Someone will break your tiny little rules: chew too loud, talk to much. Someone will jump, fully clothed, into the moat you dug outside — it’s not that deep. Lower the stakes of your love. Why so much pressure? Why not have pleasure on your way to the one? Or the second one? Or the third? Love is the warmest weather. Why not open the windows? Feel the sun on your skin. Don’t kill this love. Slide a little paper under the glass — let a few bugs in.

Water Made Us, Jamila Woods (2023)
Tumblr media
The primary theme of Water Made Us is the end of romantic relationships, and while it is as much about our emotions in the face of them and eventual reflections, it is also about how those we love (in a non-romantic fashion) provide solace and support; as such, it has clichés – after all, don’t all our friends resort to cliché sometimes? –  but in all ends up cementing the human beauty of support, appreciation. In that, Jamila Woods has produced something really quite wonderful.

Jamila Woods’ ‘Tiny Garden’ beautifully blooms into a lush green jungle.
Featuring duendita, the singer’s exuberant new clip has her celebrating the little things we do for those we love, splitting between mundane domesticity and the serene beauty of nature as Woods expresses her romantic joy through the art of dance.
Says Woods (via Stereogum):
‘Tiny Garden is a song about the way my heart works, the slow and steady way I love. In my directorial debut I wanted to create a visual representation of how I often feel in relationships, like I’m having huge feelings that I end up expressing in small specific ways.’

Jamila Woods’ upcoming album Water Made Us is out October 13 via Jagjaguwar.

Jamila Woods – Webster Hall – February 18, 2024
Tumblr media
With just a few remaining dates in her February tour in support of last year’s universally acclaimed Water Made Us, Chicago singer-songwriter-poet Jamila Woods filled Webster Hall with her stellar brand of soulful R&B on Sunday night.

sooooo fun watching joel and zedaph interact. a hermit whose only experience with breaking minecraft is getting obsessed with the chisels and bits mod for a while VS a hermit who could figure out how to play minecraft with all his limbs restricted ingame and irl. hermit who spends 1/3 of his year doing megabuilds alone and hermit who only goes out of his hole bases to run redstone experiments. awesome

Since I drew Curufin, I wanted to make some proper designs also for other sons of Fëanor. But I had no time and when I had I didn't liked my sketches and ideas.
But atlast here goes Maglor, playing hudry-gudry♡
