The coolest thing about hualian in my opinion

Is that they just simply

Talk

And I go insane about it more than about any downright romantic interactions

They just talk

And it feels so natural

About mundane stuff and deep stuff

And this comfort of talking about everything and nothing

Is probably the most comforting thing there can be in another person

The knowledge that you genuinely want to hear what the other has to say just as they want to hear you

This genuine interest and fun in simple communication

And understanding

It’s beautiful beyond words

i quit smoking like 4 days ago and i cleaned my room reallt good today and wiped off like 5 years worth of dust off my shelves and dresser .....

the infamous 'last sighting of a barbary lion in the wild' photo taken by marcelin flandrin (1925) haunts me to my core. there's something so achingly poetic about it.
