seeing the chernobyl fanfiction ask i got last month on my dash again and while i have never and will never write chernobyl fanfiction i feel like i might as well confess that i used to play littlest pet shop nuclear fallout disaster rp as a kid (nobody lives/everybody dies, graphic descriptions of radiation poisoning) so like anon wasn't that far off i guess

#🐉#i did it to cope with my childhood phobia of radiation (to the point that i wigged out if there were bananas in the house because i read #that they contained a small trace of radiation and thought i was going to die of radiation poisoning from banana proximity)#(i had some problems and issues okay. mostly exacerbated by my mom telling me that microwaves and mobile phones would cook my brain and #give me turbo cancer if i stood too near them because she fell down the alternative health conspiracy theory rabbithole HARD)#but also because i was like. fascinated by the horrors.#and then i grew up and lost my phobia but kept the hyperfixation #ANYWAYS

Doll head arrived and it’s definitely old, it’s nice and solid now and a bit yellowed.

So the thing is from the listing photos I was like “ah yeah that looks like a ddh06 from the eye holes” but I get it in and… I have a ddh06 already and the chin on this one is pointier and the mouth is higher up. I’m trying to look at other sculpts but I’m not seeing one that looks exactly the same (I am really bad with identifying sculpts though)

Please someone who actually knows about this stuff can you help me….. who is she…

I wish I liked the silent hill 2 remake more from everything in the trailers, but at least there’s the original

#it’s just a lot of small complaints that sum up to ‘just play the original game’#the environments look good; I like james’ design; the enemies looked scary!#but don’t like the voice acting; Maria’s outfit is bad. redesigns can be great but idk why they went with that combo 😭 office outfit #everything’s too?? clear? crisp?? I know it’s because the original is old so the quality is lower (technically)#but that helps with making it horrific and memorable #I don’t know the first thing about game design so take this lightly but #there Had to have been a way to make it a little more stylized. more unreal. make strange textures #but yeah mixed feelings on it #I was excited for the movie too because all the bts looked great but the characters?????????#why is costuming like that??? Maria’s wig? 😭#might delete #oh and the gameplay looks fine for it #but need to stress that combat is never high up on the list of important silent hill traits for those games #itll be nice to have it more accessible than the first games tbh

multiple people asking me if i dyed my hair just for my HQ act like no babes i styled this wig. and then them being all U DIDN'T BUY IT LIKE THAT ?!

#bat rambles #i'm a crafter / maker by trade and like #it's really irritating that people assume i bought the stuff i made #my wig is REALLY nice even with the shortcuts i took on it #like nicer than most wigs people are getting on amazon #again even with the shortcuts i took bc i wasn't building a part into a wig fuck that #but i spent a LONG time sharpie dying the roots and the tips of the pigtails #and i also sewed wefts in and combs and cut the bangs #i also had to recurl the pigtails once they were done #and that's a skill too bc i used a new method that i now prefer as my wig curling method if it isn't as thick as my starfire wig #ANYWAYS just #complaining bc this happened on my other harley too #i entered her in a competition that i won best in show at but like #the judges thought i had bought it and was trying to lie at the craftsmanship contest like #it wasn't even a big event it was a rly small one #but when they told me they thought i bought that costume i wilted away #i was like nooooo i spent so much time sewing this shit #and dying my wig XDDD #i literally have 5 different harley wigs don't @ me

guys I am SO excited for Halloween <-(knows her costume won’t turn out the way she wants it to and will be very upset about it. is still excited because she gets to dress up though.)

#Actually maybe this year will be good #Because the only problems the previous two years were wigs #2021 had one flat side when it was supposed to be sort of spiky? fluffy? idk (+I do NOT suit short orange hair)#And 2022 the wig was falling off and giving me a headache because it was WAYY too small and heavy (long wig) +it kept shedding #so.. maybe this year will be good #Im getting my hopes up #daisy yip yaps #probably the only thing ill be upset about is no cool colored contacts because they’re expensive and scary

Well Loongsoul is having a sale, and I’ve been waffling about getting Bai Jue for shang dollhua, since it’d be a hassle to get Ringdoll Ozhu to work (even though I still think he’d be great...if he were the right size), and I can’t seem to find a lot of information about the measurements for Gouhai (looks like the head measurement might be 22cm, which is bigger than ying zhou, which feels weird, and I can’t find a neck measurement at all). Soo I guess this is my sign to go with Bai Jue xD

I still think the LS 62cm body is weirdly long and tubular, but he’ll be clothed and if it really bothers me, I could eventually buy a different one, either the v.5 62 cm from DF-H or the 60.5 cm one from Guu Doll.

I thought about Yan Ling too, but I think that’s mostly because i love his wig styling which i used for inspiration for my consort!SQH drawing lol and his full set isn’t available anymore anyway
