Warverse TGG Food Headcanons

Pt 1: Angels

Sherbet

While he is fond of all frozen treats, he mainly eats the "plainer" ones at a regular basis (ex. shaved ice, fruit popsicles, and other watered down frozen treats)

Do not feed him ice cream or any really sweet frozen dessert. He will be in a sugar rush for 1 day at least and 7 days at most depending on the type

Ice cream in particular so far yields the longest result

Frozen yoghurt is a strange exception to this. Feed it to Sherbet and it'll act as a temporary power boost

Sherbet carries a few sealed cups of these during battle as emergency rations or last resort escape power ups

He doesn't make a habit of snacking on it after the war started since it's a rare produce

(If there was a game where Sherbet is in the team, there should be a frozen yoghurt as a healing item that heals him more than the other members)

Any and all frozen treats in the White Kingdom are exclusively made/authorized to be made by him, so even if the resources are there, it still takes quite a while for them to be available

Somewhere in the castle, there's one big room that serves as a freezer storage for all the frozen treats he makes

And maybe a section is there for some meat and vegetables as well, he's a flexible guy

Some angels are permitted entry, but only if they're the ones counting and restocking supply

It serves as a job for the angels that aren't capable of fighting for whatever reason

Rigatona (I realized that hers got a bit too long, so she will have a part 2 on her own separate post)

Pasta is a staple for the White Kingdom in the war, as not only is it easy to mass-produce, the dishes related to it are fairly simple while still being delicious and nutritious

Which is why Rigatona becomes an angry italian when anyone messes the recipes up

She's willing to turn a blind eye to anyone who do this in the warfield because resources are scarce and drastic times call for drastic measures

But if she catches you committing sins towards the spaghetti, you'll be half deaf for the next week and will wish you're fully deaf

While she may not look like it, Rigatona is the type of person who puts great importance in overall morale, and one of the best (if not only ways) are in food

Even in war, food are meant to revitalize and a warm meal for a collective dinner is a moment of respite, especially for those who are sick of war

It shows a lot in her cooking, anyone who had it can confirm her pasta is top tier, the best of the best

Before any meal, if Rigatona is present in the dining hall, she would lead prayers, thanking Etihw for her blessings and the chance to eat together

"May this meal gives us the courage and strength to fight another day"

In a way, these dining periods are a religious practice on its own

Part of this is why she despises Cranber, who eats as an act of violence instead of healing, using it to incite fear rather than relieve it

Ciel

If Cranber is in the end of "Will eat anything" picky spectrum, Ciel is her polar opposite

Not because she's extremely picky, but because she's vegan

Even when resources are hard to come by in the war, she still somehow succeeds in her efforts to have a vegan meal every day

And because of the aforementioned fact, Ciel also made it a habit to fast regularly

Remember how Sherbet mainly makes the "plainer" frozen treats? Yeah, part of it is also to keep Ciel from starving should her sources run out

This behavior is also one which Rigatona uses as an example for other soldiers, especially for those complaining about the food (and possibly a newcomer)

"Ciel eats only ONE tofu a day and can still kick your ass, what's your excuse??"

(If there's a game with Ciel in the team, the benefiting effects on a healing item is reduced depending on how vegan they are)

(Example of this is if it's jerky, it is 25% effective, cheesecake is 50% effective, raw meat actually damages her instead)

(Yes, this means prosciutto instakills her, and she can't be revived until the battle is over)

If peace was established earlier, it became a running joke for the six generals that Ciel would not survive a day in the Black Nation, as vegan options there are nonexistent

Which makes her appreciate Lost's apple pie more

Her diet after the war would be much healthier, especially considering things are healing and options are expanding

She would gravitate towards fruits a lot more and would start to develop amazing fruit food and drink recipes

He’d be so horribly uncomfortable if he had to do that.”  “Keeping the bride waiting on her wedding night?” He hears himself ask, still shockingly bitter for all that he set up this whole relationship to begin with.  “She’s waiting for both of us. I left the premises of drunken debauchery sober, half an hour ago.” A-Xu glances at him, an arm still over his shoulders even as he drags Nie Huaisang off down the hallway. “You, on the other hand, waited for another half hour and got drunk in the meantime. Who’s the fool between the two of us, Sang-ge?”  He hasn’t really the words to argue with that, so he tries a different tactic. “Maybe she’ll have realized this was a stupid idea,” he hears himself say. “After all, everyone knows that you shouldn’t introduce your wife and your mistress to each other.”  “You’re not my mistress.” A-Xu’s grip on his arm tightens. “Sang-ge, what sort of nonsense do you think we occupy? Is it comparable to a rich man’s insistence on having a harem?”  “I would make an excellent concubine,” Nie Huaisang says, feeling more miserable by the second. “I’m a useless good for nothing.”  A-Xu pauses to stare at him for a moment as though he’d grown a second head. “We’ve come too far for you to have cold feet.” 

Basically Da-ge!NHS is always 80% dead of his various health issues, in a polycule with Wen Xu and He Qiao (from the Tingshan He sect, yes, that Tingshan He sect), the Jianghu's most scandalous sect leader (imagine him as a horrible goose), completely shit at politics, and convinced that in his next life he should get to be a spoiled concubine who does nothing ever.

Hey @revolvius, could you explain to me about this AU? It's just that I found it interesting and I'm too lazy to do a thorough research on it so I decided to ask you.

Oh that's not just an AU, that's an entire Alternate Multiverse by my buddy @toxictoxicities / @warverse

The story is about Error being manipulated by a mysterious person to break the truce and ended the multiverse, and the aftermath of that is a lot of people being stranded in a strange new world. Most of them take on different personalities and traits, oh, and also guns and weapons.

Go check them out, they got some really nice art style to support the series. And yes, they do have a comic series on it which is good in my opinion -Also I think they're making a game for it but IDK since they're working on it alone-

Rivetra Week Day 02 | Parents

Warverse: Though they have very different roles to play, Levi and Petra learn they have come to the wrong side for the same reason.

“Do you ever regret it?”

Petra allowed her shoes to drop from her feet as she pulled her legs up onto the chaise and tucked them beneath her, pulling a decorative pillow to her chest and giving it a squeeze.

“Corporal?”

She wasn't accustomed to being alone with him, not for extended periods of time, and she found his question odd. On the rare occasions they held conversation, he never asked her such personal questions and she was’t quite sure of the context of this one.

Levi moved to the door, reaching for the lock switch, then thinking better of it. A locked door would make their position appear as it wasn’t and he had no reason to give Balthazar Ral cause to distrust him or the girl held prisoner before him.

“Trading in your freedom,” he clarified, “for your father’s life.”

“Oh,” she said, lowering her head to the pillow and looking somewhere beside his knees, “no.”

He didn’t answer and she sat up, unable to find a comfortable position on the couch in her own home, or at least the home she was forced to keep.

“He didn’t give me very much of a choice,” she admitted, “Balthazar, that is.”

Though he kept silent, she could see it in the way he fidgeted slightly with a doily by the side table that he wished for her to keep speaking, to fill the silence with the answer to a question he struggled with himself.

“He was going to take me no matter what. I had a choice to comply and let Papá get arrested for trying to save me, or to refuse the captain’s demand, watch my father die, and be taken anyway. I did what. . .” she paused to sigh, “I did what I thought was best.”

“You were twelve.”

“I was scared.”

“So he’s just rotting away in a jail cell somewhere then, huh? A one armed teacher from the bell tower.”

Petra pursed her lips, locking her eyes with his, a fiery defiance rising up in her features, Levi’s favourite expression.

“I will see him freed,” she told him, “someday. Somehow I will find a way to save him."

“What if he’s already dead?”

He watched her squeeze the pillow a little tighter, an unconscious effort of reassurance. It wasn’t something she had ever considered, something she kept far far from her mind, working through her days as best she could, keeping strong so she might see him again.

“Why would you say something like that?” she demanded, her tone losing some of it’s stability, upset rising in her chest.

Levi didn’t answer this, looking to the doily again, playing the cotton between his fingers.

“My mother is sick,” he said quietly, “or was. I don’t know.”

Petra relaxed, waiting for him to say more. When he didn’t, she curled up tighter on the sofa.

“When did you find out?”

He tapped this thumb against the side table, a soft inaudible rhythm that displayed his discomfort. He’d said too much. He shouldn’t be confiding in this girl. He’d made his choice and now he had to follow through, to do everything they asked of him, just as she must, for his mother’s sake.

“When I was fourteen.”

Petra’s lips parted in a silent gasp.

Six years ago.

“Is that why you enlisted then,” she asked, “are they helping her?”

Levi cleared his throat and stood. This conversation was uncomfortable. He shouldn’t have started it. Petra was a kind but curious woman. She didn’t ask questions for her own benefit, but to know how to better help those around her. She meant no harm in prying, but reasons were harsh truths Levi had yet to willingly swallow.

“Medicine is expensive,” he said, crossing his arms, voice terse.

For all her curiosity, Petra did not overstep. Instead, she sighed, laying her head down on the arm of the couch.

“Yes,” she agreed, “as is prison.”

Info dump again. I kind of lost some of my motivation to turn the CAREFREE story into a comic or animatic. If I did then that would be cool. But if not then I might just leave you guys hanging. It's no one's fault. I just can't focus on one thing at a time that's all. But I might write the story either here or on my Wattpad. Its a pretty short story now that I think about it. I have the rough story of it. I just need to write in a more... creative way I suppose. But yes. I have a problem with focusing. Its just a me thing. Anyway, here's some info dump without anyone asking. Cross was Saber's former trainer. (I like calling him Sabi and so are Killer)
