P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas) I'm really interested in a Superboy concept that is an AU (obviously) where instead of the Newsboys breaking him out as a teenager, Jim Harper broke him out when he was at the equivalent age of about 4 and out of desperation to keep him away from Cadmus (Paul Westfield) he smuggled him into Metropolis where he was then put into the foster care system. This was a hush-hush operation organized between Jim and someone else (I am not sure yet). The plan was to legally have him placed with a trusted person but due to the chaos of Superman being dead and the rampant crime in Metropolis, paperwork got sloppy and Kon was then funneled to unintended people and there was nothing they could do about it.

Some key differences here is Kon is more like Superman in that when he was this young he really didn't have ANY powers so everyone just thought he was a normal four year old. The implanted knowledge and behavior was also at what people would expect a four year old would be. Four year old Kon still called himself "Superman" which didn't make anyone think this was unusual, he's four, kids sometimes have nicknames they think is their name, Superman had just died, nothing about it was strange so they passed him off into the system.

And he kept cycling through the system. He's gifted, he's challenging, the state is trying to find out where the fuck his "real parents" are. No one knows anything so he's in a lot of temporary housing. Some good, some okay, and some bad.

Eventually, when he's around 15 he starts manifesting his powers and all hell breaks loose for him and his current housing placement that he doesn't really know what to do with. He runs. He's run away before, but he was caught almost immediately but this time he finds he can run much, much faster. He's always been fit, but this fit?

Other notes about this world- the timeline for the 90s characters is also a little different because Kon got to have a childhood and aged naturally so Tim and Cassie were born earlier as well so they are all the same age. Bart shows up when Kon is about 15 as well. I'm not depriving Kon of his friends.

Concerning his name, agents eventually had to name him, and because he showed up very shortly after Doomsday's attack (they thought maybe his parents died) they decided to give him the last name Kent after Clark Kent who is a beloved reporter and was one of the confirmed casualties. Conner is chosen because they wanted a "C" name but didn't want to use Clark.

Superman does come back to life in this, and Jim never reveals what happened with Kon until reports of a boy who can fly and lift cars with ease start circulating and he knows he has no choice but to talk to him and own up to everything.

“ fuck you!” Ash growls 

“ Hey! I know you're mad about me leaving” Griffin said. “ 

“ Your going off to war….what if you?” Ash trails off memories of war statistics he read come to mind.  

Griffin sighs “ I don’t have a choice, Uncle sam called and i’ve got to Answer” 

“ Its not fair! I don’t want to be left alone with him!” Ash groused

“ Look, I know he messed up but he’s still our dad” Griffin argued. 

 Ash ground his teeth together as he looked over his shoulder at Jim callanese who was grumbling the whole time while chugging a beer. 

“ I’m surprised the locals haven’t come after us with pitchforks for bringing him” Ash muttered. 

“ Ash!” yells a cheerful voice as Eiji Okamura jogs up to him. 

“ Wow your fast!” 

“ Or maybe slow America body is weighed down by burgers” Eiji sassed. 

Ash laughed, his eyes drift to Eiji’s sweat-caked tank top and he flushes. 

“ How much further?” Jim snaps 

“ Simmer down pops” Ash retorted 

“ Speak like your father like that again you disrespectful little w….” 

“ Ok!” Griffin cuts in “ Eiji, we’re almost there right?” 

The Japanese boy nods. 

His eyes are nice Ash thinks dreamily. 

“ Little further” 

“ Speak English” Jim said sharply 

Eiji looks like he’s resisting the urge to say something. 

“ Almost there…sir” Eiji said, he leads them toward a tunnel which they follow him through. 

Jim lets out a discontented grunt. 

“ Where are we going?” Ash asked Eiji 

“ Jiufen” Eiji said. 

“ Wait that’s in Thailand” Ash said. 

“ Oh I meant Kyoto” Eiji laughed 

“ I swear you said Jiufen” Griffin frowned. 

“ His English is such shit we cann’t understand a word” Jim pointed out. 

“ Ash you really think I can magically take you to Thailand?” Eiji laughed 

“ Your right it was an honest mistake” Ash realizes those eyes are so warm and innocent. 

Eiji leads them to an abandoned theme park  “ Ta dah welcome!” 

“ Why is it abandoned?” Griffin asked 

“ Something smells good” Eiji sniffs the air. 

Ash realizes he’s right, Griffin and Jim follow his lead and the group finds heaps and heaps of food in a tent. 

Jim starts piling a plate. 

“ Hey bastard! This could be a setup for someone's festival!” Ash points out 

Griffin puts a hand on his shoulder “ don’t worry, I've got some crash on me, i’ll pay for it” 

“ That’s your problem Griff, you're always cleaning up after him!” Ash complained 

Jim starts eating ravenously. 

“ You should stop” Eiji interjects quickly. 

Jim  scoffs “ Why the hell should best dam food I’ve ever eaten. Hey, there any beer around here?” 

“ Here’s some wine” Griffin selects one of the bottles. 

Eiji looks gleeful for a moment. Ash shakes his head maybe his eyes are playing tricks on him.  

Jim opens it and takes a swing his eyes light up “ This is incredible! Here Griffin try some” 

Ash gets a chill down his spine “ No wait stop!” he exclaimed 

“ Ash relax, we’ll just take a bottle each” Griffin reassured him selecting another bottle that he peels the label from. 

“ No Griffin stop no this isn’t right!” 

They ignore him and keep devouring as if they’ve never eaten a meal before and swigging bottle after bottle of wine. Then their faces start to change and their snouts get longer their faces and stomachs bulge they start to burst out of their clothes. 

“ Dad! Griffin!” Ash exclaims soon where his brother and father stood are two fat pigs who race across the table making snorting sounds.

So there's a group of people willing to go up to the planetoids and I have a plan and they want to take over the planetoids and destroy the clones and it is the morlock and they came up with it recently and it was before they started screwing around with us and the clones hurt it and they start digging with our son with them and now it's going to become reality. Another talking about the relics that are in the sewer and that my good you saw him do it Mike goodhue Nelson saw him with his wife in person and she wants him gone. The guys are perfect and a criminal and his woman all the time and we want him dead. He's going to try and go to Titan. And they're getting ready actually you have huge ships a plan of attack and they're moving out. Better plan for Hera and Zeus and their children to take over the Big planets we're not sure what happened to that no we know I think they're doing stuff they might be. Now Dan is in Miami. He's being held with no bail. Mac is not about to do it yet but we think he goes to going Domino's and it gets done. It's starting very soon

ok so like. like here is the thing, ash and eiji completely blew me away w their romance. i have literally never seen truer love, bones deep soulmate heart crushing love like that in an anime before, like all my favorite ships aside this rlly just went to another level, i believed them in a way i never have with any other romantic pairing. so that ending, aside from being super wack logistically, ooc, and contradictory of all the building themes and character development, also just was a complete slap in the face and hurt like very few things have hurt me before in a show bc of how it made their love a tragedy
