bit nicer, as her storyline mentions that being her wish!

i'm quite new to the hobby and still have a lot to learn, so feel free to share any resources or tips ^_^

Honestly I don’t want to sell her, but I am desperate for money right now, and I barely touch my dolls at all these days, with the occasional exception for Lulu. My job is stressful and hasn’t increased our pay at all except for two very small state-wide increases over the nearly 7 years I’ve been working it, but of course bills only get more and more expensive. I hate needing money to live, tbh, and poor Bee is seeing the consequences of that.

Beautiful Lieselotte default faceup from the 2013 release, she’s a really gorgeous and photogenic doll. The solid-torso small bust SDGr body is amazing and looks good in everything.

I feel sorry for people trying to sell their Lieselotte for what they paid. I don't think anyone is going to buy an old doll that was just up for order a couple weeks ago for 850$ (fullset included). I'm happy Volks let us join the preorder because that was the only possible way for me to get my own Lieselotte but I also feel sorry for people who paid 2-3k for theirs.
