me personally i think every american who wants to write fanfic about british media should be legally obligated to do extensive research on what terms are used over hear before posting it

its okay if you cant read like you used to. if novels you effortlessly consumed as a child are now a herculean task. its okay if you cant focus on the words and get lost in the paragraphs. its alright if it takes you multiple rereads to grasp whats happening
youre not broken. reading can be genuinely difficult for a whole host of reasons, and its not a reflection of your worth as a human being. its not a moral failing
if you have to use audiobooks or other means to access novels, thats perfectly fine! youre still absorbing written content, and at the end of the day it doesnt matter how you go about it
so go ahead and listen to your stories and enjoy experiencing other peoples worlds in the way that works best for you
