Ok look so on the au brewing in my head, Kanade is a young prince, but only kind of.

Kanade was born as a girl, and due to complications, her mom couldn't have another child, and wanting their heir to rule without having to be forcefully married, her parents decided to dress Kanade as a boy, act as if he is the legit prince. Only a few of the castle workers, mainly the older ones that helped during the birth know the truth, but they all love the Yoisaki family, so they don't feel any urge to tell.

deranged fantasy au time!

after a strenuous battle, knightkasa and sorcerer rui *somehow lose their memories and get displaced in another kingdom. with nothing but their first names, fuzzy memories, and a few new friends, the two are quick to accept their place in the world as a mystery.

but just because they forgot the past doesn't mean the past forgot them....

Kanade is the weak sheltered prince who has never left the palace, young and untouched by the evils of the world, unaware of the darkness outside of the palace walls. She’s heard stories and fables of far off lands, and yearns to see things from around the world. She is given a music box by the Queen from a far far away land before her passing, a place the queen had once loved and dreamed of taking kanade one day if it were not for her weak constitution. However, one day, one of her dear knights, mafuyu, is tasked to join the search for the lost prince of a neighboring kingdom, toya. Kanade asks her knight that if she ends up in the far away land her mother spoke of, to return with stories of what it’s like and to please enjoy it for her, even if she’s on a mission. Mafuyu agrees, anything for her prince. Mafuyu does end up in this place— however, it is not the same as it once was, tainted by dark magic and almost completely unrecognizable. While there, mafuyu finds herself becoming corrupted by the magic of the land, and soon finds the lost prince— but by now, she is too far gone to return him. Mafuyu is gone for a very long time, and kanade grows sad. Her other knight, ichika, becomes worried, and asks permission to go out in search of mafuyu. It is granted, and ichika joins the team of akito, Mizuki, and tsukasa, in search of the lost prince and tsukasas sister, saki. However, along the way, ichika finds herself slowly falling victim to the magic as well…
