Musicals are time loops. Every night, the same thing happens except for a few minor differences. It always ends the same. If you want the characters to do something different or to make better choices, too bad. The actors are bound by the script and the score. The only way for the time loop to end is for the show to close. But you (the audience) don't want the show to close, nor do the actors who would like to be employed. It's a lose/lose situation. For the actors, audience, technicians, and for the characters, who are forever stuck in the same stretch of time.

Meg March: Wicked

• okay she’s a little basic but she still has good taste

• relates to Glinda wanting to do good but also stick to the status quo and be ~pOpuLaR~ • she’s canonically the best singer in the family so you KNOW she belts out defying gravity with a broom in her hand at the top of the stairs when they all do chores

Jo March: Waitress

• the female protagonist ends up happily single and pursuing her dream and jo is all about that shit

• all the pie references remind her of Hannah

• idk Jo just reads as a Sara Bareilles girlie to me

Beth March: Amélie

• beth sees a story about a shy imaginative dreamer who has to learn to overcome her fear of people and she just goes fERAL

• she’s CONSTANTLY playing times are hard for dreamers on her piano

• for the record she strongly prefers the uk tour recording even though she loves phillipa soo

Amy March: Legally Blonde

Romano (belgian malinois, this dog breed is giving me Italian vibe idk, I have Romano for like...5 years(?), one of my first oc's) - inspired by Santino

Amando (jaguar) - inspired by Chidi

They had a thing but it's kinda toxic bc Amando just used Romano (still wip tho)

But they're WIP (just like my other oc's lmao)

Basically a bodyguard to another wealthy family, Amando felt confident enough to fuck with a son of another wealthy but Italian family, Romano (the lore is still wip bruh AAHH)

I was like "Ooh hot big Spanish guy gives me jaguar vibes...new oc." And then "Oooh Romano my Italian boy~ I have a new toxic boyfriend for you :D"
