qsmp makes me feel like a conspiracy theorist almost constantly. I see someone go "yeah bad almost exclusively chooses tophats in games when given the option" and I immediately run back to my conspiracy board and pin that next to the photo of q!slime and q!mariana saying they'll adopt juanaflippa because she has glasses like q!slime/q!mariana respectively under a sticky note captioned "??? the original spanish-english egg pairs were designed in a way meant to attract certain parents to adopting them???", that's connected by red string to a note pad page stating "how random was the parent pairing REALLY?" with nothing under it - which is then connected to a string that leads to several polaroids containing the ending(s) of the wall and the wreckage of the button, captioned "why build a wall that big only to have it end at a certain point?" followed by a string connected to a notebook page in the middle of the board reading "the illusion of choice?" - connected to several other seemingly dead-end questions and theories, as well as some slight stragglers only connected to eachother and not the middle. and then I look over my board covered in feverish notes and I go. yeah okay so I may just have like a slight problem

I'm not okay.
I just watched pride and prejudice for the 15th time and I started crying at the end because I remembered that the Ineffables aren't going to be canonically happy until the third season, unless they decide to turn around the happiness (God forbid) of Crowley and Aziraphale.

Janus also has scales though? So I figured it was just a mix of Human and some sort of supernatural AU where Janus is just like that and it's totally normal 😂
ok i honestly didnt remember if i wrote janus with scales or not but it makes sense that i did bc when i write "human" aus what i really mean is everyone is human except janus is still half snake and just nobody questions it
but anyway in that case yes. if i ever write anything like... "human au" related, unless i specifically say janus doesnt have scales, he 100% does and its just that its normal for some reason lmfaoo. but explaining the wallet shot as some sort of like human/very very vague sci-fi thing totally works and thats just how we'll write if off lmaoo <33

Random UD headcanon #52178
Chris absolutely 100% purposely pronounces a word wrong just because he knows it will piss off Josh and Ashley.
I mean obviously Josh does the same thing as well because both he and Chris know it's the easiest way to annoy and bug Ash let's be real here, but this isn't about that. Oh no, this is about the single word that Chris gleefully discovered will set both Josh and Ashley off ranting and raving at him while he pretends to have no idea why they're so angry at him.
And that word?
Macabre.
Does Chris know that it's actually pronounced 'ma-cob'? Of course he does, it and all it's synonyms are basically like 50% of Josh's vocabulary, like come on here. Does he still constantly say 'mac-aber' with the justification that that's how it's spelt so obviously that how it's said? Oh you know it.
Does this also mean that Josh and Ashley have a full 5-step plan that fully details exactly how they plan on murdering Chris when he finally says it one too many times? A plan that only gets more and more macabre (heh) in the details every time he adds to that count?
Well, let's just say that they fully believe that no jury would ever convict them if they followed through with it and leave it at that...

I’ve seen a few people in the Addams Family fandom saying that Gomez can’t tell the difference between Yiddish and French as if this is a canon fact and yet...feel free to correct me if there actually is such a moment, but I rewatched all of the 60s show fairly recently and I don’t recall Gomez ever actually saying “that’s French!” in response to Morticia speaking Yiddish? He reacts to it by kissing her hand in a similar way, yes. And the word “Yiddish” is never actually used on the show (but that’s what it is.) But that doesn’t mean he thinks it’s French...just that he finds it attractive...he finds lots of things Morticia does attractive (practically everything, in fact), not JUST French.
Is there actually a single moment in canon where he explicitly calls it French, or have people just assumed for some reason that the only possible reason he could find it attractive is if he’s mistaken it for French?

i don’t like to be critical of other people’s writing, like that’s not who i am or who i want to be BUT i was just reading a fic that was a) all lowercase b) used a lot of text speak (‘u/ur’ instead of ‘you/your’, slang like ‘cuz’ etc) and i just couldn’t finish it. like i think it’s totally fine if that author has a particular writing style! it’s good to see people writing and expressing their creativity and i’m never going to fault someone for that. but i just do not like it aesthetically and i hope it doesn’t become a trend.
(p.s. i realize i’m also typing in all-lowercase despite literally just complaining about it, but the difference is that i just have an issue with it in a literary setting)

warning uninformed OSR Commentary (I don't know what I'm taking about)
due to prior discussion, I've been informed that magic users in a lot of old-style dungeon crawlers have such minimal access to magic because they're meant to depend on dungeon loot for a lot of their magic, scrolls and wands and potions etc
and this is frustrating - like don't get me wrong it's fine, interesting coherent game design - but why don't games spell this out clearly, (something something old dnd is 90% oral tradition by weight)
anyhow
doing away with spell slots seems sensible, all at-will magic should be in item form, break-to-cast spell tablets, potions, amulets and so on
all magic is ritual, it takes time, you cannot sit down and ritual for 30 minutes to fireball the enemy in heated combat, but it's fine with a bit of resources and extra time, a ritual can be set up to drop out delayed cast options
a wizard knows how to do this,
but with a little education, any idiot can learn to smash a bit of air-dried clay (inscribed with runes), chug a vile of green slime (or was that meant to be applied to a weapon), or wear a strange pendant, they just need to focus to control the magic,
in any case, going into dungeons to find lost lore is apprentice work, builds character
