What do you think if someone knocks on the door of Cat, Laila, and Jean's new apartment, and Jeremy opens it, very surprised because it's late, and Cody stands there looking gloomy?

And then Cody fakes a smile and says,

"Hi, Captain. Sorry to interrupt. Hey… is Jean in?" Jean, of course, comes out from behind Jeremy, and the two look into each other's eyes without much communication. "Maybe you were right," Cody says.

No one understands, but Jean says,

"We were going to have dinner. We have food for more people. Come on," and Jean invites Cody in.

Jeremy, Cat, and Laila are very happy that Cody came there, although they don't understand what's going on. Whatever it is, only Jean seems to know, and Cody only came there to be with Jean.

When they finish dinner, Jean and Cody go out onto the porch and talk for a long time. Jean says Cody is staying over. They still don't know what's going on, but Jeremy can't take his eyes off this Jean who comforts Cody and has become someone else's confidant.

Jeremy can't stop smiling in admiration.

The older I get the more I realise there is just nothing to Jean and Logan as a couple, he's just the cool bad boy alternative to her straight laced boyfriend, and no writer has ever bothered to develop them beyond that. Logan really has more of a dynamic with Scott than he ever had with Jean. When written well, Scott and Jean feel like genuine partners with neither character overshadowing the other, but when she's paired with Logan, Jean seems to just become the love interest or worse a prize for Logan to win for being a good person, the relationship always reduces her.

Who taught Kevin and Riko to shave?

It wasn't Tetsuji for sure, why would he take the time off his busy coaching schedule for something like that.

Was it an upperclassman? Was it part of PR training? Entire lessons dedicated on how to groom oneself, to be presentable, to be camera ready?

Were they punished for nicks until they learned how to efficiently use a razor?

Or else were they brought to a barber/had a barber come in before any trip that would put them in front of a camera, in front of fans, and no one ever bothered knowing whether they had the skill to do it by themselves?

And then, when Jean came, who taught him? Was it Kevin, in secret, after whatever torture Riko had deemed appropriate? Was he even expected to hold a certain standard of grooming, or did they "encourage" him to keep his beard unkept, as it at least made him appear older?

Wait a minute. Kanye West performed in Korea and had a party for his new album and it was attended by New Jeans, CL (because of course she'd go) and Aespa's Winter and Giselle. I read that B.I (Hanbin) and Somi also went but that's to be expected because this is straight up YG trash. Have people forgotten who this man is. Or do I have to work harder on my "separate the art from the artist" thing again. Ugh.

this version of the fable "the lion and the gnat" in la fontaine's fables is the only version i've found that ends without the gnat getting caught in a spider web at the end; the lion is defeated and the gnat gets to fly off victorious. and that completely changes the moral! whereas with that ending it's a lesson about hubris, this version allows the gnat to humiliate the big powerful "king of the jungle" and prove that even creatures regarded as insignificant can be brave and powerful too. and that you as the little guy should celebrate yourself for pissing off people in higher positions of authority who treat you poorly. :)
