I've been binging Batman Beyond recently (Terry ily so much) and thought about how- bc of the JLU twist which I think isn't even canon to the comics BB verse but shhh bare with me- he'd technically be Damian's half brother??? Which is just so ridiculously soap opera to me. I need them to interact in a silly time travel adventure so bad you don't even understand (ID in alt)

WAUGHH THANKIES TYSM THIS IS SO KIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okay so first before i go into this you haveto know theyre originally from an outline for a dinluke visual novel gamei started coding and never finished. heheh. the story was originally just about din settling into life with luke and the students while training with the darksaber, but the players choices and how they had din interacting with luke andthe children deteremined the ending.

the padawan children in this au were:

Alluria- a young pantoran girl with bright eyes and a brighter smile, shes very happy with her life on yavin IV and loves studying the force with her fellow padawans, though tends to be alittle air headed and unfocused in her excitment. she wants to be everyones friend! has trouble actually,,, making friends,,, comes off kind of too strong and too much and scares away the other students who are much more reserved than she is

Reina - the youngest baby my darling reina...a young rodian girl who was seperated from her family during imperial rule- and has entrusted masterskywalker with the very important mission of helping her find them (her brother has passed without her knowing, they were extremely close- her mother holds vigil for reina every night and prays for her safe return) and believes whole heartedlysomeday they will. she was extremely shy and soft spoken when she first came to lukes academy- but has since warmed up enough that her very caring and empathetic nature is begining to shine through,, luke thinks she will be a healer

Lylah - a sleepy (almost narcoleptic) twilek girl who has visionsof the future when she dreams- when the force decides shes ready fora vision, she is already fast asleep. luke has seemingly endless patience for her, as he cant imagine having the burden of the future onhisshoulders at such a young age. Lylah is very reserved . quiet and to herself, but not in an aloof way. i think she just knows she wont be awake very long and tries to conserve energy.

Ryo - the oldest and most troubled of all my girlies... came from a very rough home life where her use of the force was punished from a very early age, despite her not being able to control it. using the force scares her, soshe rarely joins the other padawans during training. stays back and tries not to make friends really, becus she feels like this only temporary . and hey, maybe shes right, yknow? lylah has been having visions of a dark force watching them... maybe ryo should be tho one to go investigate,, she doesnt think anyone would even notice she was gone..... the bare bones plot to this vn (since i will probably never go back to it): Din is visiting Grogu at the Jedi Praxeum for the first time; he has met up with Luke on outer rim planets quite a few times but he is the first parent to be allowed to know the location of the actual school. He does not take this lightly. He is introduced to a small handful of other students, as well as invited to stay as long as he likes and observe any of Grogus classes. He does not take this lightly either. Din sits in on as many classes as he can, both enthralled by luke and the desperately need to be as close to grogu as possible. Theres DEFINITELY a scene early on where din walks in on luke training by himself in the dagobah tank-esque look like a little sweaty,,, its a dating sim, fucking sue me. Anyways. Din starts noticing more and more about luke, starts falling in love, you KNOW, the usual, but conflict wise he also notices one of lukes older students seems very troubled… Din points this out to Luke, who has very much noticed and is worried about this students pull to the dark side. He asks Din to talk with the student, give them an outside perspective from quote “a good mans point of view.” Din is hesitant, but agrees for both Luke and his students sake. The student is further gone than Luke had thought, and lashes out at Din, then runs away. Luke is very worried, but also wants this student to have the time they need to let out their emotions on their own… he's just scared of crossing the line either way and not giving them enough or too much time… defos DEFOS a scene where luke cries about how practically raising these kids by himself is so scary and he doesnt know if he's cut out for it, while Din assures him that ofc he is and that he isnt alone. He gives Luke a keldabe kiss, assuming he doesnt know what it means (he does) and assures him that he will never be alone if he doesnt want to be… later, Luke asks Din to come with him; as he has sensed the student off planet and where Luke suspects a sith artifact to be. They battle the student turned sith; and their sith inquisitor “master”...  possible endings ensue.

Your art is soooooooo incredibly good!! Do you think you'd ever do tutorials? Ace Attorney got me struggling so bad, especially with everyone's weird af hair... And then i see your art and it looks so good that I just wanna print and eat it!!!! How do you do it??

waughh thank you so much !!! i think i could do tutorials if someone ever asked me something specific.... if we're talking about hair ig my approach to it would be more like this:

steps 1 and 2 are easy enough, but i've noticed a lot of people tend to have trouble with the third step, so i think it would be more helpful to show a real life example, that being how tsums are made!

capcom tsums in particular have hair made out of strips of fabric stacked on top of each other, and my favorite so far is asougi's hair :3

from the picture above you can already tell how his hair was formed by strips of fabric, but here's a visual breakdown of how those strips are working:

the piece outlined with purple is given more volume due to the other two strips of fabric lying underneath it, so this would apply to hair with more volume too! flatter hair, however, would work a lot more like this, where locks wouldn't have much intersection with each other and falls evenly around the head

so that's how i approach hair! i hope it's understandable =w=

After saving a winged woman who fell from the sky, She-Ra must journey to the kingdom of Mizar to liberate its people from Catra’s siege. Following an assault by a flock of catbirds, Angella flies on ahead with Swift Wind, leaving Adora to find her own way.

"How COULD you let yourself go so?” Adora demands, pointing sternly at the poor dragon. “But I can change all that if you are prepared to give ME something in return!"

"Will you trade the Map of Lights for a little BEAUTY MAGIC!" says Adora, with a sly little smirk.

"Well, I dunno..." says the dragon, blowing a smoke ring.

“I suppose I'll never use the old thing anyway! Can't make hide nor hair of it anyway!” says the dragon, passing Adora the Map of Lights.

"Yes! Yes! Keep it!" says the dragon, passing a thick red folder to Adora.

"Now make me bee-ohh-tee-ful!" she continues, batting exaggerated eyelashes like a green version of Dragon from Shrek.

Adora snaps her fingers, with "SNAP" and "POOF!" sound effects.

A huge, legless lepidopteran with a noseless human face materializes, evidently the result of Adora's beautification magic 'fixing' the dragon. "That's one LESS dreadful dragoness to deal with!" says Adora.

"Now for a look at this map and on to Mizar!" she says, tugging a piece of paper loose from the envelope.

"According to the Map of Lights, my journey to Mizar must begin from this very spot! Why, LOOK! A water raft!" says Adora. A vivid orange canoe just so happens to be floating before her, carved to resemble a bird of prey. Ornamental wings sweep along its hulls, like a boat designed by someone who knows OF strakes, but not what they're for.

She gets in the boat, silhouetted as it drifts down a stream.

"C-c-caw! Caw! You shall not escape us this time, She-Ra! The Map of Lights is as good as ours!" says a catbird, as the flock descends once more upon her. "You shall be TRAPPED in the dark forest!" says another.

"OH NO YOU DON'T! How about a little hot foot, barbarian bird?!!!" yells She-Ra, clinging to the folder containing the map as a catbird clutches it with all four paws.

"Ahhhh! My feet! They're BURNING!" yells the catbird, three-fingered talons releasing the map in a cloud of sparkles. She-Ra clings gamely on.

"THE CRASHING ROCKS!" says She-Ra, attention returning to the water.

"No time to waste... must ride these rapids!" she says, pulling out the Sword of Protection and using it as an oar. The prow of the canoe, carved into a raptor, glowers forward.

"And hope to make it safely through in time!" says She-Ra, steering deftly through a gap in the rocks.

The catbirds careen into the cliff face, with huge "OOMPH!" and "WAUGHH!" sound effects.

A yellow text box reads, "As her band of evil thugs attacks Mizar, Catra watches She-Ra's every move..."

"SO... you escaped my birds of prey! Well, She-Ra, I'm not through with you yet! Try THISSSSS!" says Catra, watching She-Ra through a crystal ball. A mountain rises in the background, wreathed in clouds and winged creatures, surrounded by water at its base.

"SSSSSSSSSSSS" says the water in Catra's crystal ball.

Three sea monsters rise out of the water around She-Ra's canoe, dripping menacingly.

"I'm tired of all this toil and trouble! I cast a spell... sea foam and bubble! Swallow up these fearful beasts! Make of them a scrumptious feast!" says She-Ra, lifting the Sword of Protection to the sky. "They'll make a tasty monster stew! I must be gone... there's much to do!" She then thinks to herself, "Hmmm ... that's not bad, even if I do say so myself!" which is both blatantly false and very unnecessary given that there's no dialogue in two panels in either direction.

A "ROARR!" sound effect heralds a huge wave, which swallows the sea serpents and sweeps She-Ra towards the shore.

"LAND HO!" says She-Ra.

Page 4:

"Enough of this meddlesome maiden!" says Catra, holding her mask and scowling as She-Ra paddles the canoe onto the beach with her sword.

"She sets one foot on this shore, and she is DOOMED!" says Catra, putting on her mask and transforming into... a little kitty cat! 

Like just a regular sized house cat. No armor or anything.

Adora (as she’s Adora again) beams up at Mizar, the folder containing the Map of Lights in one hand and her magic net in the other.

Mizar looms overhead, tall and purple and majestic.

"Purrr-fect! The Map of Lights is MINE!" says kitty-Catra, snatching the map from Adora's grasp, apparently possessing a four foot vertical leap, "AS MIZAR WILL BE!"

She transforms back into her human form, which raises the question of 'why become a house cat in the first place', and says "Even as we speak, the final seige begins!"

"She-Ra! You are too late! Hisssss!" says Catra, so I guess she knows Adora's identity. "I think not, cruel Catra! It's not over yet!" says Adora, "Swift Wind and I will see to that!"

Adora sticks her middle and index fingers into her mouth, which definitely isn't how you're supposed to whistle but I'm sure it's useful for, you know, other stuff, with a sound effect reading "TWEEEET!"

Swift Wind, still transformed, wheels overhead.

Page 5:

Swift Wind lands in front of his rider, while Catra stands two feet away, not attacking. "To Mizar... and HURRY!" says She-Ra, as Swift Wind swoops away with her on his back. "CURSES! Foiled again! But mark my words, you... you TROUBLEMAKER!" says Catra, shaking her fist after them, "We shall meet again!"

A yellow text box reads, “At Mizar...” and we see our heroes fly next to its steep cliffs. "Perhaps the Seer's mysterious net will stop these vile villains in their tracks!" says She-Ra.

Cat creatures, humanoid with feline heads and long claws, are scaling the face of the cliffs.

"If it works, I have a plan to lay the evil beasts to rest... once and for all!" says She-Ra, casting the net over the nearest cat-people.

"WHOA! What's this? Stuff's tough as rubber..." says one of the cat-people, evidently fully sapient, if on Catra's side.

"CAN'T BREAK FREE..." yowls a second, as Angella and several other winged women look on from the walls of the city above.

"On the great powers of Etheria I now do call... to turn these vile beasts into a fortress WALL!" says She-Ra.

She lifts her sword, casting a beam of magic on the living, speaking cat-people, who are at this point only guilty of trespassing kind of near the city.

"Their powerful evil ends with this charm... turned to stone, they will protect Mizar from HARM!" says She-Ra, literally turning them into stone. Their terrified faces and cowering, net-covered bodies barely stick out of the mountain, and honestly probably wouldn't do much to deter someone who's already climbed 90% of the way up. But cool spell I guess.

"Hoorah! She-Ra... it WORKED!" says Swift Wind, swooping around their petrified corpses victoriously.

"Kind SHE-RA! Noble SWIFT WIND! You have saved my people and our fair city from harm!" says Angella, approaching them as they land. Several winged figures lurk in the background, beaming. "We owe you many MORE thanks than we can ever repay!"

"Please stay and be out guests!" says Angella, "The key to our city...” She holds out her arms, wide and welcoming, “And our hearts.. is YOURS!"

"We most gratefully accept the key to Mizar!" says Adora, stroking Swift Wind's muzzle, "but I am afraid we cannot stay!"

In red text, she adds, "Angella, remember this moral. A friend in need is one indeed and we are happy to have served you!"

"Catra does not DARE return to harm you!" says Adora, allowing Angella to clasp her her hands gratefully. "The spell I cast will see to that! But there are others in Etheria who will need our help! We must take and hold your friendship in our hearts till we meet again!"

"Good bye! Farewell!" says Angella, waving after them as they fly away. "Good bye, dear friends!" says Adora, waving back as Swift Wind takes to the sky.

please for the love of god talk about your guy im paranoid about being annoying but i feel like i should still tell you that i am in a constant state of rotating him in my mind and u r a legit inspiration

waughh!!! thank you so much!!! ;_; this means the world to me really, and don't worry! it's not annoying at all! i just want to apologize for the late answer i didn't quite know specifically what to talk about because with my characters they're just spinning in my head with no cohearant thought following suit. A few facts about him the under the cut. Sorry again

prolonged isolation can cause hallucinations to people, so among all other issues Nick does hallucinate, but before i do much with it i want to research the topic more to represent it correctly and respectfully.

Nick's knife is a hunting\butterfly knife hybrid.

Nick (and his species) has the tapetum lucidum, so his eyes shine! can be a little spooky to see in the dark.

I enjoy thinking about Nick once he's no longer afraid of humans and instead seeing them as allies. He'd be a great asset for the resistance, while he has plenty to learn he's a very smart man and a good scientist. He'd be great at fixing up small things in machines because he can get in it and has very small hands.

Humans have always been like uncanny valley to him. They are very similiar and yet Nick sees them as creepy, weird or downright gross. One second away from throwing up when he first got picked up.

Despite healing well from the damange Lamarr caused him, he still has cronic pain because of it in his torso.

Nicholas is an avid writer, and his most precious book is a sort of "diary" where he writes all that is known about his species+ his own experiences as some sort of evidence of their existence once he dies and (as he belives, but not true) his species is finally gone.

Even in a safe, enclosed space Nick will always have his back against something and be standing in a position that allows him to view the entirety of his surroundings and have at least one escape route, plus he hates being in big open spaces. He's a little prey animal and he gets spooked so often for the smallest thing really, it doesn't help he's a fairly nervous man already.

His bites cause some very annoying itchiness, so the potential guy that tried to catch him will keep scratching at the wound and make it worse. It's not very dangerous and you can fix it so easily, but it can cause infections if left untreated.

He does not trust vortigaunts just like he does not trust humans, as they are allies, and anything that sides with humans is no good, but i think he'd be a lot more sympathetic towards them if he knew what they went through. Fortunately he learns about the whole combine invasion once he no longer hates humans, but had he known prior i don't think he would have felt that bad for them. It's ok tho they all become besties in the end :)

Nicholas is not a physical person, despite enjoying quite a lot physical contact at first once he loses his fear due of the fact he'd been alone for twenty whole years, so he kinda missed the physical contact. The period doesn't last forever, however, but he still doesn't mind it from time to time.

Nick speaks so fast and he's always eating his words, stuttering and cracking and rambling. I've mentioned it again but i'm saying it again, he sounds like Doug Rattmann

If people say some weird shit about him because of his size like "OMG you're soso cute ^_^" he'll look at them dead faced and completely silent to make them feel awkward and uncomfortable over what they said and make them apologize.

BnHA Chapter 278: MOMO IN CHARGE

Previously on BnHA: Deku and Kacchan were all “SIR, THAT’S OUR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SENSEI” and got really ferocious and made a very passionate attempt to blow Tomura up and it was great. It basically did nothing, but it was still great. AFO was all “COME HERE LIL BRO”, and Tomura was all “silly Sensei, you can’t just take over my mind and body just like that”, and he was very confident of this despite there really being no evidence to back it up, but okay! Gran was all “time to make the fandom mad at me” and grabbed Tomura by the collar and yelled at him about Nana a bit, and then Bakugou and Endeavor made an even MORE passionate attempt to blow up Tomura, which may or may not have done some actual damage. The chapter ended with Gigantomachia battling Mt. Lady, just kinda out of the blue, which is FINE, but she had better be all right, though!

Today on BnHA: Everyone is all “WAUGHH IT’S GIGANTOMACHIA” and running around freaking out about it. The U.A. alums all kick some ass, and pretty much everyone else not from U.A. does jack fucking shit. Mt. Lady, who I plan on naming all of my future children after, does her best to stop Machia but he keeps flinging her aside. Kamui Woods is all “here I come with Midnight to put Gigantomachia to sleep!” and is PROMPTLY FUCKING MURDERED!? by Dabi because he’s a flammable tree man, and so Midnight falls all the way to the ground and is badly injured. So then she’s all “well I better call the most competent person I can think of to fix this mess” and dials up YAOYOROZU FUCKING MOMO, who proceeds to take charge LIKE THE BOSS SHE IS, and mobilizes the rest of the kids. And honestly I have more faith in them than in any of the adults at this point, so yeah, you know what? Let’s do this.

so I am possibly a bit spoiled on this chapter because I did a “top five predictions” post earlier this week, and someone replied to that yesterday on Thursday saying that they were mostly correct. I don’t know exactly how close to the mark I was though, and in any case most of the predictions were just “so-and-so shows up, probably”, so it’s not too bad. we’ll see how it goes!
