#its like im feeling the coming down from a group hangout but x10000 and also i want to cry#i dont know everything is so much forever#we have a worship night with the whole church that the music committee for youth group was only informed was going to happen on the 14th#like a week ago#and i spent so much time preparing the slides for the songs we were going to do#and all everyone has to say is that theyre too slow and too boring and not hype enough or whatever#and its like. you CHOSE these#i sent a SURVEY about what english-arabic songs we could do and wr agreed that fhe wjole youth would vote on it and would take the first 7#and thats what we DID its been SETTLED and weve practiced them twice already!!!#and its all like oh julia you always choose boring songs AGAHAGAGSGDGS sorry you cant appreciate the beauty of a hymn . i GUESS#and i GET IT but also we are doing this for the WHOLE CHURCH#so we need songs EVERYONE knows and also songs that exist in both english qnd arabic!! and those are all the old common hymns!!!#like you cant come to me and seriously say oh i found a random youtube video of a lady translating holy forever into arabic#NOBODY KNOWS IT#im genuinely going to crash out#and i dont have TIME to be doing all this im working every day every week this summer#i barely have time for myself in the evenings#and suddenly its also my role to chose the order we're doing the songs in and also find verses for transitions between the songs#like this is a thing that needs PRACTICE at least a full month before !!!!#and everyone in the worship committee except for me and 2 others are in full exam time now#WE DONT HAVE TIME TO BE DOING ALL THIS#WHY did the youth group leaders just go okay we're doing a worship night. figure it out. NONE OF US ARE ABOVE 20#and nobody is doing announcements none of the parents in the church know its happening#and also they wrre like literally ladt sunday oh it would be nice if there was food also#THAT TAKES TIME TO ORGANIZE?? also why are you asking US the worship comittee about it and not literally the food committee#AND THEN AGAIN. this is all the youth. and im the oldest person in the food committee everyone else is below 18#we cant be doing this all on our own!!#please !!!#augh. okay. another day another dealing with management scrambling about their own poor decisions and supply chain/budget issues even tho I'm really fucking not paid enough for all that
#nerd alert#the basic rundown: i make the pre-made salads sandwiches snacks etc for 2 storefronts on campus#1 of the storefronts has a supervisor who texts me directly at the end of the night to tell me what they have left#the other storefront is a vague and unknowable black hole i dump things into. it seems to prefer salads. but besides that idek.#ive invited them to text me directly. email or fax the numbers to my direct manager to give me. something. anything. to inform me#of what they need every day so i know how much to produce.#but instead of this they have elected to just complain about overproduction and then have a panic attack when they run out of things#last week we had a meeting with the manager of that storefront's building and there was a discussion about this issue among others#and it was agreed that someone from that building would oversee forecast numbers and i would go off those for production#well. that person is bad at their job apparently. bc i did that this week and they started flipping out about overproduction.#the other issue is supply chain stuff. keeping up with what needs ordered and what comes in when is REAL rough#especially when youre sharing your product with other departments like me. mary in salad/deli keeps taking my damn vegetables#and the manager isnt getting enough of a budget to buy enough lunch meats for both of us#so im just straight up out of shit half the time and CANT produce#AND. i started this position last year when the fall semester began. i have a list of items on the menu.#some of these items need a specific kind of packaging. that we just. never even got. at all.#so they were like 'ummm why arent we getting the yogurt parfaits' good question. why arent we getting the 4oz portion cups#that i have to put the granola in? cuz if you can answer that question then youve answered the first question.#we got them now but now we're out of yogurt. so like. fuck me i guess.#anyway. id say this is a work in progress but the work started like. 6 months ago. we should have this shit down#part of it is i still dont have a work email address. bc typically they generate those based on your legal name#and i was like um...can we not. i kinda dont want everyone seeing all that. like ik its on my paperwork but. eugh.#and the manager was like yeah thats fine i can put in a request to have it say your preferred name :) im on the pride committee so i can#work on that with them :)))#cool! still have not gotten that email.#ANYWAY#eugh. my job is so damn annoying#the work itself is fine i dont mind that so much now. but the Managing of all of it is a nightmare#i really truly need to gun for better pay when i get the opportunity. i should be making at least lead cook pay.

#came across an instagram account which used ai for animations#and this guy claimed to be an artist and i read a few of his replies to people calling him out for ai art and it made me SO ANGRY#like he said that him to his animations was less like an actor and more like a movie director like FUCK YOU MEAN#like no you didn't make that. other people made that. movie directors don't fucking plagiarise.#GRRR SO MUCH ANGER#the people talking to him were making VALID LOGICAL POINTS and he was just fobbing them off w like 'nice' replies asking for 'understanding#like FUCK OFF your heart emoji means NOTHING#worst of all i think most ai users like this know and understand what people are saying but they just ignore it bc ignoring it favours them#and the amount of people in the comments who were just like 'oh this is cool' PLS IT'S CLEARLY BLOODY FUCKING AI FUCK OFF#the worst thing about ai is that not only is it plagiarism but it's SO BAD FOR THE PLANET#idk the details but i know that it consumes so much water to function (to cool it down)#not to mention each search u do on ai takes up SO MUCH ENERGY like our planet is already fucked and with each use of ai it gets MORE FUCKED#and because our society wants things NOW and is obsessed with EFFICIENCY no once fucking cares#like we're ruining our planet using a thing we survived without perfectly fine??#like ok fine it's convenient in the short run BUT WHATEVER THAT DOESNT MATTER#ITS NOT CONVENIENT FOR OUR PLANET AT ALL#idk if we noticed but like?? i think more business owners should look inward when they complain about issues. is it annoying to have to hire multiple times a year? yes, absolutely. WHY do you think the turnover is so high if everyone says they enjoy the work?? surely. no. it couldn't be the person in charge.
#finishing out my first week as manager at this bnb#where my boss complains about how she can't trust the team to keep it together for a weekend when she's away#and like. a LARGE part of that is that you do not!!!! fully train your staff#everyone thinks the cancellation policy is different. that should not be true#when u are the only person who knows the policies. yeah we're gonna fuck it uo#she's bothering the shit out of me during this hiring process too#the last quit bc my boss told her it didn't matter her baby had a ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR DEGREE FEVER. and was HOSPITALIZED!!!!!!#she needed to come in. no ifs ands or buts#so she quit immediately. can't even blame her#i'm currently writing an operations handbook bc there is so much that me n my coworkers simply did not get trained to do#once it's done i'm taking a copy and adding it to my management portfolio#so i can use it as a reference for new positions#bc why the hell have you been open for EIGHT YEARS and nobody wrote down the instructions for making a reservation#this better be worth it. for my career. or i'm killing#only took this promotion so i can move into other management roles later#so i can open my own artist space in 10yrs#this better be worth it............ otherwise i am going to kill you ******** *****. i will hunt u down.#nina speaks
