It’s all Kingsley can do to keep him out of his lap once they’re sitting because he knows he won’t be able to keep his hands to himself if he does and Caleb gets mopey when they get started without him on date nights. The last thing he wants tonight is a mopey Caleb Widogast. “Save some of yourself for Caleb, darling,” he mutters, a laugh lilting his voice, as he firmly keeps Essek planted on the lounge beside him. “You can enjoy me from here.” Or; Caleb is stuck in a meeting, Essek goes to Darktow early to wait with Kingsley, and Kingsley decides the two of them should get dressed up for Caleb. Also, they're both incredibly horny but neither want to get started without Caleb there. What could go wrong?
Originally intended as a a Wildflowers treat for @luddlestons, I fully lost control of the word count to Purple Horiness(TM) so now it's just a behemoth of a gift fic XD Luddles! I hope you enjoy the nonsense! Thank you for the SWK prompt, it was really fun to write Kingsley for once and I will definitely endeavor to write more of him from here on out 💜💜💜💜

[the monster, the mirror]
There is a beast inside me I cannot control, Caleb had said, but there were no monsters here. The wolf was sighing contentedly, moving only to shift closer to Essek, to direct his fingers this way or that. Essek ran his hands through Caleb's fur, marvelling at the thick texture. What a delight. He ran his touch along the scruff of his neck, along his back, along his flank, and still the wolf only wagged its tail. Essek spends a full moon with Caleb, determined to have everything go just right.

Relationships: Verin Thelyss & Yasha Nydoorin, Essek Thelyss/Caleb Widogast
Characters: Verin Thelyss, Yasha Nydoorin
“He’s going to die.” The silence that follows is so sudden and dense that Verin doesn’t realize at first he’s spoken the words out loud. He straightens up slowly, his movements stilted, and turns towards Yasha with apprehension etched on his face. She gives him a puzzled look, her eyes flickering between him and the balcony door. “You mean Caleb?”

"Essek, stop."
Caleb resists. Hands firm — not soft, not caressing — on Essek's shoulders, he holds him at arm's length. His eyes are searching, and Essek finds he cannot meet them.
"Bitte, be honest with me, dear. Do you want to have sex with me?"
"You want to." Essek says. "And I am willing. Is that not enough?"
Caleb sighs and drops his hands, though not before petting Essek's cheek so briefly. "No, it really isn't."

When he was a block away from home, Caleb felt a ping from the wards on his house. Someone had teleported inside. Only a select few were permitted to teleport within the walls of his home, and as far as he knew, only one had the capability. His heart skipped a beat and he quickened his pace, fighting to keep the grin from his face as he rounded the corner onto his street, hurried to his door, and opened it to the most welcome sight he had seen in weeks.
Essek stood in the living room, turned away. His hand rested on the back of the couch, and the edges of his travelling cloak rustled in the sudden shift of air. He looked over his shoulder at Caleb’s entrance. The early evening light shone over his nose and hair and cheekbone, casting the edges of him in gold. He smiled.
“Hello, Caleb Widogast.”

Chapter: 19/24
Summary: Six months ago, Beau adopted a teenager who loves the Cobalt Soul, but can't stand her. Ten minutes ago, Caleb accidentally summoned his own teenage self into his living room. So you know, they're both going though some shit.
At least Caleb's got experience befriending novice monks with attitude problems. And Beau's got experience befriending Caleb.
Chapter Summary:
Three apologies, two favors, and a nap.
_____
"Yasha. Yasha, wake up."
The tone more than the words sank into Yasha's dream, and she woke up already anxious. She instinctively reached for a sword that wasn't there as she opened her eyes. Beau sat cross-legged on the bed. She hadn't lit a lamp, and her eyes were enormous in the darkness.
"What's going on?" Yasha said. "Why aren't you in Port Damali?"
"It's Jasper," Beau said. "He ran away."
Yasha was halfway out bed before Beau caught her. "He's back! Sorry, sorry, he's back already." She eased Yasha back down to sitting. "He took a teleportation circle to Port Damali about an hour ago, but we caught up with him and convinced him to come back."
Yasha couldn’t put into words the fear she felt, waking up and realizing an entire disaster had happened while she was asleep. It was so much like waking up from the Iron Shepherds at Molly's grave. Like waking up from Obann after running through Beau's stomach. Waking up that first morning after leaving Zualla behind, knowing what must have happened.

Caleb Widogast and Essek Thelyss are deeply, happily in love. They have peace and each other. Neither could be more content. And then both realize they want to take another step. The customs of the Empire and Dynasty are rather different, however, and what is a wizard meant to do except research how to propose to his partner, with some help from friends along the way? Chapter Five: The day of the wizards' wedding arrives. There's a lot to do before the ceremony itself: There's breakfast to be eaten, conversations to be had with friends and family, clothes to be donned. It's a day worth luxuriating in, after all. And then, when dusk falls, it begins.
My dear friends. It is finally done, complete, and here. The fifth and final chapter. The wizards get married! At long last! Oh my word, what a road it has been. I've done some gushing in the end notes already, I'll do more here later. Just. Thank you, for reading along to this no-longer-little story about domestic wizards in love. I appreciate all of you 💜💜💜💜

“You said dunamis fucks with gravity and probability and shit, right?” The wizard paused in the middle of adjusting his scarf.  It was a moment of absolute stillness that betrayed his interest when he replied, very casually, “Ja.”  The looping of purple knit resumed.  The pattern in it was complex, the yarn sleek and expensive, somewhat at odds with his dusty coat.  Pretty?  Yes.  As attire for the desert?  Ludicrous. Maybe Ashton shouldn’t want this man’s opinion. “Why do you ask?”
