"You'll be alright", Elphaba said. <...> She put her face against Glinda's and kissed her. "Hold out, if you can", she murmured, and kissed her again. "Hold out, my sweet."
I'm a little late but happy 20th anniversary to Wicked on Broadway 🩷💚
(just to clarify: yes this quote is from the novel, no they're not sisters, have never been sisters, I wish people bothered to google before commenting)

I really need to write a fic where Glinda sees Dorothy and goes "yup. You're my child now." And then after a torturing slowburn her and the wicked witch get together so Dorothy has aunt Em and Uncle Henry at home, and whenever she goes to Oz she has her witch lesbian moms waiting for her.

Wicked is celebrating it's 20th this year 🎉 🎉🎉 It was my first fav musical ever and first fav story where the "villain" is the protagonist.

I have just had to see someone unironically say “maturing is realising glinda is the real villain” so media literacy is officially dead to me tbqh
how can you miss the point of a character that fucking badly?

We always have to remember that Glinda is not city wealthy, she’s country wealthy. She does not know what an apartment building looks like and probably lives on the Oz equivalent of a Texan Ranch Megamansion. And likely owns a farm and a lakehouse.
I just know she was having the worst time of her life trying to live in the Emerald City post Defying Gravity. She may have had some rose-tinted (or emerald-tinted ha) glasses when she first came but this girl went from Madison, Georgia to NYC. She was Not having a good time.
(Like she’s canonically a country girl in the books but I’m talking musical here)
