the way shirley jackson wrote women’s inner lives so accurately that it’s still relatable and thus terrifying today what a legend

barb literally died with a bloody hand... have we considered her for kas the bloody handed. a reanimated corpse came back wrong even though she has been a presence in the narrative this whole time. here this time to haunt nancy physically, to have vecna twist her words into saying this is what you did to me

I love how you display creepy stuff. With uncanny expressions, body horror, and even setting. The ship the survivors on must be so chilly and old, you could hear footsteps from one end of the ship and night terrors of your neighbor. Properly delightful.
thank u I try very hard! I think horror is one of those things that are insanely hard to nail so I'm super duper glad

Sometimes I feel that Barnaby and Wally have this friendship like big bro/Lil bro, and Howdy being Barnabys bf has to put up with a lot of Wallys shenanigans for Barnaby (doesn't mind cause he also adores Wally I'm a big bro way)
i view them (as a trio) Similarly! though a little to the Left cause i don't view Barnaby & Wally's relationship as big/lil bro. rn to me they're very close friends - borderline queerplatonic! like... Wally is Barnaby's special little guy, yk?
so in my mind, in this trio, Wally's not exactly a. uh. third wheel to Barnaby/Howdy i suppose? oh this is difficult to translate into words - he's part of the relationship without being Part of it if that makes any sense? like of course he's gonna be With them a lot. Barnaby's not gonna be like "ok go do something else so i can make doe eyes at Howdy". that's his Little Buddy. they're gonna Include him as much as possible, i'd imagine. and i doubt Wally would mind being around while they flirt chat. he'd probably love being Barnaby's "wingman"

I want season 3 to be two separate plots, one is the crew having their action adventure, and the other is just stede and ed figuring out how to run the inn sitcom style (bc jenkins said they would be horrible at it). The plots are completely unrelated until the very end when the bad guy ends up staying at the inn and the crew tracks him down and they all work together to take out the bad guy

Did a second run of Shadows over Loathing because I wanted to do an evil run. I had far too much fun with this guy and I am perhaps even more attached to him than Cecil because sometimes you need a guy who loves being fucked up.
He's not even evil, really, because that would imply he cares about what he's doing.
Bonus picture that's a vital contribution to their dynamic:

I've mentioned before that S.hi Q.ingxuan has codependent tendencies and usually said so in a light-hearted "haha yeah watch out she'll latch onto your muse like a leech" manner but it really is a major problem that sets her up for nothing but failure.
Everything she does, from the way she dresses to the way she handles her responsibilities, cries "look at me, look at me!" Some of it has to do with vanity and having been spoiled by her ge's attention, yes; she's pretty, she's kind, she's the lady wind master, so why shouldn't she be admired and adored? A good majority of it is just naturally how she is; even when keeping face, she's never once thought to hide the heart she so openly wears on her sleeve. If it were just those two facets of her personality, it wouldn't be so debilitating. But it's not. She does not know how to exist without being seen. It's not a lack of confidence in who she is as a person (she knows who she is- she thinks she knows -and she's so very confident in who she believes herself to be). But that confidence has a foundation based in there always being a hand to hold, always a back to hide behind, always a pair of arms to catch her when she falls, and if there's just one thing she knows how to do it's to be a persistent presence. Everyone needs someone else around, so it all works out quite nicely, doesn't it? She has no reason to believe otherwise.
