sorry if this is mean but aurora needs to get a new producer so bad bro :(( i still think her voice is so good but the production is so bad i can't listen to her new music . its so pitchy and the synths are so sharp and her voice is half drowned out in the mix when she's got such an icy clear voice it kind of needs to be heard clearly too. if its competing then it gets harsh and like sore to listen to lol. her vocals would be so amazing with real strings and percussion etc etc too , like it could be so interesting (and we already know she's better live, i think thats pretty common opinion) but the extremely digital instruments and synth in her songs just ruin so many of them to me. imagine if cure for me didn't have the horrible synth keyboard that sounds so cheap and textureless and instead had some percussion T_T

Breakcore may not be a super strictly defined genre but I swear ppl will call anything that has noises at all like y'know music has like just normal ass music from any other genre breakcore with a straight face and I just have to sit there and try to not reveal I'm a pretentious fuck when it comes to this stuff

So, my conclusions from the J&H musical: it is okay I guess. It does the job good enough, and all of the actors sound beautiful. Specially Hyde's actor they chose him very well, the man was just screaming and singing with all of his might.

On the other hand, it's your classical adaptation in which the writers basically disregard and ignore the main themes of the novel (rip to the duplicity of man). It mutilates the characters in order to forcefully put them in modern characters traits and narratives. It also adds a stupid love triangle that serves absolutely nothing narrative wise. Moreover, said love interests are only there not only to have the madonna/whore complex applied to two surface female characters whose only purpose is to fawn over their version of Jekyll/Hyde, but also apparently a story about a horrible experiment born out of conflict and arrogance gone wrong and its consequences is... boring I guess?

Anyway, the game MazM Jekyll and Hyde is the best adaptation of the book, go and play it. And if you want to read the J&H weekly again, do that too.
