Strategic Project Management
Many discussions about project management overlook the significance of the crucial early choices that shape the project execution approach. Decisions such as employing Agile or Waterfall methodologies, or choosing between prefabrication and on-site assembly, may not alter the expected project output, but they can greatly affect the delivery process and the project’s likely success. There’s no…

Waterfall vs Agile: Which One is Better For Your Business?
Tumblr media
Waterfall and Agile are the two most important and popular project management approaches in the modern software development world. Both development approaches follow the most practical methods to complete a project in the most efficient way, but their principles and dynamics are quite the opposite of each other.
Therefore, the key difference between Agile and Waterfall that you need to be aware of are as follows:
The Waterfall method uses a sequential approach, whereas Agile uses an incremental one.
The Waterfall approach will be used to complete software development as a single project. Agile places a strong emphasis on completing the project as a collection of various projects.
Agile team members excel at collaborating and communicating effectively. On the other hand, Waterfall teams work with a limited scope of synchronization.
In Agile project management, developers test the product in each sprint. Contrarily, the Waterfall process does not allow testing until developers build the entire software product.
Waterfall is not as flexible as Agile because each stage needs to be fully completed before you move on to the next stage. Contrastingly, flexibility is built into the Agile method.  The method welcomes adapting to different directions, incorporating new features even at a later phase of the project.
To sum up, Agile and Waterfall are two distinct project management techniques that work best for specific kinds of projects.

Hola! You’re freaking awesome and I’m loving your writing. I’m amazed you can put out so much and I hope you ain’t overdoing it. Seeing that you can do Rain I was wondering if you could do something with him meeting an Earthrealm woman with a fuller figure (larger chest, wider hips, plush thighs) you could also say chubby (definitely not me projecting). He is surprised he is kind of into that and how desperate he is to put his face in between her tits. He gets curious and wants to know how she feels and maybe figure out why he is so desperate, saying it’s just a little experiment. He manages to charm her into going to bed with him and he finds out he’s hella into it. Just loving how soft she is and how he is able to squish almost anything on her body. After that his perception on Earthrealm is that they aren’t all that bad and he will do anything just to see her again and have her in bed.
curious about your softness
a/n: was feeling rather fluffy as i wrote this
pairing: rain x gn!reader
warnings: none :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you arrive with the rest of the Earthrealm defenders, tagging behind Raiden and taking your time to survey the surroundings of the throne room
your eyes only skirt over him, taking in his broad shoulders and mage staff before you observe the rest of the Outworlders, but he cannot take his eyes off you
you look so different from the rest of the Earthrealmers, softer and rounder, but he can see the strength in your body as you cross your arms and give Reiko a hard glare
while the rest of the defenders certainly had their fair share of softness, muscles protected by thin layers of fat, they were lean, thin, slim, just like most of the Outworlders
however, you do not fit the archetype of a typical warrior, and Rain only watches you as Raiden battles Reiko the court and wins every single fight
he wonders if you’re just as soft as you look, what you sound like, what you look like underneath all the armor, if you had freckles, moles, marks on your skin
at the banquet, he tries to sit as close as possible to you, but you’re sandwiched right between Kung Lao and Kenshi
every time he tries to get close, someone always blocks his way, and he was starting to feel desperate to even talk to you
why was he so desperate to talk to you?
Rain shakes off the thought as he walks through the imperial gardens, trying to rid you from his mind
he has plans with General Shao and Shang Tsung, and he must concentrate on harnessing his powers and not getting distracted by the curves of your body
his training had taken a toll ever since you had arrived, and he could not afford to fail his mission because of you
he turns the corner in the path toward the waterfall to listen to the sound of rushing water and trickle of water to calm his mind
the sound of water starts to fill the air along, and he lets out a breath, feeling the familiar power of water fill his veins
brushing past a bush, he freezes when he sees a figure by the water, shoes discarded and legs swaying in the water of the lake, and his heart stutters when he realizes it’s you
you turn your head at the sound of the leaves rustling, and there’s not a single expression on your face to indicate surprise when you see him in the bushes
you simply turn away from him and continue to look at the water sparkling underneath the moonlight, and Rain doesn’t know whether he should continue with his plan or retreat
he cannot retreat, if he is to have bravery to try and usurp the throne, he could not back out of his safe space simply because someone else was there
walking up to the edge of the pond, Rain puts down his staff and sits cross-legged near you but not next to you, and he places his hands on his knees and closes his eyes
he tries to meditate, to focus on the flow and power of the water rushing through him to tweak his own powers
but his thoughts are polluted by thoughts of you, thoughts of you in the water, droplets clinging to your skin and sliding down your curves
his eyes snap open as he realizes a warmth covers his cheeks, and he would not be able to concentrate on honing his powers with you around
Rain presses his lips together, not wanting to leave so early because he didn’t want to offend you, but he wouldn’t be able to concentrate with you here
glancing over to you, he sees you aimlessly staring at the water, and he can’t help but turn to stare at your beauty, how the moonlight frames your hair and your face perfectly
you look relaxed, content without the usual stress he saw etched into your face as you watched the fights or anytime you were out in public
then, your body turns to him, and your eyes stare directly into his, piercing through him and staring right into his soul, as if digging out his innermost secrets and his forgotten ambitions and dreams
you ask him if he needs anything, and he lets out a strangled sound to stall for time as his tongue stumbles for articulated words to try and impress you
except no words come to him, so he just stares at you dumbly with an expression that makes you snort
his face flushes, and he’s started to sweat underneath his hood
you hold your hand out to him, introducing yourself and giving him your name, and Rain takes it, giving you his name and hoping his voice didn’t sound too scratchy
turning back to look at the water, you ask if he also couldn’t sleep, and he wants to say he can’t sleep because you plague his every thought
Rain bites his tongue and just agrees softly, saying that he’s been troubled and the waterfall helped to calm his mind
you hum in agreement and splash your feet in the water, a silence falling upon the two of you, but he wants to hear you more, wants to hear your sweet voice
running through questions in his head, he blurts out the first one he can think of: how were you liking Outworld so far
you look back at him, humming as you think, and then you finally answer that you like the food here, it’s different from your hometown but very filling and delicious
then you go on and say that the culture here though is beautiful and full of colors, and it’s very captivating to see what you had learned about at the Wu Shi Academy but in real life
Rain nods as you keep talking, drinking in every word you speak, and he moves a little closer to hear you better
the moon passes overhead as the two of you talk and talk, and soon the sun peaks over the horizon as you two get back up to head to your respective rooms
before you can go, already back toward the bushes to leave, he asks if he can see you again here tomorrow night before you go back to Earthrealm
you face him again and nod, telling him to meet you here when the sun goes down, and then you leave, quiet as a murmur back to your room
Rain looks into the small pond and sees his reflection and nearly cringes at the sight
he looks like a mess, dark eyebags and slightly mussed hair from taking it out of his usual ponytail, and he quickly hurries back to his room to make himself look presentable for the court
the day was long and exhausting, and he was just about over it
still, there was a festival tonight, and he had to be present for the opening ceremony at the very least
donning his nice robes and checking that his mage staff still looked presentable, Rain made his way to the heart of the town and stepped up onto the stage near the princesses
his eyes looked upon the crowd, the sun starting to dip below the horizon, and he waited for Empress Sindel to give her speech and to let the festivities start
the second they cleared him to leave, Rain nearly sprinted off the stage, feeling rather uncomfortable with the amount of eyes on him
too much studying and not enough socializing had left Rain with little to no social skills, and yet he was still able to bring you back for another conversation tonight
he rushed off to the gardens, the sky a brilliant collage of dark reds and yellows colliding into a simmering sunset
making his way through the brush, Rain spotted you with your feet in the water, wearing something much fancier than last night
it hugs your curves, showing off every bit of you, and he feels his mouth go dry when you turn and beckon him over to sit next to you
he does so gladly, crossing his feet and setting his staff off to the side, and you start with small pleasant conversation
the two of you exchange useless meaningless conversation, but he collects every drop of information he can get from you: from your favorite time of the day to your favorite color
he listens until the moon is high in the sky again, and the conversation lulls into a comfortable silence
you’re leaning back, hands in the stone flooring that encircles the pond, and Rain’s hand is right next to yours
if he just moved it slightly, his hand would be on top of yours
his heart nearly beats out of his chest at the thought, and he instead draws his hand a little further from yours
he wanted to feel your softness, your fullness, your everything
he wanted every part of you dearly, and his eyes travel over the patterns and details sewn into the outfit you have on
you sigh and hum, kicking the water with your feet and move your hand, fingers brushing against his, but you don’t move them
they’re warm compared to his skin, and Rain doesn’t move a single muscle
the two of you just sit side by side in silence until you move your arms and stretch out your back, groaning at the feeling before standing up
you say that you need to start heading back, Liu Kang was expecting you and the others to be back in about an hour, and Rain quickly stands up next to you, brushing off dust from his pants
he holds out his hand, not sure why he does so, and you have a confused look on your face, brows turned upward with a small nervous smile
you still take his hand, and Rain kisses the back of your fingers, heart beating much too fast and face much too warm to be normal
your face has gone warm as well, and your mouth is slightly parted as you look up at him with wide eyes
he asks you when he can see you again, he’d love to show you around Sun Do properly instead of being cooped up in the palace due to safeguarding
you say you’re not sure, but you take your hand away from his and dig into your pockets and hand him a small charm
in a soft voice, you tell him that you had just bought it at the market during the beginning of the festival for some reason, and now you know why
Rain holds it up, and it glows a light purple, like him
you tell him that you’ll be coming back for it, so he better be here when you come and visit again
Rain holds the charm and asks to walk you out, and you hold your arm out for him to take
the two of you walk back to the portal with dopey smiles on your faces

“…Bepo?”
Law blinked, almost staggering back, but managing to keep his footing in the ankle-deep water. He would recognise Bepo’s fur anywhere, no matter what. He’d spent enough time over the years lounging against it, after all. But as his eyes trailed upwards, journeying higher and higher, dread began to settle in the pit of his stomach. He knew this form. He knew the flowing waterfall of pure white hair that seemed to glide about in the air as the mountainous form turned, knew the angular cut of his snout, wrinkled with razor sharp teeth, knew that growl- (Shit, it was just one thing after another…)

Some more art for you all!
I'm working on commissions, but I'm also working on personal projects in between them as warmups and cooldowns?
And this one is for that same CoraLaw fic, named Saudade, which is a phenomenal rated M, Adult Law/Cora, fix it fic, written by Alilman_writes on Ao3, that my last commission was from. Once again, gorgeously written with phenomenal character development, an interesting plot, and stunning scenes like this one above that keeps you gripped the whole time!
That said, my commissions are still open, so feel free to shoot me a message if you'd like to get something done! I have a small queue currently, but I'm more than happy to hear what you'd like to get done and add you to it.
Next post should be a commission piece, so keep an eye out for it.💕

backburner, sunwoo
the boyz sunwoo x gn! reader angst wc: 2k warnings: drinking a/n: ...hello
Tumblr media
One, two, three.
One, two, three.
One, two, three.
You don't know when you started counting, but it felt like it's only been a day.
It's been weeks.
It's been weeks- two, to be specific, when he last messaged you. Not that it matters; you only wanted to know whether he's dead or alive.
Right?
That's how it has always been.
"Can you..." Sua begrudgingly turns your phone facing the table, incoherently swearing, "...please stop looking at your phone?! It's been weeks, for heaven's sake!"
"Sorry." And it's been a waterfall of apologies for your friend. "I'm just worried."
"That's the problem! You're always worried about him, but the fuck does he even do for you?" Sua sighs, getting ready for the hundredth talk about your situationship. "He messages you when it's convenient for him. Meanwhile you, you're ready to drop even the biggest things just for him! Is a screw gone loose in your head?"
"Sua, I know. Believe me... I know. I just... I don't know." You could only sigh back, not having any words to explain the right feeling. But you swore you know, you just don't know how to explain it.
"The fuck are you saying? Hey, look. I'm sorry for the choice of words but... aren't you a bit sorry for yourself? One, you missed a project deadline because he wanted you to pick him up from a bar because he was dead drunk, what is he, a kid? Two, you missed four plates from, let me emphasize, one subject- a major one that is! Just because he was crying and only wanted you to have to talk some sense to him, about another person! And three, and I hope it is the last, you managed to fail a minor subject because you didn't get to pass the only activity you've been nonstop doing for weeks, just because when the day of the deadline hit, your Sunwoo was borderline dead because of his flu. Again, what is he, a kid?!"
Sua was indeed fuming. Besides the fact that she just rambled, she was red in anger. Yet you stayed quiet because... she was right.
Nothing she said was wrong, everything she said was on point.
Yet why... why does it feel like you can and will do it all over again, when it came to Sunwoo?
While you calmed her down with a stroke in the hand, mumbling continuous apologies, you bring her a glass of water and assist her to the bed.
"I get it, I get it. Come on, it's our pajama night in months, let's just not talk about it." You coo, trying to get her back to her good mood.
Well, not until your phone vibrated.
You jumped off the bed in a flash, checking your phone.
sw: asjkdlalkklj
The single message was all it took before you rang his phone, took your coat and wore your running shoes, shouting an apology to your friend and getting your keys in an instant.
"Hello?" An unfamiliar voice picks the phone up, "This is the bar's manager. We've only got to open his phone right now, but it has been an hour since we've been trying to get mister to go home. We're letting this off the hook since he's a regular." The manager doesn't even give you a second before he drops the bar's details, and hanging up the phone.
You sigh, starting your car's engines and chuckling when you see Sua peeking out of your window and throwing you a middle finger, before you drove off.
Tumblr media
You immediately, shamefully bow your head to apologize at the staff while you scram your way to Sunwoo, who had his head down at the counter and lips smacking continuously as if still savoring the bitter taste of the alcohol he had just been drinking.
You sigh, it all felt like deja vu.
"Sunwoo." You shake his shoulders, careful not too much in case he vomits on your car like the first time. "Come on, I'll get you home. I just need you to wake up for a minute."
"No!" He swats your hand away with his eyes closed, facing the other way. "Not going... until y/n's here..."
You sigh again. You thought, is it even going to be the same person you're finding when you're sober?
Swallowing the lump on your throat, you ease up a smile and lower your back to his level.
"I'm here. It's y/n." You pat his back and he gets his one eye open to peek at you. He inevitably bursts into the biggest smile and jumps at you.
"It's y/n! y/n is here!" He sing-sang and you finally get ahold of him, bowing once again for the man as you assist him back to your car. "I missed you."
Sure he did. When he's drunk.
"Sunwoo, here, drink some water first." You hand him a newly opened bottle of water, tugging on his jacket as he tightly hugs the seatbelt.
"I don't want to," He whines, keeping his arms away from you.
"Please?" With a coo, Sunwoo finally takes the bottle and gulps it at once, giving you the empty bottle back as he succumbs to the warmth of your carseat.
You sigh. Again. The things you're willing to do for a man who only needs you.
Sunwoo stirs on his sit, eyes squinting everywhere.
"Sober?" You put your phone back to your pocket after writing Sua a long paragraph apologizing.
"Oh, y/n." He giggles, moving in his seat to face you. "Hi."
"Can I drive now? I don't want you vomiting all over the place because of your motion sickness."
"How long have you been waiting?" You hand him another bottle of water, finally starting the engine.
"Almost an hour."
"That long? I'm sorry," Sunwoo coos, reaching for your resting arm. He caresses it sweetly and you don't give an effort to avoid it. "How's my y/n been doing?"
"Bad. I've been missing you." You reply with no hesitation, eyes not leaving the road. You've always been this honest with him, it wasn't something new you spoke your feelings.
"Oh. Sorry about that. Just busy," Sunwoo gives you a small smile, retracting his warm hand. It didn't make sense that every time Sunwoo made an excuse of ghosting you, you still believe him.
Why?
Because the moment he gets drunk, he thinks of you.
At least, he thinks of you.
"Can I stay at yours for the night? I don't feel like staying alone tonight." Sunwoo changes the topic while you stop at a red light, raising your brows at him. "Please?" His playful whine makes you chuckle, giving in.
Times like this he didn't need to give you an explanation.
No- actually, if it came to Sunwoo, you didn't need anything. Explanation, excuses, reasons, anything. If it was Sunwoo, you'd drop everything for him.
Because who were you kidding? This is Sunwoo we're talking about.
"Hey, we're here." You shake his shoulder lightly after turning the engine off, smiling at him. "Can you walk?"
"Of course, you're talking to Sunwoo." He chuckles, removing the seatbelt.
He can't. He was too drowsy to eve take a step out. So you had to assist him by the arm until you're inside the flat, making him lay on the bed.
You prepare a warm water and a towel to wipe Sunwoo's face when you notice a note stuck by the magnet on the refrigerator, written by your lovely friend.
Next time I see you get ready for an ice cold bath from yours truly, in hopes of trying to get you in touch with reality.
PS: schedule another pajama night or you're dead !!!
You chuckle as you hide the note behind another bigger note, getting what you came for in the kitchen and another glass of water and his medicine to take when he wakes up.
You gently place the warm-wet towel on his forehead, waiting for any reaction to get nothing so you continue to wipe his face, and next his hands.
When you were done, getting up from beside him, you felt him swiftly tug your middle finger.
"You're going to sleep beside me, right?"
"Huh?" Sunwoo's eyes open for a second and close again, as if only to confirm it was you beside him.
"Your curtain's scary. Please sleep beside me. The couch is uncomfortable to sleep on, too."
"I sleep there all the time, Sunwoo. It's fine,"
"Not you. Me. You're not letting me sleep there, and I'm not letting you sleep there. So let's stay here together." Sunwoo's nonchalance is breaking you to pieces.
If it wasn't the nth time did this to you, you yourself know that if it was the past you, you would be feeling all over the place and giddy, above all that.
But no. This time around, it was breaking you to pieces.
Because this time, realizations come to mind.
Like how it wasn't all a big deal for him. This. All of this. Like it was all normal between... friends. Or are you even friends? Borderline lovers?
Whatever you two are- it was clear. He didn't feel the same way you do. He doesn't look at you the same way you do.
"Okay." But you're fine with it. "I will." You will always be fine with it.
And that's the problem with you.
When it came to Sunwoo, you will always fold.
"Okay. Let me get some sleep first okay? Make sure you come sleep beside me!" He giddily makes himself comfortable inside the blanket, going to dreamland with a smile.
Leaving you with a forced one.
You only sigh as you clean yourself up, washing your face with cold water and looking at yourself in the mirror. "You're pathetic." You whisper, feeling disappointed of yourself.
The people around you took good care of you fondly up until now, and you let yourself be pathetic over one guy who only contacts you when it's convenient for him? You remember Sua's words perfectly, because that's where it hit home.
You grew up with so much love and care, yet you fail to see your worth over one guy.
You heave another heavy sigh, opening your eyes to trace Sunwoo's facial features with your eyes.
"How come it had to be you?" You whisper, stopping your tears before it even dropped.
And just like that, the night continued.
Sunwoo wakes up at around 6 in the morning because of his phone continuously vibrating inside his jacket, grabbing it with his free hand to take the call.
Before he answers, he takes a good look at you and chucked. Sunwoo ended up hogging the whole blanket (you rather gave everything to him) so you were snuggling beside him, making his other arm your personal pillow.
He carefully places you down to the pillow and covers you with a blanket, letting the ring end and going outside the bedroom to call back.
After the phone call, he sneaks back in the bedroom to see you soundly sleeping, taking his things and leaving a note on your bedside table.
He takes a while as he stares at you, giving you a small smile.
He knows what he's done, what he's been doing- yet he can't stop. He loves the thrill, he loves the feeling that someone is willing to do everything for him. That's it.
But that doesn't mean he didn't feel sorry for you, for what he has been doing with you. And it doesn't mean he doesn't feel sorry that he can't return your feelings.
He knows, of course. Only a rock wouldn't know how you felt towards him.
"I'm sorry this time too, y/n." He caresses your cheeks before leaving, making sure to lock your door.
After a few minutes, you sniff your tears away right in the morning.
"Sorry, huh." You chuckle bittersweetly, looking at the note he left for you.
I'm going out with Chanyi today, she asked me to breakfast! Thank you y/n, sorry I had to leave early, you were sleeping cutely~
I'll contact you!
And with that, your getaway was done.
Your bed was left empty, your apartment empty,
and you, empty.
But you knew you'd do it all over again.

Agile vs. Waterfall: What Is the Difference?
Agile vs. Waterfall: What Is the Difference?
Agile and Waterfall are two different approaches to project management. Agile is a project management approach focused on flexibility and continuous delivery. It is based on delivering small pieces of working software frequently rather than trying to deliver everything at once at the end of the project. Agile approaches encourage collaboration and adaptability, and they value working software…

18 — huh yunjin
summary : inspired by the song 18 by one direction
pairing : yunjin x reader

word count : 3.7k
Tumblr media
"are you ready?"
yunjin snapped out of her racing incomprehensible thoughts as stood in front of the mirror, tearing her gaze away from the item in her palm to look at her leader, who gave her a soft smile. she cleared her throat and returned her gaze to the mirror in front of her, fixing her hair as an excuse to avoid chaewon's comforting eyes.
"yeah, i'll be out in a bit, unnie."
the leader met sakura's eyes from across the hall. "alright. we'll wait for you outside."
yunjin caught sight of her own eyes in the mirror, memories swirling into her brown orbs as she gazed. the memories she treasured, the memories that brought her so much joy, the memories that completed her heart, the memories that made her cry because she loved them all so much.
yunjin remembered everything in that brief moment. the memories, everything, slammed into her as if she were standing beneath waterfalls or watching the waves crash against the sandy shore of a beach. it was that intense; she had no idea recalling something could be that intense.
as her heart pounded hard against her ribcage, yunjin took it all in, watching it all as if it were a short scene from a movie.
i got a heart and i got a soul
believe me, i will use them both
"unnie, just ask her out."
eunchae bounced excitedly in her seat, shaking yunjin beside her as kazuha turned around to take a peek at you, which was a little obvious, causing yunjin to reach out and smack the japanese ballerina. kazuha turned around with an offended expression on her face, both of them slightly amused as yunjin's cheeks flared red in embarrassment, not helping the desire to take another longing glance at you.
"stop looking at her." yunjin hissed.
"i was just looking around?" kazuha reasoned.
yunjin gave her one last look before slumping back in her seat, arms crossed across her chest and a small pout on her lips.
she had seen you a few times in this coffee shop. she'd see you in the corner, hidden away from the world, typing on the keyboard of your laptop with a focused frown on your lips whenever she stopped by to order after her training. as creepy as it sounds, she would occasionally stay for a few moments to catch a glimpse of you.
kazuha and eunchae exchanged a glance as they noticed her casting another glance your way, having had enough of yunjin's cowardice. the two youngest teamed up and continued to convince yunjin throughout their time at the coffee shop, breathing in and out of frustration when she simply shrugged her shoulders in response.
unfortunately for them, they were unable to convince yunjin. however, just as it was time to leave, eunchae had this brilliant idea.
the young girl managed to push yunjin out of her seat and into your arms as you passed by, hoping to get another order because you decided to stay longer to work on your other projects, when instead you got a flying brunette. you caught her, eyes wide as you stared at her shocked expression, her face slowly burning in realization as she realized what had happened.
"i'm so sorry!" yunjin yelped, flying out of your arms to give you a deep bow, giving eunchae a look in the process, to which the maknae sheepishly grinned.
you returned it with a gentle smile. "it's fine. can i help you with anything?"
yunjin had no idea where she got her confidence. maybe it's because kazuha and eunchae have been instilling false hope in her head the entire time and for the past few days. the words had flown out of her mouth before she realized it, her face turning redder than usual as a surprised look rose to your face.
"can i get your number?"
you blinked in surprise. you've seen her around, too. you must admit that she is stunning. however, you were so preoccupied with your schoolwork that you didn't have much time to think about it.
when you took a long time to respond because you were gathering your currently scattered thoughts, yunjin went to speak to take it all back, feeling embarrassed for even asking, but you beat her to it with a smile, making yunjin fall for you even more.
"of course, miss…?
"yunjin. huh yunjin." she rushed to take your hand, and she felt the need to melt right away as she felt your soft skin and warmth enveloping her with a single touch of a hand.
"miss huh yunjin. and i'm y/n l/n." you finished and glanced at her friends. she did the same to see them smiling and waving at you, which you returned with a soft smile.
"however, i had no idea that flying into the arms of a complete stranger was a new way of flirting."
we made a start, be it a false one, i know
baby, i don't want to feel alone
you were quick to make plans with yunjin. normally, you'd be wary, but she seemed so sweet, and she's so beautiful, that you couldn't help but give her a chance. yunjin was overjoyed when she received the message, squealing so loudly that a few of the other company employees ran over to check on her.
you went on a date, with yunjin taking you to places where you could find solace because, after seeing you in that coffee shop for weeks, she knew you'd prefer places like the one where you met.
she had butterflies the entire time, and so did you. holding hands, giggling like little girls, exchanging smiles, staring when the other wasn't looking, blushing when the other did something cute, and other such antics.
you had fun and were quick to like her.
yunjin fell deeper and was over the moon.
unfortunately, that day had to come to an end quickly, and you dropped her off, promising to see her again soon. yunjin waited for you to leave before releasing the squeal she'd been holding in all day, punching the air excitedly, causing kazuha and eunchae, who were waiting for her, to laugh at the older girl's silly reactions.
in her defense, you were really amazing today and treated her well.
so kiss me where i lay down
my hands pressed to your cheeks
yunjin found herself walking next to you in the middle of the night on the third date. you had taken her to an arcade, where she became tired because both of you were too competitive and wouldn't back down from a challenge, even if it was from another couple, which you were quick to accept and team up against, eventually winning.
so she was tired, but really happy.
you wrapped your arms around her waist, allowing her to lean against you for support. the entire walk was silent, both of you basking in each other's comforting warmth as the cold air of the night brushed against your skin.
you arrived quickly because the walk was short and yunjin drew back, but she kept your hand in hers, her thumb caressing the back of your hand.
"thank you for today, y/n/n." yunjin said, pulling you in closer.
you hummed, shyly returning her smile because she was a little too close to you, not that you mind her proximity at all. you squeezed her hand.
"thank you, yunjin-ie." you said quietly.
yunjin looked down at your lips, which you didn't miss, shuffling around in panic, your heart thudding nervously in your chest.
yunjin didn't know how she got to the third date without incident, but she couldn't do it any longer. your enticing eyes, plump lips, red cheeks, soft hands, tight koala hugs, soothing warmth, sweet words, adorable habits, and so on.
she adored everything.
with a quick glance at you, waiting for your consent, which you gave with a small nod, yunjin grabbed your face into her hands and her lips were quick to claim yours. you gripped her waist with one hand and gripped her wrist with the other to keep yourself grounded because you could feel your sanity slowly slipping away as her lips caressed yours softly.
yunjin's face pinched, holding you impossibly close, unable to let you go.
and so the moon and stars witnessed your first passionate kiss.
a long way from the playground
you were the first to pull away, your lungs screaming at you, and yunjin chased you, but stopped when you chuckled and rested your brow against her cheek. her warm breath hit your ear as yours hit her neck, causing prickling goosebumps to appear all over her skin.
"you waited a bit long for that, huh?" you joked.
yunjin grinned, watching you raise your head and returning your giddy smile. she gestured to you playfully, as if showing you off to a crowd of people. "i mean, look at you. you can't blame me, i was scared."
you chuckled and pulled her in.
"don't be scared. kiss me again."
i have loved you since we were eighteen
"how's practice?"
yunjin collided with you, causing you to pause your typing on your laptop. you were going to sleep over tonight, and she also let you stay for the day to work on your backlogs while she did company training. yunjin wrapped her arms around your shoulders, burying her nose in your hair to inhale the familiar shampoo you used on your hair, which was now also on her pillows as a result of how frequently you'd stayed over for the past few days.
"tiring." yunjin mumbled, exhaustion evident in her voice.
yunjin quietly watched you, humming in content, as you quickly saved your work. you stood up and turned around, your brow raised at her satisfied grin and happy expression. you laughed at her ridiculous antics as you led her to her bed, allowing her to hold you close to her chest.
long before we both thought the same thing
to be loved and to be in love
"i'm sorry i couldn't spend much time with you."
you chuckled and gently hit her exposed stomach, which was exposed because her hoodie had ridden up when she pulled you down onto the bed with her. you reached up to pinch yunjin's cheeks as she drew back to look at you with puppy eyes.
"idiot, who do you think i am?" you asked, brows raised.
yunjin's pout grew bigger. "my girlfriend."
"exactly. i understand, baby. don't worry." you reassured and patted her cheeks continuously, only stopping when her pout finally disappeared.
yunjin drew you close and curled down to rest her brow on yours, lovingly gazing into your eyes. to comfort the tired girl, you returned the same intensity, hand squeezing her upper arm and leaning up to plant small kisses on her lips, which she would pucker up.
all i can do is say that these arms were made for holdin' you, oh
i wanna love like you made me feel
"debut is near, huh?" you whispered, worry swimming in your eyes.
yunjin simply hummed.
"are you excited?" you queried.
yunjin bit her lower lip. she knew that you were aware that something was wrong, and she was unsure whether she should be grateful. she didn't keep her problems from you, but she'd rather deal with them on her own.
however, with you looking worried like the concerned girlfriend you are, yunjin broached the subject that had been bothering her since she was told she'd be in the lineup.
"i promise i'll make time for you."
you expected it, both her words and the fact that she'd be busy in the near future due to her career, so you held her face, thumbs gently brushing across her cheeks. yunjin enjoyed your warmth and leaned against your touch as you spoke.
you smiled. "i know, jen, i understand. but you need to promise me another thing."
"which is? anything, my love."
"i want you to be open with me. tell me, let me know anything and everything, and update me from time to time. understand?"
yunjin nodded obediently. "i promise, love. i swear."
when we were eighteen
you went quiet, satisfied. you just stared at each other, touches received and given, warm breaths intermingling in the remaining space between you two. until yunjin broke the peaceful silence.
"i love you."
"i love you, too."
we took a chance, god knows we've tried
"yunjin, i thought i told you to let me know?"
in response to your frustrated question, yunjin ran her hand through her hair, turning around to face you, causing you to bump into her, and she quickly reached out to steady you, albeit still stressed due to their debut preparation.
"i was busy, y/n." yunjin argued back.
"you think i didn't know that?"
your voice was weak, indicating you were getting tired. yunjin looked at you, having avoided your teary eyes because she knew you were correct. she promised months ago to tell you, to let you know anything and everything, and to keep you updated, which she has all but failed to do in the last few days. however, her pride and stress were both impeding her reconciliation with you.
"i just wanted to know if you're okay. can't you tell me that?"
you sighed, tired, and yunjin panicked when you turned around, fingers wrapping around your wrist. you were pulled back into yunjin's body, her arms quickly wrapping around your waist. you stood motionless as the soon-to-be-debuting american clung to you, her face hidden in your hair. after a brief moment of silence, whispered apologies reached your ears, yunjin swaying you from behind to the nonexistent music.
"i'm sorry. forgive me?"
yet all along, i knew we'd be fine
you melted in her embrace, sighing and pulling her arms around you tighter. yunjin kissed you all over the head, smiling triumphantly as she heard you giggling quietly. she turned around and wiped her thumbs under your eyes before planting another kiss between your brows.
"let me make it up to you?"
"mhm."
"ice cream and movies?"
so pour me a drink, oh, love
and let's split the night wide open
yunjin sat back in her chair, pure adoration swimming in her eyes as she watched you bond happily with her group members. she sipped her drink quietly as she watched you converse with sakura and kazuha in japanese, pride blooming in her chest because she got herself an intelligent girlfriend.
despite being a year younger than chaewon and not even being in the idol industry, when she asked you how to be a proper leader, you gave her the advice she needed. you understood the stress of always being the leader at school, chaewon reasoned, and yunjin rolled her eyes but listened quietly to your advice.
yunjin admired the way you animatedly interacted with eunchae, the younger girl staring at you in awe. as eunchae tugged on your sleeves and pointed to the food next to you that she couldn't reach, yunjin smiled as you helped their adorable maknae fill her plate with whatever food she desired.
and we'll see everything we can
living love in slow motion, motion, motion
if you were embarrassed by the girls' compliments, yunjin would laugh, loving the way your cheeks heated up whenever she agreed or added more comments. she adores how your eyes crinkle with delight whenever the girls do something ridiculously amusing.
and she adores it when you join in on their silly antics. there was one time you were laughing your asses off on the floor in response to kazuha's adorable fall and cute pouty face.
yunjin…
well, yunjin just loves you very much.
so kiss me where i lay down
my hands pressed to your cheeks
when yunjin was able to get you to herself that night, the girls leaving for a moment to get extra drinks (and eunchae's juice), she pulled you close to her and her lips brushed against your temple as she gently whispered to you.
"i love you, y/n/n."
you grinned up at her, melting against her as she wrapped her arm around your shoulder. yunjin sipped her drink as you whispered softly against her neck, smiling against the rim of her glass and watching the girls struggle, who refused to let eunchae do anything.
a long way from the playground
"i love you, too, jen."
i have loved you since we were eighteen
as she watched you walk down the aisle, yunjin felt a tug on the corner of her lips. your eyes were glossy with crystal clear tears threatening to spill, which you quickly pushed away as you smiled wide, flashing your perfect pearly whites.
long before we both thought the same thing
to be loved and to be in love
as you made your way to the altar, clutching onto your father for support and dear life, your gown hugged your body and your veil was slowly dragged behind you. yunjin knew you wanted to cry, but she also knew you didn't like crying about something you should be happy about, even if the tears were happy tears.
and all i can do is say that these arms were made for holdin' you, oh
tears streamed down yunjin's cheek, and you kissed your father on the cheek briefly. you turned around, tearing up, as one hand reached out to help you up the stairs, and you melted against her side.
and i wanna love like you made me feel
when we were eighteen
it was your dream to marry.
yunjin remembers.
you'd always told her about it: how you wanted a ring on your finger, how you wanted that gorgeous gown (the exact same design), how you'd laugh at her if she cried at the altar.
she remembers it all.
when we were eighteen
oh, lord
when we were eighteen
"in the sight of god and these witnesses, i now pronounce you wife and wife! you may now kiss!"
kiss me where i lay down
my hands pressed to your cheeks
everyone could see you could barely hold back your tears as a pair of hands eagerly reached out to hold your face. more tears streamed down yunjin's cheeks as she watched you lean in, yu jimin tearfully returning the kiss, clutching the ring in her hand so tightly it would leave a mark.
your tears began to fall as soon as you felt your wife's lips against yours, and the loud cheers in your ears were muffled, and the breaking of yunjin's heart was louder than the cheering crowd, with pieces of it breaking under your own heels.
a long way from the playground
"y/n/n, i love you, my wife."
"i love you, ji, my wife."
she was supposed to be happy for you. she tried, she swears she tried her hardest to pretend. she just couldn't. she was incapable of doing so. yunjin felt bad for feeling this way. she felt bad for wanting to ruin the wedding that had just occurred.
your wedding.
yunjin wasn't supposed to wish it was her instead of yu jimin next to you, peppering the back of your head with small kisses that you adored and holding you so close. she wasn't supposed to want to whisk you away from yu jimin, whose arms were wrapped around your waist as she planted kisses on your temples while you happily wept in front of the crowd, jimin whispering comforting words in your ear.
i have loved you since we were eighteen
long before we both thought the same thing
to be loved and to be in love
yunjin will never forgive her company for ruining your relationship. the relationship she had been guarding since before they made their debut. the relationship, which in every waking moment of her life, she treasured. the only relationship she would enter again and again throughout her life and the afterlife, but would never leave if only given the chance. the relationship that her company ruined, causing both parties to suffer at the time.
yunjin would never forgive the company for threatening both sides, including the members. she would hate them for the rest of her life. she will carry her hatred for them to her grave and the afterlife.
and all i can do is say that these arms were made for holdin' you, oh
and i wanna love like you made me feel
when we were eighteen
and huh yunjin would never forgive herself for letting you slip through her fingers.
i wanna love like you made me feel
when we were eighteen
as you took pictures with your family and friends, the cheers of the crowd fell on her deaf ears. she couldn't hear or feel her friends speak to her or try to shake her out of her reverie. she watched you as you squished your face with your wife, a wide happy smile on both of your faces.
yunjin wished it had been her.
yunjin wished she could be your wife.
yunjin wished she could have you.
i wanna love like you made me feel
yunjin wished you were looking for her as you lifted your head to scan the crowd. however, as much as she wished for it, seeing your sparkling eyes was too painful.
so, even if she wanted you to see her, yunjin turned and quickly left, her tearstained face hidden from view.
it hurt too much.
yunjin despised the idea that another woman would fall in love with you for the same reasons she had. she despised the thought of another woman touching you after she had laid her hands on you. she despised the fact that she wouldn't be the one to hear your sweet words and soft i love you's. she despised the fact that you wouldn't wake up to her silly faces or sweet kisses.
yunjin despised it. yunjin despised yu jimin.
you had moved on with her, married her. all of your dreams came true, but not with yunjin, but with your wife.
it was unfair.
because yunjin was still in love with you after all these years.

Pushing for a lower dev estimate is like negotiating better weather with a meteorologist
The fact is the meteorologist doesn't control the weather. The meteorologist uses his knowledge and observing data to forecast how the weather will be.
In the same way, the development team doesn't control the actual effort - only by a tiny part. The development team uses their knowledge and data to forecast expected effort. They use established team velocity, review data on complete stories, and continuously improve their process every sprint.

The gift of love
Tumblr media
This is just a load of fluff and some dad Cal!! Also, apologies for changing the request a little. The story just wrote itself!
The request: “Oooo ok I thought of something! Cal x reader where the reader gets pregnant and Cal finds her crying about it cause she thinks their whole Mantis operations are now in danger and she is just really scared and he comforts her. And then skip to the birth and it’s a little girl and they name her Y/D/N Cere Kestis???”
_____
This should be a joyous moment. Yet you couldn’t stop the tears as they spilled from your eyes, sinking to the floor in the room you shared with Cal on the Mantis.
It’s not that you didn’t want a child, but the revelation of your pregnancy had the most inopportune timing! Together with the crew, you had revived Cere’s project of the Path to find a safe spot for those trying to escape the Empire. Tanalorr was a good safe haven, but the infrastructure was still lacking and even though the first refugees were working hard on it, it would take weeks if not months before the planet offered true comfort.
Yet you couldn’t sit around and wait. Finding survivors and allies wasn’t always easy and getting them into safety even less so. Sometimes smuggling worked, other times, a fight was unavoidable. And then there was also the perilous journey to the hidden planet. Greeze had already settled down there, making you the official pilot for the dangerous trips. And that’s why you were now a sobbing mess on the floor. They needed you. The cause, these people out there… you couldn’t let them down.
So lost in your despair, you didn’t hear the door sliding open or Cal entering. Not until you felt his hands on your shoulders, a worried voice asking: “Y/N, what’s wrong?”
You couldn’t speak, instead you threw yourself into his arms, grateful for the way he held you, a hand just gently stroking through your hair as he patiently waited for you to calm down. All the while, he was whispering sweet assurances to you that everything was fine. That he was there.
“I’m so sorry…”, were the first words you managed to get out.
“Sorry about what?”, he asked, worry and confusion thick in his voice.
Puffy red eyes were focused on him as you fought with yourself to get the words out. He needed to know. He deserved to know. After all, it was his child as well.
“Cal… I’m pregnant.”
Green eyes widened and you saw a waterfall of emotions rush through them. Everything from surprise, shock and wonder, all mixed into one.
“Are you sure?”, he managed to choke out.
You nodded and were about to apologize again, when Cal suddenly pulled you into another hug. “That is wonderful.”, he spoke and you could hear in his voice that he was smiling.
“But the mission…”, you began and Cal instantly let you go again, so that he could look at you.
“Is that why you were crying?”
Another nod from you, earning a gentle smile from Cal, before he leaned forward to press his forehead against yours.
“The fight is important… but you are even more important to me. We wanted to build a future on Tanalorr, remember? This…” He placed a hand on your stomach. “Is even more motivation for me. Besides, the Path isn’t just us anymore. We have an entire network of allies. We can retire any time and know that Cere’s vision will live on.”
Every word was like a calming balm for your soul, at the same time, you felt your eyes prickling with tears again. Great, were you going be be extra emotional for months now?
“You would really stop fighting for me?”
“I would do anything for you, love. For you and our family.”
His smile grew. “I still can’t believe I’m going to be a father…”
He seemed so genuinely happy. So amazed by the turn his life was about to take. And seeing him like that, you couldn’t help but feel happy as well.
10 months later
“Shhh, your mom is sleeping.”, Cal cooed to the crying infant, as he walked up and down the bedroom, gently rocking the baby in his arms. Not wanting to wake you, he finally opted to go outside, the night air of Tanalorr warm enough during this season.
You had a small home, far on the outskirts of the ever-growing town the people had called Haven. Although Cal still did the occasional run for the Path, he had mostly hung up his lightsaber, focusing on helping people in other ways. He was good at fixing things and enjoyed farming. Both skills desperately needed on this new planet.
And he had a family now. One he didn’t want to leave. With a smile, he stared at the child. His son, who still seemed like a little miracle to him.
“Want me to tell you another story about your namesake?”, he asked. “He was a great Jedi Master. Strict, but also incredibly patient and kind.” Little Jaro was quickly calming down, as he always did when Cal began to tell stories.
“That’s one of my favourites as well.”
Your voice caught Cal’s attention after he had just finished one of his tales. “I hope we didn’t wake you.”
You shook your head and joined him, placing a kiss on his cheek and then one on your sleeping baby boy’s forehead. “The bed just grew cold without you.”, you explained with a smile, which he returned.
“I’ll be right back. Seems like the little one fell asleep again.”
“He won’t be for long. So let’s stay and enjoy the view for a while.”, you suggested and both your heads turned to the magical display of Tanalorr’s nightsky, as you stood arm in arm. This was your home. This was your future. And you had fought long and hard to finally enjoy it. Together.
