5/Feb/2024 - Leaflets being dropped on the displaced in Rafah (posted about 4 hrs ago)
Just a reminder of the situation in Rafah, of how dire it is. And Egypt has actually been building the border wall higher declaring multiple times they will defend their sovereignty. Back against a wall, the people of Gaza literally have nowhere to go! And people are still debating this??!

Me, a physically disabled (high support needs) neurodivergent (mid to high support needs) person: Hey, my neurodivergence IS extremely disabling in a way that a lot of you say "isn't possible" and also my physical and neurological disabilities often combine in ways that can't be separated and produce symptoms that are new or of added severity for me.
Responses I've gotten from disabled exclusionists (some of whom are also both physically disabled and neurodivergent):
"What drugs are you on, you delusional freak?"
"I've never experienced this and therefore you're a dirty lying physically abled neurodivergent person who just wants to be more disabled and oppressed than you are. My experiences are universal and anyone who has different experiences is a lying liar. No one can ever prove otherwise because my axiom is that anyone who claims otherwise is lying."
"The ableds are at it again."
"Sit down and let the REAL disabled people talk."
"You're never allowed to find similarities between disabilities that are of different types, even ones you have, and if you do you're actually the reason why accessibility is such an issue because conflating them is why ableist doctors don't give us what we need and why society thinks medical gatekeeping is good, actually."
"If you're that suicidal do us all a favor and kill yourself."
This is without even getting into stuff about how disabled labels often apply differently to systems. The big discourse now is "nonverbal" labels for headmates who are permanently, always nonverbal, primarily by people and systems who refuse to view systems as anything but "parts" of a single person. Which is funny to me because ah yes, we have actual studies showing physical disabilities such as allergies can apply only to individual headmates, but gods forbid you apply a neurological label to someone whose brain activity is not only visibly different on scans from yours, but to the extent that it changes your entire shared physical body!
Like here's a novel idea: maybe we could just stop policing how other disabled people talk about their disabilities forever! Maybe we could blame any and all harm done even from the unicorn-rarity "actual fakers/liars" (also don't think I don't see you being ableist against people with actual diagnosed that cause compulsive lying) on the ableists DOING the harm because it's actually perfectly possible for them not to cherrypick our words and listen to the MAJORITY of us!
Maybe, just maybe, we could form a coalition, focus on the REAL enemy (ableist medical professionals and lawmakers) and push for actual change for ALL of us!
Something I find funny/odd about Dracula and the weird sisters is that Dracula tells Mina: "You have aided in thwarting me; now you shall come to my call. When my brain says “Come!” to you, you shall cross land or sea to do my bidding"
So he can totally summon vampires, no matter how far they are, to cross anything to come and aid him... Yet he won't call three experienced vampires to help conquer England when he's facing stubborn suitors hindering his job... As if he's been dealing with the sisters for centuries and just wants some me time. No, don't come it's FINE. I got this under control you three stay where you are.
The sensible reason: He needed the Brides back at the castle to maintain the stronghold and keep the locals terrorized.
The funny, actual reason: If the Brides knew how catastrophically he'd screwed up in England, Dracula would've staked himself and fallen on an axe just to escape the roast fest. He's not telling them shit.
Watch the last video/story by motaz azaiza on Instagram, or the last reel on shaunking on Instagram. I can't copy the link bc they're shadowbanned. It's vital. I cannot share the clip but seeing that kid like that made me almost throw up. God I cannot believe it's real but it is. The kid is still alive and fighting, his cries of agony. I know kids in gaza are strong but they are kids. This is very real, we're watching it happen. I wish that was me instead of the child. I am shaking so bad I think I'm having a panic attack and I'm behind the screen. Please let the world know what they're supporting, what they're silent about.
there are no recorded instances of snow in Chaco but sometimes stones fall from the sky, this is because the Gran Chaco is a 50-70 character level region
My fair outfit to go to the fair today consisted of 1) my Hellraiser tshirt that actually fits me as opposed to my 163940 huge shirts & 2) some black leggings I found at the back of the closet & felt pity for. AKA clothes a lot more fitted (?) than what I usually wear & my sister was like "🤨 you look a lot skinnier" & my parents also agreed and I just ignored it as I do whenever someone comments on my appearance but it kinda pissed me off ngl
finally had the vampire cutscene while the team was camped in a cave* so all of the conversations afterward had astarion in this fuckin ethereal rim lighting, which really added something to it
thinking about how charlotte came to in the moon pool in 2x26 'unfathomable' with her tail gone, limbs flailing, and likely no memory whatsoever of what transpired since she became moonstruck. in 1x18 'bad moon rising,' when rikki wakes up in the moon pool after her lunacy subsides, her memory of the few hours prior instantly disappears. i can't imagine how distressing it must have been for charlotte to look around, see her legs in the water, her enemies safe on the sand, and not have any idea how she got there. that kind of pain would truly be unfathomable.
