The sculptor in my neighborhood... I live in a small neighborhood within a larger village... there are a half dozen buildings in the neighborhood, with four homes attached in each building... they're condominiums, meaning we own the inside and the Home Owners Association (HOA) owns the outside and the surrounding land... I like the arrangement because I don't have to worry about my roof, mow grass or trim bushes. We all have one single car garage per home, and Rich, who lives down the street, uses his as an art studio where he sculpts wood into various shapes. Here he is working on a platform that will hold a sundial when completed. He was kind enough to let me photograph him at work to create a portrait.

confession time as someone from Lousiana and has never moved I have been scared to watch to watch the Disney version of the princess and the frog because I'm afraid they gave it the typical cajun/creol storotype (you know dumb people who live in the swamp)

One last time
Yep, the Holiday Grab Bag event officially started today, but a new month also brings a new drabble prompt--for the last time.
That's right, December brings Developing Drabbles to a close. We've had a lot of fun with it over the past year and a half-ish, and we certainly hope you have, too, whether as a writer, reader, or both.
So, for the final time, we're asking for a drabble or a double-drabble-- exactly 100 words OR exactly 200 words--the month for the prompt of Present. We're really looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
