For the kiss ask, I will exercise some self control and ask for only one, even if I want to ask for like twenty 😅
For the pairing, I'm thinking Frankie and Bonnie (which oddly enough, the last time you did a prompt ask, I requested the same pair) and #27 "Kisses exchanged while one person sits on the other's lap". Please and thank you 😄
Thanks very much for the ask! Oh, Frankie and Bonnie, how I've missed them! I'm happy you decided to go with those two.
Pairing: Frankie x chubby!reader (aka Bonnie). For more of this pair, go to my Forever Starts With You masterlist.
Warnings: reader is self conscious in a swimsuit but everything is fine because Frankie is perfect, and then there's kissing.
Summary: You and Frankie go to a pool party.
Tumblr media
Okay so that gif is not by a pool but whatever
You have no idea how Frankie got you to agree to this. This is literally your nightmare.
The sun is shining, the audio system is pumping out something upbeat, people are talking and laughing – and everyone is in swimwear, or something tiny and summery. And no one is fat, of course, no one except you.
One of Frankie’s military buddies invited the two of you to a pool party and it’s really not your scene, least of all because of your size. You fretted for weeks before the party, went to the most expensive lingerie store in town and bought a disgustingly expensive swimsuit that looks amazing on you – but you are still overweight. Your skin still turns lobster red in the sun. You spent even more money on a kaftan dress that you probably won’t wear again, and only then did Frankie realize that you were dreading the party.
”We don’t have to go,” he told you, but you shook your head.
”You want to go.”
Frankie loves the sun and summer. You don’t mind it but you burn easily and with your weight and body, everything is sweaty and slippery and uncomfortable in the summer. And to put your body on display like that.
”You don’t have to wear a swimsuit,” Frankie tried.
”Then everyone will know exactly how uncomfortable I am,” you pointed out. ”It’s a pool party, of course I have to wear a swimsuit!”
So here you are, in your expensive outfit, with sparkly sandals on your feet and a straw hat on your head, your flickering gaze hidden behind dark sunglasses.
”You look amazing,” Frankie assures you in a warm whisper at your ear. ”I’m proud as hell to have you by my side.”
His arm is around you, and you feel more confident as he kisses your cheek, before steering you to wards the host couple. You are introduced, your kaftan is admired, you’re handed drinks, you make small talk until the next guest arrives, and you can retire to the side. You wave at Benny, who’s in the pool with someone in a triangle bikini on his shoulders. She shrieks when he tosses her into the water.
”You wanna go swimming?” Frankie asks, but you shake your head.
”Absolutely not.” You sip the margarita, and make a little noise.
”Christ, this margarita is good.”
”Lemme have a taste.” Frankie’s holding a beer, but you hand him your drink, and he sips it, licking his lips as he hands it back to you.
”That thing’s deadly. Enough of those, and I’ll get you to not only come swimming with me, but also perform a whole musical, Bonnie.”
You scoff at the nickname his friends once gave you after a particularly wet night during which you performed Total Eclipse of the Heart.
”I learned my lesson that night,” you shudder. The hangover you suffered from the following day was epic and you have no wish to repeat it, ever.
You mingle, talking to people, getting another drink and some snacks. You relax as you realize what you already knew deep inside: nobody cares about your size and what you’re wearing, all everyone wants is to have a good time.
You stay later than expected, and when the sun has set and the pool area is lit up by string lights, you finally go swimming. The pool water is a little warmer than you prefer after a day of sunny weather, but that just makes it nicer to get out of the water, into the cooling night. You walk around the pool, heading for Frankie in a chaise lounge, and you smile widely when you see that he is ogling you, a new beer in hand. When you reach him, he reluctantly hands you a towel, like he doesn’t want you to cover up just yet.
”Good swim?” he asks you in a low voice that vibrates along the length of your spine. You have to lick your lips before you can answer.
”It was okay. The water was too warm.”
He makes a sympathetic grimace but says nothing more. Instead, you can see how he caresses the curves of your body with his eyes. You give him a little shove.
”Hey, stop eye-fucking me.”
”Never.”
He smirks at you, and you grin back.
”I don’t think this is the right place for that, baby.”
”Anywhere is the right place with you looking like that.”
You roll your eyes to let him know just what you think of him being so simple about a woman in a swimsuit. Frankie takes your hand and gives it a light tug.
”Come on, sit.” He pats his thighs with his other hand.
Normally, you would hesitate. Sitting on his lap, even in the privacy of your home, isn’t something you enjoy much, because of your weight. But you’ve had a great day, you’re crazy in love with him, and you’re buzzing from several margaritas over the course of the afternoon, so you yield. Sitting down, you carefully try to distribute your weight, but Frankie doesn’t care as he slips his arms around you, happily staring into your cleavage that is, conveniently enough, right in front of him.
”Perfect,” he sighs happily, and you have to giggle.
”You are such a man.”
”Totally am.” His finger traces a feathery line along your spine, making you shiver. ”And you don’t mind at all, do you?”
You have to admit that it boosts your self esteem to have him look at you like that.
”I mind that I’m sitting here all hot and pretty, and you haven’t kissed me once yet,” you tell him off, and Frankie laughs before leaning in to brush his lips against yours.
”You could have asked, querida.”
”I thought you were clever enough to understand what was expected of you,” you retort, your tongue flicking out at his lips.
”Clearly not...” His mouth closes over yours in a soft kiss before opening, moving a little, then closing again. You cup his cheek with one hand, the other losing itself in the curls at the nape of his neck. Frankie rests one hand on your wet thigh, innocent-looking enough, but his fingertips are digging a little into the soft flesh, reminding you of how he can grip you when his face is buries in the apex of your thighs. His other hand is on your lower back, making slow little circles on your wet skin as you kiss.
”Maybe it’s time we go home?” you suggest in a soft sigh against his lips. He smiles, and shakes his head.
”Not yet. I want to show you off a little longer. Okay?”
You smile back, cheeks feeling warm.
”Okay.”

5. Are you in love?
I wouldn’t say I am in love, no.
6. Are you single this year?
Technically I’m married.
8. Describe your crush
Lol. Nice body, nicer cock hahahah
11. Do you ever want to get married?
I am married, but would I get married again? Hm I don’t know. Maybe if I found the right person haha
14. Do you have a crush on anyone?
I do :)
24. Do you think you’ll be married in 5 years?
To my husband? No. To someone else? Probably not unless I found the right person but right now that’s the last thing I’m thinking about 🙃
25. Do you want to be in a relationship this year?
Hmm well it’s December and the year is almost over and like I said I’m married so lol
28. Have you ever been cheated on?
Yes
29. Have you ever cheated on someone?
Yes, a guy I dated when I was younger. I cheated on him with a friend. And I mean if you wanna call what I am doing now cheating, then yes. But I’m in a loveless marriage. That I plan on leaving. And my husband knows I plan on it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
30. Have you ever considered plastic surgery? If so, what would you change about your body?
Yes, I’d love to get a breast lift. And my lips done. But really that’s about it.
47. How old are you?
29 :)
51. Is there a boy/girl who you would do absolutely everything for?
My children lol
56. State 8 facts about your body
1. I had 3 children
2. When I’m about to get my period I get horrible migraines
3. Lol, so I have a toe, that is the same size as my pinkie to next to it. I’ll never show it🙃
4. I have a big nose and I hate it
5. My pussy is fat 😭
6. My skin is soft
7. My eyes are a blue green
8. I bite my nails
58. What are five ways to win your heart?
1. Be obsessive 2. Make me laugh 3. Show me I’m worth it 4. Care about my interests 5. Obviously you have to like kids haha
62. What is the sexiest thing someone could ever do for/to you?
Be obsessive
63. What is your definition of “having sex”?
Foreplay, cuddles, after care and me sitting on your cock 🙃💕
64. What is your definition of cheating?
I think actually seeking out and meeting up in secret, like physical intimacy and having a whole ass relationship with another person, physically and not leaving your partner.
65. What is your favourite foreplay routine?
Fingering/eating me out for hours until I’m dripping wet and begging for your cock
67. What is your idea of the perfect date?
Nice dinner and a midnight stroll on the beach. Lots of talking included maybe skinny dipping if the weather is warm enough
69. What turns you off?
When someone doesn’t respect my boundaries
70. What turns you on?
Physically: neck kisses, butt grabs, soft touches, when they do the little thing like grabbing me by the back of my neck lol
Using their words: communication, describing in detail how they are going to ruin me, sending me dick pictures lmao or cum videos ugggghhh (consensually ofc)
71. What was your kinkiest wet dream?
I unfortunately don’t remember my dreams
72. What words do you like to hear during sex?
Good girl, lots of praise, moaning ugh it drives me wild when a man whimpers 🫠 when I’m told how well I’m doing while I’m being ruined and a drooling whimpering mess haha
74. What’s the most superficial characteristic you look for?
I really care about looks. As shallow as I sound I don’t think I could date someone I found unattractive. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I like a nice jawline, I like skinny fit men, plump lips. Idk sorry lol
75. What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you?
Wow I don’t know it’s been a while and I can’t remember honestly.
76. What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for someone?
Planning dates, setting up a whole surprise birthday party, making dinner every night lol idk I think I do sweet things on the daily. I’m also just a sweet person. I’d you ever date me that’s one thing I love giving gifts random gifts, surprises and such but I hate surprises.
77. What’s your opinion on age differences in relationships?
Okay so here’s the thing. I don’t see a huge issue with it, my limit personally being 29 is I would date someone 45. But like a 30 year old has no business dating someone who is 18. One because someone who is 18 isn’t experiencing the same things as a 30 year old. And those two people are in different places in their lives. Like I would never date someone who is 18 let alone younger than like 24 hahah idk that’s just me though. Like me being 30 I can relate to someone who is 45 because I’m older I’ve experienced life already someone who is 18 hasn’t done the same things as me. I don’t see us having anything in common. Don’t care for it honestly.
79. When was the last time you felt jealous? Why?
Earlier today lol. When I was thinking about my crush, and how he could potentially be talking to other people hahaha. I get stuck in my head a lot 🙃
81. Who are five people you find attractive?
1. Ohhhh this guy named Alex 💕
2. Oscar Isaac
3. I’m gonna expose myself for this one, but if you know me, or talked to me about my writing, I write fanfiction. Especially about James Cameron’s avatar. Haha so Jake sully from avatar. It feeds into my size kink okay 🙃
4. My bestie Kat, she is so beautiful and she is my soulmate!
5. And I’m gonna say myself because I think I do have a pretty attractive face :)

This fucking town! // Fires burn black and snows year round // And dead don’t mean dead until you see it first hand // What did you say to me, hello? That the fires burn yellow? // Now I’ll take you by the elbow “baby, forecast says snow” // You say it’s August, you doing blow? // Blossoms open with teeth and tongues // And the bats are really vampires, baby. // I can’t tell you again, it’s this fucking town. // In the snows // With vampires // And petal maws // This fucking town // Don’t ask me on air // (Oh babe, please don’t) // Can’t say more, babe // Don’t ask me on air // (Small print, baby) // In the snows // With vampires // And petal maws // This fucking town // When the gorge opens up”

3. You'll need to suck it up
Tumblr media
part 3 out of 8
word count: 1075
Barry was pacing nervously behind you. His hair was growing, you noticed. He was also very tall. You stared at him, amazed, for a moment, thinking how most of the time at college, you saw him sitting.
"Oh", he nodded towards the road.
From the very beginning of the venture, you've been angry. The idiotic idea of meeting Batman in the middle of the street while he didn't even have the decency of sitting at any coffeshop with you; Barry's passive acceptance of the outrageous conditions; and the weather and this wind, constantly messing up your hair.
A slick black McLaren Elva was slowing down and pulling up on the curb next to you.
You turned to Barry with a swing.
"You gotta be shitting me. Bruce, as in Bruce Wayne?"
He shrugged.
"Before we get to it, I would like to remind you, this was not my idea. Although I'm not reacting like you, since living with my only friend doesn't feel all that horrendous to me..."
He didn't have a chance to finish, because Bruce Wayne left the car and stood before you two.
"Hey", he said, bleakly. Barry nodded.
"You're a billionaire, and we're meeting in the street?" you asked, meekly.
"So sorry for that, I apologize. I have very little time. You must be Y/N".
You shook Batman's hand, thinking about what you're supposed to feel now.
"Is it true that this whole thing about co-habitation..."
"Unfortunately, since the identities of the Justice League are mostly anonymous, we can't risk losing you out of sight", Wayne commented. He seemed like the gravest, the most unfunny person you've met; like the kind of dude with a face that no muscle of would move even if Barry Allen slips on a banana peel and lands on his ass.
"This is to assert both our and your security. We have high-profile enemies".
"I would guess, but how do you think you'll control them if I live with Barry?"
"I mean, you'll be living with the Flash. In case of anything, he knows the protocol", he looked briefly at Barry behind your back.
"Look, Mr Batman", you tried again. Wayne cleared his throat,
"Please, the name, here".
"Mr Wayne, I get that it's a very important secret to keep. I understand. Barry didn't tell me, it just happened by accident. I have no intention to set you, or him, up..."
Wayne looked at his watch with the apologizing look on his face.
"I'm sorry, I need to be going. You'll get a three-room apartment, each of you will have separate room. No visitors, the rent is paid for three years. Otherwise you're free to do anything".
"What's the alternative?"
His face didn't change the expression as he said,
"The alternative is the FBI case on attempted domestic terrorism".
He nodded at you, as if saying, you'll have to suck it up. Then he got into his ridiculous car and drove away, silent.
You have got to admire the lengths Bruce Wayne was willing to go to protect Barry.
As you turned back to him, you found his face was grave, like he ate a whole lemon.
"The alternative?"
"Why?"
He was at loss of words. He threw his hands in the air.
"Hasn't it occurred to you that maybe I, too, didn't wanna live with you?"
You raised your eyebrows.
"Who would want to share apartment with such a negative, nosy person like you?"
"Barry", you began, but he interrupted you.
"And now you make it look like it's the most terrible thing that happened to you. You were the one who was making screenshots of me, because you wanted me to confess so badly! Didn't let me breathe the whole year, tormenting me, like it's just a nasty secret I'm keeping for my own sake! And now, when you finally got it, you're acting like he's seding you to prison! I don't want to move in with you either! Make it make sense!"
And he left, furious, leaving you with your eyes rolled out with shock.
These bursts of temper were not too rare with him, but never to such extent.
"It does, to me", you mumbled to yourself.
And then you moved in. It was a very nice flat, much nicer than anything two graduates could ever afford in the first summer of job-seeking. The two rooms you had were equally big, yours had a huge window that gave view of maples outside. Barry was gracious to give it up for you and move into the other one, across the corridor, with the view of the corner of the street. The apartment had two bathrooms, a living room, and a lofty-like kitchen with the cupboard combination and a bar table in the middle for eating. Living was comfortable, actually. The first weeks' adjustment was funny; Barry jumped out of his pants half of night and slept half of day. He had like ten PCs that were randomly located all round his room. He had a habit of 'taking by accident' your water bottles that made a fancy collection on his coffee table. He never cleaned the kitchen after himself. Actually, scratch that, adjusting was a nightmare. He'd forget wrappings exactly where he unwrapped the food, and he'd run across the apartment at such speed that the air vibrated around the corridors. You constantly confused the bathrooms as they were situated next to one another, and collide there, just like he dreamed about. He ate everyting, all the time, including what you had cooked for yourself.
He was also very funny, and endearing in a way. He tried really hard not to get on your nerves too much, and told stories of every little thing he did with the team. Now that there were no secrets between you, he felt more confident, more comfortable, more sure. There was one secret, of course, but it was so prosaic, so banal. He was in love with you, awkwardly, with the feeling of guilt. But he didn't have much time to sulk in it because he had a lot of work. Half of the time he was the Flash, and half of it he was jumping from one job interview to another. Thus several months have passed, and only by the middle of winter, closer to New Year, you two have realized that you finally matched comfortably in this weird funny situation you had brought upon you.

Found spoons. Not the spoons I was looking for, but spoons.
Fewer things in life were nicer than a nap on a weekend afternoon.
They were lazy. Cozy. Something Adam Parrish never got enough of prior to hitting thirty, so, since then, he took them every opportunity he could. First in his Petworth apartment, and then in his condo in Columbia Heights. Mostly on his couch, but more recently in his bed.
There weren't many couches large enough to comfortably accommodate two sleeping thirty-eight-year-old men.
Because Adam's naps were no longer solo affairs, and he liked them better that way, warmer and wrapped around his boyfriend, Ronan Lynch. Ronan hadn’t been a napper, but Adam converted him, though it hadn't taken much proselytizing, just a suggestive look and a shirt dropped on the floor outside the bedroom door.
They napped on Saturdays after coming home from the farmers market, and on Sundays when Ronan came back from going to mass with his brothers. And if they weren't in D.C., on the weekends Adam went to Ronan instead, they had the same kind of routine in Ronan’s bed at the Barns, his farm in rural western Virginia.
That weekend though, they were in Washington, and despite it being very fine weather for July, a day where D.C. wasn’t the swamp it became in the summer months, Adam and Ronan laid cocooned in blankets and sheets. They’d spent the morning out, getting breakfast, picking up groceries, finally getting Ronan a phone charger he could leave at Adam’s, but afterward, it was back to bed.
Arms tangled around each other as fingers tangled in t-shirts.
Ronan’s slow, even breaths warm against Adam’s neck.
Ronan’s buzz cut soft under Adam’s nose.
If he never had to leave his bed again, Adam would be perfectly content.
But as much as Adam wanted to, they couldn’t stay in bed much longer. The alarm Adam set for 3:30 woke him, even if it didn’t wake Ronan, and Adam moved only enough to reach across the bed and snoozed his phone before wrapping his arm around his boyfriend again. He’d give Ronan another few minutes—though it was mostly self-serving; Adam liked the way Ronan’s body half-covered his own, the way it weighed him down a little. He relished in it, probably for a bit too long, because his snoozed alarm started again, and that time it did wake Ronan up.
Micromovements tipped Adam off first that Ronan was awake, an elbow twitching, then flexing fingers. Then the covers rustled as Ronan stretched his legs out and tucked his bare feet between Adam’s calves, and as he buried his face further into the side of Adam’s neck, Ronan groaned, “Don’t wanna move. Tell them we’re not coming.”
Laughing, Adam slid a hand up Ronan’s back to cup his skull, and he turned his face into the side of Ronan’s head and kissed it. “Come on. You know how much that’ll disappoint Gansey.”
Ronan’s stubble dragged against Adam’s throat as he lifted his head so he could look down at Adam. “Don’t care,” he murmured. “He’s gonna make it weird anyway.” Still a little bleary eyed from their nap, a crease from the pillow they’d been sharing imprinted on his cheek, Ronan’s usual edges were worn down and he looked—softer. It made Adam want to not move either, made him want to text Gansey and Blue and reschedule their double date so he and Ronan could laze in bed all night. “God, it’s gonna suck.”
“You’re the one who wanted to go,” Adam told him, keeping his annoyance at a minimum. They weren’t at the Barns that weekend because Ronan wanted to go out with Gansey and Blue. Since Adam and Ronan began dating, there had been a never-ending stream of suggestions to go out to dinner together, to go to the movies together, to go to a museum together. Adam was always willing, but Ronan was the hold out, until the suggestion was indoor miniature golf and cocktails at a place that just opened in D.C.
Ronan needed to do something, he’d explained, not just sit in a chair or stand in front of a painting. Adam had countered that Ronan could have told Gansey that, considering they’d been friends for over twenty years, but Ronan hadn’t liked that suggestion either.
“That was a week ago,” Ronan replied, reaching up to push his fingers through Adam’s hair. “Before you looked the way you do now.”
Bedhead and a wrinkled t-shirt weren’t Adam’s best look, in his opinion, but he liked that Ronan liked it. Liked it enough to comment on it, though Ronan usually didn’t have a problem saying how he felt in regards to Adam’s looks. He didn’t have a problem showing it either, and he tugged Adam’s hair as he leaned down and kissed Adam, quick and more than a little dirty.
“Lynch, no,” Adam laughed, but he kissed Ronan back before curving his hand around Ronan’s jaw and pushing him away. “You’re—”
Adam knew what Ronan was—mildly horny—but he wouldn’t say it. He didn’t want to draw attention to the fact, like putting it into words would be the spark that sent the evening up in flames. Because if Ronan kept kissing Adam and running his fingers through Adam's hair, Adam would join him in mild horniness, which would escalate to full horniness, which would escalate to canceling their double date to spend the evening in bed. While Adam wasn’t opposed to that idea, he’d been looking forward to beating Ronan at minigolf.
Shifting so Ronan had to move off of him, Adam propped himself up on an elbow, looked down at Ronan, and said, “It’s not gonna suck. And you already knew Gansey would make it weird. He makes everything a little weird.”
“A little puts it lightly.”
“Probably, yeah.”
Curling an arm behind his head, green snake scale tattoo vibrant against the white sheets, Ronan grabbed Adam’s free hand and tangled their fingers together. He looked at their hands for a second, rubbing his thumb over Adam’s knuckles a few times before he looked back at Adam. “Do we have to?”
If they were going out with anyone else, Adam would have said they had to go, but it was only Gansey and Blue, the people who knew Adam and Ronan best, the people who would understand if they postponed. But Adam and Ronan would have to face them eventually. They’d been able to successfully avoid a double date with Gansey and Blue for two months, but they wouldn’t be able to avoid it forever. Better to go miniature golfing now than wait another two months for another suggestion Ronan was amenable to.
But if Ronan really didn’t want to go, they wouldn’t go, and, shaking his head, Adam smiled wryly at Ronan. “Not if you don’t want to. But it would be kind of—uncouth,” he said, stealing one of Gansey’s words, “if we canceled an hour before we’re supposed to meet them.”
“Shit. I wouldn’t want to be uncouth.” Ronan rolled his eyes, and, only serving to encourage Ronan’s behavior, Adam laughed. A little at first, then harder when Ronan smirked, a small, wicked curve at the corner of his lips, and it was just a single moment in a sea of them, but it was one of the things that made being with Ronan so good. So easy. Laughing. Slipping into occasional bouts of immaturity. Things Adam hadn’t even known he’d been missing. Things that made him light.
Things that made him happy.
Letting go of Adam’s hand, Ronan wrapped both arms around Adam’s shoulders and pulled him down so he laid on top of Ronan. For a moment, Ronan buried his nose in Adam’s hair and didn’t say anything, and Adam let him take his time to put his words together, enjoying the feel of Ronan’s breath moving his hair. Eventually, Ronan said, voice low, “I want to go, but—For one, Gansey’s gonna be weird as hell. He’ll be all sentimental and proud and happy and—Don’t laugh. He will be.” Ronan wrestled Adam onto his back and pinned Adam’s shaking shoulders to the bed, staring down at him. “You didn’t see him when I told him about our first date. I swear, Adam, he was two seconds from weeping with joy.”
“Sounds like Gansey.” Adam put his hands on Ronan’s cheeks and after tracing Ronan’s cheekbones, he used his thumbs to turn Ronan’s slight scowl upward until Ronan started smiling for himself. Smiling a little back, Adam asked, “What’s for two?”
“For two—” Ronan kissed one of Adam’s thumbs and then the other, and he paused a moment before continuing. “I like being alone with you. I don’t have to—I don’t know—perform. And we can leave whenever the hell we want.”
“We can still leave whenever the hell we want,” Adam told him, cheeks warming a little at Ronan saying he preferred spending time with Adam and just Adam. They went out, they got dinner, they went hiking, places they weren’t alone alone, but it was always as if they were in an Adam-and-Ronan terrarium others got near but never entered. It would be different going out as a foursome rather than a twosome, but Adam thought it might be a good kind of different. "Pull on your ear or look at me cross-eyed or something and I'll make up some excuse to go."
"We can't just leave," Ronan said, leaning down and resting his forehead on Adam's, and to avoid a cramp from the weird angle, Adam moved his hands from Ronan's cheeks to his ribs. “Sargent will kill us.”
“Yeah," Adam agreed, "I wouldn’t put that past her.”
“And it’ll break Gansey’s delicate heart.”
“It probably will.”
This close, all Adam could see was icy blue eyes, but he was pretty sure a smile split Ronan's face. Under his hands, Ronan's ribs rose and fell, and it was tempting to inch his hands beneath Ronan's shirt, to trace lines of tattoos Adam memorized weeks ago, but if Adam did that, he'd turn into the one who didn't want to leave.
"I want to go," Ronan repeated after they shared space and air quietly for a few moments. "If you do."
"I want us to go," Adam replied, "so I can kick your ass at minigolf and hold it over your head."
"That's how you think it's going to go?" Ronan asked, climbing off of Adam and out of bed, pulling Adam up with him. "I think you're going to be disappointed, Parrish. I'm fucking amazing at minigolf."
Laughing, Adam pushed Ronan toward his weekender bag, the one that came to Washington full and left empty because Ronan's clothes had started assimilating with Adam’s in the hamper and then in the dresser. "I guess we'll see, Lynch, but don't think too highly of yourself."
While they changed—Adam persuaded Ronan into a pair of dark gray shorts that showed off half of the tree tattoo that spanned his right leg from ankle to thigh—they debated the merits of a ride share versus public transportation versus walking. Ronan stepping onto Adam’s balcony and saying, “Jesus, it’s nice out,” decided the matter, and they made the thirty-minute walk to DuPont Circle.
“We actually thought you were fake dating,” Blue said when they met her and Gansey at their destination. “Like you told us you were going out so we wouldn’t think you were lonely losers.”
“That doesn’t make sense,” Adam replied. He and Ronan were already one romantic comedy trope. They didn’t need to be shoehorned into another. “Wouldn’t we want you to see us together if we were fake dating?”
“Plus, Parrish is still a loser,” Ronan added as he draped his arm around Adam’s neck. “He’s just not lonely anymore.”
“Thank you, Ronan.”
“My pleasure.” Ronan pulled Adam closer and kissed his cheek, and Ronan’s affection wasn’t something Adam normally blushed at, but the fondness on Gansey’s face as he watched the two of them made heat flare through Adam’s face to the tips of his ears.
“Well, I, for one, am glad there’s nothing fake about you dating,” Gansey said sincerely, and Adam was certain his cheeks and ears went from pink to red. Always the gentleman and always looking to make all participating parties comfortable, Gansey steered the conversation away from Adam-and-Ronan and said, “Shall we golf?”
They golfed.
Blue won, because she was the only one who took their game seriously, even though Adam made an attempt to. From his first putt, Ronan openly sabotaged Gansey, and with his turn between Gansey’s and Ronan’s, Adam’s ball was caught in the crossfire. By the third hole, Adam gave up trying to win, let alone make par, and settled for not losing. That, at least, was achievable, despite Ronan’s sabotage and the extensive cocktail list that complemented the street food the bar served.
Throughout the course of the evening, Ronan never once pulled on his ear, and he never looked at Adam cross-eyed.
It was still light out when they left, though the sky was lilac and coral and pink, not the brilliant blue it had been when they’d arrived. Hugs were exchanged, and so were promises to do it again sooner than two months from now, and since it was a very nice night that followed the very nice day, Adam and Ronan walked back to Adam’s condo. No sooner were they through the front door than hand was in hand and one arm was draped around a waist while another wound around a neck, and as they started waltzing a little in the living room, Ronan called out, “Alexa, play Ronan’s Music.”
“No!” Adam laughed when squash one, squash two flooded from the speaker, and he gently shoved Ronan’s cheek when Ronan dropped his head back and cackled. “Alexa, skip song.” Leaning in to kiss Ronan’s exposed neck as the song changed to something more tolerable, a slow folk ballad full of fiddles and a bodhran, Adam murmured, “You come into my home, make your own playlist, and put that awful thing as the first song.”
“You like it,” Ronan replied, tightening his arm around Adam’s waist and tipping his head down so his cheek rested against Adam’s as they swayed.
Adam could deny it. He hated the song. But he liked that, from the first time Ronan came over, Ronan made himself at home. Small things: a bar of his soap in the shower, the hot sauce he liked in the cabinet, his favorite beer in the fridge. Small things that made Adam feel like Ronan was there, even on the days he wasn’t, like Ronan’s life was already all tangled up and deeply rooted in Adam’s.
So as they danced there in the living room, rotating in small circles to some Gaeilge Adam would never understand, Adam settled his cheek against Ronan’s, and all he said, just loud enough for Ronan to hear, was, “Yeah. Yeah, I do.”

I watch the sunlight hit the wing of the jet and reflect off the metal. before we've even landed, I can practically feel the warmth of the Los Angeles sun in my mind. even though we're here for a case, all I can think about is how much nicer the weather will be.
"the light will damage your eyes." Reid's voice across from me jolts me back to reality. he redirects me to the chess board, where he's apparently already made his move and is waiting for me to do the same.
I frown. "whatever."
normally, there'd be some kind of clock to keep track of our moves, but Spencer has been keeping our progress slow. it's appreciated, as I'm still familiarizing myself with the rules of the game and different playing strategies. of course, I want to be good, but it's much easier said than done.
"looking forward to LA?" I ask to bide my time while the doctor stares at the board. he rests his knuckles beneath his chin, then looks up at me. the dimming light catches his eyes in a honeyed tone.
"it's okay, as long as we're not outside often."
"okay, Dracula." I tease. he sighs the kind of sigh he does when he has a lot to say but doesn't want to compact all of it for the rest of us ordinary people to understand.
"I just don't like the heat."
"good thing you moved to DC." I reply sarcastically.
he seems like he wants to say something in response, then decides against it. instead, he taps a long finger on the wooden board. "pay attention."
"I don't wanna do this anymore, Spence." I whine. just then, JJ passes by with a cup of coffee and rests her hand on the top of my seat.
"do what?"
"chess," Spencer gives her a look asking for help before turning his gaze back to me. "you can't just give up every time something gets hard."
"I can if it's something I don't care about," I roll my eyes. "he keeps beating me, too. it's defeating."
"then play smarter." Reid gives me a challenging smile.
"give her a break, Reid." JJ musses his hair as she walks past him and to her own spot. as Spencer fixes it with a blush, I push down my frustration. I know this is his specialty, but it's not mine and I'm tired.
I give him something of a pleading expression before leaning back in my seat with arms folded. he stares at me for a minute-- or through me, really-- and then to the board. I try to reorient myself and give it another shot, my fingertips pressing impatiently into the surface of the table.
"queen to h4." it comes out while Spencer coughs, the directions clear as day. he lifts his attention to me again and I look at him with confusion. is he really going to let me win? do I even want it?
I want a nap more.
with a satisfying click, I do as he says and trap him. Spencer shakes his head and lets out a breath. "wow."
"shut up." I pick up the pawns and slide them back into the little velvet pouch that they came in. Reid pulls a book out of his bag and opens it, but not before sneaking a small smile over the rim of the pages.
he knows what I'm going to say. "thanks."
"mhmm." he goes back to reading.
the smugness lingers in the air until I eventually doze off to the sound of the engine and the turning of pages.
JJ wakes me up later to fill us in on the case. Hotch has been in the city for a few days already for a conference, but told us to come after a detective friend of his requested our help on a series of murders in the area, all execution-style shots with a .22 caliber handgun.
"the first two victims were Wally Melman and Chloe Harris," she says. "they were both killed in public places. Chloe was killed while walking her dog on the beach in Santa Monica, which she did every morning. Wally was killed outside a massage parlor, which he went to every Tuesday."
"if he knows their schedules he must follow his victims for a while," Morgan frowns as he flips through his file. "and no witnesses for either... he must be able to blend in."
"meticulous." I rub my eyes.
"the most recent victim is Natalie Ryan. she's an actress and there's been tons of media coverage about the murder, so I'd be cautious about paparazzi while we're there." JJ warns us as she settles onto the couch.
I've never worked on a celebrity case before, so this puts me off slightly. the idea of everyone's eyes on us while we work makes me anxious, especially given the nature of LA paparazzi.
 ...
the coffee is terrible at the precinct. I'm perched on the edge of a desk while Hotch paces back and forth, the detective situated across from the team.
"you think he's an assassin?" he asks dubiously.
Prentiss nods. "there's no obvious links within the victimology-- all the murders were clean except Natalie's boyfriend, Jeremy, who we think was just collateral damage."
"there's no evidence left at any of the crime scenes or any signature, either." Reid rests his chin on his knuckles, eyebrows furrowed. his watch glints under the light. the guy still looks unconvinced, though, so I speak up.
"you're looking for a Type 4 assassin, someone who suffers from a major mental disorder. they're usually delusional."
Reid opens his mouth, likely to explain the other types of assassins, when someone knocks on the doorframe. it's a short, stocky man.
"excuse me," he looks at all of us cramped in the tiny office. "is there a detective Kim here?"
"that's me." the detective stands.
"you're in charge of the Natalie Ryan murder investigation, right?"
at this, my ears perk up. everyone stares at the man.
"my client-- I'm sorry, is there anywhere we can talk about this in private?" he eyes us warily, suddenly uncomfortable with the amount of people around. I'm more intrigued than ever.
"we're all working this case." Kim replies.
"oh," he clears his throat. "well, my client received a note-- I told her not to worry about it, but--"
"where's the note?" Morgan cuts him off.
he hands over a magazine clipping, an article on the Natalie Ryan murder, which has "YOU OWE ME" written in red marker across the page. Morgan gets up.
"where's your client?"
"she's in the other room."
"Reid, Williams, let's go." he follows the man out, Spencer and I trailing quickly behind like ducklings.
there's a separate office tucked into the corner of the precinct, where the man gestures to a young woman sitting in a chair. I don't recognize her, but she looks like a celebrity herself.
"this is my client, Lila Archer." the guy tells us. he must be her manager. the woman turns to see us standing there. she's obviously distraught, silent while we introduce ourselves and until Morgan begins to ask her questions about the note. every question flusters her further.
eventually, the rest of the team comes in to hear her story, and it's clear that the unsub is committing the murders on what they believe is her behalf. once she realizes this, though, she gets overwhelmed and excuses herself abruptly. a few of us glance between each other. Lila's manager, Michael, looks like he's about to go after her, but Hotch asks him to stay for a few more questions and asks one of us to find her instead.
something in my chest flares when Reid volunteers and practically runs out of the room. my eyebrows pull together in confusion and I sense Morgan looking at me, but I don't say anything. instead, I turn my attention to Hotch.
neither of them return for a good ten minutes, and when they do, we're packing up. tonight will be spent putting together a preliminary profile and tomorrow we'll have to figure out what to do. I've been less on my toes than I'd like, too preoccupied by how quickly he offered to find her.
she seems better, if not slightly jumpy. Spencer says something to her and she walks over to Michael. he puts his arm around her shoulder comfortingly. the three of them talk to Hotch in hushed tones and I try to keep from staring.
I'm throwing out the remains of my coffee when Spencer sidles up next to me as if nothing happened. we walk out with the rest of the team into the night air.
"they gave her a security detail, right?" he asks me.
"of course," I wonder what he said to her to calm her down. Spencer has never seemed inclined to console a stranger. "how'd you convince her to come back inside?"
"well, I told her that this person likely started out as a stalker and that these cases usually either culminate in the stalker killing themselves or the object of their desire." he states. my eyebrows fly up.
"you said that?"
"yes," he pauses when he sees my expression. "what?"
"nothing. I'm just surprised she looked so calm when she came back." I shake my head.
"I also said we'd assign 24/7 security to her in the meantime, so that might have helped."
I adjust my bag further up my shoulder. "that was nice of you, to go make sure she was okay."
Spencer smiles at me and any strangeness I was feeling before melts away. something is seriously wrong with me; here he was, just being a nice person, and I was making it about myself.
"are you okay?" he breaks the quiet between us. the team is talking behind us about the case, but I realize that I haven't said anything for a good thirty seconds.
"I think I'm just tired. that coffee was undrinkable."
he laughs. "do you wanna get a new one?"
"are any places still open?" I look at the silky sky above, starless but punctured by the lights of office buildings all around.
"it's 8pm. I'm sure there are." a small grin tugs at his lips, this one rather teasing. I roll my eyes before turning to tell the team we'll meet them at the cars in a few minutes.
we find a small café about two blocks down, filled with twinkling lights and Frank Ocean playing over the speakers. there are plants crammed in every windowsill, their leaves taking on a deep green in the dim, romantic light.
a couple people are situated at the tables. I peruse the fancy options as Spencer grumbles next to me about how stupid it is to have this many choices when ordering coffee.
"you know, I usually disagree when people complain about 'the good old days,' but I really do agree in this particular case." he tells me.
"yeah?" I suppress a grin.
"yes." he folds his arms over his chest. "banana coffee sounds terrible. who is ordering that?"
the person in front of us finishes up and leaves.
"me." I say as I step forward to the register, half out of spite and half curiosity. frankly, it does sound terrible, but this café looks popular so maybe it'll be good.
I can feel Spencer's eyes boring into me as I order, then his pointed, "just a medium black coffee, please," when it's his turn.
"are you paying together or separately?" the barista asks us.
"I am not paying for that." Spencer turns to me. I laugh and hand over my card.
"together, thanks."
he shakes his head at me as we walk to the other end of the bar to wait for our drinks.
"you're gonna regret that flavor, I'm calling it now." he says offhandedly.
"be nice to me, Reid. I paid for your drink."
"I didn't ask you to!" his voice goes up an octave. I nudge his shoulder, and, to my surprise, he nudges mine back. heat rushes into my cheeks and then our coffees are on the counter and I taste it as we walk back out into the street.
it takes everything in me not to wrinkle my entire face up.
"how is it?" Spencer is watching me intently. I can see the triumphant smile threatening to break out, the light in his eyes making me feel a bit better about earlier.
"it's good." I lie through my teeth. Reid sees right through me, however, and grabs the cup out of my hand. to my astonishment, he takes a sip with the same straw I was using. he nearly gags.
"oh, that's bad." he laughs and it sounds almost like a giggle, which is infectious.
"it tastes like if someone took a banana and straight espresso and then smashed them together without any sugar."
"it just tastes like tar."
"will you pay me $5 to finish this?" I hold it up like a trophy, like drinking it will be a feat.
"absolutely not," he shakes his head. "I'm not paying for your mistake."
the rest of our walk back to the car is lighthearted, our laughter floating up into the city air like the heat. Spencer brags about how delicious his coffee is, how unmarred by silly flavors, and I feel our bodies growing closer together.
the sidewalk is somewhat wide, but we're walking pretty much shoulder to shoulder, our hands brushing once by accident. I feel like a middle schooler, the way I withdraw my touch as if it's shocked me. it's hard not to notice, though, when Spencer is usually someone who prefers more space. here he is, knuckles grazing mine while we chat.
our friendship is so new, yet so much has happened since we met. this job compresses time and fills every day with something freshly horrifying. there's something about working with Reid that makes me feel like we've known each other forever, though. I spend so much time with him that I'm now highly aware of all his habits and tendencies, what the different pitches of his voice mean and the secret preferences he harbors about the most minute things.
something about it is terrifying, how easily he has threaded himself into my life, but thrilling as well. all I can think about is how after I showered at his apartment and fell asleep on that plush couch, how I woke up to the sound of him washing our mugs in the kitchen sink and didn't want to be anywhere else in the world.
he sticks close to my side until we see the team standing by the cars, their moods much more austere than our own. for a second, I had forgotten why we're here.
"ready to go?" Prentiss looks between the two of us.
"yeah, we're good." I find myself moving away from Spencer, realizing how inappropriate our chumminess right now might seem.
I can feel Spencer's eyes on me as I go to get into the car, mine meeting his right before I get inside. I bite down on my tongue.
...
the next day is just as sunny as the previous one when we arrive at the studio where Lila is shooting for her television show. everyone around us is moving in a hurry, the chaos of which I can tell puts Spencer on edge. his attention darts between crew members and the beach setting they're using.
"why is she even working right now?" I lean over and ask Prentiss as we make our way to Lila. she's in a bikini, sitting in a chair while Michael talks to her. as a makeup artist slides a kabuki brush over her cheek, I notice that she seems far more composed than she did last night. she laughs at something he says.
"she said she refuses to be stuck in a hotel room until we find the guy." Emily shrugs. I raise an eyebrow but don't push it further.
Michael leaves her when another woman comes over in a headset and hands Lila an orange envelope. they have a short conversation, but she too disappears quickly. Spencer and Emily and I approach the actress in the chair while she reads the sheet of paper that was in the envelope. her expression changes to something much more concerned.
"Lila." Reid calls to her. she glances up and sees the three of us, smiling weakly.
"Spencer." she says his first name like they're close.
"everything alright, Miss Archer?" Prentiss notices Lila's body language.
"um," she hesitates. "my assistant just said this was posted on my door."
Prentiss takes the paper from her and reads it, then passes it to Reid and me.
"Lila-- I've always been so good to you. why would you go to the police?" is the only thing on it.
my stomach drops. Prentiss and I share a look and I know what she's thinking before she hands the sheet back to Lila. "would we be able to go to your trailer, Miss Archer? Detective Kim is on his way here and it would be better to discuss this in a private space."
she nods and we walk to her trailer. the inside is simple, just a couch, TV, and a vanity that also has a couple framed photos of the actress with friends and family. Spencer and I sit on the couch while Emily stands by the door. Lila has her arms crossed anxiously over her chest, silent, when Kim arrives.
we tell them that based on the wording of the note, the stalker is likely someone she knows. at the idea of stopping her work for a little while, Lila prickles and argues that she only has one more scene to shoot.
the woman who brought her the note earlier pops her head into the trailer and tells Lila they're ready for her on set again. she turns to all of us serenely.
"I'm staying at work." she walks out of the trailer, leaving us sitting there. I notice Spencer's eyes following her with a surprised expression, maybe impressed.
I clear my throat as soon as the door closes behind her. "look, I didn't want to freak her out more, but mentioning the police might mean this guy is altering his agenda."
"what do you mean?" Kim frowns at me.
"she didn't go alone to the police." Emily finishes my thought, the one we shared when we first read the paper. she straightens. "I'm gonna go check in with Michael."
"we'll keep an eye on her." I get off the couch.
"I'll hang back, too." Kim nods.
we end up on the set again, waiting for Prentiss to finish up with the manager while drinking sodas. Lila is at the snack bar in a robe, making herself a cup of coffee.
"I'm gonna go talk to her." Reid tells me. I nod and watch him go in front of one of the enormous cameras, accidentally bumping into one and apologizing profusely.
despite myself, I watch them. she sees him coming and offers a friendly smile. his back is to me, but he's rocking slightly on his toes, his usual poor posture making him look even more awkward. I can practically feel the nervous energy crackling around him.
something twists in my stomach, but I try to brush it aside. I shouldn't be staring. there's not much else for me to do, though. I see her take a sip of the coffee, make a face, and immediately reach for his Coke.
she asks him something, he shakes his head, and she drinks from the bottle. my jaw nearly drops. this time, I can't help gaping at the sight. it only gets worse when she tosses off her robe and walks back onto the set, looking stunning in her bikini. Spencer isn't looking at her at all, but it sets something immaturely evil off inside me.
I toss my Sprite into the trash and go to wait somewhere in this studio that's as far as possible from them. I'm nauseated. I need to keep her in my sight as part of my job, but I'm sure Reid has that covered.

Character Thomas Brodie Sangster
Couple Thomas X Reader
Rating sweet af
Concept my daughter's teacher
I blushed hard sat on my bed Luna fast asleep in her bedroom, I was texting Thomas back and forth as we had been for weeks almost non stop even sending each other little pictures from our days, of our coffee, what we wore today, his paperwork, the garden, all sorts of things back and forth with each other.
How was work today?
Ughhh- I don't even want to begin
Sorry for asking
No no, Thursdays are hard. Got a few of the kids forced to be there so it doesn't make a good environment
Ahhh poor you X
Yeah poor me, atleast I have your sweet messages and pictures to cheer me up X
You like random pictures of my coffee mugs that much?
Ummm I do X plus it reminds me to go refill my own coffee
Maybe I should send you nicer pictures in Thursdays
Well they'd be appreciated X
I should let you get some sleep
It's okay, I don't mind staying up and chatting with you besides I miss you days I'm working I don't get to chat as much
I miss you too, but I just don't want to bother you
Your never a bother y/n X
Your too sweet to me
Well stop being so cute then X
I can't help it
I know you can't, I wanted to ask you something actually
Oh?
You mentioned, Luna is going out tomorrow night? For a sleepover?
Yes why?
I was wondering as she'll be out all night did you wanna maybe go out to dinner with me?
Really?
Absolutely,
I'd love too X
Great, how's about I pick you up at six?
Sounds perfect xx
I sat finishing up at my vanity Luna long at her friends house for the evening, I heard the door so I gave my hair a last minute check and sprayed my perfume before heading down handbag in hand and opening the door
"AHH there you are" Thomas smiled on my doorstep in his black suit and red shirt his jacket on his arm the shirt open to expose his chain as always
"Sorry"
"No worries, I'm happy to wait I'd your going to look that beautiful" he smiled "for you" he smiled moving a hand from behind him revealing a beautiful bouquet of roses
"Awwww there beautiful, thank you very much"
"Your welcome"
"Let me put these in some water and we'll go" I smiled quickly getting them in some water to arrange properly tomorrow "shall we?"
"Absolutely" he smiled offering his hand so I happily took it locking up as he lead me to his car.
It was a wonderful night sitting in a circular booth together laughing and chatting all the while he slowly got closer not that I minded as I did it too we talked about everything and nothing much like we usually did though letters and texts
"I'm really happy I met you y/n"
"I'm really happy I met you too Thomas"
"Did you want to… go out with me again?"
"Absolutely, so long as you wanted to go out with me again"
"I definitely would like to" he smiled giving my cheek a kiss "in fact I your not too busy tomorrow night? I'd love to take you to a movie"
"That would be nice but Luna"
"Of course. Just let me know when your free"
"I will"
"I uhhh I really like you y/n"
"I really like you too Thomas"
"You know, Dan the science teacher at school says that couples often decide within the first few seconds of a date weather or not they want to see the date again and if they can imagine a…relationship with them"
"I think that's true subconsciously at least"
"I think it's true"
"You do?"
"yeah. I think within the first few seconds of meeting you on that parents evening I think I decided I liked you. And wanted you to be my girlfriend"
"You did?'
"Yeah, sorry that probably sounds a little crazy'
"No no, not at all. I think it's sweet" I smiled giving his cheek a kiss "and maybe in a few more little dates I wouldn't mind you being my boyfriend"
"You wouldn't?"
"No"
"Well I'll make sure to plan out those dates then" he smiled
We shared desert and he paid even if I tried to protest and we took a nice slow drove home in the sweet darkness at points I almost fell asleep against his shoulder with his jacket wrapped around me to keep me warm he even walked me to my door
"Here" I said trying to give back his jacket
"Keep it, give it back to me next time"
"If you're sure, it was a wonderful night thank you very much Thomas I had a lovely time"
"I did too. Just let me know when you have a free night and I'll take you out again we'll go see a movie"
"And ill pay this time"
"We'll see" he laughed "well have a nice night y/n"
"You too drive safe Thomas" I smiled
"I'll try, just for you" he smiled back I blushed a little looking at him and he blushed a little too before closing the gap between us pressing his lips to my own I happily kissed back even if all the heat was rushing to my cheeks till we each pulled away "I'll text you in the morning"
"Yeah I'll text you in the morning, bye"
"Bye" he smiled, giving me another kiss before he returned to his car.
I smiled as I woke gently, snuggled with the pillow where I had rested thomas' jacket even though we had been on lots more dates. He wouldn't take it back but it was nice. I liked still having it, especially as it smelt like him. I heard my alarm so I forced myself up and got dressed for today as today was going to be a very important day I made sure I looked pretty and did my usual perfume, I quickly texted him before I hurried downstairs making sure everything was as perfect as it could Luna sat at the table in the conservatory doing some drawings.
"Morning sweetie"
"Morning mama. You seen happy today"
"I am dear. Very happy today" I smiled getting apple for breakfast
"Why are you so happy?"
"Well, we have a guest today" I smiled sitting at the table with her
"A guest?"
"A guest. That mummy likes very much and I think it's important to make sure my little lady likes him too" I smiled "especially your going to be a big thirteen year old this October and you'll be allowed to be at home all by yourself at least during the day"
"So I get to meet your lovely boyfriend"
"We'll be introduced too" I smiled and the door knocked so I rushed over answering it quickly and he stood in his jeans blue button down and his motorbike jacket his helmet in hand
"Hi honey" he smiled giving me a kiss
"Hi, you got here fast?"
"I was only in town, had to pop to the bank" he shurgs
"Alright, coffee?"
"Ohh thank god yes! I'm dying" he says setting his helmet on the side wand his jacket on the usual hook the space I had made for him and his motorbike stuff when he visits
"Alright come on though"
"Psst"
"Yes?" I giggled heading to the kitchen to make coffee
"Where is she?"
"Conservatory"
I made us each a coffee and even made Luna some juice taking them all to the table in the conservatory sitting them in the table she noticed immediately the additional mug across from her so I could sit between them taking my seat and generally indicating for him towards the chair, he nervously came and took the chair across from her and begrudgingly she didn't look up for a few moments, she hadn't met many of my boyfriend's in her life mostly because I haven't had very many but she was never thrilled about it so she sat drawing waiting for him to begin the conversation. But after a minute or two or was obviously he wasn't going to start so she looked up and seemed immediately confused glancing at him, then at me, then back to him
"Hi, Mr Sangster"
"Hi Luna" he smiled
"....why are you in my house?"
"Well your mother invited me"
"Mr Sangster is your boyfriend?" She asks me and I nodded she glared at him a moment deep in her thoughts "okay"
I let out a sigh of relief
"Do you have any stickers with you?"
"I don't sorry Luna."
"Fine. But you can't tell me when to do my homework"
"I'm not going to, I mean I can recommend you do your-"
"No"
"Alright. I accept that as a boundary. And I can't tell you any answers. We have a deal?" He offered his hand to her
"...deal" she agreed giving it a shake "how will this affect school?" She asks
"Well, unfortunately I won't be able to be your English teacher next year but I've made sure you're going somewhere good your going to Mr Brown's class. There will be… information you learn about me that you'll have to keep secret. And I'm not allowed to help you with anything" he explained
"That makes sense, do you like my mama?'
"I do very much"
"Will you be nice to her?'
"I'll do my best'
"Alright, or we will have problems" she says going to get more juice
"I feel very threatened"
"She's twelve?"
"You haven't seen her fight in the yard I have. I am every right to be afraid"
"But you seem to be accepted at least for now"
"For now. I'll have to make sure I look after you"
"You will" I giggled leaning my arm on the table and my chin on my arm
"I'll do my best" he smirked doing the same before leaning in to give me a sweet kiss
"Weird" Luna says from the doorway

local foreigner spends 10 dollars on intricate looking sweets.... perhaps im a sucker, it was a touristy area... hhhh. yea.
more thoughts abt money and just living in taiwan under the cut:
idk. i like wanna be spontaneous and just buy things on the spot when i want them bc i usually end up regretting not buying stuff i want otherwise but also like... money but i also feel like money spent on food is never wasted. but likeeee hh. also i went to tamsui to buy a jean jacket and i ended up with two button up shirts, which i dont regret bc its gonna get warm soon and i like them for layering and theyre just rlly flattering in general but also they were 10 each and i feel like i shouldve tried bargaining but yea. still too timid. there were a lot of nice jackets but like.. hhhh i often don't know how to make the best choice bc again. im not sure what to expect of taiwans weather and idk. like do i buy smth best suited for the rain. smth best suited for the cold, something thats best suited to the US but semi useful here? do i buy one rlly nice jacket and make that like a staple of my wardrobe for a while. like obviously thats the best choice but im bad at making those kinda decisions on purpose. those sorta long use things just kinda happen when i dont realize... like hhhhh. i dont know what i want. i feel like i keep going shopping and lie to myself that its cheap bc it makes me feel like i have more control of my life but I'm just yk. a little lonely also i don't like my appearance. and i don't want to waste the money i saved to be here but like also nothing is wasted and i feel like regardless i can never know unless i do smth and. yea... thats what runs through my mind each day. also i need to come back to tamsui during the daytime... i always come at evening/nighttime and i know it must be nicer in the day when the weather is good. i also feel like i just keep coming back to places im already familiar with which like. i know theres nothing wrong with that. i can always discover new places and theres merit to like knowing one place rlly well and probably once ive been there enough I'll naturally move onto the next place naturally and everything will work out and either way i can always just come back to taiwan but hhhhhh. like there are so many places that i havent gone to that like are Must Dos in Taiwan. but then again, back in the US i lived in LA and didn't go to Santa Monica til i was fucking 19... or go to SF til i was 22. my mind is always cycling through these thoughts each day and i have no one to tell it to bc i cant convey myself fluently in japanese. but i mean even if i could i really don't have the nerve to even try to be candid abt how i feel with my roommates and every time i call my friends i just freeze up and HHHHHH. ITS FINEEEE... im Fineee. i just need to decide what i want rn. abt everything. in good news i finally messaged my friends mom who was rlly nice to me my first week in taiwan and then i subsequently ghosted bc im Awkward. so thats good!!

38 weeks, 5 days.
I’ve been experiencing some light cramping. Usually later into the night when I’m sleeping or lying on my back- could be Braxton Hicks? But I don’t think it’s anything else. I do feel a lot of weight and pressure in my pelvis, lower back, and crotch area which is fun…
I had a fairly busy weekend. Busier than I honestly wanted it to be. Ended up being with plans all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So I’m taking today to rest a bit probably going to take everything now day by day just because I’m really starting to feel exhaustion. This upcoming weekend is Mother’s Day and I have left plans up in the air as I don’t know what kind of state I’ll be in.
Baby girl is still moving a fair amount. I realize she does have two or three days where it’s super active and strong and then on the fourth day tends to be a little quieter throughout the day, but then in the evening picks up again. I’m getting used to her habits I guess. I’m getting anxious to meet her because I still don’t think it’s all real!
The weather is getting nicer, so I really wanna enjoy it even if it’s just been sitting outside and reading a book. Last week was just rain all day every day and then it finally started to change but ever since I’ve been pregnant, I started getting seasonal allergies. Yay. I’ve never had them before and they feel horrible. I’ve opted to not take any medication, like Claritin, I just haven’t taken any sort of meds this whole pregnancy and I figure why start now, but sometimes it’s very tempting with how bad they are.
I’m gonna head out for a walk now to get some fresh air and get my body moving. Tends to help me feel better to.

today was beautiful. i tried to start early for my shift but they didn’t let me, so i worked out instead since i was already up. when i clocked in, i had to send out a work email so the first 15 mins of my shift were spent sitting on my ass, and when i got out to auto, i had to get some stuff figured out in order for me to be officially signed off as a trainer (which included a time-wasting online class)--which took like an hour--and then i helped with odd tasks (like cutting construction paper lmfao) for a good portion of my time until my lunch; i certainly did my part at the attraction but i was chillin. the weather has also been not completely scorching the past few days, which just makes the days so much nicer. after my lunch, i went straight to my star tours refresh class which was just me and one other guy--who is soon going to be leaving attractions to become a manager--and the facilitator just went ahead and signed him off immediately since he’s not going to need that knowledge anymore and he had shit to do as a gso lead. the facilitator and i went over info for like 15 mins and then literally talked about training and just shared wild stories for like an hour. she went back to star tours bc she was the lead and she was just like you can just kinda do whatever until 5:45 when you have to be back at auto lol. so i did d learn that i needed to complete (and a manager walked by with me fully on my phone messaging benny while the video was playing in the background oop) and i ended up going to starbucks before going back to auto for the last part of my shift (plus, i ordered a grande from starbucks but in my own personal venti cup and they filled that shit to the brim!!! like i had to drink some before i could even put the lid on!!!), where i again was chillin AND they gave me a last break even though literally the past 2 hours had been a break for me. it was just one of those days you wanna remember, even though my shift was a shitty mid. it was just one of those smiling days.

Hot. God, it was so hot.
Then again, summer in your part of town always was. But this heat— this heat was different. It surrounded you, pulling perspiration from your pores and clinging to you persistently. It spilled down your throat, filling your lungs with every deep inhale. It robbed you of any and all of your energy, leaving you too tired to rouse yourself from where you lay on the cool tile floor of your kitchen in front of the open fridge (the absolute coldest spot you could find in your entire house).
You didn’t cope very well in warm weather, if that wasn’t obvious.
And, at the cost of your poor housemate’s sanity, you always found new and creative ways to cope with the excruciating rise in temperature,
“Y/n a few of my— how many times do I have to tell you to stop doing that?!” You couldn’t bring yourself to so much as flinch as the fridge door was abruptly slammed shut, only managing to pull a whining complaint from the back of your throat as your only source of cool air was ever so rudely ripped away.
“Fuck you, Mark. It’s too fucking hot to worry about the stupid electricity bill.” You huffed, peeling your eyes open just long enough to shoot an icy glare in the direction of the scowling brunette.
He crossed his arms over his chest stubbornly, lower lip jutting out. “I think you forget that it’s a combination of both of our money going into paying them, so I think that I have a right to worry about how much is coming out of my pocket because you think that laying in front of an open fridge is a good way to ‘beat the heat’.”
“Offer me a better solution, I’m open to suggestions.” You sighed tiredly.
He only rolled his eyes.
“Oh! I’ve got one,” you exclaimed suddenly, clapping your hands together as a gasp of excitement flew from your lips, “How about I just strip down and walk around butt ass naked? That should do the trick! Oh… but little Mark would like that a little too much, wouldn’t he?” You offered him a taunting pout, feigning sympathy as you glanced down unabashedly towards his crotch.
Instinctively, his hands flew to cover himself as his cheeks throbbed a devastatingly obvious shade of red, bright enough to rival even the ripest of tomatoes. “Y–you—”
Your lips curled with an amused smirk, but it faltered at the sound of thundering laughter coming from behind your flustered housemate. Your eyes followed the sound, finding its source in a group of about five or so men crowding up the foyer. Brows lifting in mild surprise, you shifted your attention back to an even more humiliated looking Mark.
“You brought company.” An apology hung at the tip of your tongue. You really tried to keep your pg-13 teasing to a minimum around other people, especially knowing how susceptible Mark could be to his own embarrassment.
“Hey Mark, I thought you said your roommate was a raging asshole with the sex drive of a teenaged boy on viagra? She seems pretty cool to me! And hot.” One of the taller boys chimed, a massive dopey grin plastered across his face.
You turned to Mark slowly, brows raised. But he wouldn’t meet your eyes, head lowered. He wasn’t good at hiding his guilt.
Welp. No apology for ole Marky boy today.
“Please, allow me to properly introduce myself to our company.” Mark's eyebrows jumped all the way to his hairline as you pushed yourself off the floor and tossed an arm around his shoulder. “My name is (y/n), but I suppose Mark's asshole roommate with the sex drive of a teenage boy on viagra could work, too.”
The look you shot him out of the corner of your eye had him shrinking in on himself, regret shining in his big brown eyes. But, you ruffled his hair, a silent reassurance that you weren’t all that torn up about the comment, especially considering it was hard to deny the layer of truth that lingered within it.
You’d probably subjected Mark to more than his fair share of sleepless nights while you were up into the early morning giving the man (or woman) of the night the experience of a lifetime. A few scathing comments to close friends was more than understandable when looked upon in that light. Besides, you were never good at holding a grudge against your sweet, awkward, puppy-eyed housemate.
The tall one that had spoken before chimed in eagerly, “I’m Yukhei, but my friends call me Lucas. Xuxi works, too. Or papi if you're feeling especially— ow!” Lucas yelped loudly as a hand connected to the back of a head with a sharp smack. You watched in amusement as another tall, charming looking man tugged him back, shooting him a warning glare before turning his attention to you.
“Ignore him. He has a bad habit of forgetting his manners around attractive women. My name's Johnny, it’s great to finally meet you.” The sweet, disarming smile he offered you had any reservations melting away, and you easily returned the gesture before he proceeded with introductions. “This Haechan, Jaehyun, Doyoung, and— Taeyong?”
Johnny pivoted around, brief confusion settling across his face before he spotted whoever he’d been looking for. Reaching behind Lucas, he grabbed someone's arm, tugging them into your line of sight.
“And this is Taeyong!” He concluded with a grin, slapping a large hand down on the shorter boy’s shoulder. Taeyong dipped his head shyly, not meeting your eyes as he murmured a soft greeting that you were just barely able to catch. Soft tufts of dirty blonde hair fell over large brown eyes as he bowed politely, the air of meekness unmistakable.
Oh, he’s cute.
Your lips curled into an impish smirk. “Hi, Taeyong.”
A faint blush darkened his cheeks and you caught a hint of a smile upturning the corners of his mouth.
Really cute.
Mark knew you well enough to see the gears beginning to turn in your head and coughed loudly when your stare lingered longer than necessary.
“O-kay, now that you’re all acquainted…” he stepped in swiftly, opting to intervene before you could get any wise ideas about his friend. “We have got a group project to work on and it would be extremely helpful if you’d refrain from providing any distractions. I already have a hard enough time trying to get them to focus for longer than five minutes as is.”
“Aww but I wanna hang out with your hot roommate, Mark.” Lucas whined loudly, practically throwing himself across Mark’s shoulders as the cutest pout you’ve probably ever seen fell across his lips. “She’s got a way nicer ass than any of you guys.”
Doyoung sighed, his face screwing in second hand embarrassment for his friend’s shameless behavior. “Lucas, please.”
“Have some dignity, man.” Haechan huffed additionally and you grinned in amusement as he grabbed the collar of Lucas’s shirt and began tugging him towards the living room.
“Don’t worry, Mark. I’ll stay out of the way. I would hate to hinder your geek fest.” You teased, wrinkling your nose as you stepped past him.
“Thank you, (y/n). I really— wait, Geek f– it’s a project worth thirty percent of our final grade!”
“To-may-to, to-mah-to.” You waved a dismissive hand over your shoulder, before pausing briefly. Spinning on your heels, you turned back to face
the cute boy, who visibly jolted the moment your attention landed on him. “It was very nice meeting you, Taeyong.”
“Y- you, too.” He stuttered sweetly and you had to fight the overwhelming urge to reach over and pinch those adorable pink cheeks. Either pair.
With one last sultry smile, and a wink just to fuck with Mark a little, you sauntered back into your bedroom. Miraculously, you were no longer concerned with the previously unbearable heat plaguing your apartment. Now, you had something —or rather, someone— far more interesting to occupy your mind.
Tumblr media
Taeyong was having a difficult time focusing, which was pretty out of ordinary. He had barely gotten anything done with his assigned part of the project, less than half a page filled out with what little information he managed to collect. Luckily, none of the other guys seemed to notice, too distracted by their own inabilities to focus to take notice of his. Otherwise he would have to concoct some lie. But he wasn’t good at lying. He was a terrible liar, in fact. So he would probably just end up blurting out the truth which was you. You were the reason he couldn’t focus. You with your mischievous eyes and your pretty smile and intoxicating laugh. Mark’s asshole roommate with the sex drive of a teenage boy on viagra.
He’d seen pictures of you before. But they didn’t do you any justice. In pictures, you were pretty. In real life, you were beautiful, charming, witty, sexy, and you winked at him. Girls don’t wink at him. Not ever. But you had. You’d winked and smiled at him and he wasn’t sure if you were just teasing him because he flustered easily or if there was a chance it meant something a little more than that.
… he secretly hoped it meant something a little more than that.
But he shouldn’t be thinking about you right now. He should be thinking about finishing his research. Not your eyes. Not your smile. Not your voice of the way you purred his name and those shivers rushed down his spine and he could have sworn something twitched— okay. That’s enough. He really needed to splash some water in his face, cool down a little before his mind wandered to places it definitely should not.
“Ah— Mark?”
The younger boy lifted his head, brows raising. “’Sup?”
“Where’s the bathroom?”
He perked, tipping his chin forward. “Oh, it’s to the right of the k— shit, wait. That toilet’s busted. Um, just use the one in my room. It’s at the end of the hall.”
“Thanks,” Taeyong pushed himself up with a soft grunt, nearly tripping over Yukhei’s long legs as he maneuvered himself around the cluttered coffee table, “I’ll be right back.”
None of the other guys took much notice of how quickly he rushed out of the room, much to Taeyong’s relief. He let out a low breath the moment he turned the corner and found himself in a vacant hallway, but that relief was short lived.
Mark had only said that his room was at the end of the hall. But, there were two doors at the end of the hall. Meaning one of them could possibly lead to your room. And you were in your room. Which meant if he walked through the wrong door on accident… he could walk in on you. Oh god. Heat rushed into his cheeks at the mere thought of such a humiliating occurrence. For a moment, he debated turning on his heels and returning to the living room.
But, he wasn’t ready to go back to studying just yet. He was still feeling flushed and antsy and needed another moment or two to himself. Plus… he was actually starting to need to pee a little. Damn him and his tiny bladder.
Hesitating, he gently knocked on the door on the right side of the hall then waited ten seconds. No response. Just to be extra certain, he knocked twice more before finally turning the knob. Cautiously, he peeked his head inside. The black out curtains were drawn tight so the room was dark, too dark to make out anything defining outside of the vague shape of a bed and dresser tucked into the far corner. It took a few minutes of stumbling blindly through the inky blackness, tripping over clothes and extension wires until he found what he hoped to be the bathroom door.
Without too much of a second thought, he opened the door.
Then he froze.
He thought it was Mark’s room. He really did. He thought he was tripping over Mark’s clothes and Mark’s wires. Though, he probably should have noticed the light coming out from beneath the bathroom door, indicating that someone might be inside. Or maybe he did but ignored it because– because maybe Mark just left the light on. That could have happened. That totally could have happened.
But it didn’t.
Because it wasn’t Mark’s room. Those weren’t his clothes or his wires and he didn’t leave the light on.
He realized this all too late of course. Because now he was staring at you. You who was wet and naked and… wet and naked. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t think. He could only stare, dumbstruck, mind short circuiting as billowing steam curled around the shape of your body like an iridescent veil, beautiful skin glistening under the soft golden light. Your head was tipped back, lips slightly parted, hands soothing your slick hair out of your face as the hot water cascading down the swells of your
breasts and over the curves of your shoulders.
It was like watching something out of a pornographic shampoo commercial.
“Oh—” it was somewhere between a whine and gasp, strangled and broken by the time it escaped his trembling lips. It was so quiet, you shouldn’t have been able to hear it over the hiss of water. So it took him off guard when your eyes opened and flicked in his direction.
He flinched, body jolting backwards like it intended to make a break for it, but it was like your stare locked him into place. His brain was screaming at him to do something; to move, to  turn away, close his eyes, apologize, bash his head against the freaking wall, literally anything but stand there staring at you with his mouth open like a complete idiot. But he couldn’t.
The corner of your mouth curled, forming into a downright devilish smirk that sent hot tendrils of desire spiraling through his veins. Then you quirked a brow and it was like a burst of electricity bringing him back to life. His hands flew up from where they’d been frozen at his sides, slapping so hard over his eyes that he yelped in shock at the sting.
“Ohmygod I- I am so sorry! I am so—” he whirled around, spewing high pitched apologies as he scrambled for the door. Only, his eyes were closed so instead of bolting out the door he face planted into the wall next to the door. “Ow!”
Your low laughter rippled through the small bathroom and red hot embarrassment raced up his neck and into his face. He could only whimper out one finally strained apology as he clutched his throbbing nose and stumbled back into the darkness of your bedroom, slamming the door sharply behind him.
By the time he’d managed to scramble back into the hall, Taeyong felt like he was on fire. His heart was beating wildly in his chest and he was certain if he dared to look in a mirror he’d be the equivalent of a tomato.
Humiliation gripped at his throat, squeezing painfully around his airway every time he recalled the previous events. He’d never be able to face you again. Not after that train wreck. Not ever. Groaning distraughtly, he sank against the wall, silently wishing that the floor would just swallow him up and put an end to his suffering.
But, there was something worse than the embarrassment. Something hotter and harder, throbbing shamelessly in the confines of his suddenly far too jeans. He saw you naked— wet and naked, looking like a freaking goddess beneath the stream of hot water, soap suds still clinging to your skin. He had never seen a woman like that before. Not in person, at least. And none as beautiful as you.
Biting his lip, he squeezed his legs together, trying his best to will away his progressively hardening erection. That, of course, did not work. And it didn’t help in the slightest that every time he so much as blinked, the image of you in the shower came rushing to the forefront of his mind, still fresh and vivid and devastating.
Oh god. There was no was no way he could go back to working on the project now. If he thought he was being unproductive before— he probably wouldn’t be able to get a single legible word written with the image of you and your body burned into the back of his eyelids.
He was doomed.
And he still needed to pee.
Damnit.
Tumblr media
It was about nine at night when the low voices transformed into booming laughter, the walls practically vibrating under the barrage of stomping feet. It didn’t take a genius to deduce that they’d finished up on their project— either that or they mutually reached the end of their attention spans.
Regardless, you were bored of remaining cooped up in your bedroom merely for the sake of your roommate’s econ grade and needed to stretch your legs a bit. Not to mention you were beginning to crave something greasy and unhealthy. You were almost certain the group of college boys lounging in your living room wouldn’t be opposed to some pizza, fries, and milkshakes from your favorite delivery place.
“I don’t know about you boys but I’m starving!” You sang brightly as you all but skipped into the room. All eyes swung to you, wide and stunned as they watched you waltz over to where Mark sat in the love seat and throw yourself into his lap like it was the most normal thing in the world. He grunted under your weight, lip curling in annoyance but wrapped his arms securely around your stomach nonetheless. You pretended not to notice the lingering eyes of one particular boy, meticulously curled into the farthest corner of the couch. “Anyone down to order?”
“Ugh please!” Yukhei exclaimed, throwing his head back dramatically. “I am dying of hunger.”
The others were eager to voice their own agreement and you turned to Mark with an expectant smile. “Rubio’s?” He asked, already reaching for his phone.
“Read my mind.” You hummed, pinching his cheek until he hissed and swatted you away.
It was nothing short of chaos trying to get everyone’s orders, multiple overlapping voices making it hard to discern exactly who was asking for what, but somehow Mark managed to place all of the requests with only a handful of difficulties. Well, all but one.
“Taeyong.”
The boy’s head jerked up so fast at the sound of his name that you were surprised you hadn’t heard something crack. Up until then he’d been sitting quietly with his knees to his chest, staring at his feet, pointedly avoiding looking in your general direction. He could only hold your gaze for a few tense seconds before his cheeks flamed and he dropped his eyes.
“I– uh– y- yes?” He coughed, blinking hard.
You tilted your head, offering him an innocent smile. “Is there anything you’d like to eat?” You couldn’t stop yourself from adding an unnecessarily suggestive pitch to the question, words dancing wickedly across your tongue.
Taeyong swallowed and pulled his knees tighter to his chest. “I– I’ll just have some of the- the pizza.” The words tumbled clumsily out of his mouth and your grin only widened as he became more and more flustered under the heat of your persistent stare.
“Perfect. Then we can share.”
The poor boy nearly choked on air when you abruptly pushed yourself off of Mark and sauntered over to where he sat, squeezing in between him and an eager Yukhei, who was more than happy to make room for you. His entire body went rigid, brief panic shooting across his features as you made yourself comfortable. It was tight with Jaehyun, Lucas, Taeyong and now you all squished onto the couch, so you were practically flush against him, shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh. You pretended not to notice that he was holding his breath.
“Thirty minutes.” Mark announced, shutting off his phone and shoving it back into his pocket.
“What should we do while we wait?” Jaehyun asked, ignoring Yukhei as he whined about how he’d be dead of starvation before the food even arrived.
“Movie?” Haechan suggested.
You perked. “I know a good one.”
“No— no.” Mark cut in quickly, pointing a finger with the intention to reprimand in your direction. “Every time you pick a movie it’s either fucked up or really fucked up. So no.”
“Don’t be a pussy, Mark.” You huffed, wrinkling your nose at him. “Just because you don’t like horror movies doesn’t mean your friends don’t.”
“I, for one, love a good horror movie!” Yukhei remarked, a smug grin breaking across his lips as he shot a flirtatious wink in your direction.
Haechan scoffed. “Bullshit! You couldn’t sleep alone for a week after we watched The Shining. And that wasn’t even scary!”
“There was a tidal wave of blood.” He grumbled defensively, crossing his arms over his chest as he slumped, lower lip jutting out dramatically.
“No tidal wave of blood is this one, promise.” You snickered, snatching the remote from the cluttered coffee table and switching on the television. It only took a few minutes of browsing through Netflix before you finally located the movie you’d saved to your watch list a few weeks ago but had never gotten the chance to watch.
Marked hopped up to flick off the lights as you pressed play, any excited or nervous murmurs coming to a halt as the opening credits rolled across the screen. Beside you, Taeyong tensed, squeezing his legs even tighter to his chest. You glanced at him from the corner of your eye, not missing the nervous way he gnawed at his lower lip even in the darkness.
“Not good with horror movies?” You hummed, nudging his knee. He flinched in surprise, eyes shooting over to meet yours before he quickly diverted his attention back to the screen.
“No, not– not really.” He admitted weakly, clearing his throat.
A playful smirk twirled onto your lips and you subtly leaned into him, whispering near his ear, “you can hold my hand if you get scared.”
A fierce blush consumed his cheeks, illuminated by the soft grey light of the television. “I– I’ll be okay.” He coughed when his voice cracked and you chuckled under your breath, opting to cut the poor boy some slack… for now.
The movie progressed with the usual eerie start before transitioning into something lighter, though the low hum of anticipation-building music never ceased. Even if at some point it became rather repetitive, you thoroughly enjoyed a good horror movie. Most of the time, they failed to meet expectations and you left feeling rather disappointed that your stomach hadn’t leapt into your throat any point throughout the film. However, every once in a while, you were pleasantly surprised.
Now, was not one of those times.
Boredom quickly settled over you as the plot developed, revealing itself to be almost identical to a number of horror movies you’d watched in the past. You slumped back in your seat, a subtle scowl staining your lips. But then… inspiration. Devious, unquestionably self indulgent inspiration that risked putting a certain someone in a possibly very awkward (but also very delightful) position.
The slow slide of your eyes from the television over to the boy seated at your left revealed that not everyone found the movie to be boring and repetitive. Taeyong was practically trembling. He had both of his hands over his face, wide, uncertain eyes peeking out timidly from between his index and middle fingers.
You had to sink your teeth into your lip in order to subdue the large grin threatening to break across your face.
Fuck, he’s too adorable.
Unable to resist, you allowed a curious hand to wander towards his leg. With a brush so subtle it could’ve been mistaken for a breeze, you traced a finger over the seam of his pants. But, with his senses on high alert, it wasn’t a sensation he missed. He jolted violently, head swinging in your direction. There was fear in his eyes, but it quickly melted into relief else once he realized it was you and not some demon.
Then his eyes drifted to where your finger lingered, hovering over his clothed thigh, and the relief transformed into something else entirely. Something hot and shameful and desperate, something he tried to hide behind frantically fluttering eyelids and quivering lips. But it was unmistakable.
You lifted your brows, a silent question swirling in your gaze. He swallowed, breath coming out in quick, shallow huffs as the unnameable emotion thickened inside of him, then he nudged his leg shyly towards you. The air you didn’t realize you were holding in your lungs rushed out in one quick exhale, a subtle smirk curling onto your lips as excitement swirled in your gut. Taeyong sucked his lower lip into his mouth as your open palm landed boldly on his lower thigh, fingers pressing gently into the clothed muscle just above his knee.
For a few minutes, it remained there, not moving any lower or any high, simply resting on his leg and he found himself relaxing beneath your touch. The heat of your hand was a welcome –comforting, even– distraction from the horror movie that had progressed to the point in the plot where the reckless characters put themselves directly into the line of danger instead of taking the intelligent path that would help them avoid it all together. You could feel the tension returning to Taeyong’s muscles as suspense building music poured from the surround sound speakers.
In a two sided attempt to both comfort and tease, you began gently massaging his thigh. His breath audibly hitched, gaze straying from the screen once more in favor of watching the slow, deliberate motion of your fingers squeezing around his leg. That alone was enough to set his long neglected desire to flames. It burned within him, hot and dangerous, turning his face a dark, flattering crimson.
It was too much. He’d never been touched like this before. You weren’t even close to his crotch and he could still feel the distinctive hardening beneath the zipper of his jeans which were growing tighter and tighter with every passing moment. At this rate, he’d make a mess of himself before the movie even reached its climax.
The mere thought of coming untouched was enough to make his head feel dizzy, a mixture of humiliation and heady lust licking at his nerves.
He couldn’t believe he was feeling this way, in a room full of his friends no less. If one of them were to look over, even through darkness, it would be impossible to miss your hand laid across his lap or the feverish blush coating his face, illuminated by the dull light of the tv.
Then, your hand shifted higher. It was a minute movement, couldn’t have been more than an inch or two. But it had his pulse spiking in his veins nonetheless, blood rushing downward. You gripped gently at the inside of his slim thigh, thumb tracing slow, calculated circles into the rough material of his jeans. He trembled beneath the teasing ministrations, jaw clenched to fight back the urge to moan as your curious touch wandered upwards once more.
“Is this alright?”
The question came unexpectedly, a sudden rush of warm breath hitting the curve of his throat. He sucked his lips into his mouth, shivering faintly at the low, rough sound of your voice, just quiet enough that none of the other men in the room could make it out.
He offered a sharp, jerky nod, desperately heaving in deep breath through his nose. The corner of your mouth curled.
“God you're shaking. Are you that sensitive? Or do you just get off on getting felt up in front of all your friends? How naughty.” You chuckled tauntingly, words borderline malicious.
“I– I don’t— I’m not—” he swallowed, shaking his head frantically in denial of your words, despite the flames they ignited inside of him.
“I think you are.” You purred, tracing your index finger lightly over his prominent bulge, eliciting a strangled moan from his trembling lips. He was fortunate enough that at the very moment the sound escaped, some ditzy bimbo began screaming her lungs out in the movie. Still, he slapped a hand over his offending lips, looking around frantically to see if anyone had heard his slip up. Luckily enough, it seemed they hadn’t.
This was payback, he realized abruptly, this was payback for walking in on you showering.
But even if it was—
It felt too damn good.
His head tipped back, hand surging to cover his burning face and stifle his whimpers as you suddenly gripped firmly at his clothed length. A low, appreciative hum thrummed through your chest as you felt him twitch, delighting in just how responsive he was to your touch. His thighs squeezed together, hips shuddering upwards as you mapped him out.
The urge to set your teeth upon his neck was almost overwhelming, but you resisted only because it might draw some attention from the room’s other, currently oblivious, occupants. You doubted Yukhei would miss it, even if he was desperately hiding his eyes behind those astoundingly massive hands.
But shit was it tempting.
His pretty porcelain skin would look so good painted in varying shades of pink and red. So sweet and pure… you wanted to taint him.
He couldn’t stop moving now, squirming and quivering in place. He was unraveling right before your eyes, and you were devouring it. What a sight…
Warmth stirred in your belly, and you rolled your palm down. He jolted violently, then in the next second he was up on his feet. It happened so quickly that you nearly fell over, just barely catching yourself from falling into the spot he previously occupied. Yukhei shrieked in shock, throwing himself directly into Jaehyun’s lap.
“Fuck, Taeyong! You almost gave me a heart attack!” Haechan shrilled, clutching a pillow against his chest. Instead of responding, Taeyong jerked forward, the movement sharp and robotic, like his body wasn’t quite caught up to his brain.
“What are you doing?” Doyoung asked, squinting at him through the darkness. “And why do you look so—”
“B- B- Bathroom!” Taeyong squeaked out abruptly. You could only watch with wide eyes and gaping lips as he proceeded to run out of the living room like his ass was on fire.
“Movie must’ve freaked him out.” Johnny muttered.
“It’s not even that bad.” Yukhei scoffed in a voice too high pitched for his words to sound believable, grunting when Jaehyun shoved him off of his lap. Noisy banter was quick ensue. Noisy and distracting enough for you to make a quick and silent escape without catching any of the other boys’ attention.
“Taeyong?” You called softly, worry churning in your gut that you overstepped or upset him. “Tae, I’m sorry if I—” you gasped, words cutting off in your throat as a hand found your wrist and you were quickly tugged around the corner and into the unlit hallway.
The motion was so unexpected you ended up tripping over your own feet, having to slam a hand against the wall to steady yourself. But it was only when you felt a rush of quick, warm breath against your face that you realized the position you’d gotten yourself into. Taeyong was standing in front of you, face flushed a feverish shade of red, faint perspiration glistening on his skin, and he was standing with his spine flush against the wall, effectively caged in by your body. And he was looking at you.
Really looking at you.
With the kind of eyes that had something tightening deliciously in the pit of your stomach, chills of excitement ricocheting through your veins.
“Tae?” His name was less than a breath on your lips, laced with an unspoken question. He sucked his lower lip into his mouth, fluttering gaze dancing across your face.
“I almost…” he swallowed, shivering voice tapering off as he became overwhelmed by the proximity. He could smell your shampoo, a subtle, smoky-vanilla kind of scent that made his head feel dizzy. “I almost c- came.”
The corner of your mouth swirled, both amused and charmed by the way he whispered the word, tone so innocent and shy that the filthy meaning behind it almost became misconstrued in your head.
“Do you want to come, Taeyong?” You asked quietly, jutting a knee forward to press between his thighs. He gasped, trembling lips silently caressing the shape of your name as his hands shot forward, clutching desperately onto the sides of your shirt. A shy nod was all he could muster, the words feeling far too dirty to say aloud. But you weren’t satisfied.
“Say it.” You murmured, nose brushing against his. His breath hitched at the command, warmth flushing through his veins beneath the staggering heat of your dark, hooded gaze. “If you want it, say it. If you don’t, tell me now.”
“I want it!” He said quickly, only to flush and shrink in on himself, taken aback by his own outburst. Licking his lips, he repeated himself in a much softer voice, “I– I want it.”
You let out a low hum, curving a gentle hand around his jaw. “Can I kiss you?”
A shock ran through his body, his wide eyes snapping down to trace to soft lines of your mouth. “Yes.” He breathed, suddenly desperate for a taste of your lips. You didn’t deny him.
The first brush of your lips against his is light, delicate… teasing. It made his knees tremble, fierce anticipation and wild desire running rampant through him. He opened up for you like a goddamn flower in bloom, melting sweetly when you applied even the slightest bit more pressure. His mouth was soft and warm, his kiss shy. And there was something ever so endearing about the way he clutched at your top like it was the only thing keeping him upright.
You kept the pace deliberately slow, relishing in the soft moans that fluttered from his chest as you sucked his lower lip into your mouth, gently sinking your teeth into the sensitive flesh. He was wracked by a violent full body shiver when you licked over the seam of his lip.
God he’s adorable.
His strong reactions made you wonder if he’d ever been kissed like this before. Or, perhaps, this was a new experience entirely.
“Taeyong.” He whimpered when you abruptly broke away from the kiss, but you ignored it. “Are you a virgin?”
His eyes widened, a deep red flooding his cheeks. Then, he nodded, gaze dropping to the floor as the tips of his ears darkened.
Wicked excitement curled in your gut, heat licking at your veins at the thought of being the first to corrupt such a sweet… innocent…
“Have you ever been touched before?”
He shook his head, chest pressing against your with every jagged inhale he drew into his lungs.
You dipped a hand between your bodies, trailing teasingly down his stomach. “Would you like to be touched?” Your voice had dropped at least an octave, a low, rasping whisper that nearly made him keen.
“Yes.” A devious grin settled across your lips at the quickness of his reply. Didn’t even need to think that one over, huh?
You slid your hand over his crotch, feeling his hips buck uncontrollably when you squeezed. “Just looking at you,” you began, toying with his zipper, “I never would’ve guessed what a little slut you are.”
“I- I’m not a slut.” He whimpered, digging his fingers into your waist.
“Aren’t you, though?” You popped the button of his jeans. “I mean, take a good look at yourself, Yongie; letting yourself get felt up and teased by your best friend’s roommate while they’re just in the next room over. Seems pretty slutty to me.”
Taeyong couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped his chest at the degrading word, his cock twitching within the confines of his boxers. Slipping a finger beneath the elastic, you tugged it away from his skin, letting out a playful coo when his weeping pink tip peeked out. The blush on his face intensified tenfold, both of his hands dropping down instinctively to cover himself. But you were faster, snatching his wrists and pinning them against the wall on either side of his head.
“Don’t even think about it.”
Shivering, he offered a compliant nod.
“Good boy.”
He barely had time to form a reaction to the praise before he felt you around him, stroking and caressing. The responding moan that burst from his lips was loud— too loud. You were quick to cover his gaping mouth, successfully muffling the series of succeeding gasps and whimpers.
“Careful, sweetheart,” you clicked your tongue, watching the way his eyes fluttered and rolled as you tightened your grip around his cock, “you wouldn’t want your hyungs to find out what a little slut you’re being, now would you? Mark was so kind, inviting you into his home… How do you think he’d feel if he were to see you taking advantage of his hospitality, getting your pretty little cock played with by his roommate? How shameless...”
Taeyong whimpered, and you felt the gentle press of his lips against your palm, followed by a meek flick of his tongue. He was looking at you now, really looking at you, with the kind of pathetic, wanting eyes that never failed to make your skin burn in excitement. You wondered if you could make him cry, overwhelm him with pleasure to the point where he couldn’t keep his emotions at bay. The desire to ruin him was almost unbearable.
Swirling your thumb over his tip, you slotted a leg between his, pressing up against him from underneath. He nearly keened at the pressure, hips rolling greedily over your thigh, simultaneously pumping his cock into your closed fist. Heaven, this must be heaven. Honestly, you hadn’t expected him to succumb to his desires so readily, with such… enthusiasm. But this Taeyong surprised you at every turn. You’d thought he’d be shy, reserved, hesitant to give in, but here he was, riding your thigh and fucking your hand like his life depended on it, his muffled moans pulsing beneath your palm.
It’d be a flat out lie to say you weren’t beyond turned on.
There was a slick warmth building between your thighs, soaking into the fabric of your underwear, and tight knots in your stomach, threatening to burst at any given moment. The knowledge that less than thirty feet away, your roommate and all his friends were gathered and one stray moan from the crumbling man before you could give away all the filthy things you were doing to him stroked the lustful flames blazing through your blood. One glimpse into those hooded, glassy brown eyes told you he was suffering from a similar burn.
“Turn around.” You demanded, somewhat breathless as you tore your hands off of him. A low whimper escaped past trembling lips at the loss of stimulation, a shiver rippling down his spine as his hard, abandoned cock swung through empty air. Regardless, he was quick to comply, spinning himself around and pressing his palms flat against the wall. You hummed a praise, pleased with his eager compliance, rewarding him with your touch. He gasped, forced to sink his teeth into his lip to stifle his whimpers as your hands slipped over his body: one returning to stroke his dick while the other pushed beneath the material of his top, venturing up to his chest where your fingers set to toying with his sensitive nipples.
“(y/n)—” he moaned your name desperately, rocking his body back against yours as overwhelming pleasure pulsed through his veins.
“Easy, sweetheart,” you chuckled darkly, splaying a steadying palm across his hips as they began grinding back into yours, “you sound like you're about to burst.”
He moaned, shuddering when you caressed his sensitive tip, and an idea struck you.
“Can you do something for me, Tae?” You asked, voice a low, rasping against the shell of his ear. “Can you suck?”
Any short lived confusion dissipated from his mind when he felt your fingers nudging at the soft flesh of his lips. A deep blush flooded into his cheeks, but his mouth opened nonetheless, shyly taking your digits inside.
“There you go…” you purred, feeling his tongue lick delicately at the pads of your middle and ring finger. He sucked, and you lowered your head to press slow, encouraging kisses laced with whispered praises to the juncture of his throat. You felt the soft vibrations of his muffled moans quivering through your knuckles and against your lips. He was shaking, the stimulation to his cock causing violent tremors to wrack his body. He wasn’t far off from release, you could tell as much by the way he was twitching and the slow increase in volume of his sounds.
But you weren’t finished yet.
Not by a long shot.
You pulled your fingers from his mouth, the suction of his lips giving with a lewd, wet pop. A filthy sound coming from such innocent lips.
Leaning forward, you nipped gently at the shell of his red tinted ear, hand releasing his dick in favor of venturing beneath the hem of his pants. You heard his breath hitched and offered quietly, “Tell me if you want me to stop.”
Taeyong nodded in understanding, but offered no resistance as you pushed the thick denim down over the soft curve of his ass. His shoulders jumped, a gasp shooting from his lips when you slid a saliva soaked finger between his cheeks, coming to the abrupt realization of what your intentions were.
“O– oh—”
“Is this alright?”
He swallowed, glancing back at you from over his shoulder. “I– I’ve never…”
You soothed a hand down the front of his thigh, “it’s okay if you don’t want to.”
There was no judgement in your tone, rather a gentleness to the reassurance that put his buzzing nerves at ease. “That’s not it,” he shook his head, gnawing at the corner of his lip as a soft pink crept across his cheeks, “j– just…”
“Just?”
Taeyong drew in a deep, trembling breath. Your furrowed brows shot to your hairline, heat twisting in your gut as he suddenly bent himself over, sticking his ass out, practically fucking presenting himself to you. “B- be gentle…” he whispered shyly, hiding his face in the crook of his elbow.
Steam would surely start coming out of your nose if your temperature rose any further. This is fucking ridiculous. How was it possible for a man to be so cute yet so sexy all at once? This couldn’t be good for your health…
Smirking deviously, you settled a palm between his shoulder blades, pressing down ever so slightly and watching as he delicately arched his spine. “I’m always gentle.”
A hiccuping moan rushed from his chest at the first careful press of your finger, his brows furrowing deeply as his muscles tightened in response to the foreign stretch.
“Relax, sweetheart.” You reminded lightly, settling soothing kisses across his shoulder. He drew in a series of deep breaths, allowing himself to adjust to the sensation of having something inside of him while melting into the tender caress of your cool lips across his feverish skin. You felt the slow dissipation of tension, felt the way he melted beneath you. “There you go…” you cooed, easing into him until your knuckle before allowing him a few moments to adjust.
He was panting, forehead thudding softly against the wall as his hips trembled, a strange but not unpleasant feeling sparking to life inside of him.
“Oh…” it was a barely audible sound, soft and breathless of shuddering lips. But you didn’t miss it, didn’t miss the way his shoulders drooped, his walls tight relaxing ever so faintly around the intruding digit. The corner of your mouth curled upwards in a salacious smirk, and you curled your finger experimentally.
His reaction was instantaneous, a moan of surprise entwined with unexpected pleasure rushing from his flush throat. He glanced back at you from over his shoulder, eyes wide and trembling, hazy with an emotion you immediately recognized as pure, unfiltered lust. Your grin widened, almost triumphant as you whispered, “feel that?”
He nodded rapidly, a gasp of breath wracking his chest. “Yes,” his hands were curling into fists where they were braced against the plaster wall.
“Wanna feel it again?”
The sound he let out was a combination of several things, keening and desperate for the sensation he’d never before experienced. “Please. Please.”
It was impossible to say anything but yes when he begged like that.
You rewarded him by stretching him out around a second finger, his knees nearly giving out when you thrust them in as deep as they would go. He was an absolute mess, forced to slap a quivering hand over his gaping mouth when his teeth proved insufficient at keeping his sounds in. You were enjoying yourself perhaps a little too much, enjoying watching him slowly crumble, enjoying watching his innocence shatter into tiny irreparable pieces on the floor beside glistening drops of precum. He was just too irresistible…
“You’re about to come, aren’t you?” He was nodding before you even finished the question, muffled moans and sobs escaping through his fingers as he fucked himself back onto yours. You curve a hand around the shape of his jaw, tugging his head back at an angle that surely causes a strain in his neck, and slot your lips into his. Shoving your tongue down his throat proves a far more efficient means of keeping him quiet.
But when you curled your fingers inside of him, subsequently stroking that sensitive bundle of nerves, even your mouth wasn’t enough to stifle the shriek of pleasure that burst from his throat. You were hoping the screams you heard emulating from the other room were enough to drown it out.
“Keep your voice down.” You all but snarled, curling a hand around his throat.
“I- I can’t— oh god, it feels so g- good.” He babbled, voice strained from the sheer effort of trying to keep himself from crying out in bliss. “I’m g- gonna come— I’m gonna c- come—” the sound of him choking on his words, gasping for breath around the added resistance of your restricting hold was even hotter than you imagined it would be.
“Gone on, sweetheart. Let me see you make a mess of yourself.” You kissed the shell of his ear, deciding then to have mercy and offer his pathetic, weeping cock a helping hand. He was finished the moment your fingers grazed his tip, struck with an orgasm so powerful it had his knees buckling beneath the weight of his quivering body.
His jaw when slack, unleashing every pent up sound he’d managed to keep bottled up thus far. They came rushing out of him too quickly to stop, not that you made much of an effort. You were enjoying the way he was moaning your name like it was his saving grace far too much to care whether or not the other boys were hearing. In fact, the thought of them hearing their sweet, innocent Taeyong whimpering like a bitch in heat, moaning your name, gave you an unexpected rush of delight.
You didn’t stop fucking your fingers into his tight little hole until you were certain you’d milked him for all he was worth, until he was reduced to little more than a trembling, whimpering mess against your chest, barely able to keep himself upright.
“Oh my g- god.” He murmured shakily, head falling back to rest on your shoulder.
A low chuckle slid from your lips as you gently released his spent cock, simultaneously pulling out of him. He winced faintly, whining weakly at the unpleasant emptiness that ensued.
“That felt pretty good didn’t it?” You teased.
He bit his lip, humming airily as he melted into your hold.
“You’re a good boy, aren’t you, Taeyong?” Your words danced over the curve of his throat, flooding his senses with the fluttering implication. Blushing, he nodded, a shy bob of his head that caused the sweat soaked fringes of his bangs to fall over his eyes, clinging delicately to his pretty eyelashes. “Words?”
“I—” he swallowed, gaze flitting as his face reddened further, “I’m a g- good boy.”
You mouth curled deviously. Holding your come covered hand up to his panting mouth, you whispered against the shell of his ear, “good boys clean up their mess.”
His breath hitched, wide eyes jumping over to meet yours. You held his gaze boldly, cocking an expectant brow. Then, ever so lightly, his tongue dipped out from between red bitten lips, kitten licking his come from your fingertips. You could’ve come right then and there, watching him shyly lap his own release from your hand. Honestly you would’ve been happy to stay like that all night, his tongue tracing the lines of your palm, caressing your knuckles…
But then the doorbell rang, and someone cleared their throat in the other room.
“Uh… foods here.”
Taeyong leapt away from you with a gasp, flushing deeply as his hands flew to tuck himself back into his jeans.
“D- do you think they—” his voice cracked and he coughed as crimson crept up his neck.
You smirked, not in the least bit ashamed.
“Oh, definitely.”
A/N; well i dropped off the face of the earth, sorry about that loves. but i think you’ll be happy to know that i have a number of wip sitting in drafts, should i tease the banners?

counting to 100. 🍒
For @tonystarkbingo | Fill: Peter Parker/Spider-Man For @peterparkerbingo | Fill: Villain Redemption The one where the Superior Iron Man finds himself having a soft spot for Little!Peter who regresses after a stressful day as Spider-Man. READ ON AO3
The first time Peter saw him, it was when he was out on patrol.
He remembered hiding behind the line of hedges on the penthouse rooftop, stilling his breath like he was terrified that he could hear him. He remembered letting out a little gasp when the— the thing—armour?—wrapped around his body, enveloping him like a snake slithering up his torso, and remembered the way his blue gaze had snapped to his hiding spot. He’d known he’d given himself away that night.
But the Superior hadn’t done anything; his gaze lingered on Peter for a few moments before he disappeared, leaving behind a trail of dust as he shot off.
The second time Peter saw him, it was when he was sitting on the curbside of the empty playground, humming under his breath as he traced the alphabet into the sand. He’d had a rough day, and he could feel the familiar haze of warmth and safety and softness approaching him when he was interrupted by a set of sharp, clean black shoes at the corner of his vision. He jumped to his feet and stared with wide eyes. It was 4 in the morning; no one ever came to this area by now.
But this was the Superior, and he played by his own rules.
Peter’s chest tightened with fear and he stammered, “I— ‘m not—”
“You’re young,” the Superior noted, and Peter fell silent, wringing his mask in his hands.
Then, he looked down and gasped. His mask! He was— he wasn’t supposed to let anyone see— he tried to yank it back onto his face but a silver tendril shot out and wrapped around his wrist, making him choke on another gasp. “Please,” Peter whimpered.
“So fearful, little one. What scares you this way?”
And that— that was just a ridiculous question. The Superior was scaring Peter, and there was no way he didn’t know that. Peter knew who the Superior was, knew what he could do, but he was little right now, and fear only made him feel smaller by the second.
“I don’t—” A pitiful noise escaped Peter’s throat again, and the tendril retreated to hover over the letters scrawled into the sand. Peter followed the movement with his gaze. He’d stopped at ‘P.’
Then, the Superior wrote, slowly: ‘Q.’
Peter’s lips parted in surprise.
“What comes next, little one?”
Peter’s gaze jumped back to his face, and the armour melted away like a melting snowman. The Superior raised his eyebrows, and Peter bit his lip, then said softly, “R.”
The Superior’s lips quirked into a small smile. “That’s correct. Smart thing, aren’t you?”
Peter felt his cheeks tinting with warmth, and he ducked his head. The warm, fuzzy feeling was approaching his vision again, strong this time, even though deep down, somewhere in his brain, he knew he should be making an excuse, should be trying to put some distance between them, and get home safely.
But thoughts were hard. It was like trying to swim in mud. Fuzzy mud. And Peter wasn’t a caterpillar.
So, he looked down at the sand, bent down, and wrote ‘R.’ Then, he looked up at the Superior, who nodded, and he wrote ‘S,’ then ‘T’ and ‘U.’ He continued until he reached ‘Z,’ where he ended it off by drawing a little heart.
“‘m done,” he said softly, looking up at the Superior.
The man had his hands tucked into his pockets, and he gave Peter an impressed look, drawling, “Look how smart you are. Now can you count to 100?”
Peter blinked, and said uncertainly, “‘s— ‘s a big number.”
The Superior’s lips tugged into a smile, eyes crinkling the slightest bit. “It is, isn’t it?” Then, he turned his head, like he was concentrating on something far away, and Peter got on his tip-toes to try to see too. Except he didn’t see anything but the dark, black sky.
Then, the Superior said, “Practice your numbers, little one,” before the armour covered him in a shimmering case of silver. He was gone within moments, leaving Peter standing there with nothing but the English alphabet etched into the sand.
--- --- ---
For some inexplicable reason, Peter found himself back at the playground again the next day. Someone had erased the alphabet, but he wasn’t upset. He could start again.
The weather was getting colder now. He’d have to bring a jacket or something to wear over his suit when he was done patrolling. He always got a little more chilly when he was slipping into that safe space too, like he was being poked by icicles.
He was sitting on the swings when the Superior arrived, as if they’d planned a rendezvous.
He looked up, surprised. The first day had been a coincidence, this was not.
The Superior was silent as the armour melted away, and Peter fidgeted nervously before squeaking out, “Hi.”
The Superior lifted a poised eyebrow. “You’re out late again.”
“Um, I patrol.” Peter lifted his mask up, blinking uncertainly up at him. “‘s my break time right now. And ‘m hungry.”
“Patrol, huh?” A coil of metal reached out to flick Peter under the chin, making him jump. “Brave boy, keeping this place safe.”
“Sometimes,” Peter said softly. “Because sometimes I see bad things on TV at school ‘n I have to go fix it.”
“Oh, do you? Is that why you can’t count to 100? Been skipping class too much, little dove?”
Peter’s lips formed a small pout before he could help himself. “I can count,” he protested, affronted. “‘s just a little bit hard, sometimes.”
“Well, that’s okay. You can always ask for help, can’t you?” The Superior approached him, watched his feet skitter nervously on the sand of the playground.
Peter nodded timidly, then asked, “What’s a dove?”
The Superior’s lips twitched. “You’re a dove.”
Peter looked down at himself, confused, then back up at him. “‘m not! ‘m just— ‘m just Peter.”
The Superior didn’t say anything, just watched him fidget some more on the swing before he murmured, “I have a surprise for you.”
“A surprise?”
The Superior gave a slight nod.
“I like surprises,” Peter admitted softly.
“Well, then, you’re a lucky boy.” The Superior extended a silver tendril behind the bushes to draw something out.
Peter slid off the swing, eyes wide. Then, when the object was close enough for him to make out what it was, he gasped. “For me?”
The Superior nodded again, pressing the white teddy bear into his chest.
Peter grabbed it immediately, pressing his fingers into the fur. It was softer than anything else he’d ever touched; it didn’t feel like a cheap dollar-store purchase, but more like the type you would see on display at fancy clothing stores, sitting on the counter. He pressed his face to it, rubbing his cheek against it as he let out happy noises.
“What do you say?”
Peter’s gaze jerked up to meet the Superior’s expectant gaze. “Thank you,” he said breathlessly. “I love her.”
The Superior looked smug. “I knew you would.” Then, he turned around again, just like he’d done last night, staring at what only he could see, and Peter clutched the bear closer to him.
“Um— Mr. Superior?”
“Hm?” The Superior didn’t turn his head.
“Can I— she’s mine?”
“She is.” With that, the silver armour began to ghost over his body again, and Peter almost watched with an air of desperation as his face disappeared from view.
“Mr. Superior?” he blurted out in a rush before he could leave.
The Superior waited.
“Um— thank you. Can I have 100 bears?” The words left without Peter realizing it and he gasped, mortified that he’d even asked such a thing. He sounded spoiled.
But the Superior just chuckled. “Maybe if you learn how to count, sure.”
“And um— will you— will you be here tomorrow, maybe?” Peter bit his cheeks, flushing.
The Superior tilted his head. “Do you want me to be?”
Peter ducked his head, shuffling his feet.
When he didn’t respond, the Superior told him, “I’ll be here,” before he turned and left the playground.
Peter watched him disappear, then looked down at the bear in his hands for a long time before heading home.
--- --- ---
The Superior met him every night after that, and that was just incomprehensible to Peter. He knew the man had better things to do. Maybe he was just interested in him because he knew he was Spider-Man.
But even that didn’t make sense, because the Superior never brought it up, nor did he try to hurt him. In fact, Peter found that the urge to go on patrol and be New York’s brave superhero was lessening in favour of being small with the Superior.
The Superior was nice to him. Nicer than anything he could’ve ever imagined. He always brought Peter nice gifts, like a snack, or a warm hoodie for him to wear, and even some hot chocolate.
He always said nice things to Peter too, like you’re a smart boy and such sweet manners, little one, I’m impressed.
But then, one night, for the first time, the Superior was upset with him.
Peter was terrified, and had nearly started sobbing as he collapsed into the swing, the meat of his palms pressed to his eyes.
“What did you say to me?” the Superior demanded, and Peter had never heard his voice like that before.
“I don’t— ‘m sorry—” he whimpered, breath quickening when he felt a tendril of metal wrap around his wrists, pulling them down from his face. “Just— just don’t wanna keep takin’ gifts, M-Mr. Superior, don’t want anymore—”
“Oh, no, no,” the Superior interrupted, his ice-cold gaze burning into Peter, and that didn’t make sense either, because ice was supposed to be cold, not hot. “That’s not your choice to make. It’s always the same thing with you little ants. Never happy, never grateful, only little brats.”
“‘m sorry!” Peter cried again, sniffling.
The Superior was quiet for a few moments, and all Peter could hear was the sound of the man’s harsh breathing in the space between them before it gradually deepened into its regular soothing rhythm. Then— “You’re a sweet boy.”
The words made Peter’s eyes fly open in confusion, and he asked tearfully, “I am?”
The Superior nodded. His gaze was more gentle now. Not soft like it usually was, but gentle. “And that’s why I keep bringing you gifts, little one. It’s rude to deny them when I’m being generous. I’m not always a generous man.”
“Just to me,” Peter sniffled.
“That’s right,” the Superior crooned. “Smart boy, always learning so fast. C’mere, little one, let your Superior teach you how to repent properly.”
Peter stumbled forward, scrunching his face as he mumbled, “I dunno what that word means, Mr. Superior.”
“It means you show me how sorry you are.” The Superior cupped his chin with a hand, tipping his face up. “Because you were rude, weren’t you?”
“Uh-huh,” Peter hiccuped. “‘m sorry.”
The Superior’s thumb stroked over his cheek. Then, he said, “No more tears, little one. I can tell how sorry you are. Had a bit of a scare, didn’t you, poor thing?”
And that was confusing too, because the Superior was comforting him like he’d just woken up from a nightmare when he was the nightmare. But Peter just pressed into the touch and mumbled again, “‘m sorry.”
“I know, little one. But you’re going to be so much more well-behaved now, I know it. You’re a good boy.”
Peter nodded timidly.
For the rest of the night, the Superior watched Peter struggle to complete the hopscotch he’d drawn for him in the sand before leaving.
--- --- ---
Peter was considerably meeker the next day, and he knew that the Superior knew. But he couldn’t help it; he just wanted to be good.
Eventually, the Superior said, “Want to do something fun, little one?”
“Fun?” Peter blinked, then asked softly, “What kinda fun?”
“Mmm.” The Superior tilted his head, eyes glinting. They almost looked like the moon in the sky, glimmering with light. Like a night-light, almost. “Do you want to fly, little one?”
“Fly?” Peter gasped, eyes wide. “I— I can kind of fly.” He held his wrists out in demonstration of his web shooters.
The Superior chuckled, reaching out—with his hand, for once—to gently grip his wrist and tug it back down. “Oh, sweet thing, that’s not true flight. I can show you how to really fly. I promise it’ll be fun. A reward for being so good today.” He crouched down now, eye-level with Peter sitting on the ground. “Do you trust me?”
Peter stared at him, breath shallow in his chest. He wrapped a hand around the Superior’s finger, looked down at it, then back up at his face. “Yes,” he whispered.
The Superior reached out and picked him up, and Peter let him. “Good boy. Hang on tight.”
“Yes, Mr. Superior.” Peter did exactly as he was told, clinging to the Superior’s arms as they stood with his back to the Superior’s front. He could feel the familiar shift as the armour wreathed over the Superior’s body, but it didn’t cover him.
“Are you ready, little one?” The words were spoken in a low voice, quiet enough that Peter had to strain to listen to him.
“Uh-huh.” Peter tightened his grip, heart beginning to pound. He knew he’d be fine. The Superior hadn’t hurt him yet, and he wouldn’t now. And if he fell, well, he had his webs. He might be a little more clumsy with how small he was feeling, but he could do it.
Or maybe the Superior would be the one to catch him.
“Good.” With that, the Superior lifted off the ground, making Peter inhale sharply.
They went up, up, and up, until Peter was convinced that they could touch the sky. Then they were going forward, picking up speed, and Peter gradually found himself relaxing as fear left him, replaced by pure delight at the sight of the twinkling buildings illuminated against the night sky.
The wind was cold against his face as the Superior let them swoop down. Peter let out a thrilled yelp and let his arms fly out, the Superior’s grip on him the only thing keeping him held and safe.
There was a chuckle from above. “Little dove, flying through the air, hm? Daddy taught you how to fly?”
Peter grinned and twisted in his grip, and the Superior held tight. “‘m flying!” he shouted, feet kicking before he could help himself.
Another laugh, and the Superior didn’t say anything else.
Peter kept his arms extended as they shot through the sky, and the Superior even did a loop-de-loop when he begged him enough. Then, Peter pointed at a little apartment building that they zoomed by and squealed, “‘s where I live!”
“Is it?” the Superior murmured, sounding interested. “Do you want me to drop you off at home, little one? Is it bedtime for you yet?”
Peter shook his head adamantly, pouting. “Nooo, I wanna stay with you.” He glanced up, craning his neck, and found the Superior looking down at him.
“Always saying the right things, little dove.”
Peter smiled. He was being good, and now he got to fly with the Superior, and he’d ask if they could do the same thing tomorrow night, too. He was sure he’d get a yes in return.
He turned his attention back to the buildings they shot past, then gasped. “What’s that?” he pointed at the large tower standing tall and proud amongst all the other buildings.
“That’s my tower.”
“Yours?” Peter gasped, eyes wide. “You live there? ‘s so big!”
The Superior nodded, speed picking up the slightest bit. “Do you want to see it?”
Peter didn’t hesitate. “Yes! Please!”
The Superior chuckled. “Well, only because you asked so nicely. I do have a weak spot for pretty words.” With that, he held onto Peter tighter before shooting off towards the tower.
Peter squealed, covering his face with his hands. “Can’t breathe!” he proclaimed dramatically, hearing the wind whip past his ears.
The Superior laughed above him. “Don’t be ridiculous, little one. You’re perfectly fine.”
Peter gave a little wriggle, but he didn’t voice any more protests as they neared the tower.
It was even more grand up close, with big fat letters that said “STARK” and windows that reflected the moonlight that shone down on them. Peter squirmed to get down, and when their feet landed on the platform, their shadows painted streaks across the floor.
“Wow,” Peter breathed, craning his neck to stare up at the sky. They were so close to the moon, he could feel it. He wondered what the moon would feel like in his hand. Cold and heavy, maybe. “Mr. Superior?”
“Hm?”
“Can you get the moon for me?” Peter turned big, pleading eyes to the Superior.
The Superior chuckled. “Perhaps one day, little one.” He outstretched a hand, and Peter took it, obediently scampering by his heel like an excited puppy as they walked towards the open door.
The Superior led him inside, then let go of his hand. Peter immediately ran to the large windows and pressed his nose against it. “‘s so pretty.”
“Do you like the view?”
Peter nodded without turning to look at him.
Then, there was a hand on his shoulder, squeezing lightly to get his attention. Peter looked up and met a pair of pale blue eyes. “You see that, little one?” Peter followed the Superior’s finger to stare out of the window and at the sparkling city before him. “This is my world. This is my universe. I own it all. And if you’re good, I can give you some of it too.”
“For me?” Peter’s eyes widened. “But— but I dunno how to own it.” He could barely keep track of where he left his stuffies, never mind buildings.
The Superior chuckled. “Well, it’s why you have me. You can always ask for help.” He ran a soothing hand through Peter’s wind-tousled hair. “Are you hungry?”
“Mhm.” Peter blinked up pleadingly. “Pizza.”
The Superior rolled his eyes. “You always want pizza.”
“‘cause it’s good!” Peter pouted.
“Fine. But only one with veggies on it.”
Peter pulled a face, but he knew he’d already lost the fight. Maybe he could pick them off when the pizza came. He followed the Superior towards the kitchen, counting the number of windows they passed by. Then— “Mr. Superior?”
“Hm?” The Superior looked down at him.
“Can you— can you help me? Um, to count to 100?” Peter asked softly.
The Superior appraised him, then smiled. “Oh, little one, you most definitely asked the right person.”
Peter smiled, biting his bottom lip happily, then got up onto his tip-toes to plant a quick, shy kiss to the Superior’s cheek. “Thank you.”
He knew he could always ask the Superior for help.

hi!! could i please request aomine + kise w a super insecure s/o but she doesn’t really say anything about it? but overtime the boys see how closed off she seems w everything ? aaa sorry if this doesn’t make sense
It made sense, don’t worry!! I hope you like this x
Scenario: Kise and Aomine with an insecure s/o
Kise
You loved dating Kise— you really did. As someone who had tendencies to worry about what others thought of you as well as be over-critical on yourself, being with him was quite refreshing. His bubbly personality and constant reassurance definitely helped you gain some self-love that you probably wouldn’t have been able to find without him.
There was one issue though. Kise was a rather popular person, being a model and all. For the first few months of your relationship, you managed to stay hidden by not going out in public with him too often. Of course, the two of you couldn’t always have dates at each other’s houses because there were so many places Kise wanted to take you, so you slowly began to go out together.
It didn’t take long for rumours to go around about your relationship, considering Kise’s popularity as a model was growing quite rapidly at this point. At first, you didn’t mind too much because they were just rumours and no one could confirm nor deny it per say. Furthermore, you felt quite happy knowing that Kise was all yours, and that you were in a relationship where you lifted each other up, so what others said about it wasn’t something you were concerned about.
However, that was until people started sneaking pictures of the two of you in public. You didn’t notice anything as it happened because you were caught up with Kise, but a few hours after you returned home, your social media was plastered with mentions as people tagged you in photos with your boyfriend. Looking at the surge of those photos made you begin to feel overwhelmed. You couldn’t help but read what people had to say about it, even though you knew you’d probably regret it.
At first, you didn’t really see anything too bad. Things like ‘Oh a new couple! How cute’ and ‘They’re adorable together, Kise-kun looks so happy’ seemed to be scattered amongst more surprised and sceptical comments that questioned the validity of the photos. And then you found the hate.
‘Yikes. Why is Kise dating someone like that?’, ‘No offense but Kise can do better’, ‘Did they pay Kise to date them or something? I never imagined him actually dating someone like that lol’ along with many other comments of that sort was soon all you saw. The nicer comments that were sprinkled here and there suddenly lost all its value as the meaner ones were all you seemed to look at.
You switched your phone off and put it aside as you began to feel your throat close up. As your brain began to question your self worth, a few tears managed to escape, even though you were trying so hard not to let it get to you. Maybe they were right? was all you could think about as you slowly but surely beat yourself up about it.
“Y/N-cchi! Are you free after school?” Kise chirped as you met up with him at recess a few days later.
“Probably. Why?”
“Let’s go on a date! There’s this boba café nearby that I think you’d really like,” he said with a smile, cheery as ever.
“I’m not sure. I think I’ll have to pass,” you said softly. You really didn’t want any more online attention than you were already getting.
“Why not?” he pouted.
You looked up at his frowning face and felt a wave of guilt. You made him sad. The comments were right. You don’t deserve him. “I just don’t feel like it,” you shrugged, pinching yourself.
“You’ll feel better when you try their drinks— trust me. It’ll be fun,” Kise said, giving you a smile that never failed to make your heart melt.
With a heavy sigh, you nodded slightly, “Alright I guess we can go then.”
Kise’s face lit up once again as his arms wrapped around you so tight that you felt like you couldn’t even breathe. “Yay, a date with Y/N-cchi!” he sang.
After school, the two of you walked to the cafe together. The weather was quite pleasant, and the bright yellow sun definitely improved your mood ever so slightly. As you walked, Kise took your hand in his like he usually would, but almost instantly, you pulled it away from him, gaining a look of confusion in response.
“What’s wrong, Y/N-cchi?” Kise asked, concerned.
“It’s nothing. My palms are just a bit sweaty, so I don’t think you’d wanna hold my hand,” you lied. You couldn’t help but be on edge in the case that someone was watching you.
“They felt fine to me, don’t worry about that,” Kise said, reaching for your hand once again.
You couldn’t really think of anything else to say to refuse without garnering any questions from him, so you reluctantly let him hold your hand, looking around anxiously. This keeping an eye out lasted for quite some time and Kise seemed to notice that your attention wasn’t fully directed towards him like it normally would be.
“Y/N-cchi, are you really sure everything is okay? You’ve barely even looked at me today,” Kise said as the two of you sipped on your drinks in the cafe.
“I’m fine,” you answered simply, over-correcting your actions by focusing on Kise and pretending everything was okay.
“Really? You seem really nervous,” Kise said.
“Ryouta, I’m fine, don’t worry,” you said, trying to sound as reassuring as possible.
“If there’s ever anything worrying you, you can tell me,” he said sincerely, placing his hand on top of yours and giving it a tight squeeze. “You know that, right?”
For a moment you really considered telling him what’s been bothering you, but you were afraid. You thought that it was really stupid of yourself to get affected so much by something like this and you didn’t want him to judge you for it— even though you were aware that he’d never do that.
“I know,” you nodded as you leaned back in your seat, filled with uncertainty and regret.
Once again, when you got back home, you were met with even more pictures of you and Kise from your date. You noticed that you had a frown on your face in pretty much all the photos. And of course the comments seemed to notice too.
‘lol his date doesn’teven look like they want to be there’, ‘that person looks annoying, why’s Kise dating someone like that’, ‘if I were with Kise I’d probably pay more attention to him than they are’.
Day by day, the comments increased. Kise’s agency managed to be able to keep the tabloids relatively silent about it. There were small articles here and there, but none of them were all too bad. However, there was no way they could control what was being said on the internet. Kise did call you up to remind you not to be too concerned about what people were saying. In fact, he urged you to do what he does and avoid the comment sections completely. But at that point, it was already too late. Looking at what others said about you online quickly became a daily thing, sending you down a spiral of self-destruction that only got worse.
Slowly, you began to avoid going outside and started making more and more excuses to not go out with Kise. You did still really like spending time with him, but the only time you were truly comfortable was when you were somewhere private with no other people around, and that wasn’t something Kise could do too often because he liked going outside.
He’d invite you to hang out with his friends every so often but you’d always refuse, saying that you were too busy. In all honesty, you hated lying to him but you felt like you had to.
One afternoon, you were laying down in bed after a tiring day of school and scrolling through comments yet again, when you heard the doorbell ring. It was Kise.
“Ryouta? What are you doing here?” you asked with a confused expression. “Don’t you have practice?”
“Yeah but you didn’t come to watch so I got worried,” Kise explained as he stepped into your house. “What happened, Y/N-cchi? You always watch my practice.”
“I’m sorry, I just didn’t feel too well,” you replied, your eyes fixed on the floor.
“What? Are you okay?” Kise asked, in a slightly panicked tone as his hand immediately reached for your forehead to check your temperature. “You seem fine.”
You responded with nothing but silence as you pursed your lips and continued to stare at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.
Kise leaned down to try and meet your gaze. “Y/N-cchi, what’s really going on? You’ve been really distant lately. Have you gotten tired of me or something?” Kise asked, his usual cheery voice suddenly going all soft.
“No, it’s nothing like that,” you shook your head, surprised that he’d even think of something like that.
“Then what is it?”
“I don’t know,” you mumbled.
“Y/N-cchi, please tell me what’s going on so that I can help. I really hate seeing you like this. I can’t remember the last time I saw a genuine smile from you, which sucks because I really like your smile,” Kise said as he cupped your face in his hands and tilted your head up to look at him in the eye.
You felt tears well up in your eyes as you thought back to all the things you’ve read about yourself. Kise genuinely cared for you and you told yourself yet again that you really don’t deserve him. “I just don’t feel very confident going out so much with you,” you admitted softly.
“What? Why’s that?” Kise asked, amber eyes filled with concern and worry.
“Because there are people who sneak photos of us and post them online. And the comments are always just so... mean,” you said, your voice breaking as tears began to roll down your cheeks.
“Didn’t I tell you not to look at those? What did they say?”
“T-That I’m not good enough for you, and that I don’t deserve you,” you replied, sobbing like a baby at this point.
“And you’re going to believe what a bunch of random people say about you?” Kise said, which silenced you for a moment as you thought about it. “Listen Y/N-cchi, you’re beautiful and kind and one of the most caring people I’ve ever met. I’m the luckiest person in the world because I get to call you mine. If anything, I don’t deserve you— I mean it. No one could ever make me think that you’re not good enough because in my eyes you’re my everything,” Kise said, voice so soft and tender that it just filled your body with warmth.
“Are you sure?” you asked, unable to process the fact that this boy had so much love for you.
Kise pecked your lips and gave you a smile. “I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life.”
“I’m sorry for not talking about it to you sooner and acting so aloof,” you said.
“It’s okay. We can take it slow and just spend more time alone, alright?” Kise said as he wiped your tears away with his thumb.
“Yeah, that would be nice,” you sniffled.
“I hope you can see yourself the way I see you someday. You’re really amazing, Y/N-cchi. I love you so goddamn much,” he said, honey eyes full of care and sincerity as he placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
You couldn’t help but smile at the sound of those words that made your heart skip a beat, “I love you too, Ryouta.”
Kise’s face brightened up again as he too began to grin, “There’s that gorgeous smile— I’ve missed it.”
Aomine
Aomine was aware that you had times where you felt insecure every now and then and of course, he did his best to minimise it and check up on you to make sure you were alright. He seemed to be doing a fairly good job as well because your confidence was rather stable for a while.
One of the main reasons he’d always check up on you was because he was really slow on picking up when you did feel insecure. You were the kind of person to sit quietly and deal with your issues by yourself rather than reach out for help so that made it slightly difficult for him sometimes. Along with being slow at noticing, Aomine was often one to take things for granted. So when you seemed to be all happy and confident, he’d slowly begin checking up on you lesser and lesser.
You never realised how much you valued the attention from him though until it began to reduce. You seemed to have become emotionally dependent on Aomine and by the time you realised it, it was a little too late.
Slowly, as days went by, you began to feel more and more unsure about yourself as Aomine got busier. The Winter Cup was just around the corner and he was caught up with practices that he didn’t have as much time to tend to you. Nevertheless, he still went out of his way to call you up or visit you during his free time, though that time was never enough for you to open up about how you felt.
You weren’t sure when it happened, but before you knew it, your mind was clouded with dark thoughts that criticised your appearance and abilities. You’d often stand in front of the mirror and pick yourself apart piece by piece, feeling nothing but hatred towards the person that looked back at you.
You stopped enjoying the things you’d normally enjoy too. Things like art and reading became a burden as every time you’d pick up a pencil, you’d hate every stroke you made, and you couldn’t immerse yourself into books anymore because your mind would only just wander off into thoughts about the things you wanted to escape.
“Hey babe, how are you doing today?” Aomine said when you picked up his phone call one evening.
“I’m okay, are you heading back from practice?” you asked, able to hear a faint sound of footsteps in the background.
“Yep. I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever,” he sighed.
“Didn’t you see me in school today?” You pointed out.
“Barely. Besides, that was hours ago. I miss you,” Aomine said.
“I miss you too,” you replied, hearing his voice somehow put a small smile on your face.
“Can we FaceTime instead? I want to see you,” he requested, which immediately wiped the smile away.
“I don’t think so,” you said, shaking your head even though he couldn’t see you.
“Why not? You can’t just keep that pretty face to yourself, you know. It’s not fair.”
“I look anything but pretty, trust me,” you said, playing it off as a joke even though you actually meant it.
“Oh come on. Please?”
“I said no, Daiki,” you snapped suddenly, shocking both you and Aomine. You definitely didn’t want to put yourself on video, however you didn’t realise how defensive you were about it until that point. But you stood by it.
There was a moment of silence as you took in what just happened before Aomine let out a heavy sigh. “Alright. It’s fine then I guess,” he said. There was definitely a change in his tone after that. What was previously an energetic and happy sound, was now more lukewarm and mellow, and you couldn’t help but feel responsible for it.
And now there was one more thing for you to beat yourself up over.
Aomine finally had a few days off of practice, and of course, the first thing he wanted to do was spend time with you. So he called you up.
“Hey, do you want to go out for a movie or something? I finally have some free time,” Aomine asked you.
“Um, I’m not sure. I don’t think I feel too well,” you said. The last place you wanted to go was outside. You had to walk to the convenience store the other day and you absolutely hated it because you felt like everyone was judging you in some way or the other, even though in reality, no one really looked at you for more than a second.
“Really? Is everything okay? Do you need to go to the doctor?”
“No, it’s nothing like that. I guess I’m just not feeling up to it,” you said.
“Then how about we do something tomorrow?” he suggested.
“I don’t know...”
“Y/N, I barely get to see you anymore. Are you sure you’re not avoiding me or something?” Aomine questioned, being more straightforward not to mask his hurt.
“I’m not.”
“Then why don’t you want to spend time with me?”
“I don’t know,” you mumbled, feeling overwhelmed at the pressure you felt to not make him hate you even more.
“Y/N, that’s not an answer,” he sighed.
You responded with silence as you finally decided to shut yourself up before you made things worse. With one more disappointed sigh, Aomine ended the call. The sound of the ringing finally caused you to break down into tears. You finally reached rock bottom. You chased away the one person who actually cared about you. He probably hates you now too.
Meanwhile, Aomine was striding towards your house after ending the phone call. It may have been a bit cruel to just cut it without saying a goodbye, but the frustration just took over. You weren’t even responding at that point so Aomine just decided to see what was wrong for himself. It took you a while to answer the door, and when you did, there was a forced smile on your tear stained face as you let him in.
“I’m sorry for cutting the call short. What’s wrong, Y/N?” he asked.
No response. You just stared at the floor.
Aomine’s hand reached for your cheek, “Hey, were you crying—“
He stopped when you flinched and shifted away before he could lay a finger on you. “I’m fine, it’s nothing,” you said coldly, wrapping your arms around your body and clenching your shirt.
“You won’t even let me touch you. Did I do something wrong?” Aomine asked, trying to think about whether or not he’d done anything to upset you recently. However, nothing added up as he barely saw you— there was no way he could’ve done anything.
You hated every moment of this. All you could think about was how you probably looked awful at that moment. He came so suddenly that you didn’t get a chance to fix yourself. Furthermore, you’d just been crying so you probably looked like a train wreck. He is definitely thinking about how bad I look, you thought. You didn’t want to find out though, so you just avoided all eye contact.
“You’re really not going to even talk to me?” Aomine asked, and as he expected there was yet again no response. He sighed. “Fine then. I’m not leaving your house until you tell me what’s going on.”
You watched as Aomine walked further into your house. He went straight into the kitchen, and you, not knowing what else to do, trailed behind him as he began to check the cabinets.
“I’m starving. Have you eaten lunch yet?” Aomine turned his head to look over at you. You shook your head. “Alright. I’ve been learning how to cook. I’m not guaranteeing a gourmet meal, but it should be edible... hopefully,” he said, beginning to pull out different ingredients.
“I’m not hungry,” you mumbled.
“Did you eat breakfast?”
“No.”
“Yeah I thought so. I’m making us some food,” he said dismissively.
You knew Aomine was stubborn so you didn’t try to argue any more because he’d make it no matter what you say.
You watched him walk up and down the kitchen and do his thing in silence. You really weren’t sure what he was trying to make. There were so many different ingredients that just didn’t make sense, but you just stood and watched.
About half an hour went by without a word from either of you. Aomine began humming a song as he stood over the stove, which strangely made you feel more at ease. As he stirred the pot, he seemed so harmless that you began to finally calm down and build up the courage to tell him.
Almost as if he could read your mind, he finally spoke up, “You ready to say something to me yet?
Another moment of silence passed by as you bit your lip in hesitation. Aomine was just about to let out another disappointed sigh when you muttered, “I’ve just been feeling really insecure lately.”
Hearing your voice caught Aomine off guard for a moment. Even though he was the one who asked you to speak up, a part of him was expecting nothing to happen yet again. He switched off the stove, wiped his hands and turned to face you, leaning against the counter as he did so. “Insecure? About what?”
“I don’t know. I just hate how I look. And everything I do feels so inadequate. Plus I haven’t gotten to see you in a while so I got the feeling that you probably hate me by now. I’m acting like a brat now, after all,” you said, voice soft but the pain was evident.
“I want to start off by saying, I could never hate you. You’re always on my mind Y/N. Why do you think I like to call you so much? Actually, why do you think I came all the way over here? It’s because I care about you,” he said.
You finally looked up at him again. He looked as gorgeous as ever. And this dark blue eyes were gentle and caring. Maybe you were overthinking it.
Aomine took you getting your eyes off the floor as a good sign. So he took a few steps closer to you. “And I get how you feel about the other stuff. I feel like that too sometimes. But honestly, I find you absolutely beautiful. I really don’t know how much weight my words have, but that’s what I think. You’re also so smart and talented, I really just think you need to be a little kinder to yourself,” he continued.
And just like that, the waterworks went for round two. You didn’t know how much you needed to hear those words until right then.
Aomine felt his heart ache at the sight of you in this state. He hesitated for a moment because of what happened when he tried to touch you earlier, but he soon wrapped his arms around you and hugged you tight. Almost immediately, you too wrapped your arms around him and sobbed into his chest, the smell of his cologne making you feel safe at your most vulnerable moment.
“I’m so sorry for being so distant. I’ve been so awful. I should’ve talked to you,” you cried. It was a bit difficult for Aomine to understand what you were saying through the tears but he processed it a few moments later as his fingers brushed through your hair reassuringly.
“Shh, it’s okay,” he said softly as he pulled away and held your shoulders so he could look you in the eye. “I’m just glad you told me.”
You nodded as you tried to stop yourself from crying.
“Here,” Aomine said, as he pulled off the black dog tag necklace he wore and put it around your neck. “It’s not much, but think of it as a reminder that you’re always amazing in my eyes.”
You felt your heart burst as you became teary-eyed again, except this time it was out of gratefulness.
“...is that too lame?” Aomine asked as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly when you didn’t say anything.
You immediately shook your head. “No, it means a lot. I-I love you.”
A smile spread across Aomine’s face. “I love you too, Y/N,” he said. “Alright, I’m gonna finish making our food, okay?”
“Sure,” you nodded as you watched him return to the stove. “But, can I ask what exactly you’re trying to make?”
“Um, ramen?”
You began to giggle, “Babe, I don’t think you should put tomato sauce in ramen.”
“Oh, right... I knew that.”

My Hero Academia Boys on first dates:
✧─── · 。゚★: *.✦ .* :★. ───✧
This post is brought to you by my short af attention span, mha brain rot, the Bakugo plushie I brought last week, and my teacher who though I was typing notes on my iPad when really I was writing this. Once again not proof read I’ll edit in the morning😅
Also this is to help @trnrpot8o and their Sero addiction.
✧─── · 。゚★: *.✦ .* :★. ───✧
Sero:
He would be so sweet, I could definitely see him bringing flowers to the date. If you don’t like flowers then maybe a small stuffed animal or such
Sero would probably bring you to a smaller cafe style restaurant that has a nice patio where you to can enjoy lunch. I really feel like he likes the idea of being outside a lot I mean come on the boy has a hammock in his dorm room.
Once the date is over he might bring one of those hammocks that you can set up in the park when you travel. Y’all would just hang out in the park and talk about life. Maybe about how hero classes are going for him and how classes are going for you depending on what course you are in.
Once it starts to get dark out or when ever you wanna go home, he will help you out of the hammock and then pack it up. He’s going to walk you back to the dorms and the date will probably end with him just giving you a hug. He’s going get back in his room and start planning his next date while waiting for you to text him back.
✧─── · 。゚★: *.✦ .* :★. ───✧
Bakugo:
Our little tsundere boy, he’s gonna be so moody. He’s going to try and pick a location that isn’t to close to the school so no one can accidentally see you guys out on you’re date.
It won’t be too late because Bakugo goes to bed by like 8 pm. He’s actually an old man and we all know that.
He’s going to take you to a movie I feel like he would like that because it’s dark and he doesn’t want anyone to see him blush or anything. He’ll pick something that you’re more interested in then him bc he wants to show you that he cares with out actually telling you that he cares.
He’s gonna buy you the movie snacks before you sit down and such. If he ends up pulling you close during the movie so he can cuddle you but don’t say anything about it, He will push you away so quick and not pay attention to you till he stops blushing. He’s not mean about it he just can’t handle feelings.
He’s going to walk you back but if you ask why he’s gonna play it off like he. doesn’t really care in typical Bakugo fashion probably something along the lines of “I’m not doing this to protect you, this is just the closest way back to school.”
He’ll walk you up to you’re dorm or house, you’re gonna have to make the move with him, because he has a hard time with his feelings. But after you kiss him he's gonna pull you back for one more kiss before he leaves.
✧─── · 。゚★: *.✦ .* :★. ───✧
Kirishima:
He would be so happy you agreed to date him. He would be going off about how “mainly” he would have to be on this date all week to his friends. Bakugo definitely threaten to blow him up at one point because he wouldn’t stop talking about you.
Kirishima would be so happy when you showed up to the date, I have a feeling that he's going to take you out to a nicer dinner, maybe like a cuter local restaurant that up and coming.
After the date He’s gonna take you out on a walk though a park while you two talk about school, life goals and whatever else you wanna talk about the boy is gonna be down to talk about anything.
I also see him being really big on quality time. So as long are he’s around you, he’s happy. Depending on the weather that night he will buy you ice cream or hot chocolate. Just something sweet to end the night as you both head back to your house.
I also feel like he would ask if he could kiss you on on the cheek before you walk into your house or you’re dorm room. He’s also gonna give you a big hug then tell you have a good night and head back to his room.

Hi! Could you write an Arthur Morgan x reader where one of the gang gets lost in a snowstorm and the reader knows how to deal with this weather so she offers to go look? ☺️
A/N: I am so sorry this sort of strayed away from the prompt! Reader and Arthur are the ones who actually ended up getting lost and this takes place just before Colter.... If you don’t like this babe, I have no problem doing another! Also, I’m sorry this took quite a bit! My weekend did not go to plan. I hope you like it! And I’m sorry my hand slipped.... It’s 3.4k words...
***
Arthur cast a glance over his shoulder at you, wanting to make sure you weren’t lagging behind.
Your horse, a golden palomino you promptly named Butternut, was having some difficulty traversing the deep snow, but with your little words of encouragement and pats on the shoulder and neck, she seemed to be pushing through.
“You alright back there?” He called over his shoulder.
“Just dandy.” You looked up at him, taking your eyes off of Butternut’s mane. Her hair was frozen and collecting snow but you were trying to wipe it away in an attempt to keep her as warm as possible.
“Hopefully we’ll find somethin’ soon.”
“That map Hosea gave us said we should’ve found something nearly thirty minutes ago.” You tucked your hands into the pockets of your coat. “You sure you’re reading it right, Morgan?”
“I know how to read a map.” He grumbled, pulling the map out of his bag to take another look at it.
The two of you had been traveling for well over two hours through the snow in a desperate attempt to find shelter for the gang. They were holed up somewhere just east of Lake Isabella, but you were traveling north along the Spider Gorge.
“This wind is getting too cold, Mr. Morgan. Put your mask up to cover your face.” You pulled the black and white plaid bandana from around your neck up over your nose. You almost sighed in relief at the warmth provided by the thick material.
“M’fine.” He grumbled, his deep baritone almost drowned out by the heavy wind.
“I don’t care if you’re fine right now, Arthur. Within the hour, your nose and lips will suffer from frostbite.”
He said nothing in response to you, blue eyes flickering over the map as his horse continued along the trail.
“Mr. Morgan, don’t make me ask you again. I won’t be so kind.”
“This cold weather sure does make you mean, Ms. Y/L/N.” Arthur pulled his mask up over his nose, glancing over to you as you moved your horse up beside his.
“I’ve seen what this cold weather can do to stubborn fools.”
“I’ve heard that one before.” He muttered, passing you the map. You brought your horse to a stop, so he did the same. “Think we got side tracked from that little establishment Hosea mentioned. If my thoughts and judgement are correct, I’d say we’re about here.” He pointed to the area between the home of a poor woman the gang had just taken in named Sadie Adler and Colter, the abandoned settlement the gang was aiming to lay low in for a short time.
“You think we passed Colter?” You looked over to Arthur.
“Had to have. There ain’t no way we didn’t. We should’ve found it by now.”
“I don’t think it’s that easy to miss a whole town, Arthur.” You looked back at the map, your eyes following Spider Gorge. You’d followed that very creek nearly the entire way north. There was no way you’d missed Colter.
“Hard to tell with these mountains and all this damned snow. Can’t see shit with the wind blowin’ in our faces either.” He grumbled, carefully snapping the reins to make his horse move.
You folded the map up and followed alongside him.
“That’s ‘cause ole Arthur Morgan is used to warm weather. He isn’t used to the beauty of the Grizzlies.”
“And you are?” He cocked a brow at you.
Beneath your mask, you wore a small but proud smile.
“I grew up around Tempest Rim. This weather ain’t new to me, cowboy.”
Your romantic relationship with Arthur was fairly new, so he had yet to learn every detail about your past. He took mentally took note of this detail, reminding himself that he’d have to jot it down in his journal at a later time.
You let out a sigh, pulling him from his thoughts. Your eyes were focused on the mountains to the west where the sun was setting.
“Sun’s goin’ down. We’re loosing daylight. Means it’ll only get colder from here.”
“Can’t turn around now.” Arthur shook his head. “Too long of a trip back to the gang. It would take most of the night.”
“I wasn’t suggesting we give up. But we need shelter of some sort. Somewhere a little warm to rest. And the horses need a break.”
“Well if we keep goin’ this way, all we’re gonna find is Mrs. Adler’s burned down house.” Arthur gestured in the direction you had been going.
“Burned down? What happened to it? I thought you said O’Driscolls just got a hold of her.”
“Micah happened.”
You sighed.
“She did have a barn or two on her property.” Arthur thought out loud. “They shouldn’t have gotten burnt down with the house.”
“You think it’s worth a look?”
“We can go see about that, or we can go back and try to find Colter.”
You didn’t think that you had passed Colter just yet, but you didn’t want to argue with him. Arguing and fighting in such extreme conditions wasn’t ideal, nor did it seem necessary.
“Let’s try Mrs. Adler’s place.”
Arthur nodded, clicking his tongue twice to get his horse moving.
***
The sun had gone down and snow began to fall from the sky.
Arthur was sure that you should’ve reached Sadie Adler’s ranch by now, but he wasn’t sure why it was taking so long.
“Arthur, maybe we should stop and make camp.” Your voice was quiet and uneasy. You didn’t like the idea of making camp out in the open. It was dangerous. Not only were you open to the bitter elements, but to the chance O’Driscolls finding you too.
“We can’t stop yet, pumpkin.” He turned his head to look at you.
You were visibly shivering but you were trying your best to remain strong for him. He needed you to be strong.
“What happened to you bein’ my strong mountain woman?” He teased, slowing his horse down a bit so he could move alongside you. “Don’t tell me this Grizzly weather is gettin’ to you.”
A little smile tugged at your slightly chapped lips.
“Course not. Just-Just worried about Butternut. She ain’t used to this. Blackwater is so much nicer and warmer than up here, and that’s all she’s used to.”
Arthur let go of the reins to his horse with one hand, reaching over to pat your thigh.
“We’ll find somewhere warm for Butternut to stay.”
Your eyes were focused ahead of you so instead of watching Arthur, you were focused on what was waiting for you on the path ahead. The faint outline of what looked like a building made you jolt.
“Arthur, look!”
He looked in the direction you point.
“That don’t look like Mrs. Adler’s barn.”
“It has to be Colter.” You nudged your horse to make her move faster. You were all too eager to get her out of the elements.
“Y/N, hold on a second!” Arthur called after you, but you were already gone. “Damn it, woman.”
You made it into the abandoned town first, eyes flickering around to make sure you were alone. At first glance, you were alone. The place was vacant.
A sudden burst of wind made your horses uneasy and made you grasp the hood on your head, fearing it would fall off.
Arthur came up beside you, carefully inspecting the main street of Colter. He pulled the mask down from his nose.
“I’m gonna put the horses in this old barn.” He gestured to your right. “Just hope it don’t cave in on them in the middle of the night.”
“Arthur.” You scolded him. He grinned, knowing he was only teasing you.
“After that, I’ll make sure we’re the only ones here. You wanna get what we need and go into that building right behind you?”
You nodded and got down from your horse. You got as much as you could from your horse and from Arthur’s, taking what you needed as far as bedding and food, and made your way to the building Arthur talked about.
Unsurprisingly, the house was empty. It consisted of one main room with a large fireplace in the center and three rooms off of the main room.
You put the things in your hands down on the floor near the fireplace. Slipping the knife out of its holster on your hip, you moved to the room to your right.
The floorboards creaked beneath your boots. It was evident no one had been there in a long time. There were cobwebs everywhere. The glass to the windows were broken, but they were boarded up too so that stopped some of the bitter cold air from coming inside.
The room to your right contained a grinding wheel and a workbench. Seeing that nothing would be useful there, you continued to the next room. This room seemed to be a living space of some sort. There was a bed, a dresser, and an end table inside the room.
After searching the dresser and the end table, you went to the final room. It was set up similarly to the other bedroom, except this one had a large bed that was clearly meant for two people.
In the corner of the room closest to the doorway was a small stack of firewood. You immediately became excited over the sight of the wood. Maybe you could start a fire in the fireplace. The very idea of heat almost brought tears to your eyes.
***
Arthur slipped into the house, closing the door behind himself. He looked around, surveying the room.
You were knelt down by the fireplace, trying to start a fire with a matchbook.
“What’re you doin’?” He asked.
“Trying to get us some sorta heat.” You struck the match and put it into the fireplace. “We need some sorta kindling. The wood ain’t gonna light by itself.”
“Where’d you find that wood?”
“In one of the back rooms.” You stood up, passing him the matchbook. “I have a few newspaper articles from a few weeks ago when we were in New Austin. They’re in one of my saddle bags.”
“But ain’t those for your collection?” Arthur watched you as you started for the door.
“Yeah.”
“Pumpkin, you don’t gotta use those newspapers.”
You stopped at the door, your hand on the knob.
“We need the heat, Arthur.”
“I got paper in my journal.” He started to pull his journal out but you were quick to stop him.
“No!” You rushed to his side, stopping him from pulling the journal out of his satchel. “Don’t you dare ruin that new journal, Arthur Morgan. I just bought it for you.”
“I know, but I don’t want you to destroy your newspapers. I know you like to collect all the ones with strange news reportings and those ones from New Austin talk about a bunch of weird things.”
“I’m sure I can find more later on, Arthur.” You kept your hand on his that rested on his satchel. “Do not ruin that journal. Do not tear any papers out. I am using my newspapers so we can have a fire tonight.”
Arthur frowned, shaking his head softly.
“Pumpkin-,”
“Don’t pumpkin me, cowboy.” You cut him off, leaning up on your toes to give his slightly chapped lips a gentle kiss. “If you so much as rip one paper from that journal, you’ll be relying on only the fire’s warmth tonight.”
He sighed, watching you move across the room and slip out of the house.
***
A few minutes later, you return with the newspapers. They’re folded neatly under your arm. In one hand, you hold a bottle of gin and in the other is a bottle of whiskey.
“I figured we could do with a little to drink tonight.” You explained as you set the two bottles of liquor down on the mantle above the fireplace.
“That’s a bit more than a little to drink.” Arthur commented.
“I didn’t know which one you’d want.”
He nodded, standing up from the chair he had been sitting in. He picked the chair up and moved towards the front door. He propped the chair beneath the doorknob and wedged it there so that no one would be able to come in.
You watched him and when he turned around to face you, your eyes met.
“Just wanna make sure we’re safe tonight.”
You nodded.
You knelt down in front of the fire, placing the small stack of newspapers in front of you on the floor.
“If we rip the paper in half and twist it up, it’ll burn better.” You explained, taking the top piece of paper and ripping it in half. It hurt to see the newspaper go, but you knew it wasn’t as important as your life or as Arthur’s. The temperatures were too low to go without a fire through the night.
Arthur knelt down beside you, assisting you with the process of ripping the newspaper up and twisting it. Then the twisted pieces were placed into the fire below and around the pieces of firewood.
You picked up the matchbook from the floor and struck a match. You watched the flame for a few moments, then threw it into the fireplace. The paper caught on fire almost immediately. This would give the wood a chance to heat up and catch flame too.
Arthur’s eyes flickered to you. You were staring into the heat, a little smile adorning your lips. He could see the sadness in your eyes. You really did like collecting newspapers. It was the one thing you enjoyed doing. Everyone at camp knew you liked it too, and sometimes they’d bring you back clippings and papers if they thought you’d enjoy the piece on it.
Arthur took off one of his gloves and slipped his hand around the back of your neck, drawing you in to him. He pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“Your hands are freezin’, Morgan.” You giggled.
He chuckled, letting you go and putting his hands closer to the fire.
“Sorry, pumpkin.”
“I’ll start gettin’ our beds set up.”
“Beds?” He repeated, emphasizing on the s. Arthur looked over his shoulder to watch you go to the bedrolls that were not to far away from him. “We ain’t sharin’?”
“I never said that.”
“You said beds. Our beds.”
“My apologies, Mr. Morgan.” You grinned, looking over to him. “I’ll get our bed set up.”
“Much better, pumpkin. Apology accepted.” He winked at you.
You stood up straight, placing your hands on your hips. Arthur stood up and stepped back from the fire, putting himself a foot or so away from you.
“If we’re gonna share a sleeping area, how should we go about this? One bedroom ain’t gonna fit us both.”
“It will if you squeeze. I’ll suck it in.”
“Suck what in?”
“My gut.” He patted his stomach, a grin playing on his lips. You giggled, rolling your eyes.
“That ain’t the problem. The problem is no matter how much suckin’ in either of us do, we’re too much for one of the bed rolls.”
Arthur looked at the bedrolls then to the fire.
“Well, we can make it work. You get in both ours and I’ll lay on the floor by you holdin’ you. We’ll be by the fire. I don’t need nothin’ but you.”
“Arthur, I’m not doin’ that.” You shook your head.
“What if I want you to?” He tilted his head to the side. “You know how overheated I get sometimes when I’m sleepin. I don’t need a blanket with all these layers I have on right now plus sleepin’ so close to the fire. But you, Miss Y/L/N, I can’t have you gettin’ cold tonight.”
“Oh, I know you wouldn’t let me get cold, Mr. Morgan.” You smiled. “But I can’t take both bedrolls.”
“I beg to differ, pumpkin.” He picked up his bed roll and put it down far enough from the fire that it wasn’t a safety hazard but close enough that you could still feel the heat. Arthur took your bedroll and tucked it into his own, giving you double the bedding.
“Arthur, I don’t like it.”
“Well tough shit. I already told you how I’m sleepin’ tonight. I wanna be able to wrap my arms around you and hold you close.”
You frowned as you looked down at the bedrolls. This would mean that not only would you be the only one with a blanket of some sort tonight, but you’d also be the only one not sleeping directly on the hard and freezing cold floor.
“Arthur, can’t we just try somethin’ else? M’not gonna sleep good knowin’ you’re on the hard floor. And these floorboards are far too creaky and drafty for you to be sleepin’ on them without anything.”
He let out a sigh, glancing around the room.
“Well, we got another option.” His eyes landed on one of the bedrooms. “We could pull a mattress out here and throw the bedrolls over it. That way we ain’t sleepin’ directly on the floor or the old mattress.”
You thought about the idea for a few moments, shifting your weight from one foot to the other.
Any other day, you’d pass and sleep on the floor. But it was too cold and you could feel a draft coming from between the floorboards. A mattress could stop that.
“Okay.”
As Arthur left the main room to retrieve a mattress, you moved the bedrolls out of the way. He came back in a few moments later with the smaller of the two mattresses in the house.
He placed it in front of the fire and allowed you to fix the makeshift bed to your liking.
You laid out both bedrolls to cover the mattress and provide protection between you and the old mattress. Then you shed your thick coat knowing you could use it better as a blanket.
“You think we can both squeeze on to that mattress?” Arthur asked, gesturing to the mattress on the floor.
“We’ll find out in the mornin’ when we see if one of us have fallen off.” You grinned a little, settling down on the mattress. It wasn’t luxurious by any means, but it beat riding on horseback all night in the snow. “Make sure you grab those drinks before you get down here, Mr. Morgan.”
He retrieved the gin and whiskey from the mantle, placing them down on the floor by the mattress, then he got down on the mattress behind you. You were sitting facing the fire. This put your back to Arthur, but he didn’t mind.
You took the gin, opened it up, and took a swig. The piney liquor was exactly what you needed. It seemed to fit in well with the atmosphere as you looked at the fire.
“How do you reckon we got lost?” You looked over your shoulder to him, offering him the gin. He took it and drunk from it before answering.
“Think we must’ve gotten off the road at some point. Made it feel like we’d traveled longer or something like that.”
You nodded, looking back to the fire.
“What happened at Blackwater, Arthur?” Your voice lowered and a solemn tone took over.
Arthur didn’t answer you immediately as he leaned back on his elbow. His eyes studied the side of your face, brows drawn together just slightly.
“I don’t know, pumpkin. Wish I did know, but I didn’t have time to ask Dutch or anyone who was there.” He tapped the gin bottle against the side of your arm. You looked down and took it from him.
“You think they’ll be okay when we get back to them?”
“Course they’ll be okay, Y/N.”
“Well, we were gone longer than we were supposed to be. The weather was bad down there by Lake Isabella. Just hope they were able to stay warm.”
Arthur sat up and moved a little closer to you, kissing the side of your cheek once he could reach you.
“They’ll be just fine, pumpkin. They got Dutch and Hosea lookin’ after them. And Javier and Charles are plenty able to make sure everyone’s okay too.”
“What about John?”
“Well…. John’s a different story.” Arthur sighed. “But m’sure John’s okay too. He’s got dumb luck.”
You nodded, knowing Arthur was right.
“We need to sleep.” He reminded you, laying down on the mattress.
You put the bottle of gin down and shifted down to lay next to Arthur.
“You got any more space over there, pumpkin? M’nearly rollin’ off the edge.” He grunted a little, moving around a bit. The springs squeak under his weight. “I can only suck it in so much, Miss Y/L/N.”
You giggled, thankful that he had the ability to lighten the mood.
“Good night, Arthur.”
“Good night, pumpkin.”
