If I keep hearing AA's refer to The Winchesters as a prequel, I'm going to commit atrocities. It was an AU, not a prequel. The last episode proved that. A spinoff, nothing more. And it took place after the events of the original series finale. Also that wasn't the John and Mary we know, it wasn't them period. It was a completely different universe.

Though I suppose I can't blame AA's completely given the way the show was marketed and promoted. But then again they did see the last episode and know by now it was an AU and that Dean is still dead, so they don't get a pass. Atrocities, I tell you. I will commit them.

That word belongs right up there with mothership. This is the legacy that TW gave us that makes me want to do the equivalent of scratching my nails across a blackboard every time I hear one of those words.

LOL! I also call it a prequel because that's what it was marketed as (and likely what they originally thought it was going to be but had to turn it into something else halfway through! Also, I don't want to have to change out all my tags.

But you're correct, in the end, it wasn't a prequel, it was an AU/Sequel.

(I've also seen mothership used to describe other franchise originals and I'm okay with banning that word across the board unless you're actually referring to an older ship that's spawned baby ships.)

so when i was to sing in the semi-final i got on stage and said i refused to sing and then walked off, hoping they would allow me to change back to my original song and that i wouldn't be disqualified.

the rest of the dream i tried to desperately figure out why i wasn't allowed to perform my song and i woke up feeling genuinely upset

that article going around abt firefox's new ad program is annoying bc it's phrased as though "mozilla has finally TURNED on its people and is SELLING YOU OUT for cold hard cash!!" when. that's not what's happening. it is specifically being implemented to discourage tracking behavior, and literally all the data they are giving to advertisers is aggregate and anonymized, which is like, the opposite of what that post wants you to worry about, lol
