Okay so I decided to read ff1970 because I heard something something dnf movie pitch right and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about

Now it was an ok read, I don’t really think it’s gonna stick with me and I thought the ending would’ve been cooler if George willingly cut ties off with Dream instead of Wilbur forcing them to cut ties off to show growth and maturity because something something metaphor something something flowers

But let me tell you for me the weirdest thing for me isn’t the time warping phone calls, the fact that when you think about the changing future bits for too long it doesn’t really make sense, the boundary breaking, or even the fact that it somehow predicted That Thing that would happen this year

Nah nah nah nah nah, the weirdest thing for me is the throwaway line that the reason George was in Dream’s old house was that he moved to Florida for studies, and then stayed longer ON PURPOSE???? Like girlie why would you want to stay in that place willingly-

#ff1970 #okay but can I just talk about the changing future bits right #so it's shown that dream is changing the future in real time to send stuff to george #but then it's foreshadowed that wilbur was watching him because of notes that dream gave him #so why is that part predetermined but all the other dream changing the future bits happened while they kept talking with each other #if the future was already pre-determined after dream decided to cut ties with george then why did all of that stuff happen in real time #this is why I can't touch time travel plots #the only explanation I can think of so far is that the phone calls were SO time warpy that it allowed real time changing?#because he did write the note when he wasn't in a phone call #sure that's what we're going with
