Gojo and nanami are definitely the most misrepresented characters in fanfic in my eyes. I share the same sentiments with you about nanami and people writing him as if he's geriatric because he's just a no nonsense, work and go home, responsible adult. He knows what memes are, and he knows how to use a smartphone, he even used video game terms when he was fighting dagon! ("It's like he has infinite HP") He would know who doja cat is!

As for gojo, I feel like a lot of writers conflate his extroversion and somewhat silly demeanor for having people skills. It's canon that his lack of social skills is his one main flaw! And you can see it through the way the other characters interact with him: Ijichi is scared of him, Nanami thinks he's flippant, and Utahime straight up despises him and he thinks she's just joking about it. All of the Tokyo students save for Yuuji and Yuuta think he's weird and find his silliness off-putting. I just don't think he'd be very popular in those college AUs that write him as some kind of social butterfly who's friends with everyone, at best, he'd be well-known for his good looks and family name and being glued to the hip to Geto, who would definitely be the more popular one of the two. He'd probably also put people off by making insensitive comments (intentional or not) when trying to hold conversations, he's just not a guy that can easily understand other people or be understood. That's just my take tho

i've already spoken my thoughts on nanami, but,,, yeah T-T he's a very 'no frills' character, and since it's difficult to make a character who's only goal is to be boring, y'know, interesting, people tend to just settle on making him act older/overly mature/overly stoic, instead. i get why it happens, but i do which creators would engage with how funny he is as a character from time-to-time. that poor man is bare-knuckling it through life, blasting cobra by megan thee stallion and trying not to get the sixteen-year-olds he works with killed and he should be more appreciated for that.

and i couldn't agree more with the gojo stuff T-T T-T the popular fuckboy is a very common archetype that a lot of people want to write around, and as the resident pretty boy, i get why people want to slot gojo into it, but it's literally canon that not a single damn person can stand being around him for longer than an hour at a time beyond, like, two high-schoolers and the ex-boyfriend who hasn't spoke to him in ten years. i think the only canon-compliant way to write for him in an college/no curses au would be like. that guy who everyone assumes is popular because he's rich and attractive, but actually has like two friends and is way better at sports + housework than his overly pretentious major. he just kind of sucks, and it's important to me that people recognize that as one of his most endearing traits.

Ryomen Sukuna

OKAY sooo here’s the thing. It’s fuckin Ryomen my guy. Love languages almost require conscious acts of love, or to at least ya know admit you’re in love. In that sense, Ryomen doesn’t have a love language; he actively mocks the concept of “love languages” as humans refusing to accept the fact that their emotions are all just chemical reactions in their brain designed to make them want to fuck.

That being said, it's Quality Time. 

Ryomen’s love is always quiet. It’s him sitting in the same room as you while you read, casually talking with you while you do chores, or insisting on being in the garden while you tend to it because “It’s my (his) garden, I’ll be here if I want! Don’t think I’m here for you.” He absolutely is there for you.

His biggest act of love is letting you sleep in his room with him. That's quality time by definition my guy.

He genuinely gets so jealous when you spend time with other people because that's how he defines love. It's the person you want to spend time with (Don’t ask him about it, he won’t admit it) so you spending time with other people means you love them. And he can not handle the idea of you loving anyone that’s not him.

Remember when I said Satoru was like a cat? I take it back, Sukuna is like a cat. He wants to be in the same room as you but the last thing he wants is to be perceived by you.

He just wants to watch you read your book and not be grilled as to why he insists on being with you all the time. He’s clearly just, uh…enjoying the fireplace! Duh! Foolish mortal, why would he vie for your affections?...so, uh..whatcha reading?

He will never admit it, but his favorite thing in the world is to sit in the garden with you, listening to you talk about flowers while he pretends not to care.

This is followed closely by holding your close to him at night, whispering words of affirmation to you you will never hear when awake. 

I think that spending quality time with you is the only way Sukuna knows how to show love. I think he often gets overwhelmed by physical affection. He’s not used to it, and he didn’t immediately take to it the way Gojo did. Words of affirmation are out because he’s not a wordsmith unless he’s making threats. Can’t do acts of service because his ego would never let him do a favor for anyone else, and he can’t find any gifts that feel worthy of you- none of them feel right. So, Quality time it is.

Words may fail him, but he’s aware of how he feels. And the soft intimacy of listening to your favorite music with you, watching you hum along and dance makes him feel so viscerally raw, that it’s almost enough to make him admit there maybe more to love than just chemicals making you want to fuck. 

Should I just write a fic at this point? Maybe because GOD I am a fucking sucker for soft Sukuna. Yes I am aware I am part of the problem, I do not care, give me 2 weeks. I can fix him!

Just imagine stargazing with Sukuna for a second. Imagine listening to the crickets chirp off in the distance, both of you are aware that it goes against everything he’s ever said for him to be out here with you, and both of you know better than to acknowledge that fact. You know you’re not supposed to love him because he claims he will never love you, but as your hand meets his, and you watch him tense for just a second before relaxing under your touch again, you both know it’s only a matter of time now.

L - Love Language - What is their love language? Does it change when it’s a romantic relationship or are they consistent with how they show love to friends and partners?

Gojo’s main love language is none of the ‘five original’ love languages, as it is 100% teasing you. It’s flattering, cause all his attention is on you most of the time you’re together, but you better be prepared to be flustered most of the time. He knows just what to say to make you laugh but also feel a little embarrassed with the right remarks and whispers that are always perfectly timed. He sends you memes all the time whenever you’re apart. The ‘hey, this reminded me of you’-kind. Some of them are super cute (two cats cuddling, an ‘I miss you meme’, but there’s also plenty of funny ones or the ones that call you out on your quirks. He takes what he can dish though, so feel free to send plenty back.

This doesn’t change much between a relationship and him being friends, he brings souvenirs after missions, he blows up everyone’s phones equally, and he is a little shit equally to all those he cares about.

What does change is the physical closeness he has with you, compared to other people. I wouldn’t necessarily say that he’s super into PDA or super touchy, but there is just a closeness, a tenderness that is distinctly different than the way he is around other people. Sitting close, with your thighs touching, a hand at the small of your back or on your shoulder, just walking closer to you, fingertips brushing against each other whenever you’re both handling something. He just enjoys being close to you at all times.

He’s one of the strongest men in the world, he’s gorgeous, he has a great best friend, and has a flirty personality that makes anyone fall for him. He has everything going right in his life.

All except for you.

You’re the one thing in his life that doesn’t seem to work in his favor. The guy has liked you for years at this point, and he couldn’t be more obvious to the fact he likes you, but you pay him absolutely no mind. Whenever he asks you what kinda guys your into, you mention Beyoncé. First of all, that’s not even a guy. You’re completely dodging his question!

And that’s how it is most of the time. You either pay no attention to him or refuse any of his advances and give him absolutely no hints as to who you’re into romantically or what it is you like in a person. The only reason he found out you had an ex was through shoko, and even when he asked you about her, you absolutely refused to describe what she was like.

As usual, he was texting you like crazy. He often did this, but today he was being sappy. He kinda just got really caught up in his feelings, thinking about all the times you two spent together and he couldn’t help himself! But honestly, seeing you message him back that, annoyed him. He knows you probably thought he was being his annoying self, the two of you were friends and he often annoyed you while you acted like you hated him jokingly.

You guys have been friends for so long now though, it’s hard for you to take anything he says seriously. He gets it, since he does the same thing to suguru but still. It’s annoying.

“Tch. Easy for you to say.” satoru mumbles, but suguru seems too busy laughing at his phone. Satoru raises a brow, “who are you texting?”

“The devil.” he says, and satoru immediately knows that it’s you based off of his answer. He groans again, putting his face in his hands. “You gotta be kidding me.” he says, his speech mumbled. Suguru isn’t paying attention.

If suguru liked you back, he’s giving satoru no signs. At least not vocally, but satoru peaks through his fingers and sees the red tint on his cheeks and… has suguru ever smiled at him like that? His best friend? No. He’s not familiar with that giddy grin.

Suguru probably doesn’t want to tell him, cause he knows of satorus feelings. Sugurus a nice guy like that, but it makes sense why his friend hasn’t been of much help to him.

Are you named after anyone? Yes actually! My legal name is based on the name of a band my dad likes, and I stole my chosen name off of a character from the Star Wars EU.

When was the last time you cried? While I was traveling a week ago; I got really overstimulated and exhausted while off my ass on Nyquil and had a meltdown :(

Do you have kids? Nope I am nineteen and not at all mentally healthy enough to be emotionally there for a child. am currently hoping to remove the baby making bits asap.

What sports do you play/have you played? I ran cross-country for about seven years (all the way through both middle school and high school) and got my varsity letter my senior year! I also did track & field for a few years (my events were long jump and 100-meters) and to this day I still go on jogs during the summer.

Do you use sarcasm? I am very autistic so my ability to discern tone is. not great. apparently I use sarcasm a lot without meaning to lmao

What’s the first thing you notice about people? Probably their voice tbh

Scary movies or happy endings? It wildly depends on the genre and my attachment to the characters. I'm much more of a psychological horror guy rather than an enjoyer of slasher films, so I definitely tend to prefer horror literature than movies. as for happy endings?? I definitely enjoy them when I'm looking for escapism, but unhappy/bittersweet endings definitely still have special a place in my heart.

Any talents? I'm really good at driving and I have perfect pitch!

What are your hobbies? I'm a big writer, and I occasionally dabble in drawing. I'm really into Stardew Valley at the moment and I've racked up over 200 hours at this point in just one save file. I am falling hopelessly for Sebastian but I feel too guilty to divorce my current husband Elliot. help.

Do you have any pets? Yep, a cat named Ekko and a dog named George. No the dog isn't named after GeorgeNotFound. My dad named him after George Costanza from Seinfeld.

Favorite subject in school? I was always really into history and would meticulously take notes to the point where I could've probably taught the class myself. however autistic gifted kid burnout hit halfway through high school and I barely graduated after sleeping through most of my classes lmao.

Dream job? Any job where I can put some music on and just Do Tasks all day. I worked tourism over the summer (hated that job and I never want to go back) and spent half of it hiding in the back room putting stickers on merchandise. I Love Boring Menial Tasks.

couldn't bring myself to answer this because I didn't know how to word myself accurately gyu. let me tell you, when I saw the leaks, I was literally eating lunch with my mother and she was talking so happily about clothes and printing ink and facial products when it suddenly RAINED 💔 SIGN NUMBER ONE. by that time I already got the notifs of the leaks dropping on my phone, but I didn't click on it because I thought it would be some reunion shit and everybody would be happy 😄 SO I CONTINUED LAUGHING WITH MY MOM ON A RAINY AFTERNOON WHILE THE WORLD MOURNED 💔💔 after lunch and some shopping I was like ok now I can concentrate on the leaks 🔥 and I clicked it and boom. I saw the memes. I saw that fucking panel. I saw suguru, nanami, and BY GEGE I saw toji. riko and kuroi fucking BROKE ME GYU, i really thought kuroi would have survived. suguru sitting down and comforting satoru after everything turned me inhuman. principal yaga rolling his eyes had my fists clenched. and haibara.......HAIBARA 😭😭😭😭 everything was so beautiful yet fucking nasty I couldn't take it. and my little meow meow kashimo came in at the last panel WITH GOJO'S TORSO STILL UPRIGHT. FUCKING FOUL GYU. i been scrolling through twitter for a couple days and everyone's been complaining about how gege's such a bad writer, but honestly I don't see it. his story is putting me on edge, it keeps making me want more, HOWEVER I will still beat the crap out of that cat for making the strongest soccerer into two soccerers 😭😭😭💔

-Ferris was incredibly shy and anxious when he moved there so he didnt speak to anyone for like. A month. this led Geto and Gojo to think Ferris couldnt speak Japanese so they tried to speak English to him and it was SO bad Ferris thought they were mocking him and asked what they were doing. This was the First time Ferris actually spoke around them KJLFDSHKGF

-Ferris is a year younger than the other 2, so as First Years Ferris was only 14. On top of that, he's just naturally really small and short. Despite that, as first years Ferris was actually marginally better at martial arts and fighting with weapons than the other 2, and during training would easily wipe them both out.

-Once Geto and Gojo started inviting Ferris to hang out with them more, Gojo started picking on him the same way he would with Geto. Not malicious, but playful and Gojo is still a bit of a little shithead so for the first while Ferris would sit there looking like a crying cat meme cuz Gojo would take his snacks. (Geto would give Ferris his snacks in return to make up for it).

-Ferris goes through bouts of being "sick" and would stay out of school for a few days to rest. One time Geto and Gojo also skipped classes to go sit in his room with him and keep him company and watch him. Even when Ferris was sleeping, they just sat there in the room with him reading or playing games.

-Ferris didn't go on missions with them for awhile at the start, with his mentor/their teacher keeping Ferris back with him and taking him on separate missions. The first time they begged to have Ferris join them and got him to come with, they watched Ferris decimate a Grade 2 Cursed Spirit with ease and I think that's actually the moment they both got a crush on him LKSJFDHK

1. KPOP makes me immensely happy, It's been a source of my happiness and a hope that keeps me alive at this point. Kpop has given me friends that I didn't have (people just drop me). My Ults and my side stans, I am grateful to them. I've been using music as my gateway for a long time and Magic Shop is a place now, so well.

2. DRAMAS AND ANIME make me happy. Animes like Naruto have been giving me hope since long. Then there are characters like Kakashi and Gojo and I am obsessed with them. Also dramas BLs, and romance or fantasy or both. Yk I am obsessed with "The Untamed" and Legend of Fei at this point. They help me cheer myself up.

3. MY 2 BUDS. Going out with you and Theeta is a source of happiness. Drinking with you was a lovely experience and made me happy and alive in the real world after a long time. My friends genuinely make me happy. And I am so glad to have you.

4. CATS. My cats or cats in general actually. I love dogs too, most animals, apart from the once I am scared of. But, my cats even though they aren't interested help me alot. Talking to Kookie has often given me perspective in life. And their activities amuse me 24/7 and its a part of my lifestyle now. Also cat videos and memes!💕

5. READING AND WRITING. Writing has become an escape and so is reading. We all wanna escape our reality and what better than this. It truly makes me happy. I feel better after writing stuff down.
