I really liked these unique scenes that were made for the Pikmin Garden website entry on caves. Technically, neither of these use unique assets, but it's kinda cute that they went through the trouble of making these scenes just for character building.

It almost gives me hope for DLC~

Honestly, having been in the Kaitou KID nightmare trenches of: They Won't Ever Let Him Wear Anything Else But That Wretched Outfit. Seeing official merch and art for mp100 took me awhile to realize that "Oh. Reigen can wear any outfit actually." cuz I was Absolutely prepared to see him in his signature suit only to keep seeing him in different outfits fitting for the theme.

Only to be thrust out into space. How fortunate that they had spacesuits on already.

another funny thing about Louie- though this could probably just be considered a funny thing about Pikmin 2 in general- is like. it's Louie's second ever mission (according to the intro), and he gets abandoned on The Hell Planet, where Olimar just crashed MAYBE like a month ago and had to fight for his life. and left to his own devices, Louie decides to go "fuck it. i can work with this", and tries to cook and eat every single living thing he comes across. AND he succeeds with most of them, too. man was thriving on this oxygenated hellhole. kind of iconic honestly

I like looking at people trying to make sense of the hocotatians/koppaites/etc unique traits, especially their more cartoony ones. It goes with the spirit of the games really trying to sell a weird and unrecognisable, but still functional ecosystem with species not totally separated from reality (in most cases *eyes the gatling groink*)

On the other hand though i equally like that the koppaites funny cartoon-logic eyes are just kind of unexplainable in earthly terms. They contrast with the realistic natural scenery in a way that really tickles me and they even look different to a lot of the species of the planet, and thats with some creatures like the bulborbs still not obeying 100% realism logic in their designs either. With bulborbs its ultimately like okay i will believe this is a fucked up animal in the distant future when our planets atmosphere and environment turned so hostile to our native fauna that everyone turned fucked up looking in response. And STILL the koppaites look like they definitely did not evolve in the same conditions as the bulborbs
