honestly like the main factor was that when i was a teen i did not give a shit about school and all of my time was spent reading for leisure, and some of that reading (/listening to music) was in foreign languages lmao my native is portuguese and all the other languages i speak apart from english are also latin based so it was always a matter of just immersing myself in the languages and hoping for the best 😭 i also like naturally gravitate towards grammar n shit i genuinely like studying it so. it was always very low effort tbqh i honestly just like gradually added them into my life and went at whatever rhythm felt right

Hey, so I found your Jiara fic yesterday, and absolutely loved it!! I read the entire thing in one sitting, it was exactly what I needed for that afternoon!! Loved the characterisation (it felt true to the characters), the angst, the way you wrote their chemistry, the way I could feel their chemistry. It was perfect!!!!!

No way, I'm your first and only polish mutual?! I think I have just 2 or 3 mutuals who are also from Poland, but I'm not sure anymore. Most of my mutuals are also from America, so my dash is incredibly boring sometimes. So it's always nice to meet someone here who's also from Poland!

Okay so here's the thing: I have a platonic crush on this guy in my class (meaning I just wanna be besties), and like we talk sometimes, but not as much as I'd like to and I'm really awkward and have no idea how to initiate conversations with him and it's really bugging me rn.

I kinda had to let this simmer a bit because I had to think over some stuff.

Regardless of whether it’s a platonic or a romantic relationship, there has to be some sort of chemistry between the two of you. It’s still difficult maintaining a relationship even if it’s “only” platonic. Gaining a solid circle of friends (IRL) is equally as difficult as jumping into a romantic relationship, I don’t get why people pretend those are two separate stages in separate levels.

You feel like you behave awkwardly, but does he make you feel that way or is it your own nervousness? Does he act in a particular way (frowning, slightly moving away from you, etc) that shows he’s uncomfortable? If not, you’re fine, I’d say.

Since you interact with him in class, you already have some common ground to start off conversations. I know that, I’m currently in the middle of meeting new people due to my master’s program 😄

What I’d do in your situation, would be branching off from school related topics into interests and relations. School is a good start for a conversation but it can get fairly redundant and boring. Branch it off by asking him to what sort of music he listens to. Is he a gamer? Is he an anime nerd? Are there any movies or tv shows that might interest the both of you?

Pop culture and media is an easy way of getting behind someone and then you can try to find out if your value system is the same (do you believe in certain rights, what is unjustly to do, which great problems are each of you facing that the other might help to resolve?).

This is just what I would do (as I’m currently doing so and I’ve met a ton of great people so far!!)

And of course it all depends on how close you already are and how comfortable the two of you are with each other ☺️

How do you feel about the fact that the PJO and Bridgerton s3 will probably come out at around the same time?

(I am basing this solely on the fact that they're both in the early stages of filming - pjo a little earlier actually, but I assume the production might take them a little longer cause it's the 1st season)
