Hello everybody for day 8 of A Very Dolly Christmas Countdown 2024 we have the lovely Nessarose admiring my Wicked advent calendar which was a gift from my parents. I am thoroughly enjoying it as is Nessarose who is admiring the Emerald City notebooks she received. As a disabled Wicked fan myself I am delighted that Marissa Bode played Nessarose it has been far too long a wait for Nessarose to be played by a disabled actress Image Description. a photo of a brown haired doll wearing a cream and red dress silver slippers using a steampunk wheelchair . She is holding a green notebook with an illustration of the Emerald City on it along with text reading Emerald City. The background is a colourful Wicked advent calendar consisting of paper pockets containing prizes. There is a red and gold carpet on the floor.

What happened to the baby in the manger? Part 1/2
An Advent story
Advent, (Latin adventus, “coming”) in the Christian church calendar, is the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas and of preparation for the Second Coming of Christ. In Western churches, Advent begins on the Sunday nearest to November 30 and then runs for a total of 4 full weeks of Sundays. In 2024 advent starts a four-week observation beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, which began on December 1 this year and will finish on Sunday the 24th of December.
The Advent Season is all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ's birth in the world as it is today. It is a time for faith communities and families to remember, through prayer, reflections, special music, and charitable deeds what the true meaning of Jesus' birth is.
At this time of year many people think of the baby in the manger, and it is good to reflect on the beautiful story of the nativity.
However, Jesus Christ did not remain a baby but became the mighty King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Saviour of the world, and the Bridegroom of his church.
So often we can focus in on the wonderful meekness and humility of Jesus (the suffering servant of Isaiah 53; the crucified Messiah) and yet neglect His power and majesty as the mighty conquering King!
Through the blood of the cross He defeated him who had the power over death and having risen entered the holy of holies and presented once and for all His holy sinless blood on the mercy seat as a propitiation (turned away God's wrath) for the sin of man.
We are now going to consider Jesus Christ as the conquering hero.
Psalm 45 is a didactic psalm i.e. Maschil is a psalm that teaches us (about the power and majesty of God). This is a delightful psalm bursting with royalty and nobility, power, and majesty. This is about the Messiah. The first part of the psalm is about Jesus the conquering hero (vv.3-6) and the second part about Jesus the Bridegroom (vv.9-14) follows in Part 2
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth, meekness, and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach these terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Comments
v.3 Get ready for battle with the sword of the spirit, for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. In the wilderness Jesus defeated Satan with the word of God and at the end of time He will destroy His enemies with the breath of His mouth. O most mighty, there never was anyone else who was able or worthy to this title, the one who defeated Satan, death, and hell by His death on the cruel cross and now has the keys of death and hell. O most mighty Jesus Christ. The Lamb of God is the only one worthy to open the scroll in the book of revelation.
v.4 When Jesus preached the Gospel He rode on the Word of Truth and meekness and righteousness not only proclaiming these but living them out before the very eyes of men. The glorious eternal Gospel was His chariot to bring salvation to fallen man. The Gospel prospered, turning certain peoples’ worlds the right way up! Jesus at the right hand of God brings salvation to the humble but a terrible and everlasting condemnation to the unrepentant wicked. There is no hiding place from the Son of God.
v.5 His words are arrows and never miss the mark! No one can stand against Him and survive. We are also His arrows in His quiver for he fires us out at the lost so that as we preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by His spirit, he pierces their hearts with conviction of sin of righteousness and judgement! Some enemies fall convicted leading to salvation others refusing to repent to eternal condemnation. We were once His enemies but now are of His royal household!
v.6 This most mighty warrior is none other than God Himself, God the Son, Jesus Christ, the eternal word made flesh, He who was in the beginning was the eternal Word and was with God and was God. It is Him who has an eternal throne not like any earthly king but a divine and everlasting Kingship. Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Praise his holy name. he who was once a babe in a manger shall rule the nations with a rod of iron.
His rule, His sceptre is the only right and lawful rule that is fitting to stand for eternity.
Soon He is coming for his bride. Even so come Lord Jesus. Amen
Conclusion
That same baby in the manger is now the risen Lord, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.
Therefore, the Christmas story is so very wonderful. Amen.

Pin/keychain/similar collectors! reblog to show off and talk about your collection!
Tumblr media
I try to get ones from places/events I go to, like the baseball game ones, the Dear Evan Hanson and Wicked ones, as well as the Melanie Martinez ones I got when I saw her live (although due to recent things resurfacing I’m taking a step back from her.
I (for the most part) try to get my pins through official sites/stores to avoid buying stolen designs. I do have a few that I’m not 100% sure of (a couple of the Care Bears pins were purchased for me on SHEIN, the eevee pin was purchased through temu, the “pawty party” pin was in a random bowl of $1 pins at a camp site, the asexual fursona pin was purchased at pride from someone selling a bunch of different pins so I’m not sure if they were from their personal collection or fakes, and the pride pins in the bottom left were from a pride pin advent calendar my mom got me a few years back from Amazon and are 100% stolen :,))
If you have any questions about my collection such as where I got things I’ll try my best to reply and give a link if one is still available!

Spring has finally sprung in these parts with the vernal equinox transpiring at 11:06pm on Tuesday, as the Earth’s upright tilt bequeathed us with a virtually identical length of day and night. From this point on, we can expect to bask in an extra three minutes of glorious sunlight per day here in the northern hemisphere. As we burst forth from our metaphorical hibernation into the warmth of the accelerating sunshine, the spring season is welcomed as a time of renewal, rebirth and fresh beginnings. Thanks to this year’s mild winter, a springtime rejuvenation is already underway at our bustling farmstalls with several early arrivals like tender pea shoots, frilly lettuce and leafy bok choy trickling onto the scene. Coinciding with the advent of spring is a confluence of significant cultural and religious holidays that are each associated with traditional meals, reflecting their distinct geographic affiliations and historical foodways. Fortunately, your local Down to Earth farmers market remains well-stocked with plenty of trusty winter stalwarts, as well as some early season newcomers, for you to incorporate in your springtime feasts and celebratory dishes both this weekend and next. Purim Seudah The festival of Purim will take place from sundown this Saturday through sundown on Sunday. Purim is a joyous, fun and lively holiday commemorating Queen Esther’s saving of the Jewish people of ancient Persia by preventing their annihilation at the hands of Haman, King Ahasuerus’ wicked prime minister. Purim is typically observed by readings of the biblical book of Esther (Megillah), making charitable donations, sharing gifts of food with friends, and partaking in a special festive seudah banquet with loved ones. It’s customary to serve foods at the Purim seudah that are inspired by symbolic links to the Megillah. Queen Esther is said to have eaten a vegetarian diet in order to keep kosher while living in her husband King Ahasuerus’s palace. Thus, Purim menus worldwide typically feature an array of beans, seeds, legumes, nuts and dried fruits. Feed directly into this ancient tradition with a generous platter of crudité featuring ready-cut celery, carrots, radishes and other crunchy veggies from 4E Green Farm to dip in a tub of Taiim Shack Mobile’s seasonally flavored, creatively crafted hummus. Like Queen Esther, hummus hails from the Middle East where it’s traditionally made by blending chickpeas with tahini, lemon juice and garlic. Or how about a dish of pre-seasoned, ready-to-cook lentils from The Lentil Co. who've taken the work out of preparing lentils so you can enjoy a relaxed and delicious seudah with your family.  Iftar Ideas Ramadan occurs during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar when it’s believed the first verses of the Holy Book of Quran were sent down from heaven and revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. This holiest of month for Muslims began on March 12th this year and is a time for fasting, introspection, prayer, and performing acts of charity and kindness.   Ramadan fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and requires abstaining from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. Iftar is the fast-breaking evening meal that customarily commences with a bite of a fresh or dry date then moves onto a feast of traditional foods. This simple and tasty Chicken Shawarma recipe makes a fortifying iftar given its combination of nutritious and satiating ingredients that are easily sourced from the farmers market during the seasonal transition. Ingredients
2 tablespoons garlic paste (Great Joy Family Farm garlic blended in a food processor with olive oil or water)
¾ cup extra virgin olive oil, divided
2 teaspoons kosher salt
Spices (1 tablespoon each of turmeric, cinnamon, freshly ground black pepper, cumin, smoked spicy paprika)
1½ tablespoons lemon juice
2½ pounds Roaming Acres or Yellow Bell Farm boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
1 large Jersey Farm Produce white onion, thinly sliced
Pita bread from Taiim Shack Mobile and/or 4E Green Farm bibb lettuce
4E Green Farm red cabbage, sliced
Torn cilantro, parsley and mint from Jersey Farm Produce
Harissa sauce
Easter Feasts Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus on the third day after his Crucifixion. After attending a church service, Easter Sunday is traditionally celebrated over a large meal featuring meat, potatoes, vegetable side dishes and dinner rolls.   In preparation for next week’s Easter extravaganza, Down to Earth meat vendors will bring holiday ham, pastured chicken and spring lamb; the farmstalls will have plenty of root veggies and fresh greens; and our chocolate and baked goods vendors will make specialty items such as decorated holiday-themed cookies. To wrap things up as we warmly embrace the outset of spring, there’s no shortage of occasions and reasons to head to your farmers market this weekend. We’ll have a diverse abundance of seasonally appropriate items for you to bring to the table at whatever event or holiday it is that you may be celebrating. We look forward to seeing you at the market!

Also ROTTEN OT4 because they're baby
This took me far too long to actually post and I didn’t have the energy for all of the questions but I tried to make the ones did answer detailed, anywaaaay it’s finally here, sorry @hersilentlanguage
Who would be the big spoon/little spoon?
Jay is always the big spoon, he loves to hold all of his partners and stretch his arms to wrap around all three of them. With everyone it's different. Carlos loves to be spooned by Jay and easily relaxes into his touch. Evie doesn't spoon with Jay, she curls into his side and rests her head on his chest as he hums her to sleep.
Mal hates to admit that she feels comfort with their arms around her, she's always going into big spoon mode with Carlos and most times with Evie (because she likes to nuzzle into her neck). Jay and Evie have a system of just casually draping their arms around Mal so she relaxes enough to be gently coaxed into a spooning position and after her initial grumbling she sinks into the embrace.
Carlos and Evie fluctuate with one another, trading between being a big or a little spoon. Cuddling for them is like second nature, their fingers always intertwined and their legs tangled together. They're always the first to fall asleep so they're usually spooning before Mal and Jay are even ready for bed.
Who would wake up first?
Jay, Evie, Carlos and then Mal.
Jay gets up for a run and whilst he's grabbing his gear Evie is padding towards the bathroom. He swoops down to kiss her goodbye as Evie starts her morning routine. The other two are dead to the world for at least another two hours. Carlos is such a snuggler, he clings like a koala and Mal is still trying to protect them all in her sleep so she's just wrapping her arms around Carlos as he snuggles into her. Getting them up takes a lot of coaxing and bribing, chocolate chip pancakes are always a good way to get them to rise. Carlos is grumpy but can be coaxed with promises of sweet treats.
Mal does not and will not wake up without some serious prodding. One morning Jay decided to pour a bucket of cold water over Mal to get her awake. Which resulted in Evie and Carlos having to sit on top of Mal to stop her from transforming into a dragon and eating Jay alive. Evie is the one to wake Mal up most mornings.
Who gets more excited for events e.g.. Birthdays, Christmas?
Evie and Carlos! But both for different reasons. Evie love to play hostess and spend weeks planning the perfect event, from the decorations to the new outfits she designs specifically. Carlos gets excited for Christmas because Evie buys Advent Calendars and the other three then have to hide Carlos’s so he doesn’t eat all of the chocolate on day 1. Birthdays mean lots of cake which means a happy Carlos.
Jay loves being in charge of the music for events, Evie is off organizing the decorations and getting Mal to fly up to the ceiling to hang the streamers (because yes I headcanon that Mal can partially transform and will just become part dragon around their house) and Jay is sorting out the playlist and setting up all of the speakers. Jay and Evie get excited because they get to dance with one another and it always makes Mal and Carlos drool over how incredible they look together.
Carlos and Mal go food shopping for the events, which is honestly just an excuse for Carlos to sit in the shopping cart as Mal races them down the aisles firing whatever nonsense they want into the cart. They make so many tiktoks and Evie has had to write so many apologetic emails to angry store managers.
None of them are super into Christmas. They like it but it also brings up some hard memories and their Christmas celebrations are smaller and spent with cozy nights eating marshmallows by the fireplace. Mal isn’t into birthdays or Christmas, but she always get excited for Halloween because it’s the month of the Marlos Prank-a-thon. No AK is safe and they never run out of ideas.
Who initiates sexy times the most?
Horndogs. Aka Mal and Jay. They both have so much energy and they both just demand attention. Evie and Carlos's homework is constantly tossed on the floor in favour of making out. It's not that Carlos and Evie aren't totally down, because they definitely are, they're both just a little more focused and Evie always has new projects. Jay finds a compromise with offering to be Evie's model, Evie can never resist running her hands over Jay's arms.
Who is more dominant?
It depends on the situation, Mal likes to think it's her and Jay will always claim it's him. They all have their dominant moments and it's different for all of them. For Mal and Jay it's a lot harder to let someone else take the reigns. Carlos doesn't often step into a more dominant role, but when he does he'll have their legs trembling as he looks up at them with a wicked glint in his eye. Evie loves to surprise her partners by coming out of the bathroom in an Evie blue corset and pushing Jay's chest until he falls dramatically on the bed. She often wakes Mal up with teasing touches.
Who gives nose/forehead kisses?
Everyone but Mal 😂
Evie does it the most, she's so naturally affectionate and she loves to kiss their cheeks, their nose, the little spot on Carlos's collarbone. Any spot she can reach she'll kiss it. Mal and Carlos pretend they hate it and will complain when Evie peppers their face with kisses, but they're also shoving one another out of the way to get her affection. Evie likes to tease them by being coy and pretending to move away because she knows they love the way she'll caress their cheek and be so soft with them. Jay relishes the attention and will always tug Evie back into his arms for another kiss.
Jay loves to kiss Evie's hand, it never fails to make her giggle which only makes Jay want to do it more. Jay gives Carlos forehead kisses a lot, and ruffles his hand in Carlos's hair. Jay is a very affectionate person and he responds very well to soft kisses and lingering touches. He's known Mal the longest, so he has little tricks to let him swoop in and kiss the top of her head and practically parkour away whilst Mal blushes. He massages her temples and runs his thumb over the crinkle in her nose when she's stressed.
Mal is the most reserved about these types of displays of affection, she'll happily make out with Carlos against a locker but having Evie kiss her nose in public is too much. However, she likes to be softer with them in private. She presses kisses to the side of Carlos's head whilst he works, runs her hand over Evie's back and gently massages her shoulders and will just come to sit in Jay's lap and resume her reading. Mal is actually very affectionate, she's just very particular over how she is in public.
Carlos likes to kiss their cheeks and lean on his tiptoes to kiss Jay’s cheek. Carlos and Evie are constantly kissing one another’s cheeks as they say hello or goodbye, as a way of saying thank you. Carlos blushes when Evie kisses his face, especially his nose because being on the receiving end of such affection is still something he’s adjusting to. With Mal, Carlos likes to rest his hand on her shoulder or press a kiss to the crook of her neck. He likes to have it so his fingers brush against Mal’s, not intertwined like with Evie or constantly touching like with Jay, Carlos gives Mal lingering touches and ones that are so soft and subtle someone else might miss them, Mal never does.

It’s 2019 and it’s about time that the seminal R.L. Stine’s teen horror series, Fear Street, received the proper respect that it rightly deserves in the horror community. Especially when it comes to the teen horror sub-genre.
Beginning in June 1989 with The New Girl, Fear Street became a hot commodity among spook starved teens like myself. The books were like currency in the school hallways, joining the ranks of teen serials like Sweet Valley High, Christopher Pike novels, The Baby-Sitters Club, to name a few. So it bewilders me when a die-hard, horror fan says they have never heard of them. Or when a reputable horror site labels the series as “lesser known” while covering the upcoming Fear Street trilogy of films, because it seems like 90s horror fans who grew up on The Craft and Scream would’ve inhaled R.L. Stine’s anthology of killer boyfriends, wicked stepsisters, and sexy teen vampires just as much they would a Stephen King novel or Stine’s other gift to horrordom, Goosebumps. In fact, it’s almost impossible to not know of, or be familiar with, Fear Street if one knew of/read L.J. Smith’s The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle series (yes they were published in the 90s, a decade before each respective TV series premiered), or even owned copies of Scholastic’s Point Horror novels, some that Stine himself wrote (most notably The Baby-Sitter and Halloween Night series of books). Fear Street is just as, if not more than, influential as the teen series I listed, along with Stine’s championed Goosebumps franchise.
For those (again, surprisingly) not in the know, Fear Street takes place in Shadyside, Ohio, and around the eponymous street named after the cursed Fier Family, who later changed the spelling of their last name to “Fear” in order to escape said bad juju. It didn’t work obviously, because the teen denizens are still paying for the sins of the Fears through various means, while residing on a street that seems to go on forever with frequent vacancies along the way. Fear Street contains a cemetery, a lake, an island in the middle of said lake, and woods surrounding the lake. Also there’s the Fear Family house that serves as the eyesore of the street, having been burned decades ago, but barely remodeled. While most of the stories took place in or around Fear Street, the supernatural and chilling events also affected many denizens from every corner of Shadyside’s city limits. In other words, Fear Street was basically the town’s Elm Street to the point even Freddy Krueger himself would be amazed.
From the devious antics of possessed cheerleaders and sports cars to even cliched haunted houses and carnivals, the horrors of Fear Street were akin to the slashers/horror films that laced the multiplexes in the 80s. The various Fear Street protagonists would’ve easily have fit in with the victims of Friday the 13th or A Nightmare on Elm Street as they fit the many stereotypes that permeate each entry of those beloved 80s horror classics. The series even have their own cache of final girls with the likes of Corky Corcoran (The Fear Street Cheerleaders saga), Reva Dalby (Silent Night trilogy), and Kody Fraiser (99 Fear Street: The House of Evil) being memorable heroines along the likes of Nancy Thompson, Laurie Strode, or Sidney Prescott. Each girl came back to fight their respective supernatural nemesis in more than one entry, Corky being the most battle-ridden with four titles under her belt.
So with a cache of final girls, an even higher body count that rises with each novel, and supernatural adversaries who would easily get Freddy or Jason’s stamp of approval, why isn’t Fear Street championed within the horror community alongside Stine’s other popular brainchild Goosebumps? Maybe Shadyside’s high (and highly bloody) body count has a lot to do with it. The many deaths in Fear Street were numerous, and gruesome. Broken necks. Melting faces. Torn limbs. Impaled abdomens. The teens of Shadyside met their maker in ways that would be “unbecoming” of a Goosebumps tale, which would take a more tongue-in-cheek, yet perfectly ‘safe,” approach at the expense of the juvenile protagonists. Fear Street showed no mercy to its victims. Dead was dead, and there was nothing funny about it.
Goosebumps was basically “kid-friendly” in not only the stories, but merchandise as well. While Fear Street also had calendars, bookmarks, posters, and such to promote the series outside of the books, what it didn’t have was a television series to catapult it into the global atmosphere. I personally feel that if Fear Street had its own TV series or movie adaptation during the mid 90s, it would have matched Goosebumps‘ success, if not come close to it. What the Goosebumps TV series did was become a gateway for plenty of horror fans to the joys of reading, especially kids who found the pastime hella boring. Some would say Goosebumps also probably led them into Scholastic’s other top character, Harry Potter, making them lifelong readers in the process.
Fear Street also led reluctant teens to read as well, mainly due to their eye-catching covers. Even though Goosebumps had a TV series to help market its books, it’s still hard to grasp that a Fear Street book cover didn’t grasp a budding horror fan’s eye when entering a bookstore or the book section of a department store. These covers, drawn by Bill Schmidt, are horror gold. My fave cover is for Fear Street Cheerleaders: The First Evil, featuring a possessed, Shadyside High Cheerleader holding a pom-pom with a skeleton peeking through it. From the bloody fonts to the glassy-white eyes on the cheerleader, The First Evil is the best damn Fear Street cover of all time, because 1) you can easily see this cover as the poster for an obscure 80s horror movie sitting on the horror shelf of an old video store, and 2) is the best indicator of what Fear Street had to offer. The cover is simply iconic, worthy of not only a t-shirt I’m willing to shell money for. It’s a shame that no one has thought to capitalize off of those, but I digress.
2020 will bring us not one, not two, but three damn highly overdue Fear Street movies, which will hopefully pump new (and renewed) interest into the franchise. To say that I’m beyond ecstatic is an understatement, because its about time that Fear Street gets its due for staying in the game while other teen series from its era have fallen off.  In 2005, it returned briefly for another three part miniseries titled Fear Street Nights that came and went without much fanfare. Then in 2014, Stine returned with a slew of new Fear Street titles that are longer and thicker than their predecessors’ mass paperback size. The latest books are released under the moniker “Return to Fear Street” that feature retro style cover art, mimicking the creased and well worn covers possibly found in garage sales and used book stores across the world. With the three Fear Street movies (all set in different time periods, with the most recent being 1994) dropping next year, here’s hoping the franchise will pool over into TV and other mediums that it couldn’t break into during the 90s.
Fear Street isn’t some dated fad that’s trying to claw its way back into the horror community’s conscious. It never truly went away, and fans, like myself, have never truly left its nightmare inducing neighborhood. It inspired similar series (Nightmare Hall, Spooksville, Phantom Valley, to name a few), made R. L. Stine a household name before the advent of Goosebumps, and shows no sign of ever being buried. So let’s not act like Fear Street and the denizens of Shadyside haven’t been in the game for a minute now.
Anyone else have any favorite Fear Street stories? Are you thrilled for the new movies dropping next year?
All pictures are courtesy of Simon & Shuster, Parachute Press, Harper Teen and HarperCollins Publishers.
It’s Time That We Put Some Respect On Fear Street’s Name… It's 2019 and it's about time that the seminal R.L. Stine's teen horror series, Fear Street…

What happened to the baby in the manger? Part 1/2
An Advent story
Today our topic is an Advent message: What happened to the baby in the manger?
Advent, (Latin adventus, “coming”) in the Christian church calendar, is the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas and of preparation for the Second Coming of Christ. In Western churches, Advent begins on the Sunday nearest to November 30 and then runs for a total of 4 full weeks of Sundays. In 2023 advent starts a four-week observation beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, which began on December 3 this year and will finish on Sunday the 24th of December.
The first part of the psalm is about Jesus the conquering hero (vv.3-6) and the second part about Jesus the Bridegroom (vv.9-14) see link below for the second part.
Therefore the Christmas story is so very wonderful. Amen.

What to expect if you’re taking on Joe Wicks’ 90-day body plan
Hordes of us are still looking for a healthy regime boost. As the booze-free battle is banished and the new year diet becomes a distant memory, there are lots of options for anyone looking to up their exercise and cut down on treats.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
What is it?
The 90 Day Plan is a three-month regime which gets you working out four to five times each and every week, while cutting back on lots of fats and carbs, and upping the veg intake. It’s not for the uncommitted. The exercise is tough and the meals take time and organisation, but it can instil some great habits, which can potentially last a lifetime.

👉🏼 www.thebodycoach.com (LINK IN BIO) 😊 . . “”I’m definitely one of those yo-yo dieters - trying everything, losing weight then putting it straight back on. Randomly I met @thebodycoach while away with work and he inspired me to get cracking with the 90 Day Plan - I’m so thankful to him and his team at the Bodycoach Headquarters as you've all changed my life so much. The plan is amazing, I’ve learned so much about food and exercise. The first HIIT session I literally nearly died haha, now I can go full on until the end - you just have to push through all the pain and remember the amazing feeling when you’re finished - "you never regret a workout” is so true. The food is great and it's proper normal eating, not a gimmicky diet - you learn to get organised and think ahead about what you need to fuel your body. I spend so much time abroad in hotels with work and found it really hard to eat when away, especially in America with their massive portions, but with the advice of the Bodycoach team I’ve learned to eat healthily even when hitting the breakfast buffet! The HIIT sessions are also great when you’re jet-lagged in a hotel room. I never thought I’d be excited about fitness and exercise but because of the 90 Day Plan I’ve learned how fun and motivating it can be and how well it makes you feel.”” 😊😊🔥🔥💪🏼💪🏼🙌🏻🙌🏻 . . Check out this incredible transformation from @markwells_fly on the 90 Day Plan 🙌🏻 You’ve absolutely smashed it Mark - looking fitter, stronger, healthier and leaner 🔥 Proud of you mate and so happy to read this testimonial and hear how good you’re feeling 😊 Keep on winning you hero 💪🏼 #90dayplan #fitness #health #thebodycoach #fitspo #inspiration

Cycle one

If you’re struggling to find the motivation to exercise, remind yourself how awesome you’ll feels afterwards and how much more energy it will give you 🙌🏻

Signing up is a brilliant way to focus your mind and commit to being healthier – whether you’re doing it to lose weight, tone up, be fitter or sculpt that six pack.
The plan is split into three sections – or ‘cycles’ – which helps prevent boredom, and each one is slightly different.
The first hurdle, once you begin cycle one, is ‘prepping like a boss’ – as Wicks puts it. If you’re busy and you don’t make the time to batch cook, you might struggle. You don’t have to have 21 Tupperware tubs labelled up for the next seven days, but when you do have time to cook, at least double the portion, so you’ve got a meal sorted for later in the week.
The recipes don’t actually take that long to cook and taste pretty amazing, but sometimes it all feels like a bit too much, so it helps to have some plates you prepped earlier.

Fitting in the workouts can also be tricky. Ideally, you’re looking to do five a week (four minimum) and depending on how much you’ve got going on in your life, this can be really tricky.
On the plus side, cycle one workouts are only 25 minutes long. For me, the only way to fit these in was to build it into my weekly routine, getting up (even) earlier. That way, you’ve smashed your workout at the beginning of the day and you can forget about it until tomorrow.
The Hiit workouts across these first 30 days are tough, so mustering the energy to do one when I get in from work in the evening just wasn’t an option for me.
Depending on your fitness levels, you might find these really hard work, but you will get better and stronger – and the pain only lasts 25 minutes!
The plan achieves different results for everyone, but at the end of cycle one, I’d lost half a stone and – more importantly – an inch and a half off my hips. My clothes felt much looser, I felt more comfortable and happier with my body, and lots fitter too.
Cycle two
Cycle two comes along and flips everything on its head. So, just as you’re feeling lighter and less bloated for cutting lots of carbs, this part of the plan puts them back in. On a workout day, you can have two refuel (carb) meals (as opposed to one in cycle one) and they’re all tasty.
The workouts are still demanding, but arguably slightly more enjoyable and maybe easier. Weights are introduced in order to build lean muscle, so although there are still some burpees, there are more chest presses, weighted squats and lunges. The dumb-bells can leave you aching in places you haven’t ached before, but there’s a good mix of weights and cardio.
Time restraints and a busy social calendar made cycle two tougher to stick with for me. I kept up all the exercise, but had the odd meal out, a small(ish) amount of booze and some chocolates that kept calling my name.
When you sign up to my tailored 90 Day Plan you’ll be eating incredible food from a banging menu that includes burgers, curries, pancakes and more 🤤🙌🏻 Find out more here: https://t.co/9oFpSCZChn pic.twitter.com/XC1lO4jUjH
— The Body Coach (@thebodycoach) 22 January 2019
By the end of the second batch of 30 days, I’d lost more weight and inches, could clearly see the results for myself, and felt fitter and happier.
Cycle three
Cycle three builds on the last two months of hard work. Wicks maintains this is the part where most people see the biggest change, because you’re in the habit of the eating regime and exercising regularly.
The workouts are strenuous, but you will be able to do them. Not everyone will keep up with the video or go the full 35 minutes without needing a breather, but you’ll be impressed at what you can achieve.
And, undoubtedly, you’ll see results. You’ll see body parts that belong to you looking properly sculpted. Don’t get me wrong – depending on your body, you may still have lots of wobbly bits, but you will see exactly where all the hard work has gone in. Which is nice.

The food is a little bit more down to you, though there is a new raft of recipes. If you enjoyed extra carbs on workout days during cycle two, and are happy with your results, you can keep it up. If it made you feel bloated or you weren’t happy with your measurements, go back down to one carb-fuelled meal on a workout day.
There’s no denying this regime is challenging. Unless you have loads of time on your hands, the workouts are still difficult to fit in, despite being a maximum of 35 minutes long.
The food is great, but prepping is the key to it all, which wipes out a load more time. And it is expensive to buy all of the ingredients.
But it can be fairly flexible, so if you want to socialise or go out for dinner, you can still make it work. And if you need a weekend off, have a weekend off, just make sure you get back on it come Monday.

Regram from @eatingmean 💪🏼 “December and end of Year stats are done 😊💪 Just over a year (4th December 2017) since I started @thebodycoach 90 Day Plan, which created such a fantastic start to my fitness journey. Keeping up my accountability here, it’s a bit like a little fitness diary that I’m sharing. Pleased with the results, fat mass down, lean mass up although I guess some of that will have extra carb water retention included as I’ve made my way through not 1 but 4 Chocolate Advent Calendars this month 😝. I’ve had extra treats but have learnt how to adapt to incorporate them in and have increased portion sizes often. I’ve learnt that salt is an absolute killer for me and it’s something I need to be cautious of as I’m now over 6 months off my high blood pressure tablets and do not want to return to that state. My goals are mainly weight based, not my weight but increasing the weights I lift, a total turn around in headspace and it feels good. My Tuesday Daily Blessings
December 4, 2018
Be still quiet your heart and mind, the LORD is here, loving you talking to you...........
Tuesday of the First Week of Advent (Roman Rite Calendar) Lectionary: 175
First Reading: Isaiah 11: 1-10
On that day, A shoot shall sprout from the stump of Jesse, and from his roots a bud shall blossom. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him: a Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, A Spirit of counsel and of strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD, and his delight shall be the fear of the LORD.
Not by appearance shall he judge, nor by hearsay shall he decide, But he shall judge the poor with justice, and decide aright for the land's afflicted.
He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.
Justice shall be the band around his waist, and faithfulness a belt upon his hips.
Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; The calf and the young lion shall browse together, with a little child to guide them. The cow and the bear shall be neighbors, together their young shall rest; the lion shall eat hay like the ox. The baby shall play by the cobra's den, and the child lay his hand on the adder's lair.
There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the LORD, as water covers the sea.
On that day, The root of Jesse, set up as a signal for the nations, The Gentiles shall seek out, for his dwelling shall be glorious.
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 72: 1-2, 7-8, 12-13, 17
"Justice shall flourish in his time and fullness of peace forever."
Verse before the Gospel:
Alleluia, Alleluia
"Behold, our Lord shall come with power; he will enlighten the eyes of his servants."
Alleluia, Alleluia
Gospel Reading: Luke 10: 21-24
Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."
Turning to the disciples in private he said, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it."
Meditation:
How does God bring his kingdom to us? Jesus remarked that many prophets and kings before him longed to see and understand God's plan for establishing his kingdom. When King David's throne was overthrown and vacant for centuries, God promised, nonetheless, to raise up a new king from the stump of Jesse, the father of David. This messianic king would rule forever because the Spirit of God would rest upon him and remain with him (Isaiah 11:1).
The Messiah King is anointed with divine wisdom and gifts of the Spirit Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would be equipped with the gifts of the Spirit - with wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2 - for an explanation of the gifts see this helpful article). This king would establish the kingdom of God, not by force of human will and military power, but by offering his life as the atoning sacrifice for the sin of the world. Through his death on the cross, Jesus, the true Messiah King, would defeat Satan, overcome death, and win pardon and reconciliation for sinners. God's plan of redemption included not only the Jewish people but all the nations of the earth as well. Through his death and resurrection Jesus makes us citizens of heaven and friends of God. The Lord Jesus wants us to live in joyful hope and confident expectation that he will come again to fully establish his kingdom of righteousness and peace.
What does Jesus' prayer (Luke 10:21-22) tell us about God and about ourselves? First, it tells us that God is both Father and Lord of earth as well as heaven. He is both Creator and Author of all that he has made, the first origin of everything and transcendent authority, and at the same time, goodness and loving care for all his children. All fatherhood and motherhood are derived from him (Ephesians 3:14-15). Jesus' prayer also contains a warning that pride can keep us from the love and knowledge of God.
The Lord opposes the proud but gives wisdom and understanding to the humble Pride closes the mind to God's truth and wisdom for our lives. Jesus contrasts pride with child-like simplicity and humility. The simple of heart are like "babes" in the sense that they see purely without pretense and acknowledge their dependence and trust in God who is the source of all wisdom and strength. They seek one thing - the "summum bonum" or "greatest good" which is God himself.
Simplicity of heart is wedded with humility, the queen of virtues, because humility inclines the heart towards grace and truth. Just as pride is the root of every sin and evil we can conceive, so humility is the only soil in which the grace of God can take root. It alone takes the right attitude before God and allows him as God to do all. "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6). The grace of Christ-like humility inclines us towards God and disposes us to receive God's wisdom, grace, and help. Nothing can give us greater joy than the knowledge that we are God's beloved and that our names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20). Do you seek God's wisdom and grace with humility and trust?
Through Christ we can personally know the Father and be united with him Jesus makes a claim which no one would have dared to make: He is the perfect revelation of God. Our knowledge of God is not simply limited to knowing something about God - who he is and what he is like. We can know God personally and be united with him in a relationship of love, trust, and friendship. Jesus makes it possible for each of us to personally know God as our Father. To see Jesus is to see what God is like. In Jesus we see the perfect love of God - a God who cares intensely and who yearns over men and women, loving them to the point of laying down his life for them upon the cross. Do you pray to your Father in heaven with joy and confidence in his love and care for you?
**Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, give me the child-like simplicity and purity of faith to gaze upon your face with joy and confidence in your all-merciful love. Remove every doubt, fear, and proud thought which would hinder me from receiving your word with trust and humble submission."

12/17/2017 DAB Transcript
Nahum 1:1-3:19, Revelations 8:1-13, Psalms 136:1-26, Proverbs 30:7-9
Today is the 17th day of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It's great to be here with you at the cusp, at the threshold, of a shiny, sparkly new week. And this is a big week. I mean, one week from today is Christmas Eve, which makes today the third Sunday in the season of Advent. And that distant day, that distant beacon, that's on every calendar, December 25th, Christmas Day, that we see all year long, that’s been so far off in the distance is upon us now. And we’ll be making final transitions during this week. We’ll touch eight different books of the Bible. And by the time we get to the end of this week we will be settled into the final books of the Old and New Testaments as we press forward to the to the new year. So, let's jump in. We’re going to read from the Old Testament, the entirety of the book of Nahum.
Nahum:
Nahum is another of the books of minor prophecy, which has nothing to do with significance and more to do with length. And, in some ways, we get a peek into the into the continuation of the story of Jonah. Right? So, Jonah was sent to Nineveh, we don’t have to retell that story. He was sent to Nineveh and they repent. Nahum is another book of prophecy written to the city of Nineveh. So, it's 150 years later. So, a century and half earlier, God sent Jonah to the city and when he delivered God's message Nineveh fell on its face and repented and were spared. Now, 150 years later, they’ve returned to their wicked ways and are as bad, if not worse, than they ever were. Nineveh was the capital city of the great Assyrian Empire and its conquests were known to be very brutal. And again, God sends a profit to Nineveh, Nahum, preaching repentance and a return to God. But this time the Ninevites did not listen and the prophecy of judgment came true in 625 BC with the destruction of Nineveh and the fall of the Assyrian Empire. This prophecy shows that God is merciful and patient, but He is not a pushover, and He will not stand for a nation's sin forever, which should spur us all on to be agents of change in the countries that we live, to be the catalyst for light and for repentance and a return to our God. So, we’ll be reading from the Names of God Bible this week. Nahum chapter 1 verse 1 through 3 verse 19.
Commentary:
Okay. So, in the book of Revelation, you know, we began with seven golden lampstands, and then seven letters to seven churches, and then seven seals that no one but the lamb could open. And he opened six of them and we went through that and then today we get to the seventh seal. And, so as we begin our reading today, when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And that's a pretty dramatic scene, to think about silence in heaven for half an hour. And that silence has been contemplated for a long time, as has every other word in this book. Some scholars think that the silence has to do with the fact that  as the seventh seal is broken and opened, there's no content, there's nothing to be revealed, and the content of the seventh scroll is contained in the actions that happen next. Some have said that because it's the seventh seal, there was a pause and God rested, in sort of Sabbath imagery. Some connect the silence to do a suspension of divine revealing or disclosure, or revelation. So, then you’ve got to try figure out how long half an hour in heaven, what that represents to time on earth, which is a tricky thing to do. Some would say it's just a moment of silence because of what's coming next. And others would say everyone is just simply struck to complete silence as the complete plan is finally revealed. And that’s just a few thoughts. Either way, there was silence in heaven for a half an hour as the seventh seal is opened. And then seven angels who stand in God's presence were given seven trumpets. And a lot of times these seven angels are associated with the seven archangels that are found in Jewish apocalyptic literature. For example, we talked about them when we talked about the book of Enoch. So, a lot of interpreters think these are the seven archangels. These the main angels in God's presence. And then another angel comes with a gold incense burner and stands at the altar, and he has incense to offer before the throne. And, so, he’s offering incense and also at the same time, the prayers of God's people are being offered. And, so, the smoke from the incense goes up before God, along with the prayers of God's people to God. And this imagery is ancient. And it’s still being used in the world today. So, depending on what kind of church that you go to, you may experience this every week, but no matter what kind of church you go to, you’ve probably seen it before, where, you know, a church service is starting, priests come in, they’re carrying certain things, like, they’re processing the cross, and maybe they have candles, and somebody has an incense burner and they’re swinging it. Right? And, so, the smoke is flowing out over the people as they process in. That's what this represents, a pleasing aroma intermingled with the prayers of God's people. That's what it symbolizes. So, whether or not you like smells and bells in your worship experience, this is happening in heaven before the throne of God in the book of Revelation, which is not to say, this needs to happen in your church on Sunday. It’s just to say, this is how these traditions are born. They’re aren’t these weirdo things usually. They have a rootedness in something ancient and when you understand them they bring meaning. And, so, after this after these prayers are offered to God along with the incense, the angel then takes the incense burner and fills it with fire from the altar and hurls it down upon the earth. And, yea, then things get a little crazy - thunder noise, lightning, an earthquake, and then the seven angels who have the seven trumpets get ready to blow them. And we don't get through all seven trumpet blasts in our reading today. We get through the first four. And many scholars and interpreters of the book of Revelation associate the things that happen after the trumpets are blown. So, for example, the first trumpet’s blown and hail and fire mixed with blood are thrown down on the earth. The second one blows his trumpet and a huge, something like a huge, mountain is thrown into the sea and one of the one third of the seas turn into blood. The third angel blows his trumpet, a huge star flaming like a torch falls from the sky and one third of the rivers and the springs, the waters turn bad. And the fourth trumpet blows and a third of the sun, a the third of the moon, and a the third of the stars are struck, so everything is darkened. Many scholars and interpreters find the pattern here to be very reminiscent of the plagues that were sent in the book of Exodus upon the Egyptians to set God's people free, and that this, in fact, is the point of how God's judgment works. Some people will receive the freedom brought from the refinement of judgment. Some people's hearts will be hardened to it and they will subsequently be destroyed by it. And that holds a lot of water because that's thematic in the Bible and helps us have a better understanding of God's judgment and what it does. Those who are righteous, those who are true, those who are pure, who have to endure suffering and hardship are refined by it and we find that all throughout the New Testament writings. And, so, the way we have to look at that is that our endurance is bringing about in us something far more mature and strong and loyal and faithful, within us. It is sanctifying us. It is re-creating us in the image of the Savior, and is a necessary part of our transformation, our being reborn. So, a person who looks at what they're facing from this perspective understands that all things are being worked together for our good, even if we lose our life in the process because we've learned to not hold onto it. We know that losing it is actually gaining it and nothing can take us from the presence of God. Nothing can steal us away. And we begin to realize that the presence of God is the one and only thing we can't live without. So, when judgment and hardship are on the earth and we encounter it, it is doing something completely different in us than those whose hearts are being hardened by it and to it and who are rejecting God. They will ultimately find justice in their own destruction, in their own hard heartedness, in what they bring down upon themselves, whereas those who are being true are being refined, purified. And because we’re kind of moving into this territory. You know, the argument of, well, what about the rapture? Who’s going to go through this stuff? Won't we be long gone and not have to experience in any or will we actually have to experience some or all of this? How is that going to work? Well, let's wait and see how this whole story unfolds before us. So far, and were eight chapters into the book of Revelation, so far we could say, okay, we’re not trying to do a bunch of interpretation here, we’re just trying to move through this territory and point out things and understand what the Revelation is saying and how it has been interpreted in widely diverse ways. So far, we haven’t encountered anything like what we would call the rapture. We have encountered that yet. And we’ll see if we do or where we do as we move forward. But one thing that we can say for certain that were seeing is that, as believers, our lampstand, our light has to be burning, and we have to stay true. Those are both necessary. And we looked, pretty extensively, at what that actually looks like when we were looking at the seven short letters to the seven churches. And we can also say that remaining true in spite of hardship or tribulation is imperative because what we might be going through is doing something completely different in us than those who are hardhearted and rejecting it. When we stay true, when our light is burning, when we are faithful to the message of Jesus we are changing things around us. And as we change things around us it is changing us to the point that, in the end, even if we have to die, even if we have to lose our lives, we haven't lost our life, it can't be taken from us. These things we can say that we are, for sure, learning in the book of Revelation.
Prayer:
Father, we invite You into that because so much…anytime we talk about suffering…anytime we talk about tribulation it freaks us out. In part, because of this book of Revelation, and part because it has pictures in it of things that we would rather not see. And yet You are showing us this is how the new thing that You are doing is born and You have personally invited us to be a part of the story by continuing to bring light and life and good news into this world as we lose ourselves further and further in our relationship with You, as we lose our grip on what we think we can control and find ourselves in You. So, come Holy Spirit. Continue the work that You have begun in us. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Community Prayer Requests and Praise Reports:
Good morning Daily Audio Bible family. This is my first time to call. I’m calling from Nebraska. And I’m calling because I just heard the prayer request from the woman in Wisconsin who is upset about her cousin getting married and I just want to encourage you, I’m sorry I don’t remember your name, but God knows, that His love for you has nothing to do with the actions of your cousin. When you were a child and now, your love and your relationship with God is completely separate. And I just pray that God would reveal himself to you in a completely new way, that you would come to understand His love in such a fresh way that your life would no longer be mixed up with your cousins actions or your actions as a child, that you’d be able to step into your future in a new relationship with the Lord. I pray this for you in Jesus name. Amen.
Good morning guys. This is Jenn in SoCal, AKA Prayer Warrior Princess. Joyce, in California, I hear so many people calling who love and support you, who are rooting for you. I understand that none of us can replace and heal the wounded soul areas that were created by what happened with your family, but we are all intimately connected with the one who can. You struck a chord with all of us and it’s evident you can count on us to intercede with Him for your victory. I'm going to remember you each year on December 20th because you share your birthday with my dad. Long after the echoes of your prayer request cease to ring in our ears from your call, they’re going to resonate in my heart each year. I bless you with quiet confidence, with securely anchored hope in Christ, with satiety, with the mind of Christ, and the power to think differently, according to His direction. May your soul tell your thought that I have enough, I am enough, I give and receive enough. May contentment flood your bones and refresh your parched cleff. May you consistently awaken with a strong sense of the Holy Spirit befriending you, seeing over you, delighting in you, encouraging you, upholding you, and propelling you forward, forgetting what lies behind and running your race with endurance as this great cloud of witnesses cheers for you. We love you Joyce. Victory in Jesus for you. Amen.
This is Claudia from Oroville, California. I want to pray that Christmas blessings of reconciliation for families that are difficult take place. Thank you, Daily Audio Bible.
Hi family. It’s Shannon from Texas again. And I called earlier today about my friend Sonya’s mom Rosie G. Rosie did not make it. It was unexpected. She went into septic shock. Sonya was forced to…not forced…but…she had to make a choice to take her mother off of life support because as she wasn’t going to make it…and it was awful. But just please lift her up. She lived with her mom and they came…fled to Texas together…and Sonja had her daughter removed by CPS after reporting some sexual abuse and her daughter’s for now in California and Sonja is left by herself. And I just can’t fathom the thought of her going back home. I’ve invited her to stay with me, but I don’t know if she’s going to do it. And she’s in the house by herself, doesn’t really have friends or family in Texas. And not even going to have anybody to put together a funeral for her mom. She needs it…she’s kind of…just now getting off of some prescription medication that she’s been addicted to and she’s gotten really close with the Lord, but, amen, she really, really needs the prayers because this is…this is hard on her. So, please lift her up. We know where her mother is. Rosie was an amazing lady, but she had a tough, tough life. She almost stressed herself to death, if she didn’t stress herself to death. She trusted the Lord. But she spent the last few weeks of her life worrying about Sonja and those kids. So, please lift them up. Lift Sonja up in her family situation. I don’t want her to be by herself right now. I will she’s not, but I love you and appreciate your prayers.
Hello DAB family. My name is Darren. This is my first year in sitting by the campfire with you guys and my first time calling. I honestly thought I was going to be able to ease through the end of the year without calling in and sharing my heart, but this morning my heart was just broken by a message that I heard from Marked as His, I believe, was her name, from Baltimore, Wisconsin. I wanted to let you know three things. The first thing is is that I thought you were so brave to share your story. And the second is that we are your family. We do love you. I don't know you but my heart broke so I know that we are connected and God has connected us through the power of his Holy Spirit and through this ministry. So, we are your family. You know, as Jesus said in Matthew 12:49. But you said a couple of things and I wanted to share part of my story. You were saying that you were dealing with some anxiety and self-doubt and what I’ve learned is is that to find the underlying emotion underneath that. And mine was anger. I was so angry that I felt that I had been robbed of something and that no one understood, but then God showed me in Proverbs 18:21 that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. And what you were saying, you know, that you wanted to be married, certainly, but that God was playing a joke on you and that you got the raw end of the deal. Certainly, I know sister, that was just your heart speaking and that I could tell that you don’t truly believe that, but we have to speak it as we know that it is and that it is only a trial and a test and something to get you off the path that God has called you for. And believe me, if the devil messed with you so…
