#what if I don't get purple on Yak?

I'm here to report on the colors in episode four of Wandee Goodday, but first a few stray thoughts like I have another image to add to my collection of Yak looking at Dee crazy,

yet still going along with whatever Dee wants.

Also, Yak being bothered that Dee didn't immediately think of him as a friend was a good beat in establishing the "friend" portion of their benefits. They are friends who share their lives with each other and scheme together, and I'm glad the show is explicitly stating that.

Because the way the conversation began paralleled the way Yak wants to approach Taem about their relationship - What are we? "Are we datin'? Are we fuckin'? Are we best friends? Are we somethin' in between that?"

But also the nurse stating Yak must care a lot for his lover to get the vaccine and Yak looking immediately at Dee was perfection because 1) safe sex isn't just about you but about the people you are sleeping with,

2) you shouldn't be ashamed of caring about sexual health, so even if you hide behind queer pamphlets, drink water, get the shot, wear the condoms, and use the lube. Also, PrEP isn't just for men just like HPV vaccinations aren't just for women, and

3) it showed that Yak does care enough about DEE, his lover, to take their sexual health seriously -> Yak is on that Bed Friend's King level of sexy, and I'd go through the entire Kama Sutra with them both once all our test results came back clear.

Translations are always iffy but Ter mentioning that Dee wasn't thinking about his professional persona while Yak reminded Dee to not include his face in the pictures and Yei mentioned his brother being fine with Cher when they first started dating gives me hope that this show is going to lean more into the layers of being out because even though that "666" told me Ter was el diablo, he continues to make comments like that and Golf's other show, The Eclipse (which has been featured often in this show) was very much about (not) passing and levels of outness.

Yei and Yak's dad was a world champion boxer, yet he wasn't mentioned in this mom-focused episode and the mom is the one who opened the gym, so is the space that Cher and Yei are giving Yak to figure his feelings out something they weren't given by the father? Because Cher was worried about the pressure Yei was putting on Yak to move up a class.

And if the gym was the mom's, with all of its yellow, is Yak really like his mom as Dee assumed?

Because putting the opening scenes in black and white is an easy flashback technique, but in this particular story, where Yak and his mom are bright yellow, it was a painfully good choice to take the color and brightness out of the scene.

And it was an even better choice to parallel Dee comforting Yak in the same way Yak comforted him with a warmer (yellow) light than his normal purple one.

Because Dee is already in his feelings about Yak without realizing how deep he was, which is why he is wearing a soft yellow while Yak is wearing Dee's fake blue.

When they practiced what Yak would say to Taem, Dee thought about all their moments together, so he is falling quickly, while the signs are pointing out that Yak isn't there yet.

But I wouldn't be there either if I was still daydreaming about this beautiful goddess who always rescues Yak with her brilliance, sassy personality, singular focus, and yellow folders, but that sounds a lot like someone else.

A Purple Prince who is also brilliant and focused on winning but wild and sassy. Good to know Yak has a type. (Sidenote: the music choices swinging between romantic to tension-filled as the scene flipped between Taem and Dee was another great choice)

Because Taem is taken, even if not officially. She matches her guy. She had on a dark brown and black shirt, so he had on a dark brown cardigan with a black tie.

And she had on a brown-striped shirt with a black star, and he had on a brown jacket with black writing and a black tie.

Then again, Dee is no consolation prize. Not looking like that at least.

No wonder Yak is conflicted about what he feels when he looks at Dee because he most certainly is sexually attracted to him because *duh* who wouldn't be attracted to Dee (TER!), but as they sit in Yak's black and yellow room, it becomes more apparent that whatever he is feeling isn't just sexual desire.

And when Dee scratches his back just like his mom used to while tutoring him, it starts to become clearer that Dee, wearing his necklace, and in orange which is sooooo close to yellow fits easily into his life. (Sidenote: Together with Me taught me that in Thai, being itchy is slang for being horny, so good for this show and its layers)

Dee works so well in Yak's life that Yak is willing to get three shots to continue to have sex with him which can take anywhere from eight months to over a year to complete because each dose is spaced out by at least two-to-six months. Basically, Yak committed to a long-term plan . . . with Dee, who is chilling in his yellow-striped shirt.

So it's not surprising that Yak is wearing a deeper blue next week as he holds Dee on the couch since he is far more invested in this fake relationship than he originally intended.

I could write 5,000 more posts about them and this episode which I probably will.

But know that even though the blue Yak is wearing is getting deeper, I will not be satisfied until it turns into purple.

That's when I'll know they are both in love.

I've used a lot of purple in my work today, and some yellow, and it got me thinking about Wandee Goodday (tell me I'm obsessed with Wandee Goodday without telling me I'm obsessed with Wandee Goodday, lol)...

Purple and yellow are contrasting colors (also called complementary colors) because they are on opposite sides of the color wheel. Contrasting colors are the definition of "opposites attract" when it comes to color because they are completely different but complement each other very well. When placed next to each other (or, as in my profession, somewhere within the confines of the same canvas), it creates high impact and contrast. They pop.

So, what does that tell me about Yak and Dee in Wandee Goodday? That their contrasts complement each other.

Dee (purple) is more mysterious and (let's be honest) a bit cold. Yak (yellow) is more clear/direct and warm.

Dee enjoys luxury. I mean, neon lights (at least the quality stuff) are expensive and we've seen how much he likes neon lights.

Yak seems to enjoy the simpler things in life like just being around the people he likes and having fun with dressing up in different costumes.

(I could be wrong about this, though, considering he can, somehow, get his hands on all those costumes and props he uses to disguise himself when he goes to Dee's place. Maybe that's a very expensive hobby/kink he has, lol.)

Anyway...

What's interesting about purple and yellow, in particular, is that they also have overlapping traits, and (not so) surprisingly, so do Dee and Yak.

Purple (Dee) is associated with wisdom while yellow (Yak) is associated with intelligence. But even with this overlapping trait, Dee and Yak's wisdom/intelligence is different and complementary.

Dee is a doctor and it has surely taken him a lot of studying to get to where he is now. The kind of intelligence he uses every day (because of his work) is scientific and analytical.

Yak's intelligence is, I would say, more of an intuitive and emotional kind. He took what Taem said about people not always being able to be strong, saw it in Dee, and was able to empathize with it.

Even though they're both wise/intelligent, they are so in their own ways.

(Yes, Dee shows empathy for his patients as well, but I feel like he lacks some of the other aspects of EI at the moment, like self-regulation, for example.)

Another interesting aspect of purple and yellow is that purple is the color on the color wheel that's closest in value to black while yellow is the color closest in value to white.

In other words, purple is the color on the color wheel that reflects the least amount of light while yellow is the color that reflects the most.

Even though black and white and purple and yellow have different qualities and symbolism, the contrast between dark and light is there in both pairs.

Black is often associated with the night while purple is associated with mystery (one of the reasons being that pure purple is so dark it was likened to the evening/night in the past). White is often associated with light while yellow is (in the West) associated with the sun. In Thailand, yellow is associated with Mondays, and Mondays are associated with the moon (the light in the night sky).

With this in mind, it could be that Yak (yellow) is coming into Dee's (purple) life to shine some light.

There was that hint (in the 3rd episode) of a car accident that (most likely) took Dee's parents' lives. Considering what we saw in that flash of his memory, he saw them dead. Whether he was in the car with them or not doesn't matter, the trauma was evidently deep either way.

While I don't believe in other people being able (or having the responsibility) to heal your trauma (you have to work on that yourself), Yak might still be able to give Dee some light through another perspective on life. Perhaps to work less (so he'll have the time to change the lightbulbs, lol) and make more time for fun and play (like their FWB relationship).

With the whole contrast in values between purple and yellow, combined with the reasons they're in this FWB/fake boyfriend relationship, I also feel like Dee might end up hurting Yak.

Yak seems to be the one who is mostly into this FWB/fake boyfriend relationship and it feels like that because he wants to be there (he clearly likes Dee). Dee, on the other hand, is mostly in it for his own personal gain (at first to prove that he isn't vanilla and then to show Ter and the gossipy idiots at the hospital that he’s not into Ter).

And let's not forget that he likes to win...

And will probably do whatever it takes to win over Ter (since he admitted that winning at all costs is a bad habit he has).

The question is how much Dee will hurt Yak on the way to winning (because I'm pretty sure Dee will win the scholarship) and how far he will go before he realizes what he's doing/what he's done and what Yak actually means to him.

Eventually, though, Dee will realize his feelings because I'm sure he will see the light that Yak has brought into his life (literally and figuratively).

Anyway, that was my rant about color. I'll shut up now...

I had.. cutie mark head canons for Pony LU chain and I need to talk about them (these are my own HCs and you guys don't have to agree btw!!!!!!!) So, how and when each pony gets their Cutie Marks: Warriors: same time as his scarf. He was given the scarf and then the cutie mark appeared. He got it a bit later than his peers, but it's a very cool cutie mark. Fitting for a captain.

Time: can i be spicy? i want to be spicy, he got his cutie mark when he was 20. Not when he did OoT, not when he did MM. 7 year nap and woke up hoping for a cutie mark only to see a blank flank. and during MM, Everyone comments on it! like he never gets the mark of adulthood ever! okay not "ever" i want him to get it when he's 20 or sth and his cutie mark sucks,. and even twilight doesnt know what it looks like like he got it during a battle

Four: Would it be funny if he has four different cutie marks and when he's merged they're like, blended together - and his cutie mark gains another shape each time he upgrades the four sword - but like, instead of the four elements for the four sword,.his cutie mark is the forge and it just becomes more detailed and has different colors - like a red fire, blue hammer, green anvil, purple tweezers

Twilight: Yall know Yaks and Cows exist in MLP as like... high sentient beings that also go to school and talk and stuff. What if Ordon Goats. like Twilight's Entire Village. Twilight stuck out like a sore thumb. And he's Very very disappointed that his cm isnt a goat. he got his cm at age 14 when he was helping everyone on the farm, and it's some generic rancher stuff like a hay bale or sth.

Hyrule: is the triforce. id like to imagine that full triforce wielders gets a triforce as a cutie mark. He has a bunch of magic of his sleeves, and if you know anything about MLP G4 naming conventions, magic-adjacent ponies are named after light-emitting things. So, Triforce emits a BUNCHA LIGHT

Legend: Oh my god I imagine he hides his cutie mark because its something very soft (bnuuy) and people wont take him seriously - he got it when he was very very young, before his adventures. But the rabbit cutie mark depicts a rabbit that's shaking an apple tree. (proof of courage. or sth. that's what im aiming for as a symbol of bravery, but I am no writer)

Sky: Got his CM at the same time as Sun!!!!! They have matching cutie marks. His is a sword and a Crimson Loftwing's feather, while hers is a pair of wings, one white (like the goddess, but she didn't know that before the adventure) and one blue like her loftwing.

Wild: He DID have a CM before the clammy, but one of the side effects of the Shrine of Ressurection is that it also erases that pony's cutie mark. he woke up with a blank flank. and my guy fought the clammy and found his own new cm that fits him. honourable mentions: Spirits! He got it when he got on a train for the first time, it. was. magical

Wandee Goodday's Ep 11 of Doom was not an episode of doom. It was an episode of clowns, kisses and cuddles.

By character we have:

Dee - now certainly winning the popular vote in the hospital for the internship despite the clown costumes. And doing better than Ter in the surgery as well as arriving at the fight at just the right time (thanks to Taem - let's face it anyone's who's been to Bangkok knows driving in a car is not the best way to get anywhere fast).

Yak - still the biggest puppy on the block. That man is a keeper - from his balloon animals to his derpy kiss me face. But lying to Kao's face while the hooded figure is standing right there next to him? Silly boy. Also his sulky face is basically Great giving me a throw back to Inspector M's permanent expression in Manner of Death.

Speaking of Kao: he's got a date! And a cute one at that (hi Title). Here's hoping for lots of lovely cuddles and snuggles.

Yei and Cher: my preciouses. So freaking cute - yes babies, get married and adopt. Dear GMMtv, can we have a prequel of how they got together AND a sequel which can just be 12 eps of getting married and adopting and being all domestic? I love them so much.

Ter: NO. NO REDEMPTION FOR YOU. Personally I wouldn't get in a car alone with someone who's attempted to SA me but Dee's such a trusting soul.

Taem: stay away from Dr Ter - you deserve better. Far, far better.

Have just realised that purple and yellow make brown which is what Dee's wearing a lot of and there's more orangey brown lighting in his room now as well. Is this deliberate? But he's still in his purple scrubs while Yak's in his yellow for the pre-fight kiss. Which was adorable - the crowd went wild! I don't think Dee can refuse to admit they're boyfriends now...

What a lovely ep 11. Let's hope it doesn't mean that ep 12 will be doom laden. Honestly, I want Yak to win the fight for himself obviously but also because that Mason really needs taking down a peg or several. And then I want Dee to win the scholarship and turn it down because he's happy in Bangkok with his boyfriend. Which means that Ter will be in his debt forever. i'll miss this series when it ends. It's adorable.

Ahhh I'll do so happily!! I've been holding onto this ask because I needed a time where I could sit down and adequately screenshot everything. Warning for Neopets!! I'm probably going to use a lot of jargon that makes no sense to non-players, but that's just how it is. If you have any interest in more detailed explanations about wtf I'm talking about, I would check Youtube! There have been some great videos released in the past month outlining the mechanics of the game, the lore, recent events etc. Anyhow...

This is my Gelert, Lightning (misspelled as "Lighting" because little kid me couldn't spell). He is the very first pet I ever created. I might update his paint job soon to something more exciting, but I also like the simplicity. His petpet (recently painted Spring) is named after my IRL dog. I love them both.

This is Butters, my second oldest pet. Idk what I was thinking when I was naming him. Actually no, I do - my little kid self was edgy. But I can't ever part with him because he's from my childhood. I somehow managed to transfer him (along with Lighting) across two accounts without losing him, he is a relic. That won't be his permanent petpet either. I'm still figuring that one out 🤔

And here we are veering at least slightly on topic - my Lupe, Murdoc. Or Murdocs, since the actual "Murdoc" name was taken. I made him after a long hiatus from the site when I returned briefly (only to leave again up until now). If I truly wanted to commit to making a pet that represents Murdoc, I probably should have chosen a bug or reptilian species...but I don't want a bug or reptilian species ever. His petpet is a reference to the yak he got 2D during P5 fkadlfa. I'd like to ultimately find him one that looks like The Evangelist, but the petpet i have in mind is like, 10 million neopoints, or something insane like that. And I can't get him Cortez. Why, you might ask? Well...

This is Sanemi. His character has been a wolf in canon, but since I already had Murdoc, I opted for a cat instead, which I think is also fitting. He's typically associated with the colors green, white, and black, but his eyes are purple, so Wraith it was. The leaves are probably as close as I'll get to creating a "wind breathing" effect, and I'm working on finding him an appropriate sword (it's not going well jkadal). He has a few pets, but the only named one is his crow, Sorai. I don't want doubles anywhere if I can help it, so no Cortez for Murdoc.

This is Sansa, named for Sansa Stark from ASoIaF/Game of Thrones. Her petpet is Lady, named after her late direwolf (RIP). I couldn't not have a GOT reference somewhere, and I also love Woodland Unis.

This is Rusalka, named after my current favorite song by the Decemberists. I'm probably going to change her color to faerie soon-ish, despite the fact that I chose Maraquan in the first place because of the song and name reference. But they're bringing back the original Faerie Neopet art sometime this year, and I love the way faerie Ixis look, and I always wanted one when I was younger (I was too poor back then).

This is my second-newest pet, Kacchan. He's a Kacheek (Get it? Kacchan, Kacheek lmao). I finally settled on how I wanted my Bakugou pet to look. I still have to get him a few more accessories, namely a mask and a glitter effect, because in case you didn't know, canon Bakugou is literally sparkling right now. I also intend to change his petpet. The one he has now is just filler until I can save up for the paint brush I need.

And this is my brand new pet, 2Doc! Sjfkaldfj. I outsmarted the system - "2Doc" might have been taken, but Twodoc was not. She isn't staying that color, might not be staying that species, and definitely won't be keeping that petpet. She's currently call a "lab rat." It'll take to long to fully explain, but basically, if you collect a certain amount of map pieces, you can unlock the secret lab ray where you can zap your pet once a day. It's completely random and can changes species, color, gender, and stats. I plan on zapping her until it feels right, but I kinda want her to be zap Burlap or Plushie atm. We'll see what happens! In this specific pet's case, it's more about having the name than having an accurate customization.

And finally, this is my Giyuu/Sanemi pet. There aren't really a lot of references here, I again mainly thought it would be funny to have a pet named after a ship, and I created him at a time when I didn't think a 2Doc pet was obtainable. And if we're being completely honest, this ship is better than 2Doc anyways. I also love Plushie pets and the fact that most people probably wouldn't be able to tell that he has a ship name just from looking at the collection of letters. It's stealth lmao.

So, notably missing from this list is a Succession inspired pet. I more than anyone, want, no need to make a Succession pet soon, but the species I have in mind is limited addition, and can only be created on their specific day (the anniversary of the day they were first released). So unless I want to blow through half of my life savings (in neopoints, not actual money), I have to wait until April. Which rn, is what I'm doing unless I'm very fortunate in my dailies or weekly prize.

Anyhow, those are my pets so far!

“Charlie?” Sheri comes in to lean on the doorway. She’s back in her purple scarf and blue jacket, which is buttoned up to hide her torso. “Fran and I are ready to go. You want me to take her to breakfast?”

“That’d be great, thank you,” Charlie accepts. “We’ll meet up again there. If you see Astrid, keep her around till I show up.”

Sheri gives him a finger gun and leaves. He can hear her say, “Fran, we’re leaving. Charlie will catch up. You got your ribbons? Priya! When did you become a newspaper girl?”

Charlie finishes up his makeup a few minutes later and puts it away on the shelf below the sink. They each have a shelf for their stuff, but Charlie’s the only one with makeup. He turns around to the door-

“YAK!” He jumps back at the sight of a ghost being face to face with him. 

“Good morning, Sue! Did you miss me?” The ghost greets. His voice is dry and grating. He’s a lanky man with a curly white beard. 

“I�� don’t think I did…” Charlie tries to be nice. It’s hard.

That’s when Mary Sue, from behind him, pushes him to the side. She says, “Ryan, I asked you to wait outside. Leave the room.”

“Can’t I get a greeting like the rest of you? Ouch.” Ryan whines. “You try purgatory.” 

He jumps through the floor and disappears, leaving Charlie and Mary Sue alone. She offers him a hand to take him downstairs to the living room. They take a seat on the couch, and she offers him a glass of tea and a small plate of raspberry cakes. Charlie takes the tea, but one sip makes him instantly recognize the flavor. Earl Grey. It’s a flavor he hates, but Mary Sue loves it, so she’s always giving him that flavor. He tries not to touch the cakes, as he doesn’t like cake either. 

Charlie drinks it anyway to not be rude, but it’s a bit of a struggle. Seventeen years, and Mary Sue still doesn’t consider what kind of treats her descendant likes. 

“How was your sleep?” Mary Sue asks him.

“Perfect.” Charlie gently answers, trying to hide his disgusted face from drinking the tea. 

“Is the place okay?” She asks.

Again, he says, “Perfect.”

“I’m glad.” She says with pleasure, her sweet smile she always has never breaking. “By the way, you’re on the front cover of the newspaper today for your speech.”

She offers him the newspaper.

‘Charlie Sue makes a ground breaking speech upon arrival to Hiro’

‘“Hi.”’

“Darn it, Li.” Charlie mutters under his breath. 

“Hm?” Mary Sue heard that.

“I-I mean, good for you.” Charlie puts on the act again. “...Me. I mean good for me.”

She asks, “I’m sure you know about the First Action Arc, correct?”

“Correct.”

“I wanted to ask regarding the Rosuto sisters staying with you,” Mary Sue says. “How are they?”

“I bought the elixir for Sheri. Any episodes occur, I’ll tell a doctor.” Charlie answers. “Fran’s doing fine, I don’t think there’s medicine to worry about with her.” 

“We did a blood test regarding Fran and her place,” Mary Sue explains. “She wasn’t lying. She is Sheri’s sister.”

“You thought I doubted that?” Charlie raises an eyebrow. There’s a bit of sorrow in that line. 

“Jubilee doubted, but she’s quickly proven wrong,” Mary Sue says. “You know I don't make mistakes, right?”

“I know.”

“This First Action Arc is meant to show off the capabilities of Hiro’s Chosen One residency and fill in space for collaboration,” Mary Sue explains. “And my suggestion regarding you is that if the time comes, you will be the star.”

Charlie nearly chokes from the tea. “Pardon? The First Action Arc is for everyone.”

“You’re a Sue,” Mary Sue states. “You must be the center, no matter what.” 

She stands up and uses her telekinesis to clean up the tea set. She adds, “In the arena, there will be a real Weekling. Not a hologram one. You will slay it when it reaches the ring of stones, and every Chosen One there will watch. You’ll know where it is.”

“A real Weekling? That’s against the arc’s code.” Charlie calmly argues back. “That’ll put people in danger.”

“Which is why it’s in your hands,” Mary Sue says. 

“It’s not fair to everyone else taking the test. Not only would I be cheating, but others could get hurt.”

“A Sue such as yourself cannot die without notice. Chosen Ones don’t die before Destiny is reached.” Mary Sue states. “Nobody will be killed, let alone hurt, so long as no Average sneaks in.”

“With all due respect, I would like to play fair.” Charlie says. “I can be on the same playing field as everyone else.”

“Would ‘fair’ assist you in taking out the final threat of this volume?” Mary Sue asks. Her eyes turn orange from her tense voice. 

“Maybe me and the Rosutos can start ahead.” Charlie suggests. “With help from the princess, we could go after the Dark Lords and get the Diamonds back. I don’t see why not.”

Mary Sue claims, “You know, your mother attempted the same thing in her time. Most Sues have tried that, actually. It was always the same results. They got nowhere because Destiny doesn’t give worms to early birds.”

Charlie falls silent. Mary Sue notices. She approaches him and leans to his level, cornering him on the sofa. 

“...I know it’s less to ask of you, but the truth is, those Rosuto girls are not on the same level as you, and never will be. They’re never going to be anything more than assistants to you, as without you, they’d fall apart as nobodies. When I fulfilled my Destiny, I lived forever. No one in my time is alive anymore. But I remain. So will you.”

Charlie sinks in what she says. He doesn’t think that way, but she’s trying to dig her mindset into him. 

She tells him, as advice, “ Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice.”

“I don’t understand that,” He says.

“It’s old language, you’ll get it when you’re older,” She brushes off. “What I’m trying to say is, you’re the star. Give the people out there what they want to see in you. What do they want to see? They want to see perfection. They want to see you, from day one, slaying difficult monsters and showing it off that you are the best. Be the hero. Be what they want. Even if it kills you. Even if it empties you out until there’s nothing left but a body of raw power and light. No matter what, you don’t stop fighting until you give them exactly what they want to see. ”

Charlie hugs himself, feeling some uneasy bubbling in his stomach. It must be the tea. 

He gives a shy, almost mute, “...okay.”

“Oh. If I may interrupt.” Kopf shows up through the wall. 

“Were you listening to us?” Charlie asks.

“...of course I was. Are you kidding?” Kopf says with no shame. “I would like to escort our boy to breakfast before he heads out for the First Action Arc.”

He’s holding a busted fork, and his teeth are crooked and yellow.

“U-uh, I’m okay.” Charlie tries to deny it. He heads for the door. “Really, Kopf, it’s-it’s nothing, I know my way there.”

“Son, are you sure?” He asks. “Don’t you want to give your old man a hug?”

“Please don’t call me son, I’m good, I’m already out as we speak, thank you, goodbye.” Charlie shuts the door behind him. 

Thankfully, Kopf doesn’t follow him.

Don't the teams for this MCC seem so...OP? Like so far i think Yellow Yaks, Purple Pandas and Aqua Axolotls are so strong right now and also whichever team that leaves dream in. Like this MCC i feel anyone could win each team has its cracked players whereas previous MCC's it's easy to detect which team is probably the strongest

yeah!!!!! scott really manages to outdo himself with teams every new mcc. all the teams are so op, that it's going to come down to the order of the games, depending on what gets picked certain teams are going to be favored while others won't. i know that this is mostly what happens, but some teams have op pvpers/others have amazing movement players, so having a balanced team will be crucial to get a win.

I wanna ask, what do you mean when a character is a fake *insert colour*? Like you said wandee is a fake blue. What does that mean? And also, according to that logic, he's wearing that blue during that first kiss and I dunno how to feel about that...

@cryingoverweiying, what I mean when I state a character has a "fake color" is that I'm crazy, and I'm quickly losing my mind over fictional characters. But to give you some examples before I get into Wandee's fake blue, I will offer Vegas from KinnPorsche and Jae Young from Semantic Error.

Vegas looks green. He pretends to be a chill dude who is easy going and down-to-earth in front of the main family's bodyguards. Jae Young looks red. He pretends to be an aggressive rascal so he can work Sang Woo's nerves. But we know those are LIES!

Vegas is actually a red devil who has an affinity for torturing people, and Jae Young is really a chill green dude which is why he wasn't showing up for class in the first place. This is why I call their initial colors fake.

I've written a little bit about this in regards to characters changing their colors throughout a series.

So when I write that I believe Dee's blue is a fake color, I mean that I don't think it represents him as a character, and that Dee is pretending to be blue.

Blue Boys are calm, loyal, and passive aka all the things Dee was to Ter for eight years while being in love with him.

But I think Dee was faking it for love. I think the colors are telling us that Dee is actually a Purple Prince who is immature and emotional,

but also encouraging and compassionate.

Because the day after being rejected by Ter and sleeping with Yak, Dee showed up to work in purple.

And he just keeps getting more purple. Purpler? No that's not a word. You understand me though!

But it only happens the more he spends time with Yak.

Since Yak seems to have unleashed Dee's true nature of being childish and arrogant, which are things he never allowed Ter to see.

All these traits would seem negative (emotional, immature, arrogant, childish), but once again, this is only part of who Dee is, and he never actually showed that to the man he was in love with, for eight years! He hid parts of himself behind this fake blue to impress Ter, but with Yak, he can just be himself.

And it's because Yak was his yellow egotistical and energetic self around Dee from the start.

So his openness is contagious.

But this has caused a problem because I don't think Dee is the only one faking a color anymore in this fake relationship.

I wrote before that as much as Yak was picking up Ohm's style to impress Taem, Dee was actually the one to pick out the outfits and the color aligns with Dee's first love.

Brown Boys are wise, stable, and predictable. In fact, they are like the more solid version of Blue Boys.

So it makes sense for a Blue Boy to be with a Brown Boy.

They'd be super stable. They'd be totally truthful. They'd be really reliable. They'd be perfectly predictable. But does that sound like these two?

NO! THEY ARE CHAOTIC LYING TRASH PANDAS!

So I am praying that we see these two not only embrace their true colors once again like Vegas and Jae Young, but for them to embrace the other's color as well, and the only way to do that is through a good old fashion color exchange.

I don't want to see Yak in this fake ass blue or Dee in this light yellow or brown.

I want Yak in purple and Dee in bright yellow because even though I already know it's love since the pink keeps showing up,

I need the colors to tell me there's nothing fake about them or the love they have for each other.

Hello! I need your thoughts on Wandee Goodday! In ep 1 I remember Dee mentioning that Ter helped him decorate his whole apartment & pick out his furniture. Thoughts on what that means with all the suggestive neon lights? Did ter pick those??

Interesting question.

If I remember correctly, Dee said that Ter helped him pick out every piece of furniture. So, you're right about that. I can't remember the decorating thing, though.

Anyway...

Let me be a bit nit-picky before I get into the interesting stuff... Lamps aren't really included in the furniture category (lamps are more details/decor/embellishment). Furniture are things like sofas, tables, beds, etc. The bigger, moveable things that make a space more liveable.

However, this might've been a subbing thing, and what Dee said in Thai might've meant all of it.

In other words, I have no idea if Ter picked out those neon lights.

Maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. We might never find out. I can only speculate at this point.

So, speculation time it is!

If Ter suggested that Dee should buy the neon lights Dee's condo is so beautifully decorated with (imo), he might've chosen this sign...

To influence Dee to be less "vanilla" and more to his own taste (because no matter what Ter says, he definitely feels something for Dee, I just don't know what that is, yet). And if Ter did pick out this sign for that reason, he definitely wanted it to be placed above Dee's bed, and that just makes me loathe the douche even more (lol).

Could it be that he secretly likes Dee and, therefore, chose this pink sign (since pink symbolizes love)? Sure.

In other words, if Ter picked out those two specific neon signs, it might be a sign of his affection towards Dee (but possibly also manipulation if he tried/is trying to get Dee to change).

(Let me nerd out about color and their symbolism for a moment... The sign above Dee's bed is purple, which we all know is a mix of blue and red. Blue is sometimes associated with manipulation while red is sometimes associated with strength/dominance, which sounds like Ter and his audacity to ask Dee to let him have the scholarship. So, if Ter picked out that sign for that reason... The douche! However, blue is also associated with trust while red is associated with passion, which sounds more like Dee and Yak's developing relationship, right? So, if Ter picked out those lights to be a manipulating douche, I'm glad it's backfiring on his ass.)

Also, if Ter did pick out every piece of home decor in Dee's condo (furniture and everything else), I feel like things will start to disappear/be replaced the less Dee is hooked on Ter and the more he starts to feel things for Yak. Sort of like cleaning out your ex-lover's shit if the relationship ended on bad terms (which Dee's crush on Ter definitely did). So we might start to see what home decor were Ter's choices before we're told what his choices were (if we're ever specifically told beyond Dee's comment in the 1st ep).

Right now (we're still only 3 eps into the series, so it's still early on) the neon lights haven't disappeared. They've slightly changed color, at least in the bedroom, but that has more to do with Yak than Ter.

Just like the addition of that small yellow light (representing Yak) in front of the TV, which wasn't there before.

And the fact that Yak helped Dee fix that yellowish light that was blinking before.

And that more yellow light appeared at the end of the 3rd ep after Yak agreed to the fake boyfriend relationship.

I don't know if this really answered your question, or if my ramble made any sense. But it was fun to ramble about color for a bit.

She flew up drifting in the dreamscape without the need of even her wings and she entered the glowing sphere. Inside was several doors one with Twilight symbol and celestia's. There was also a door with caution tape all around it and a sign that said enter at your own risk. This was clearly discords. Their was something she never seen before as well something that caught her eye. A glass sliding door stood in the center of the sphere a place where usually only Celestia door or her throne would be present. It was clear and the glass shine against the bright scape around it."what is this? how can this be here?"she flew into the door as it sild open. Has she entered within the door slid close behind her and the once bright dreamscape disappeared into an empty void. Dark and vast the void filled every inch of her vision except for one small part. A figure stood sitting in a chair with a small table and a boiling pot of tea. The figure was boom and his human form a form Luna was foreign to. But his eyes were all she needed to know what was him and to know that despite her efforts he knew she was there and he smiled."Luna it's a pleasure won't you join me for some tea"

Man I love Wandee Goodday - this is a grown up bl that's managing to be funny, sexy and informative without becoming preachy. They are repping for everything from mental health and vaccines to communication, consent and fun sex. There's a femme guy who's managing a gym, an ace psychiatrist who's designing sex aids, sensitive boxers, and no evil female character. All this and a villain we all want to the boxer to punch. It's glorious.

Anyway our 'fake' boyfriends continue to be incredibly supportive of each other but NO! DOC! You got that pic of you and Ter out of the bin and saved it. Poor Yak - he looked so content poking around your shelves. Gah. Now he thinks you're still into Ter. Please tell me you're not still into Ter Dee - he's just a toxic habit you've given up surely?*

I'm not sure how Yak resisted punching Ter just now but I loved Cher's little mother moment.

Every now and again I forget that there's nearly a decade's age difference between Dee and Yak - Dee might be smart but, as Kao knows, he's a little immature emotionally.

I'm more shocked by the fact that Dee wore his Teeny Tiger gear to Ter's place than that he left the candles burning. What are you doing Dee? Why did you stay? That smug bastard is complimenting your tiger costume - the tiger costume you should be keeping for Yak.

Honestly I don't blame Yak one little bit - he waits for ages then finds Dee in his sexy tiger getup with a half naked Ter. Do we think Ter deliberately sabotaged his bathroom tap? Yes, yes we do.

Noooo - the inevitable break up. Sometimes I hate the narrative arc - I'd be happy just watching another 5 eps of Dee and Yak just being boyfriends and snuggly and domestic.

And now we have the crying. You silly men, both thinking it's the other who doesn't really care. The reach for the comfort of the necklace that's no longer there? Gutted. Literally gutted.

And now I feel sorry for Taem as well - I thought she liked Mr Student Council. Ter, not so much - even if I believed the manipulative fucker. And of course he passed out so we didn't get to see if Dee would have given him his first kiss while we did see Yak decide not to kiss Taem.

Cher, my sassy little queen, I love you so much. Please give your big boyfriend a smack for us. He is an idiot.

And this is not how I wanted the first kiss - I wanted it to be joyful. It was a good kiss - a great kiss - but neither of them were wearing their colour and they weren't lit by them either. That's what I want to see - them dressed in their yellow and purple, bathed in their light and declaring undying love. Give it to me now!

Wandee Goodday has been a happy counterbalance to the sheer stress and tension of My Stand In. Except this week. Ter and Tong are cut from the same cloth and they both deserve to have the snot slapped out of them.

But because Wandee Goodday has been so delightful so far, this episode has hit me hard - I need to go and watch something tooth achingly sweet and cuddle my cat.

*much like me and cigarettes - I gave up years ago but every now and again I still REALLY want one.

NB the interviews, bts etc are excellent - I don't usually watch these but Great and Inn are so good in them. They're both older than other GMMtv newbies and haven't grown up with the company so are just brilliantly relaxed and playful with each other. It looks like some of the dialogue and action is developed and/or improvised by these two as well - they're very naughty and Golf just lets them go for it.

Begin Again With Season Ten

Hey there, visual glitches. I guess since that last Ravagers issue was actually on the good side, we broke the curse. That shipment of comics I was waiting for finally came in, and we can review something relatively new for once. Remember that? When we used to review My Little Pony comics? Wow, it's been a while, huh? Is this preamble long enough? Let's get to it~

Here's the cover:

Ah, this cover is pretty good. At the very least, I mean, it does what a cover is supposed to do: grab your attention. It's very bright, and it calls out exactly what the next arc of comics is going to be. Yes, this is a continuation of the series following its finale. Which is a great place to jump back in, don't you think? There's really only one thing from the final season you need to know, and we'll cover it, but good cover. Also puts all the major characters on the cover, just to let readers know they exist~

So we open in Canterlot, since Twilight Sparkle doesn't live in Ponyville anymore. She's become ruler of Equestria and Celestia and Luna have retired. That's it, that's your spoilers. She's put out a call to all the most relevant characters: her friends, the Pillars, the movie-only characters, and even a few fan favourites. The comic even confirms that Lyra and Bon Bon are getting married, which is nice for all you shippers out there. Zecora's last to arrive, via the Rainbow Dash express, and with that, Twilight calls this meeting to order.

Well, you see, with Twilight now in an active position of power, she can't go galavanting all over the world solving friendship problems anymore. It just wouldn't be responsible. And the world has expanded quite a lot. The Crystal Empire popped up during season 3, for example. A whole bunch of new races appeared during the movie and season 7... So while we're now on good terms with yaks, griffons, dragons, and the like, there's still other places out there to extend the hoof of friendship toward. And thusly, she'll be sending out teams helmed by her closest friends to explore these lands.

Rainbow Dash, Captain Celaeno, Spitfire, and Lyra and Bon Bon are headed to the home of Celaeno's parrot people. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are pairing up together with Capper, Discord, and Trixie to where the catfolk live. Rarity is taking herself, Big Macintosh, Mage Meadowbrook, and Maud Pie to find the Diamond Dogs' lost kingdom. (Try looking between Pin-Ups and Young Americans.) And, most relevant to this first story arc, Applejack, Tempest Shadow, Rockhoof, and Zecora are off to the Farasian Shores, where the zebras live. At least, they are until Zecora hears where they're going.

For some reason, Zecora is very reluctant to return to her homelands. Sorry, Zecora, you had nine seasons to develop anything about your backstory and your people. Now you have no choice! She's so upset about the idea of returning home that she even stops rhyming to explain her feelings. Zecora explains that she prefers her life to be private, and that she has some bad blood back home. Applejack apologises, and Zecora reluctantly agrees to go with the group anyway. As she walks off, Applejack notices Zecora stopped rhyming for a moment there, and Zecora be's mysterious about that as well~

So, how to get to the Farasian coast? Well, on a boat, naturally. Did you know Cranky Doodle is a boat captain? Because I didn't. Also on his crew is a Gilligan-looking fellow named Ragamuffin and a surprise cameo by Steven Magnet. Tempest spends most of the journey being grumpy, though she does use her magic to fend off a storm. They also face down pirates, narwhals swimmin' in the ocean, and Rockhoof's restlessness in not having a use for his shovel on the sea. Finally, they set sights on Farasi, which causes Zecora's anxieties to rise again.

On the shore, they part with the crew for now. Get out of here, ancilliary characters! We're about to introduce a half-dozen more, and we need to keep the cast down as much as we can. Say, speaking of, the group meets their welcoming committee: a zebra named Marini with purple stripes. She greets Zecora warmly, but Zecora pulls away. Rockhoof takes her up on those offered hugs, though. Marini takes them on a tour, which includes a reference to Casablanca, and she's surprised Zecora has never explained anything about their home to them.

After mentioning that this is the home of Abraxas, one of Farasi's four princes, Applejack is kind of reluctant to meet with a full prince. Fortunately, she's got a different welcome wagon to meet first: Marini's friends! In addition to her, there are two lanky, two-horned ponies called Dust Devil and Cactus Rose. They don't tell you until next issue, but they're abadas, roughly the zebra equivalent of unicorns. The other two, Crystal and Medley Brook, are kelpies, which are ponies with control over water. They're all old friends with Zecora, who panics and runs away when confronted with her past. Who knew zebras had such anxiety problems?

Well, let’s start with the notion of season 10. It’s a neat premise and a good direction to take the series. No more sitting around in Ponyville! It’s a bit more of an ongoing adventure series than an episodic slice-of-life. I’m not sure they could have actually done this in the show, particularly with Twilight and Spike essentially retiring from main character status. But it definitely works for comics. Additionally, I’m glad they decided to do it as part of the main ongoing series instead of a “Season 10″ miniseries like the Adventure Time comics tried. It didn’t work out so good there~

As for the story itself, I’m very intrigued. Zecora’s status as a zebra was always the biggest mystery that the series had left by the end, so it’ll be neat to explore that in some depth. We’ll get to know her friends more next issue, trust me, but I like them. And speaking of friends, splitting up the main cast is something that also might not have worked in the TV series, but here it works just fine. It’s the Marvel Team-Up rules: pair some characters who normally don’t interact together and see what happens. It’s good for development~

I'm so happy the first day of Pride landed on a SaturGay because we were all greeted by a birthday-filled Wandee Goodday!

Even though the birthdays were celebrated so the kids would have one day they didn't have to remember the sadness (this is going to come back to bite us in the ass when Yak and Dee aren't together, I'm sure)

Who tend to be friendly, flirty, funny, optimistic, and down to clown.

And you know what colors align with a Sagittarius? Purple (like Dee!)!

So if we get Wandee's birthday, I'm hoping he is a Leo (the best!) or a Gemini because their guiding color is yellow so it could link with Yak's yellow.

Wandee could also be an Aquarius because his (fake) blue would make sense, pero . . . I don't want it because, once again, I don't think the blue really captures his *essence*.

So even though Yak keeps wearing blue

I think that's just him absorbing Dee's environment without realizing how much he already feels for Dee, who is dramatic and stubborn, like a Leo.

Therefore, I'm still hoping that Yak will realize his feelings when he finally wears Dee's purple, so I'll be patiently waiting here for this Sagittarius to wear his power color.

However, if he does wear purple, it means that Dee has won since Dee is hellbent on making everything a competition; therefore, he must win everything, even trivial things that shouldn't be a competition.

As @doublel27 pointed out, Dee already crossed the line into pink = 💕love💕 territory (aka how a show becomes a Colors Award nominee)

Yet Dee won't even let Yak call himself Dee's boyfriend even though Yak has done it plenty of times for his advantage.

The thing is, Yak is the perfect balance for Dee with their white x black color dynamic, and not just sexually (which would make sense if Dee was a Leo, so please do not let him a Aquarius, dear God!)

Yak remembers important things like the EXACT amount of time they have been fake dating

When Ter couldn't even remember how long they had been friends.

Yak is honest and open with Dee and works as a team with him

While Ter can't even be honest with himself and sees Dee as competition (y'all really hate this man, but he is my poor little meow meow and I am captain of his apology squad)

But this is also Dee's problem - he isn't honest with himself and views everything as a competition, even when Yak has proven that Teamwork Makes the Dream Work.

For Yak, a man who excels at a sport that is based solely on individual talent where a person must knock out the competition to take claim his spot, he clearly knows the importance of working as a team and the value of including others.

This is something he has learned from his brother because even though Yak is the only one in the ring, without Cher and Yei's dedication to each other, the gym, and their child/brother, Yak would not be where he is.

And that's something Dee, who was raised by his free-spirited grandmother, needs to learn, especially as a doctor who works in a hospital with other doctors and nurses. (Those tiny boxing gloves need to be hanging on my rear-view mirror immediately, GMMTV. YOU HEAR ME?! Where is my merch?!)

A true balance (they switched colors) means you have to compromise. You can't always win. Sometimes you have to lose, intentionally.

Because as cute as this argument was over the ridiculousness of names/positions and toothbrushes with Yak's yellow big bunny brush having little yellow boxing gloves (thanks @babyangelsky) and Dee's purple brush with an adorable teeny tiger on it, the argument still gets to the point that Wandee refuses to lose.

He is sleeping with a big dick every night (I just really wanted to include the plushie)

He is cuddling on the couch with his grandmother in the next room.

He is dressing up and cuddling on the floor with the purple and yellow food items on the table.

He is trying to bake and cook when his grandmother never did, emphasis on trying.

And it's all because of Yak. Dee not only wants Yak, but he *needs* Yak because Yak makes him better and allows him to embrace his true self, but I truly believe Dee's need to win will overshadow everything else, which is maybe why he and Ter were such good friends for eight years since they don't remember dates they don't think are important, they need to win regardless of who gets hurts, and they won't realize what they have until it's gone.

But . . . that's just me thinking as a competitive and ambitious tiger Leo, so who knows?

Dee could just be an unpredictable Aquarius.

Yak already said that he loves Dee, so it is about damn time for him to put on Yak's purple!

If the colors do not color the exact way I think they should, I will not enjoy this show any less because I am greatly enjoying it so far, but . . . either I see purple on Yak's body the next time they kiss on the lips or in the finale because if not, I'm going to turn into Miley Ray Cyrus and come in like a motherfucking wrecking ball to destroy EVERYTHING!

*I could be wrong. Their colors could be brown and blue. They could be bi-colored. Yeah, and Bojangles Bo-Berry Biscuit could not be the best biscuit that ever existed at any chicken joint. I'm always open to the possibility that I'm wrong about stuff. I don't think I have everything right all the time. I've been wrong before. This could be another instance of that. But if I'm wrong, then the whole team is wrong, and that seems . . . wrong.
