My siblings and I basically grew up on Horrible Histories, so no problem there. I just need them to watch Yonderland and then I can ramble all I want to them while having them understand me <3

Rapid fire immediate first impression We Are Not Alone thoughts

It was good, oh thank god I liked it, I’ve been excited for a full year because mate, my favourite genre written by two of my favourite writers??? I’d have been inconsolable at the lost potential if it had been bad

Oh, there’s a self important but really quite silly military guy, I wonder whose idea that was

Trater is my favourite, I think, followed by all the other aliens, followed by the humans. I just like aliens

That HS2 joke at the end got the biggest laugh out of the friend I was watching with. Also me. Also all the other political jokes. Yes we did both choose degrees that make us really, really fun at parties

GOD I hope they go to series and become the new Dave flagship, They’re in dire need of something like that over there anyway

I loved all the fun hairstyles the aliens had

I liked that Willbond’s alien (I think the credits said Darrenth?) had a little neck brace at the end. It was a nice touch

I… actually liked the AAA logo. I’d get a t-shirt

The whole thing has really made me remember how much I love the book The True Meaning of Smekday. It’s got exactly the same premise (funny aliens invade, win, run into problems feat. contemporary political humour) but a completely different, though equally good, execution. I recommend it

If this does go to series (hell, even if it doesn’t) I’d bet good money Stewart/Greggs will be The ship. I’ve been around before, I know how this works. What’s the ship name gonna be then? Steggs? Grewart? Greggs Stewart Roll? You’ve got to pick a good one early guys, before too many other people get here, and really settle on it firmly. Did you see the mess that happened with OFMD? Lock! It! Down!
