RANDOM SGE REWRITE / AU THINGS

suddenly feeling the ghost of my 14yo self throttling me to be cringe and annoying (debatable) again and me and @evening-blossoms have a Torrent of ideas weve been building up over the years that i HAVE to get out or i will just. idk. start screaming? and never stop??? idk

also disclaimer this is very very tangentially related to any form of arthuriana. at least half of this is incorrect to anyone who has actually read and knows the stories. or sge for that matter lmaooooo

PART ONE: THE DRAGON OF CAMELOT

the pendragons are an absolutely rabid family and it all started with uther. hes the grand old patriarch of this family and by god he is. possibly the sole cause of every single fucking problem ever in the au. at least the ones that arent cause by r*fal

uther pendragon was a general for king gorlois of camelot until uther decided the crown was shiny enough to start a coup over. he was helped by merlin and later nimue and also uh his Epic Cool Fire Powers

he married igraine. not because he believes in marriage or anything this man is Completely sterile. he just thinks her kids are cool. he might be a dragon in human form

their names are morgause and cecilia and while morgause is fucking Rabid (aka your average young girl) cecilia is older and also Actually Cares her dad got butchered by some GUY. uther doesnt seem to register this he just thinks shes shy (even after 20+ years of being her stepfather)

at some point uthers hoarding behavior extends to Collecting behavior and he decides he wants another kid ([igraine voice] like to hang out with?? [uther voice] yeah) anyway here's alessandra of camelot and.

at this point i think its just going to be an entire recap of the pendragons family history in bullet point form. so. find the rest under the cut. if you dont want to its ok ily anyway stay safe 🥰

years go by and the girls grow up and igraine is still longsuffering and uther is still. idk hes weird. hes a weirdo. hes my funny grandpa guy if you know succession hes like logan. with fire powers. anyway morgause marries king lot of orkney (or oakwood. maybe) and alessandra falls in love with one of her father's knights, ector 🥰

storian better write ector a good ending bc hes has to ask uther for his daughter's hand in marriage. (morgause's marriage was a kept arrangement by gorlois) anyway poor guys sweating in his boots ready to be run through with his own sword and turned into a shish kebab. but it works out well bc uther has a Massive soft spot for his kids

morgause and alessandra all have happy(ish, in morgs case) lives with their husbands and have kids etc etc. morgause is also planning lot's death and manipulating the knight (lamorak) shes having an affair with to do the killing but thats neither here nor there and shes a girlboss anyway 🥰

INTERLUDE ONE: WHOSE DAMN BABY IS THIS

in order of uh. whats the word. Birthing theres alessandras first (and arguably Only) son kay. Japeth kay pendragon, to be specific. hes the oldest and hes everyones golden boy hes strong and clever and 🥰🥰🥰 UTHER'S HEIR TO THE THRONE. all caps bc this is a surprise tool that will help us later. or not if you like know whos the next king of camelot 💀

next up, a few months later, is morgauses firstborn, gawain [middle name] pendragon. of orkney. he is as rabid as his mother used to be and also he and kay shared a crib/bedroom/home for basically their entire lives theyre basically like brothers if brothers were Obsessed with you. gawain is kind of. if youve watched hannibal he is like hannibal. but louder and worse. (how is kay so normal genuinely like)

and then Immediately after him (or like. five minutes) heulwen pendragon of orkney. shes more of the brains of the operation. she actually Thinks about things for more than one second before deciding to disembowel the problem away. she isnt opposed to horrific violence though. poison is usually just cleaner.

and immediately after Her is ceridwen pendragon of orkney. a little copy of her mother 🥰 although slightly more impulsive. always trailing behind heulwen, more of the Doer to her sister's Planner

theres a lull for a few years, and then agravain pendragon of orkney is born. and he is born rather frail and sickly and honestly king lot is kind of disgusted by it. Eugh how DARE this son be chronically ill!! Stick Him In The Attic Where I Cant See Him!!!! imo morgause shouldve killed lot right then and there but ig shes more patient than i am. puberty will hit ags like a truck tho he'll be Massive. but for now hes mostly [agravain voice] mamMa, why cant i play outside like the other children? 🥺🥺🥺

3 years later and out pops gaheris of orkney. hes a lot more. Abled than agravain,,,,,, at First. heulwen and ceridwen do something Unspeakable to this poor infant and now one of his arms is longer than the other. king lot is disappointed yet again. gaheris doesnt talk much and he greatly prefers trying to burn ants (and small animals. and his siblings) with magnifying glasses. hes awful to be around.

INTERLUDE TWO: THE ARTHUR PROBLEM

so far i have neglected to mention cecilias love life for one reason. she didnt have one. until a handsome young seer from someplaceinthewoods strolls in and storians point if there was ever a time for weirdly ominous music to start playing it would be here and now. this seers name is Arthur (currently the first). he doesn't know it yet but falling in love with cecilia is going to be the Worst Decision Of Their Entire Lives.

shortly after a whirlwind romance they settle down, get married, try for kids, the usual. all this while though good ol arthur 1 has been having some pretty,,,,, Troubling dreams. ones that say cecelia will bear a cursed child who will one day bring ruin to the woods and its very dramatic tbh. arthurs worried, though. very worried. dreams arent just dreams when youre a seer. and cecelias just announced she's pregnant.

cecilia is dead, arthur is executed for treason and murder, alessandra adopts her dead sisters newborn but cant even give him cecilias name because uther needs a scapegoat. anyway say hello to arthur proper everyone. the arthur we all know and love(????)

alessandra, ector, and the family move out to nottingham where theres some Nice Peace And Quiet And Zero Gruesome Murder Whatsoever. unfortunately kay is still uthers heir so the old man would like him in camelot. for his education, yknow. teach the boy useful things! like stabbing and maiming.

arthur grows up um. averagely in nottingham. yea his cousins all think hes cursed and stay as Far away from him as possible and/or bully him (without kay getting on their case about it) but at least he's got grisella around! and merlin's new ward, callis,,,, although she doesnt seem to like him that much.

kay goes to sge and all. gawain and his sisters do too. although how on Earth they got into the school for GOOD,,,, idk. [coughcough] king lot [cough]. they have fun, make memories, Dont get horrifically transformed into animals or plants. kays amazing but how in earth did the orkneys survive. beats me

PART TWO: THE CALIBURN DILEMMA

and then uther just fuckin Disappears. is he dead? has he abdicated? is he being imprisoned by nimue at the bottom of the lake for being too old? who knows! but that leaves the throne Wiiiide open for an 18yo kay to move in. the people love him anyway hes nicer than uther and less murderous than uther and is generally more. Good. which is something camelot has been Severely missing for the past,,,,,,, idk 30? years

so the pendragons host this fun cool coronation tournament and kay can have His Special Day and show off his skills🥰🥰 but Uh Oh! someones forgotten his sword on the trip from nottingham! oh Arthur you silly goose [laugh track] now How will kay compete?? you better go find another sword Right Away!

arthur what are you doing. yes that sword in the square is abandoned but. no why are you pulling it from the stone. arthur did you read the plaque under it Arthur No Arthur Stop ARTHUR DONT PRESENT IT TO KAY OH NO

so this is how arthur starts a civil war by running an errand. turns out the sword was caliburn, gorlois's family sword, aaaaand its been enchanted to only be drawn by the legitimate heir of gorlois. And Guess Who That Isn't. so kay is. torn between family loyalty and. Everything He's Been Raised For and the kingdom is about to tear itself apart between supporters of kays reformation and believers in the old rule.

similarly, the pendragons are torn apart. the orkneys already saw arthur as a threat, barely part of the family at all. especially gawain, who loves kay an. unhealthy amount. and basically offers to carve arthur from gut to gullet. this does not help their straining relationship.

kay chooses arthur.

he gives up his claim on the crown and tries to convince himself he did the right thing by giving the throne back to the family his grandfather usurped. but he did saddle a 12 year old with the reign of a kingdom so until he's old enough, arthur needs a regent, and,,,, well,,,,

PART THREE: THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL

so when arthurs 15 he gets shipped off to sge. joining him are callis, gaheris, and gareth

INTERLUDE THREE: GARETH

like two years after arthur is born morgause has her last kid. aka gareth. and then she causes a little battle to happen in which king lot is killed by lamorak and she becomes the sole ruler of. whatever kingdom shes in. probably oakwood.

PART THREE: THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL (cont'd)

and its pretty shit for arthur ngl. hes pathetic. hes also a middle schooler. hes a repressed bisexual with a family history of alcoholism and mental illness. and now hes going to be turned into a newt [stares depressedly out of rainy window]

so he turns to literally the only person who can Probably help him AND doesnt hate his guts. aka callis 🥰 read my fic. do it now. basically she says yes tho. and then they have study group together until callis's roommate evanore (nora for short) gets suspicious and follows cal and finds out and callis convinces nora to blackmail them.

under pretense of getting callis to do her homework for her nora joins the study group (the real reason is arthur is Deeply pathetic and needs to be studied like a bug). their other roommates aleksander and george join the study group. nora's forest group member robin joins the study group. robin's roommates castor and pollux join the study group. gareth joins the study group. gaheris does not.

upon event of trial by tale nora and arthur have festered a rivalry that results in them having a Deeply petty fistfight in the woods and they are Both sent out relatively early. later nora asks him to teach her how to swordfight well. arthur does not know how to swordfight well. they become good friends.

we knows about the lance gwen arthur love triangle thing so ill skip it. snow ball happens. lance dances with gwen. arthur needs to have a cry about it so he runs off into the blue forest to have hysterics. he may or may not make out with aleksander about it (long story). they never speak to or make eye contact with each other again for 20 solid years. aleksander is somehow still tedros's godfather.

the next two years is full of magic and wonder and many many nosebleeds. nora undergoes character growth. arthur degrades. fourth year quests are assigned!!! 🥰 somehow he manages to get gwen to come back with him to camelot. callis is regretting her decision to be his secret wingwoman.

INTERLUDE FOUR: WHAT HAPPENS IN CAMELOT STAYS IN CAMELOT, or EVELYN PART ONE

in the meantime while kays been regent and preparing camelot for arthur's reign, he hires diplomat constantin sader to smooth over remaining resentment, as well as to reestablish ties to (ever) kingdoms gorlois had once allied with. constantin brings along his daughter (because storian knows she needs to learn Something. like responsibility)

this daughter is evelyn sader. and her father was right. she Does learn something. its definitely not responsibility. she takes one look at camelots gilded castle and decides that one day she is going to be queen.

and so begins the most baffling period in kays whole life, when evelyn decides her easiest path to success is to woo him and get him to betray arthur, who he was willing to give up his entire future for. i never said she learned how to be Smart. maybe she shouldve paid more attention to constantin, who knows.

and i Did say kay was clever but also he's been through a lot. the closest thing he has to an actual friend is gawain and. Uh. Yeah. so when evelyn strolls in and tells him hes Working too hard 🙄 Ugh come on we're getting you Out of this stuffy office!! and manic pixie dream girlfailures her way around his life, weeeeellll hes a little bit. 🥺👉👈

odd couple if ive ever seen one. she weasels his way into her life and attaches herself to his family and by the time constantin realizes what shes trying to do shes beloved by the pendragons. constantin shakes his head in disappointment. This Girl. Whatever Will He Do With Her? How Did He Get Here?

PART FOUR: MORGAN LE FAY IS NOT RELATED TO ARTHUR IN THE SLIGHTEST

someone who is Also regretting her life choices is nora, who has just found out shes going to lead her friends to overthrow and/or attempt murder upon dear sweet arthur. this Definitely violates the bro code even more than arthur stealing gwen from lance (although. how weak does your game have to be to lose to ARTHUR.)

nora waffles about for a few weeks while her quest group (alek, george, callis, and castor+pollux) starts to disband. george leaves to be a pirate. callis is [REDACTED]. castor+pollux were ditched Ages ago. nora and aleksander put their big brain heads together and have a Massive thinking session and the best they can come up with to both Not fail And not piss off arthur is to. be in disguise. also it Would help the lil guy out 🥰 make him seem cooler for beating his Big Bad Nemesis

it starts with getting a man on the inside. nora knows something of swordfighting so its up to her to sidle up to arthur and lie through her teeth about why she wants to be his knight. she physically cannot lie. arthur is exceedinly optimistic and has the deepest faith in everyone. nora is introduced as sir lionel, newest knight of the newly formed round table. leo for short.

soon enough, though, leo/nora finds out that theres trouble in paradise for the newly betrothed couple. probably the biggest open secret in camelot. because she's so philanthropic she decides she might as well buy them time to sort it out before they go off and get hitched together for the rest of their lives. its definitely because them being unstable leads to the woods being unstable and its a whole lot of politics she doesnt want to untangle. its definitely not because she wants to be Nice. thats absurd.

so leo is like hey gwen. lance. what the FUCK. and theyre like haha. we dont know :) and leos like well you Better figure SOMETHING out. gwen youre Literally getting married in like a month just tell him before arthur embarrasses himself. and gwen is like ohh well 🥺👉👈 ill Try my best i swear. spoiler she Doesn't. and the wedding is almost upon them and leo just decides Ok You Know What and puts on a veil and wig and dresses up like a cool enchantress tm and crashes the wedding in the middle of the vows

absolute chaos. george got his pirate buddies to raid shit and its fun. and lowkey the orkneys are in on this so they stop/misdirect the guards somehow. aleksander just wanders around in a mask and stares Directly at gwen like :| :/ :\ and shes like I Am Looking Away. arthurs has no idea whats going on or who these people are but he just assumes well. hes got nemeses now! fuck!

cue fourish years of arthur holding off the wedding until he can hunt down morgan le fay and her henchman mordred. (and gwen trying to work up the spine to tell him she doesnt and never loved him) but to track down an enchantress he needs a full round table of knights so he goes out and collects a bunch :]

INTERLUDE FIVE: ARTHUR FUNNYMAN AND HIS FRIENDS WHO REALLY AREN'T AROUND FOR HIM

first knight is bedivere 🥰. arthur and kay go riding off in a desert somewhere, find a giant who tries to kill them, almost get killed by said giant, and then are saved when the giant gets a spear through the eye and falls over to dramatically reveal this cool mercenary guy with a metal hand and honestly love at first sight for kay. they become besties 4 lyfe 🥰💗

(evelyn doesnt mind. shes trying to hook up with gawain anyway but (un)luckily gawain is 1) a firm believer in the bro code 2) dense as a brick wall. i dont get it either but i guess theres something in the camelot water. Gawain of All People,,,,,, well i mean she likes R*fal so)

second knight is lucan who is bediveres brother. he sure exists! bootlicker tho. theyve been wandering around as swords for hire ever since they left their home kingdom so when arthur offers them a Stable job lucan jumps at the chance. bedivere too but mostly because kay is hot

third knight is actually gareth, surprisingly. while his older brothers were suffering themselves to be arthurs knights (or rather. doing it because kay told them to), gareth is more of the bootstrap mindset. so hes a kitchen boy in camelot castle for a good while unbeknownst to his brothers. then arthur holds a tournament (great track record with those, huh) to find good knights and gareth signs up under a fake name and quickly beats everyone up and gets to the final round where he has to duel gawain. gareth breaks his brothers nose and arm and wins and gawain is So proud of him 🥰 violence is the only language he speaks and gareth sure became fluent

i mean theres like way more knights they collect like percival and lamorak and dinadan. but the last one i have a story for is galehaut. hes kind of the leader of an army, could be a king but idk, self proclaimed at the very least. anyway he and his bestie/blood brother bertilak decide it would be fun to attack arthur. (bertilak might also be there because leo/morgan paid him to start some trouble. or scare gwen into dying of a heart attack Really that girl is. equally stubborn and spineless at the same time.) anyway they have a big battle but then galehaut sees lance hacking into his soldiers, drenched in blood, and is Immediately overcome with 😳homosexuality😳 to the point where he just surrenders and pledges himself to arthur so he can hang out with lance all the time. go gayboy!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

INTERLUDE SIX: GAWAIN GAWAIN HOMOSEXUAL GAWAIN

while galehaut is falling in love with lancelot (real girl magnet lance is.) bertilak is meanwhile just being a nuisance by Not dying and also blending into the grass. hes green. hes a knight. he cant die. get it. Anyway at some point who interrupts his cloudwatching but our own favorite rabid orkney gawain [boo] to stab him a whole bunch of times. bertie is Also not immune to hot murder man covered in blood 😳 and immediately pretends to die whereupon after the battle he is put on a plank and put in the castle basement i Guess.

like an hour later arthur and co and galehaut are having a feast to celebrate their new partnership. which is Immediately interrupted by bertilak crashing through the door and Demanding someone tries to kill him. well not really he just says a blow for a blow and Arthurs like ugggghhhhhh Fine. ill do it.

and then gawain just shoves the runt aside and blacks out and chops berties head off. dw he gets better 🥰 and bertilak is like omggg 😳🥰 [twirls hair] youre soooo strong sir gawain will you come by my place in a year 🥺👉👈 so i can chop your head off 🤗🤪 (smth smth the rituals are intricate smth)

this post is long enough as is so if you know the story of the green knight its about the same except with more bisexuality. yes i said homosexual in the title but yk its for the joaks tm. if you Dont know the story then. uh.

gawain goes to find bertie. stops by some guys house. guy is like "ill go hunting and bring you whatever i catch and you also have to give whatever you catch". gawain and guys wife immediately try to make out. guy comes home and gawain makes out with him. repeat scenario two more times. gawain receives magic scarf or belt from guys wife that will help him not die. gawain goes to green knight castle, turns out berties been guy the whole time. bertie swings the axe, gawain flinches, bertie laughs and does it again, only to just give him a tiny nick. gawain is kind of disappointed ngl 😔 but hey. free boyfriend!

PART FIVE: SOMETHING HAPPENS AND MORGAN IS GONE AND CONVENIENTLY LEONORA HAS DECIDED TO SETTLE DOWN AND DISAPPEARS

yeah. ill be honest there are still gaps in this post that Would be filled if leo was a pendragon. guess thats a recap for another day. anyway arthur almost marries gwen but then during the whatsit. bachelor party he and grisella have a Moment. thanks robin for chads existence. youre his godfather now. arthur marries gwen two days later so i guess we cant All have good things

whats Also been happening is that evelyns been trying harder to get kay to overthrow arthur. yknow in an omg he messed up so bad with the morgan thing! you should kill him 🥰 omg no im Joking kay ugh lighten Uppp 🤪 but no really you should kill him 💀 im JOKINGGG 🤗

girlfailure. arthur catches wind of this and how kay hasnt really discouraged her or anything (tbf kay hears shit like this All the time from his cousins. literally every day. all the time. everyone just fucking hates arthur.) and arthurs just like What The Hell Man. Its Her Or Me and kay is immediately like well 😬 sorry evie its been fun. and then evelyn goes to sulk with the orkneys and makes out with gawain about it. hell of a rebound choice ig

but after that it all seems like smooth sailing for arthur. his subjects seem to Finally trust him, hes fresh out of the hot new fairytale, hes proven himself to all the woods, and now hes got a baby girl on the way 🥰

INTERLUDE SEVEN: THE GREAT ROYAL ACCIDENTAL MISGENDERING

so arthur and gwen welcome into the world their new firstborn child, Although theyre keeping any announcement all hushed up until the christening (does sge Have jesus christ? the rhianing. no rhian doesnt resurrect. WELL,)

but i mean the royal rot gets it out that the baby is a girl. this was the point in time when the royal rot actually Had any sort of trustworthiness. people counted on them to tell the whole truth and nothing But the truth but em. well.

constantin's since retired so arthur calls in his son august instead and tells him to paint the kids coronation portrait bc arthurs still hung up on His. august is a little shit about it tho, horribly mysterious and refuses to answer questions, and slowly the portrait turns into that of,,, a Boy??? a bit something like this 🥰. and arthur and gwen are Very confused but august is just like Oh Whatever Could This Mean 🤗 One Hundred Gold Pieces Please (or however much his commission rate is)

[arthur voice] I Guess We Have A Son Now???? and theres a Massive scramble to correct. Everything. birth certificates. the announcements. court gossip. And They Havent Picked Any Boy Names.

so now literally everyone in the family is just lazer eyed (especially gawain. for some reason. he already has his Own kids he couldve named them gawain if he wanted to but Noooo. henec and Gingalain for Them.) and honestly theyre brawling for Their choices to be the new lads name. but for once neither gwen Nor arthur are pushovers and they stand their ground. but to appease the family they Do agree to give him middle names.

the only one keeping a level head is grisella,,,,, who has been suspiciously absent for. oh. about six months. she Says its because her sister was giving birth but um. doesnt ella look a bit exhausted? im sure thats Nothing though 🥰 shes pretty much the Only one who pays gwen any mind and helps her out with dealing with the baby and all of that. Women Support Women 😤😤😤 and she doesnt get kicked out bc thats bullshit ([gwen voice] you really know what you're doing [grisella voice] 👁️_👁️ Uh.)

its actually Grisella who comes up with a Nice name for the lil guy. tedros :] you could call him teddy for short! shortly after arthur and kay Finally manage to wrangle their cousins and decide on middle names. they are um. not as good choices as tedros.

but even so, the christerhianing goes on without a hitch and the whole of camelot gets to meet [deep breath] Tedros Cecil Japeth-Kay Uther Kyduan Lancelot Gareth Pendragon. (teddy really sounds better dont it.)

INTERLUDE EIGHT: WHAT HAPPENS IN FOXWOOD STAYS IN FOXWOOD, or EVELYN PART TWO

so since shes been kicked out and banished from camelot, evelyn decides to take matters into her own(ish) hands and. Sulk in foxwood. really she is a girlfailure. but then she finds out she's pregnant and hatches a devious plan to. spend however many years raising this kid to Eventually overthrow arthur(s kid). shes patient i guess! queen of the long haul. i mean she spent at Least 5 years pestering kay to Maaaybe consider stabbing arthur 🥰 just a Little Bit cmooonn

maybe the mistral sisters are involved. maybe they dont exist. who the fuck knows. what Does happen is evelyn gives birth to a beautiful baby [REDACTED] and a pile of eels. she names the pile of eels after her ex and hates it for the rest of her life. go worstie. the other more normal baby grows up more beloved except for when it sets things on fire sometimes. i dont think evelyn should be a mother.

raising children to one day overthrow their uncle/cousin is tough work. even tougher when one of them is a pile of eels. and it cries and wants to be loved. god how Awful right 🙄 listen if youre going to have a pile of eels you might as well be Prepared to love it. sorry japeth 😔 but eventually evelyn gets so fed up by this (and the whole. other kid setting things on fire) that she decides to dump the twins at arbed house and peaces out to mooch off her brother august

arbed house is also Largely a scam run by a never aka dean brunhilde who just gets rich parents to pay Ludicrous amounts for her to "Make Their Evil Children Good" when all she does is treat them with human decency and teach them how to swear. shes incredible. rhian and japeth are in Great hands

INTERLUDE NINE: KAY PENDRAGON GETS BACK WITH HIS EX DESPITE EVERYONE TELLING HIM IT'S REALLY A TERRIBLE IDEA

exactly what it says on the tin. evelyn gets kicked out from sge by r*fal and shes Blue now. so ofc she goes crawling back to the pendragons because Man. Work??? shes not Meant for this life! shes meant to lounge about all day and be someones hot trophy wife who gets doted on head and foot. as she should ig! somehow she weasels her way back into meeting kay again who is much more suggestible this time. because

its about the time when arthur has grown both More cocky and More insecure. hes close to suspecting gwen of something but currently hes just going on quests to Destroy Evil and erasing any memory of uthers reign and all that. and kay finds it a bit unnerving. arthurs growing rash and swaying to anti-never sentiment, and weeelll. didnt evelyn warn him that arthur wouldnt be a good king?

so when they meet up again its Kay who brings it up and evelyn Immediately pounces on that doubt and starts prying deeper. she also neglects to mention the kids she abandoned. but yk she just like nooo kay Please keep talking about how your brother isnt the best and you were wrong to side with him

they see each other in secret but it really ramps up as arthur gets more. suspicious. he starts doubting gwen, evelyn starts solidifying her relationship with kay. now theyre married and have Another kid, a little girl named katherine. evelyn thinks Finally shes got a hold on kay, all she has to wait is for arthur to make just One mistake. just One more crack in the pillar to make the house fall down,,,,, and well,, doesn't arthur want Proof of gwen's betrayal?

PART SIX: THE HEIRS OF UTHER PENDRAGON

it doesnt take much to tip arthur off the edge. all evelyn needed was an anonymous letter, a little recording marble of gwen sneaking away, and arthur's on the warpath. he grows demanding and paranoid and well. we know how it ends. he disguises himself and finds out it was Lancelot gwen chose over him. and when he gets back gwens Gone and he puts a death warrant on Both their heads.

evelyns plan backfires though. not only does kay Not decide arthurs gone too far, if anything he sticks even Closer by his brothers side. Someone has to take care of him, kay reasons. someone has to look out for him. someone has to Stay.

bedivere doesnt see it that way. he already had waning loyalty towards arthur, but this is the last straw. he asks kay to come with him, but when hes refused bedivere walks out the door and never returns to camelot. arthur puts a warrant on his head.

arthur starts drinking, starts seeing enemies around every corner, in everyones face. he starts to listen to bad advice, people who tell him only what he wants to hear, that it's all because of hidden evil, you see. It Needs To Be Eliminated.

kay watches as his brother starts spiraling and he's Helpless. grisella watches as her friend banishes anyone who argues back and she doesn't know what to do. tedros watches as his father slowly kills himself day after day and he's only a child.

arthur hears word that nevers have set up a base near camelot, that theyre planning an attack. he rallies whatever knights he has that haven't left him yet and rides out under cover of night, ready to defeat his enemies. and he does. he and his knights raze buildings to the ground, torch the land, slaughter the men, and the women,, and,,,,, the children.

this isn't a never army base. this is a Village.

but it's just collateral damage, arthur tells himself. they should've made it more clear who they Weren't. his heart is cold, eyes steeled. a pendragon at last.

kay leaves the moment he hears the news. arthur barely notices his absence. kay goes home to his family, holds his daughter, and while his wife pretends to comfort him she smiles. evelyn is patient, and evelyn has won. all that's left now is for kay to be the Hero, to save camelot, be the king he was Meant to be. but she puts too much faith in him. kay picks up his sword, kisses his girls goodbye, and rides off into the woods.

PART SEVEN: UNREST AND REBELLION

nothing happens in the woods with no consequence. since news of arthur's attack spread, the divide between evers and nevers has only grown wider. evil rallies for morgan le fay to return, the old nemesis of arthur to foil him once more. but morgan never existed, and only one man lives who knows it.

aleksander scourie, now royal advisor to netherwood's (alleged) witch-queen, has long since put his fighting days behind him. but he has never been one to stand by when he is called. he sends aid to a rebellion brewing from the survivors of the village massacre. he gathers up the turncoat knights, anyone still willing to face arthur in battle.

but kay has always been and always will be arthur's only brother. and kay cannot, no matter what, raise his sword against him. he cannot abide arthur's actions. but neither is he brave enough to fight back. use me as a scapegoat if you must, says kay. blame me for whatever happens to him. but i cannot kill my brother.

there is an old title, some say, the mantle of a guardian who keeps the balance in the woods. aleksander finds it darkly fitting when they bestow it upon him. they make their final stand at four point. don't nevers always die at the end of fairytales? mordred aleksander puts on his mask anyway.

arthur doesn't believe he'll die that day. after all, he's on the side of good, and good always triumphs over evil. even so, he keeps his hand on excalibur's hilt as he rides to four point, heart cold. eyes steeled.

it's a bloodbath.

people say no one knows who killed arthur. this is a lie. the real truth is that they don't want to admit that for the first time, an ever Lost.

but the question still lingers. did evil really Win?

is it all fake ? part 2

Chris was in a mind of his own , it had been an hour since his meeting , and he still couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he will need to find a fake wife . As Chris walked the busy streets of London with his cap and glasses on he wondered around different corners not really knowing where he was going . Chris had been to London many times in the past for press tour , filming and that was what he was currently doing in the city , right now . Filming for his next movie .

Chris walked down a street , it was less crowed but still had people running up and down , the loud chatter and loud noises ,was causing chris to not be able to think straight , his head was being all fussy , until he smelt that strong , burnt smell of coffee

“ a cup of coffee might do me good “

Chris wondered further down the street , until he stopped in front of a brick wall , stained with old paint and god knows what , it had a large window which you could see in side, it looked like fairly modern , shaky kinda , the walls were either white or laid with wood , it was two floors with the second one only taking up half of the space above so it was almost as if a balcony, Chris could just about make out book selves at the top .

He went and reached for the door , thinking this was a good enough place since it wasn't that packed. Just as he was about to reach for the door it swung open , with someone exiting the cafe , the ransom person give him a small smile as he stepped to the side allowing them pass . as he door was about to swung back close he catches it , opening it wider and stepping in

the first thing he noticed was the cafe smelled of coffee and vanilla , it bring a calming scene , as he stepped in he heard a booming high pitched laugh as he made his way in and towards the counter , the laughter continued and he couldn't help a little smile on his face , it was a sweet laugh a one that made him want laugh , even tho he had no idea what was so funny .

it was until he reached the front of the counter due to there being no line he found at from where the noise was coming from , there was a y/h/c girl with her back towards him laughing her head off , with someone on a stood on the other side of the counter , The one on the stool coughed , probably singling that there was a customer

the y/h/c girls laughter was slowly coming to a stop .

“ill be with you in one minute “ she said still not facing him as she continued to giggle ,trying to calm herself down

“its okay “ Chris could help but a little chuckle sipped his lip

the girl took a deep high pitched breath , Chris heard a faint “ i hate you “ probable aimed at the other girl who just shrugged

Chris shakes his head slightly with a small smile placed on his lips , as he looks down removing his sunglasses

“what can i get you “ he heard a sweet voice speech , clearly sore from her laughter , but every word spoke professional and very much British , Chris looked up to see the girl turned around , facing him with her hand on the cash register , with a smile , and cheeks redden , with her y/e/c staring right at him sparking .

“umm “ chris coughs up at abit as he forget to breath , “mm ill just have a straight black please .

the girls smile only got wider “ oh an American “ she said

“yeah what give that away “ Chris was slowly bring back his confidence which moments ago had disappeared for an unknown reason

“ oh i dont know , people just dont order straight up black coffee around here “ she stated , with a little smirk as she presses buttons on the cash register

“oh so its not my accent then “ he jokes , sharing the same smirk

“oh that too “ she giggles

there was a moment were the pair of them giggled a little , until she spoke up once again

“will you be sitting in or take out ?” she asked

Chris was put back by the question , he original just wanted to get a coffee and get going but something was telling him to stay

“sitting please “ he answered

“ okay ... that will be £3.65″

he nodded giving her a £5 “thank you “ she placed the money in the till and gave him the change . He wasn't expecting anything back , but then he remembered that people dont usual give tips in the UK , so he found a jar label tips/donations and stepped to the side , until he saw some stool and sat on one , he placed his hands onto the counter , where he was from he could see the girl , shifing around making his coffee , he couldn't help but look .His mind was clear for once , forgetting that he needs to find a wife .

he was quickly brought out of his own head as he saw the girl coming closer with a cup in her hand and placed it in front of him

“enjoy !” she said

“im sure i will “ Chris smirked

“ i dont see how , thats just straight black , its basically the same as as straight up vodka “she had a playful disgusted faced on

“well i happen to like both “ chris chuckled “so what do you usual have then”

“well .. “ she dramatically began “ hot coffee aint the nicest “ her British accent coming out strong “ i like mine , cold , with ice ,a shit tone of milk with either vanilla or caramel “

Chris month opens wide and nodded his head “ so you like it sweet “ he said “ like you “ he blurred out , his own mind racing

“why did you say that she probable thinks your so weirdo now !” he asked himself

her eyes widen and her cheeks redden ,

“i guess “ she simple shrugged trying to hide her embarrassment

“so do you usual judge people on their orders “ chris asked trying to avoid what he just asked , while also wanting to speak to her more

“not really “ a playful smirked fell on her lips “only the ones like you who drink the devils juice

“oh really , is that what this is “ he lifed up his cup taking sip “ devil juice ?” she just nodded “okay then , what do you think of me ?”he asked

“how do i know , i dont know you apart from your order , never seen your face before around here “

“oh yeah , im here for work “ he sighed

she simply nodded as she wiped the counter down

“let me guess work isnt the best at the moment so you are using coffee as your fuel.

“ha quite the observant one arnt you “ chris chuckled

“not really just a guess”

“well you'd be right “ he sighed , lifting his coffee to his lips , staring straight at her as she did the same

“i like this place , i might come back “

(2) I'm old. Ok, not that old, but getting old and single. So very single. I'm trying these dating apps but I find myself just swiping left on every guy. Each swipe, I'm filled with self loathing and judgement on myself (how can I decide if I want him based on a few words and pics) Do you have any advice on online dating? My word! Thank you so much for reaching out! Lol I read this message to The Handsome and he is invested in this answer as well :D

Thing 1: Online dating is tough. It’s hard to know if someone is the right one just based on a picture and a short profile. (In fact, I swiped “no” on The Handsome the first time around.) So I admire that you’re making an effort to find the right person, even though there’s a lot of digging you have to do.

Thing 2: When I was in the dating field, I read the most interesting book (Something about cracking the online dating code...I have now forgot the title.) Anyway, the girl did a lot of research and analysis and realized that she wasn’t being too picky...she wasn’t being picky enough! She was saying “Well, he isn’t quite right but I’m being shallow if I reject him because of that...” And then she would go on a date with the guy and it totally wouldn’t be right and she’d have an awful date and she realized it was because she wasn’t setting her standards high enough.

So my advice is a little counter-intuitive--if it doesn’t feel right, even just by a picture or blurb, it’s totally not right. BE PICKY. What this girl did was write up a list of everything she wanted in a dream boy. She wrote down what were absolute deal breakers, what she definitely wanted, and she would not go on a date unless the boy fit that.

When I got to the end of my rope with online dating, I finally bit the bullet and wrote that same sort of list. I mean, totally pie in the sky stuff. I wanted someone who could sing really well. Someone who was the strong and silent type. Someone who loves Disneyland. A solid church guy. And a bunch of other things.

Then, I prayed about the list and went forward with the determination that I would find that guy, and there was no way I would settle for less. Right after, I matched with The Handsome (who matched EVERYTHING on the list...it was crazy!) and we went on our first date and were talking marriage after that. I felt like Cinderella, seriously.

Anyway, all this to say, maybe try being even more picky than you are now. (I know that sounds counter-intuitive haha) If it doesn’t feel right, it isn’t. Write a list of everything you want and then move forward with that in mind and DON’T SETTLE.

So I guess that’s my advice. Don’t get discouraged...I have learned there is someone for everyone out there. Even a weirdo like me :)
