Tumblr media
Did you become obsessed with crystals in the late 90's? Was everything in your bedroom blue, gold, and spangled with stars? Did you spend an unnatural amount of time at Natural Wonders or the Discovery Store? Did you listen to your Pure Moods cd (As Seen On TV!) so much that you needed to buy a backup? Do you spell "sadeness" with an extra "e"?
Friend, this is the box for you. The Mystic Moods Box contains indie goods from a panoply of talented artisans. Washi and stickers from Archmichael, loosleaf tea from Dryad Tea, jewery from Minou Bazaar, a candle and room spray from Sihaya & Co, perfume by Sorcellerie Apothecary, and wax melts by Willow Waxcraft.
Tumblr media
In addition, there is also a coordinating candle collection, topped with an candle-safe glittering overspray! Adiemus: Bright satusma mingles with sandalwood, petitigrain, and cotton blossom.  Dante's Prayer: Blue dendrobium orchid intertwined with vanilla musk and whisper-soft amber.   Forest Hymn: A gently spiced blend of botanical treasures - cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, fir needle, and anise sweetened with (synthetic) wildflower honey.  Halcyon & On & On: A hypnotic blend of honeysuckle, vanilla, coconut musk, and golden hour sunshine. May It Be: A twilight blend of moonflower accord, creeping moss, and canopy of redwood.  Orinoco Flow: An anxiety-busting blend of plumeria, orange blossom, sweet rain, and fresh ocean breezes.  Return To Innocence: An earthy, incense-driven blend of woody sandalwood and palo santo accord with a touch of saffron. Teardrop: A meditative blend of driftwood, sea grasses, salt air, and marine musk.
Tumblr media
And finally, the Pride Candles are up for preorder! We are a small queer and woman-owned business, and your scent options are: HOMOPHOBE REPELLENT (Rainbow flag): A tropical melange of mango, passionfruit, mandarin orange, pineapple, and a splash of champagne. Blog #4: Rising from the Start: An Entrepreneur's Journey
---
Embarking on the entrepreneurial journey, starting a business from scratch, is akin to navigating uncharted waters. Each step holds valuable lessons, both in success and failure, shaping the trajectory of the startup. Here, I share insights gleaned from my own startup journey.
My entrepreneurial journey mirrors navigating uncharted waters, where every step moulds the startup's trajectory. It all started with a spark—an idea to solve transportation issues at Central Mindanao University with a rent-a-bike startup. Research and planning laid the groundwork, but setbacks taught invaluable lessons. Then came "WaxCraft," an eco-friendly floor wax made from banana peels and citronella, tackling school environmental and health concerns.Juggling academic responsibilities amidst the entrepreneurial hustle was challenging, but our resilience shone through. We honed our innovative product, "Musaquito Banish Wax," proving its efficacy against floor issues and mosquitoes.
Tumblr media
Our pitch deck underwent meticulous revisions, refining it with precise structural cost estimates that laid the foundation for our ambitious venture. Miriam's reunion with her former high school classmate, now a seasoned 3rd-year business administration student, became the gateway for us to delve into the intricacies of structural costs essential for our final pitch Thus, a pivotal moment occurred during our final meeting on Wednesday, where the focus shifted to refining the accurate estimated structural cost.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The climax of our journey arrived on the day of the final pitch, a day marked by mere hours of sleep following a rigorous morning practical exam. The pitch was led by Chelsea and Renzon, where we navigated through inquiries from an unidentified panel member, showcasing our meticulously crafted cost breakdown to their satisfaction. As the clock ticked and more questions loomed on the horizon, the constraints of time and an impending exam compelled us to hasten to our next subject. In the midst of fatigue, the congratulations from Ma'am Lovely resonated, and we embraced the celebration of our hard-earned success.
Tumblr media
As the sun sets on this chapter of my entrepreneurial journey, I find myself reflecting on the invaluable lessons learned. Every twist and turn, success and setback, has not only shaped my business but has also molded a mindset resilient to the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurship. In the tapestry of startup life, failure stitches the seams of success. Embracing setbacks carves paths to unforeseen opportunities. Staying agile, ready to pivot when needed, and letting curiosity guide the way has been my compass.
Tumblr media
To my incredible team, I extend my deepest gratitude. Your unwavering dedication, innovative spirit, and collaborative mindset have been the cornerstone of our triumphs. It's through our collective efforts that we've turned challenges into opportunities and dreams into realities. Together, we weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and upheld a spirit of collaboration that defined our success.
Onward and upward!

Blog #2: Musaquito Banish-Wax by WaxCrafters
Entrepreneurs should pay attention to their prospective customers as well as their previous leads because, when you're aiming for new clients, you should pay attention to their demands, wants, difficulties, and frustrations with your industry. Pay attention to what your clients have to say about your goods and services.
During in our Proposal, it was a good idea, but it is a common and many students have already presented it. We came up with an idea to change our proposal to be more effective and usable.  With this, our group decided to change it in “WaxCraft.” This kind of product It is a floor wax but It's not the same as the ordinary one we buy from market. This type of floor wax is made up of banana peeling extract incorporated with citronella oil.
This floor wax made from banana peels is mostly made of recycled and natural materials, which could help users save money while promoting a green lifestyle. This commercial floor wax, which is based on banana peels, is kinder to the environment and its users than other commercial waxes created with hazardous chemicals and with the help of citronella oil it is effective as an insect repellent because of its distinct lemon-like aroma and often used in various products and it has many benefits.
It’s not easy to create a product. To establish a new business, think about it. Increase your chances of success in the future by using the information and experience you obtained from the past, because if ever there is no entrepreneur what will happen to us, so that’s why entrepreneur affect human living and the economy because whatever consumer demand, entrepreneur is always there to give what the consumer wants and needs.

Blog#2:Rejection is an opportunity for your selection.”
Our first start up idea was the "rent a bike" , the proposal was heard and considered by our prof but she also gave many things to consider if we push the idea, then we realized that there were many things to consider that is beyond our capacity as a student. So our group brainstormed and gather each others idea until we came up with another idea.
Tumblr media
" waxcraft"
WaxCraft will be a revolutionizing floorwax and will be made up of banana peeling extract incorporated with citronella oil. This floor wax derived from banana peels primarily consists of recycled and organic materials, providing potential cost savings to users while promoting environmental friendliness. Comparing to other commercial waxes made with harmful chemicals, this banana peel-based floorwax is gentler to both the environment and its users. The citronella extract could also help get rid of mosquitoes that is one timely problem in most elementary schools. This product will not only put a smile on the faces of the children but also put a shine on the floor.
As plant major biology students, we are for advocating and making solutions to environmental problems that is timely to our community. One of these problems is the rampant dengue virus which targets mostly young people. Elementary students to be specific are the most vulnerable as classrooms are not equipped with machines that could eliminate the mosquitoes. Through this solution that our group have come up with, it will not only revolutionize floor polishing but will also help mitigate and eradicate the problem that mosquitoes carry, dengue.
In conclusion, there will always be a good side in every rejection either in business, love, specially in life.

Blog #2: Embracing Rejection: The Start of Something New
The Startup Sheriffs, Renzon A. Villacillo
In the world of entrepreneurship, success always comes with rejection. It has been a rite of passage that every aspiring entrepreneur must face at some point of their journey. Our journey began with a venture proposal that held a potential and passion, yet, only to meet the cold, rejection. Despite this challenge, we saw it as an opportunity to better our goal and focus and as well as our venture idea. We will be diving into what happened and what were the offering insights and wisdom given to us by our professor.
Tumblr media
Our group presented our idea of the “Rent-a-Bike” venture proposal. We were told that the intention of it helping other students’ need for transportation was good, but it was cliché. Many other students and proposals have already presented this kind of idea which made it seem common already. With this, our group had to gather again and brainstorm other problems that students of today faces. Most of the public elementary school classrooms are not tiled, so, students still use floorwax to shine their floors. This new problem woke up our minds to come up with another innovative idea which is the “WaxCraft”.

In conclusion, as we encounter rejections many times in our lives, we must not be discouraged but instead, we should make this turndown as an avenue for us and our ideas to be better. The rejection that we have overcame in this 2nd part of our journey is just part of the process to something new and something big. It’s either we go big or go home, hence, we chose to be bigger entrepreneurs by finding a new problem and creating a solution for it. Hoping that this new venture will be a success so look forward to my next blog.

Blog 2: Rejection to Revolution: The Eco-friendly WaxCraft Venture
Entrepreneurship is often a tough road, filled with rejections. Initially we came up with a rent-a-bike concept; however, the business proposal, filled with solutions and potential, only to encounter the harsh, unforgiving truth of rejection. We received feedback that while the idea of assisting students with transportation needs was commendable, it was considered unoriginal. Numerous other students and proposals had already put forth similar concepts, rendering it a common idea. However, in the midst of this daunting setback, we didn't waver; instead, they turned rejection into a driving force for development.
Tumblr media
Our team gathered and initiated a brainstorming session to identify other challenges currently experienced by today's students. It was during this process that we recognized a prevalent issue in public elementary school classrooms – the absence of tiled floors, leading students to utilize floorwax for polishing. This realization sparked our creativity, leading us to conceive the innovative concept of "WaxCraft."
Tumblr media
As Plant Biology students we aim to make a solution to a problem where we will be able to use our knowledge and potential to contribute to the sustainability of our lives while protecting our environment. In a world where many commercial waxes are laden with harmful chemicals, WaxCraft emerges as a gentler, more environmentally friendly solution. "WaxCraft," is an eco-friendly floor wax made from banana peels is primarily composed of recycled and organic components, our group then decided to make it more innovative by adding citronella extract for it could contribute to alleviating the issue of mosquitoes, which is a pressing concern in many elementary schools. With this idea we were able to address both environmental and health concerns in elementary schools.
Tumblr media
This resilience in the face of rejection exemplifies our entrepreneurial spirit, as we seek to make a positive impact on our community and look forward to future success. We transformed our setbacks into stepping stones for development. The rejection that initially marked our path was just one phase in our ongoing process of innovation and expansion. Our relentless pursuit of change has given rise to a new venture, one that offers solutions to real-world problems. As we strive for success, our story serves as an inspiring testament to the unwavering spirit of entrepreneurship, and I eagerly anticipate our next chapter.
